Fortnite’s fourth season is jampacked with new superhero content from Marvel. For instance, the game has added superhero skins such as Iron Man, She-Hulk, and Wolverine in their Battle Pass feature.
Not only that, but Fornite has also recently added the Stark Industries to the map, along with new superpowers. Now, their latest addition to the item shop is from Star Wars, another popular Disney franchise.
Star Wars has made its way to Fortnite yet again with the addition of the new X-Wing Glider. As of right now, it’s available for 1,200 V-Bucks in the game’s item shop. During the previous Star Wars x Fornite collaboration, there were exclusive skins for characters from The Last Jedi, such as Kylo Ren and Rey.
Not only that, but players could also purchase the Y-Wing Bomber Glider last time. Now, on the other hand, you can get your hands on the X-Wing as a glider.

New Star Wars items usually get added to Fortnite as a way to promote upcoming movies or video games. For example, a Stormtrooper skin was added to promote the release of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
In this case, the X-Wing Glider is a promotion for Star Wars: Squadrons, which will be released on October 2. As a matter of fact, you can get the glider for free if you preorder Star Wars: Squadrons.
Around the same time the X-Wing Glider was added to the shop, a new animated short for Star Wars: Squadrons was released by EA. It makes sense that these two were released at the same time, though, since the animated trailer featured an X-Wing.
As such, we wouldn’t be surprised if this marks the start of a promotion that will bring more Star Wars: Squadrons content to Fortnite. If this does happen, we will likely see more spacecrafts or pilot attires in the game, since Squadrons is a spacecraft combat title.
Similar to the other gliders you can use in Fortnite, you simply hold on to the bars found at the bottom. Given the fact that Fortnite’s current season features Marvel-themed cosmetics and Star Wars-themed items, we’re curious to see what situations this combination will bring about.
