PlayStation Announces Days of Play 2021 Event Along With Special Rewards

Sony’s annual Days of Play event will take place later this month, which means PlayStation owners can expect discounts on select software, not only for the PlayStation 4 but also for the PlayStation 5.

The PlayStation Player Celebration, a three-week experience that requires the group to participate in events in order to win unique rewards, is the main theme of this year’s community celebration.

PlayStation gamers, whether on PS4 or PS5, can participate in these group events simply by playing games. Per week consists of a single-stage, the first of which begins on May 18th, and the group must work together to complete the stage by hitting specific deadlines.

They must, for example, complete a set of PS4/PS5 games (each game must be completed for at least an hour to count) to win a set of trophies (each player can only contribute a maximum of six).

Stage One, for example, includes 2.4 million games played and 7.2 million trophies won between May 18th and May 24th. Any participating player will obtain an exclusive PS4 dynamic theme and PSN avatar if the goal is reached on time.

Each stage also has a bonus objective that, if met, will result in extra prizes such as additional avatars. Furthermore, if all of the goals are met (excluding the bonus goals), anyone who participated each week will get a new PS4 theme and PSN avatar.

One important point is that PlayStation Plus is not needed to join or receive prizes, so no one has to think about losing out. On the other hand, playing games with mates earn players double points, so getting PS Plus is a plus.

The only drawback is that PS5 owners will not get any special theme prizes. Custom themes are still unavailable on the PS5, and there are no plans to include them in the near future. PS5 users will not be allowed to demand the PS4 themes since they are only available for the PS4.

It’s at least comforting to know that everyone, regardless of console, will participate. It’s been six months since the PS5 was released, and getting one is still extremely difficult. Furthermore, Sony has reported that supply shortages could last until 2022.

Aside from that, Sony is planning another deal, but no specifics have been released. Finally, later this month, a free gaming weekend will be held. PS Plus is usually expected to play online multiplayer, so this is a fantastic chance to take advantage of, as it will inspire more people to sign up for the service.

For a Special Weekend celebration near the end of the month, Pokémon GO is partnering with a number of partners worldwide, including Verizon in the United States, 7-Eleven in Mexico, and Yoshinoya in Japan.

Resident Evil Village sold a lot of copies in its first weekend, making it one of the franchise’s best-selling titles. Because of the popularity of Resident Evil 7’s soft reboot and recent remakes of older games, Resident Evil Village has been a widely anticipated game for quite some time.

Since panned games like Resident Evil 6, the franchise has had a successful comeback, with Resident Evil Village receiving rave reviews. The eighth mainline entry in the series builds on the success of the previous installments by doubling down on the first-person viewpoint and allowing for new types of horror beyond the usual zombie violence seen in the series’ early installments. According to Valve CEO Gabe Newell’s latest tease, the well-known wireless marketplace Steam may be coming to consoles very soon. It’s unclear what form this version of Steam on consoles would take, but it seems that something is in the works, which may be promising for console gamers who have wished for more Valve support in recent years.

Following the success of Half-Life: Alyx, one of Valve’s first major single-player releases since Portal 2, the studio is gearing up for a renaissance within its own studio. Today, Fortnite revealed its most recent upcoming multiplayer event. The Teen Titans Cup will be held in the tournament, and Beast Boy, everyone’s favorite green-skinned, wise-cracking, shapeshifting vegetarian, will be there.

Garfield is a fictional character. A recent teaser trailer seems to confirm the speculation that John Rambo will be a playable character in Call of Duty. Since its inception in 2003, the hugely successful first-person shooter series has had new annual launches nearly every year. John Rambo is the protagonist of the legendary Rambo action film franchise, which opened in 1982 with First Blood, starring Sylvester Stallone.

Several tweets from the official Call of Duty Twitter account have sparked speculation that John Rambo will be included in the series’ most recent episodes, Call of Duty: Warzone and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. The first hint showed some statistics for an extremely talented Call of Duty player who allegedly scored 552 kills in just 7 hours of gameplay.

Fans quickly realized that these figures, as well as the player’s username SURVIVORJOHN#1009062, all refer to Stallone’s legendary character’s on-screen exploits. Later tweets from the Call of Duty Twitter account went even deeper, implying that John McClane from Die Hard and the Terminator may be joining the first-person shooter series.

Given the events of Call of Duty: Warzone, the arrival of 80s action hero Rambo in Call of Duty is very fitting. The free-to-play battle royale installment of the series just reached its third season, and the game has undergone significant improvements as a result of the seasonal transition.

Over the next few months, the makers of WWE 2K22 have promised some interesting behind-the-scenes video from their newest release. Last year, 2K and Visual Concepts placed the squared circle series on hold due to the disappointing launch of WWE 2K20, which was riddled with bugs and crashes, rendering the game unplayable and casting a pall over the long-running WWE gaming franchise.

WWE gamers were introduced to WWE 2K Battlegrounds last year instead of a true sequel, a cartoonish effort to revive the arcade-style old-school wrestling games. It received only a marginally stronger reception than the infamous WWE 2K20. However, as promised in its launch trailer during last month’s WrestleMania, 2K returns to the more serious mat-simulation market with WWE 2K22.

WWE 2K22’s creators have revealed that in the coming months, they will give fans a closer look at the game’s development phase in a brief YouTube video that was posted earlier today. Visual Concepts artistic director Lynell Jinks promises a special look at 2k22’s motion capture, character design, and facial recognition, which he claims is just part of the process of making sure the next game “hits different” from the previous one. The world of wrestling-themed video games is becoming more entertaining. Aside from WWE 2K22, there was a new patent filing for the Nintendo 64 classic WWE No Mercy – but this is more likely to do with merchandise, or a resurrected PPV show than a remaster of the influential game.

In addition, competing promotion All-Elite Wrestling is working on its own game franchise, including recruiting former WWE developer Yukes, as it has done with some of Vince McMahon’s former employees in the last year or so. That isn’t even considering how wrestlers have become well-known celebrities in the gaming world, such as New Day member Xavier Woods, who hosts a video game rivalry show on the newly resurrected G4TV.

It’s no secret that 2K and Visual Concepts will face a difficult task in regaining fans’ confidence after the debacle that was WWE 2K20. Perhaps by giving some fans some insight into how the newest brand is being rebuilt from the ground up, WWE 2K22 will be able to reclaim some of the broken goodwill when it releases this fall. Halo Infinite Introduces New Weapons, Brutes, & Transport Warthog

343 Industries has revealed three new details about Halo Infinite, which is still expected to release on PC and Xbox by the end of 2021. The Scrap Cannon is a new weapon, and the Razorback is a new wheeled vehicle, as well as two new Brute characters that Master Chief will meet on his journey.

Halo Infinite was supposed to be out in November 2020, alongside the Xbox Series X/S. Microsoft and its collaborators were so committed to meeting the deadline that Master Chief was featured on the console box art, and a Monster Energy campaign promising in-game prizes for a game that couldn’t be purchased went ahead.

The game was moved back to a vague 2021 release date in August 2020, perhaps due to pandemic-related development problems, but more than certainly due to harsh reviews of a July graphics preview. According to 343 Industries in a blog post, the Scrap Cannon is a turret-mounted weapon used by the Banished’s Brute power and was originally known as the “Gatling Mortar.” Like any of Halo’s other heavy guns, Master Chief will be able to aim it from a turret or disconnect it.

This will almost certainly come at the expense of precision and moving speed, not least because fighting will otherwise be seriously unbalanced. Meanwhile, the Razorback, a “more spacious and durable relative” of the famed four-wheeled Warthog, has been unveiled.

According to model art, it should be able to accommodate more passengers, but the exact number is unknown. There’s also no sign of a turret, which means it’ll have to rely on crew firepower to defend itself. The explanation of 343 may imply that it would be more resistant to siege. Hyperius and Tovarus, two imposing Brute brothers who will likely prove to be formidable enemies in the game, were also teased in concept art by 343 Games.

The studio has remained tight-lipped over a new release date, but a revised Halo Infinite trailer is expected to debut at E3 2021 in June. Updated campaign screenshots were released at the end of April, and 343 has been increasingly releasing other content in the hopes of appeasing fans. It’s also hinted that “glorious plans afoot” for the summer are in the works, but it’s unclear if this means anything other than more teaser content.

Since 2017, when the real-time strategy game Halo Wars 2 was released for PC and Xbox One, the Halo series has been largely inactive. Halo 5: Guardians, the most recent big FPS title, was released in 2015. Even if some critics were dissatisfied with the campaign, it received mainly positive feedback. In reality, Halo Infinite is intended to pay homage to the first game in a number of ways, including reintroducing the Flood.

Both Yveltal and Sylveon will make their Pokémon GO debuts at the game’s forthcoming Luminous Legends Y case in the second half of May. As it approaches its five-year milestone, Niantic’s virtual reality smartphone game has continued to retain a large user base after its huge popularity in 2016.

Niantic has lavished new updates on its characters in the first half of 2021 to commemorate the fifth anniversary. The Marill Limited Research Gathering, which took place on May 9, was Pokémon GO’s more recent, although smaller, activities.

However, there were some problems when the event was started two days ahead of schedule, prompting Niantic to reset the success of some excited players who took advantage of the error. Now that Niantic has planned a much bigger in-game event for the last two weeks of May, it’s safe to assume the developer will be much more cautious to prevent another early release.

The Luminous Legends Y event will begin on Tuesday, May 18 at 10:00 a.m. local time and will be divided into two sections, according to a blog post from Pokémon GO. The first portion will run until Monday, May 24 at 8:00 p.m., which will include Yveltal’s debut as a five-star raid, among other things.

Part two starts on Tuesday, May 25, and runs until Monday, May 31, simultaneously as part one. Sylveon will make his Pokémon GO debut during this time, along with several Eevee-inspired features and other event-specific updates.

It seems to be only a matter of time before Pokémon GO contains the full list of Pocket Monsters from all previous years. Making activities out of these new additions, on the other hand, seems to be a decent way to keep the player base engaged, particularly when it comes to legendary Pokémon, while also lengthening the entire launch process. Niantic is bound to have more plans close to Luminous Legends Y in the works for the remainder of the year and certainly beyond.

This year, not only is Pokémon GO marking its fifth anniversary, but the entire Pokémon franchise is also celebrating its 25th anniversary. Longtime fans have been anticipating a slew of releases for this year, and it appears that Niantic is doing its part to participate. Hopefully, the Luminous Legends Y event will be a huge hit with Pokémon GO players, keeping them interested for the rest of the year.
