Insomniac Games has released about seven minutes of new Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart gameplay, most of which features Rivet. The production team has teased the lady Lombax on several occasions in recent months; however, Rivet’s name and backstory were unveiled in a trailer released at the end of last month.
Rivet hails from another world, one where her opposition to Emperor Nefarious wins her scorn. The latest character also has a bionic arm, but the reason for this augmentation is unknown for the time being.
There are plenty of other details about Rivet that are still unknown, but details should emerge as the game progresses, particularly because she is a confirmed playable character. Fans would not, though, be left alone with a new hero. Clank will accompany rivet on her dimension-hopping adventure. Flames of the Nether, Howling Peaks, and Creeping Winter are only a few of the Minecraft Dungeons expansions that have been released in the last 12 months. Each one introduces a new biome, complete with new missions, weapons, and mobs to beat.
The Hero Pass and the Season Pass are also available for purchase, with the Hero Pass unlocking the Jungle Awakens and Creeping Winter DLCs and the Season Pass unlocking the Howling Peaks, Flames of the Nether, and Hidden Depths sets, as well as another DLC in the immediate future.
The base game has a two-part Caves and Cliffs upgrade over the remainder of 2021, but Minecraft Dungeons isn’t the only Minecraft project getting a major expansion. Several new features will be added to Minecraft, including new caves, bricks, and improved height and depth limits.
It appears to be a sizable chunk of content that will drastically alter the spelunking and mountaineering encounters in the game. Minecraft will also have an archaeology update, but it has been postponed until next year so Mojang can focus on it further.
