Since the season count was reset, Call of Duty: Mobile has entered its second season, which continues to add new and exciting features to the mobile game. With operators, maps, and more introduced to the game in Day of Reckoning, Call of Duty: Mobile fans have a lot of new content for players to try. The plot of Call of Duty: Mobile is progressed in this new season, which also features the return of two fan-favorite maps.

Season 2 of Call of Duty: Mobile adds a range of fan-requested features. Players who log in to the game will get a brand new operator for free, and the battle pass will unlock some new weapons. Fans of Call of Duty: Mobile will be able to find content from other Call of Duty games in the famous mobile shooter, as usual.

In this latest version, Call of Duty: Mobile finally gets the two classic maps, Shipment and Shoothouse. These famous maps are from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and they’re often requested because of their tight-knit and fast-paced action. Aside from these maps, Tier 21 unlocks the AS VAL, and Tier 14 unlocks a new killstreak. Each season offers players the chance to win freebies for their accounts as well as special prizes tied to that season.

For Gunfight, Call of Duty: Mobile is introducing a 3v3 Snipers Only mode that will put the player’s accuracy to the test on the move. This iconic mode can also be seen in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, making it a well-known and well-liked gaming mode.

The AS VAL, the weapon being given away this season, has been teased for several weeks. Since the AS VAL is a power suppressed assault weapon, players have been anticipating its arrival in the game for quite some time. If players learn how to use the gun properly in a mobile environment, they can get a powerful shoot-out in Call of Duty: Mobile.

Since Season 2 of Call of Duty: Mobile is already in its early stages, it’s unclear what content will be published later. Throughout the season, the developers host events, offer additional updates and continue to promote the game’s community. It will be fascinating to see how the Call of Duty: Mobile Day of Reckoning impacts the storyline and its devoted audience as further updates are released.

The Most Popular Forms of Online Gambling Have Been Revealed

0

In the past decade, the online gambling industry has boomed. Between 2019 and 2020, its value increased from $58.9 billion to $66.7 billion – a figure that’s expected to grow again by 2023, to an incredible $92.9 billion.

Most of the growth within the industry pertains to the online sector, and it’s not difficult to understand why. Offering economy, accessibility, and flexibility, internet gaming brings the fun of the casino to an individual’s front door. But which games, in particular, are people playing? Recently released figures provide us with an answer.

Casino games (32.4 percent)

Following not far behind sports betting are casino games, such as slots and online scratchcards at Betfair and other similar sites. These enable players to enjoy the games and entertainment they might find in a Las Vegas gambling den but without the need to leave their homes.

Designed to be immersive, engaging, and realistic, these games are able to transport players, conjuring all the excitement of their brick-and-mortar counterparts. However, they have a few added upsides, including improved accessibility and flexibility. With an average return to player ratio of 90 percent plus, they offer the chance to win real prizes through your computer or phone screen.

As these numbers indicate, there are now an awful lot of people gambling online. According to statistics published on Gambling.net, roughly 26 percent of the world’s population gambles at least once per year, with the figure closer to 64 percent for America specifically.

Sports betting (42.5 percent)

The numbers tell us that the most popular form of online gambling is sports betting, with this accounting for 42.5 percent of all online activity. If you’re not quite sure what it entails, sports betting is where an individual tries to predict the outcome of a sporting event and places money on this occurring.

PledgeSports.org reveals that the most popular sports to bet on are football, horse racing, tennis, and golf. Billions of dollars per year are gambled on the former alone, with an especially high volume of bets placed in the UK.

Lotteries (12.6 percent)

Though we often forget to think of them as gambling, lotteries are another popular form of online play. They account for roughly 12.6 percent of all internet gambling activity, with lots of us purchasing the occasional ticket.

With they might be a virtual incarnation of an old classic, the jackpots on offer are very real, and most mega draws are available to people across the globe. This means, for example, that the biggest European lotteries, such as El Gordo, are also open to US nationals.

Bingo (4.3 percent)

In fourth place (and the final option to be featured on this list) is bingo. Once enjoyed primarily by an older audience, bingo has undergone something of a renaissance since it made the leap to online play. Now enjoyed by people from a vast range of demographics, it has never been more popular.

However, bingo hasn’t lost its core appeal, which lies in its unpredictability. A game of pure chance, its outcome is impossible to call, which is half of the fun for players. A social game even online, thanks to the chat features developed by many virtual casinos, it offers a fun way to spend a couple of hours on an evening.

Tell us, if you were going to try your hand at online gambling, which of these games would most appeal to you?

Call of Duty Warzone First Anniversary Event Let’s Players Check Their Stats

Today is the one-year anniversary of Call of Duty: Warzone and the immensely successful battle royale game is keeping it low-key. After a year packed with gulag battles, final circle confrontations, bugs, crashes, in-game incidents, and the ever-changing meta of guns in Warzone, fans will focus on the year with the Warzone Report.

Fans of Call of Duty: Warzone have a lot of concerns about what the next year will bring as the game approaches its one-year anniversary. The question of whether or not a new map is on the way is at the forefront.

Fans have been clamoring for a new map since last summer, but as the first anniversary approached, the demand became even stronger. A vast number of rumors and suspected leaks say that transition is on the way, with Verdansk being obliterated by a nuke or nukes being the most possible scenario.

cod-warzone-report-scaled-8479633

Although fans are still busy speculating on what could be coming to Call of Duty: Warzone, the official Call of Duty Twitter account has made the Warzone Report feature available for players to review their stats from the previous year.

When players respond to a post with their Activision account name/number, they will get a map with the player’s kill/death ratio, hours played, and wins, as well as a few other stats relevant to those numbers.

This content is included in the game and on several websites, but in a neat tidy box like this, the Warzone Report gives players a simple image to spam out to their squadmates and brag about with ease.

Although not everybody will be Aydan and his crew smashing the Warzone squad kill record in a wagers match, others will be happily shocked to discover their stats are higher than they expected. Though several players still obsessively monitor their in-game stats and are well aware of their standings.

Warzone has been the unofficial centerpiece of the Call of Duty series, drawing a broad player base and welcoming many newcomers to the COD universe. As a result, rumors that Call of Duty 2021 will be announced in Warzone seem to be real. Given Warzone’s continued popularity, a similar in-game occurrence for COD 2021 seems logical.

With zombies slowly entering Verdansk, or so people think, the anniversary antics might not be limited to just the Warzone Report, but fans may have to wait and see what else happens now that Year 2 is officially underway.

Rogue Company Introduces New Playable Character Seeker

Rogue Company, a 4v4 team-based multiplayer shooter from Hi-Rez Studios, has added a new character to its roster. Kestrel, a founding member of the Rogue Company who uses the Riptide Assault Rifle and the Knight SMG to deal with enemies, was revealed in a Rogue Company cinematic trailer last month. Seeker, a 21-year-old Olympic medalist in archery who shoots arrows with scanning ability to provide intel for his squad, joins the game this month.

Seeker’s talents were noted by the Rogue Company crew, and they agreed to introduce him into the group. He aided in the attack on the Jackal’s Hollow foundation, which will be released as a new map as part of Season 1 content.

Seeker carries a number of weapons in addition to his bow. He has Sticky Sensors that he can put in strategic positions to detect enemy activity, as well as Bounce Grenades that he can use to hold opponents on their toes.

Seeker’s first trailer shows him practicing his weapons. His arrows appear to ricochet several times before ceasing to be a threat, along with his Bounce Grenades. Seeker’s willingness to collect intelligence positions him squarely in the Intel Rogue group, and he’ll join Rogue Company members like Dallas and Talon in hunting down enemy locations and setting up favorable engagement opportunities for his squad.

In a packed gallery of team-based shooters, Rogue Company has managed to find an audience. Since its launch as a PC exclusive on the Epic Games Store, the game has expanded to over 15 million subscribers. Rogue Company has also piqued the attention of gamers, landing in the top ten most successful titles on the Epic Games Store in 2020.

Seeker is the most recent character to be added to the game as part of the Season One update, although further characters are expected to be added as 2021 progresses. Since its debut in 2020, the free-to-play Rogue Company has received daily updates and shows no signs of slowing down.

Later this month, Paradise Lost, a post-apocalyptic adventure that combines Slavic mythology with futurism and technology, will be released.

Paradise Lost is an exciting project from PolyAmorous, a studio that believes in the potential and value of gaming. Players will take on the part of Szymon, a 12-year-old boy who is mourning, who will go through the five stages of grief.

plg_key_art_1_1920x1080px-1410633

Already a frightening subject, Paradise Lost gives World War 2 a terrifying twist: instead of lasting just six years, it lasts twenty in Paradise Lost, resulting in a post-apocalyptic wasteland version of Europe. Szymon is accompanied by an enigmatic girl called Ewa, whose real motives are unclear.

Szymon reveals himself in an underground Nazi bunker while trying to solve the puzzle of his heritage in Paradise Lost, a vast environment built to accommodate not just Nazi troops but also people to keep the place going.

Players will explore the shelter, search for answers, and solve puzzles, with little to no fighting occurring in PolyAmorous’s debut game. The basic controls, PolyAmorous states, are supposed to attract attention to the essential relationships.

According to the trailers, Paradise Lost has beautiful architecture that is backed up by layers of plot. According to the writer, depending on the player’s decisions, the story of Paradise Lost can branch in various directions, affecting the characters, graphics, and sound effects. In addition, aspects of Slavic mythology would be present in the post-nuclear era.

Players that pre-order Paradise Lost, which will cost $14.99, will receive a 20% discount on Xbox One and a 34% discount on PC from GOG.

Astro’s Playroom was released alongside the PS5 in November of 2020 as a pre-installed title that takes full advantage of the new DualSense controller’s technology. Astro’s Playroom wasn’t a full-fledged title with hundreds of hours of gameplay, but it was a tight, 3-4 hour game that successfully celebrated PlayStation’s heritage as well as the company’s classic intellectual properties including God of War and Uncharted.

The game’s catchy soundtrack was also praised by fans, especially a song called ‘I’m Your GPU’ that plays during one of the game’s stages. Astro’s Playroom fans who have been enamored of the game’s music will be delighted to hear that the downloadable version of the soundtrack will be released on streaming platforms soon.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge Beat ‘Em Up Officially Announced

0

One of the greatest legacies for licensed properties in the video game industry is the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise. The first sprite-based Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles beat ’em up arcade games effectively built the legacy 30 years ago.

And it’s still a winning formula after three decades. With that in mind, publisher Dotemu has revealed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, a new nostalgia-filled beat ’em up in progress for PC and consoles from developer Tribute Games.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is planned to evoke the original 1987 anime series and its 1989 arcade game, according to Dotemu. In the newly released trailer, this is very apparent.

teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles-shredders-revenge-revealed-as-a-new-2d-tmnt-beatem-up_feature-1927977

The animated trailer begins with a shot of the city, followed by footage of the turtles appearing out of nowhere. It’s a faithful modernization of the beginning of both the 1987 and the 1989 arcade games. Shredder’s Revenge is unmistakably a love letter to the now-classic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles adventures.

However, the show’s and game’s impact does not end there. Many of the game’s designs, including the turtles themselves, Shredder, April O’Neil, and even the Technodrome, are based on the originals, as seen in the animated series. The gameplay itself tends to be highly influenced by the arcade game from 1989. It has the same pixel art style as the original, as well as the same methodical beat ’em up gameplay.

According to the teaser, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge will be based entirely on the 1987 animated series. The list of villains used in the teaser is the greatest proof of that. There’s Captain Zorax of the Triceraton Empire, Krang, Rocksteady, and Bebop, Shredder himself, the Foot Clan, Mousers, Chrome Globe, and Baxter the Fly. It wouldn’t surprise me if Krang’s Rock Soldiers or even Lord Dregg turned up at any point. Dotemu may also render a sequel.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge will have both a standard story mode and an online 4-player cooperative multiplayer mode, according to the game’s overview. Many who have played some of the franchise’s multiple beat ’em up games would be familiar with the gameplay, though Dotemu teases some “super-fresh” mechanics as well.

All that’s missing from the revelation is a release date and a list of consoles the game will release. Tribute Games, the company behind Flinthook, Mercenary Kings, and Panzer Paladin, has recently published games for PC, Nintendo, PlayStation, and Xbox, so it should be well-prepared. More specifics will be published in the coming weeks and months.

Meyers Leonard Suspended From NBA Due To Anti-Semitic Slur In Warzone Stream

0
16021467878327

Meyers Leonard, an NBA player, made an anti-semitic remark on a Call of Duty: Warzone Twitch stream the other day, and his sponsors and FaZe Clan have since distanced themselves from him. Meyers Leonard has been suspended by his team, the Miami Heat, and the NBA is reportedly investigating the incident.

Meyers Leonard has also “apologized” for the affair, saying that he didn’t understand the word. This seems impossible, considering that he seems to pause before spouting the word on his Twitch stream. It came off as more of an effort to salvage some positive PR, but it just helped to make things harder for him.

This is one of the examples of people failing to recognize the strength of their language, such as when a FIFA player verbally assaulted real-life player Ian Wright after losing a video game match using the player’s virtual counterpart.

Meyers Leonard has seen a major decrease in sponsorships as a result of the Warzone stream, including Origin, Astro Gaming, and Scuf. Despite not sponsoring Leonard, the famous eSports clan FaZe Clan has also announced that it will part ways with him. It’s likely that the two sides can no longer cooperate on games or content.

Meyers Leonard’s case isn’t the first time a famous person makes an anti-Semitic joke and loses a lot of money as a result. PewDiePie faced a similar scenario in 2017, where he was expelled from a Disney-owned corporation for abusive conduct. Despite the fact that the YouTuber is still doing well, it was a particularly contested time of his career that has hung over him for years and turned many people against him.

Meyers Leonard’s return to the NBA is uncertain at this point. It’s entirely probable that his remark’s bluntness would result in his permanent dismissal from the game. The player isn’t a minor league either; he stands a towering 7 foot tall and had to start two games for the Miami Heat in the 2020 NBA Finals.

The ADL, for example, has drawn parallels between bigotry and gaming. With Leonard’s clout and celebrity, it’s risky for him to be spouting anti-semitic language that younger kids might pick up on privately.

Leonard has been chastised in the past for kneeling for the national anthem as his teammates and the Denver Nuggets kneeled in favor of the Black Lives Matter campaign. He was the only one who stood, and he said that he did so out of love for the US military since his brother is a marine.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons Will Be Collaborating With Build-a-Bear

0
untitled-10

It appears that Animal Crossing: New Horizons will be having yet another collaboration soon. In a recent announcement, Build-A-Bear Workshop revealed that it will be releasing an Animal Crossing: New Horizons collection, which means that anytime soon, dedicated fans will be able to purchase and take home some of their favorite villagers, as well as decorate and dress them up.

That being said, this crossover isn’t entirely that surprising; the American retailer already teased a collaboration with Nintendo’s life simulation game last year. Animal Crossing: New Horizons launched last March 2020, which unsurprisingly saw a surge in popularity, especially since the lockdown regulations were put into practice around that time in many countries around the globe.

As such, many different companies were clamoring to join the trend by either creating their own in-game island themed around their brand, or by releasing merchandise. Around that time, a Twitter user said that it would be a “cultural reset” if Animal Crossing and Build-A-Bear were to collaborate with one another, and the latter responded with a mysteriously vague tweet which hinted at the possibility of a future partnership.

During that time, fans who saw Buila-A-Bear’s response didn’t think much of it, and simply brushed it away to the back of their minds. However, it appears that there really was something brewing behind the scenes, as Build-A-Bear revealed earlier that it will be launching an Animal Crossing: New Horizons collection soon.

The tweet contains a link to the company’s UK and US websites, but there’s not much information on both just yet except for a “Coming Soon!” However, interested fans are given the option to sign up for exclusive updates regarding the collaboration. Those who do enter their email will receive a message once the collection is available.

Since this exciting announcement, fans are already beginning to theorize which New Horizons villagers will be featured as Build-A-Bears. Since Build-A-Bear is known for plush customization, it’s highly likely that we’ll be seeing some of the fan-favorite villagers, especially those much-coveted ones who are sold and traded for millions of bells.

For instance, the rainbow sheep villager named Dom was incredibly popular when the Switch exclusive title was initially launched. Marshal and Raymond were also villagers who were often in the spotlight. There’s a bunch of other adorable villagers that would be perfect as plush toys, like Lily, Coco, and Stitches. Of course, Isabelle will always have a special place in players’ hearts, so we’ll probably see her too.

Despite the excitement, there’s one thing that’s making the fans worry: scalpers. And it’s understandable why this is a major concern, especially when scalpers also ruined the Animal Crossing: New Horizons x ColourPop collaboration.

Since Animal Crossing is such a popular and widely renowned franchise, it’s highly likely that scalpers will purchase as many stuffed toys as possible from the collection in order to resell them for ridiculously high prices. However, interested fans may have more of a fighting chance in this case, seeing as Build-A-Bear offers fans the opportunity to customize plushes.

Capcom Says Resident Evil 8 Early Access Invitations Are Fake

0
re8_big_lady

Capcom has provided a warning about phishing attempts posing as Resident Evil Village early access invites from unknown sources; recipients should delete those email correspondences immediately, according to the firm. This isn’t the first time con artists have preyed on adoring fans and pundits.

Ubisoft recently revealed a Far Cry 6 scam in which fake beta access information was sent to streamers and content creators via phishing emails. Until THQ Nordic and developer Experiment 101 announced the action-May RPG’s 2021 release date, Biomutant fans were attacked in a phishing scheme in January.

resident-evil-village-4-696x442-4332573

As a consequence, a common trend is that scammers are targeting fans of games with minimal information in the hopes of encouraging them to click on malicious phishing links by offering unique, and non-existent, bits of information and entry. Resident Evil Village, which hasn’t been seen in detail since the Resident Evil Showcase in January, is now at the forefront of a related scheme.

According to reports, Capcom has given a warning about an email scam that offers Resident Evil Village fans early access invitations. The sender’s address reads as “no-reply(at)capcom(dot)com”. These texts, however, are not from Capcom.

Anyone who receives such correspondence is advised not to answer, download files, or click on links, according to Capcom. Since the emails “appear to be phishing attempts by an unknown third party,” the only course of action is to remove them right away, according to Capcom’s comment.

resident-evil-village-playstation-4-xbox-one-2680577

At this time, it’s unclear how long the early access scam had been going on before Capcom became aware of it, so let’s hope no one was taken advantage of. These gaming-related phishing attempts are especially reprehensible, and they’re getting more unsettling as network protection issues grow.

In November 2020, Capcom was struck by a major ransomware attack, which resulted in a number of leaks concerning the company’s corporation, current ventures, and future plans. Since then, the publisher has acknowledged that the data leak was much worse than first thought, with records belonging to executives, associates, and clients being affected.
