In March of last year, the Entertainment Software Association (ESA), which organizes E3, canceled E3 2020 due to worries regarding the coronavirus pandemic.

Ver 1.03, which is the latest patch for the game, was launched on PC, PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch.

For all four platforms, developer and publisher Koei Tecmo not only included bug fixes, but downloadable content as well. But as for the PS4 and PS5 specifically, cross-save support has now been enabled. This means that Atelier Ryza 2 players will be able to easily and seamlessly transfer their saved progress from the PS4 to the PS5. After transferring, they won’t have to worry about having to start from the very beginning and losing countless hours.

Not only that, players will also receive legacy costumes inspired by the first Atelier Ryza game. If you want to start the cross-saving process, you have to interact with Ryza’s desk, which can be found in her apartment. Then, you’ll find the options that allow you to either import or export save data from the PS4 or PS5.

To commemorate the launch of Episode 2: Act II, the famous competitive first-person shooter Valorant is launching a new hero and a new combat bass. Since its January debut, Episode 2: Act I of Valorant has been running for the past two months. According to recent news, it appears that a brand-new open-world game set in Dungeons & Dragons’ universe is in the making. Developer Hidden Path Entertainment recently tweeted that the studio was hiring talent in order to help develop the upcoming open-world game.

Even though Dungeons & Dragons has been around for quite a while now—more or less 50 years at this point—it was able to stay afloat despite the oversaturated market. Its success is unsurprising though, given how Wizards of the Coast continues to release updates and new editions of the game. Not only that, there’s also the highly popular streaming series known as Critical Role, which has greatly helped the game retain if not increase its popularity.

Seeing how Dungeons & Dragons is here to stay, other video game studios have decided to join the fray—like Larian Studios’ Baldur’s Gate 3, for example, which is set in Dungeons & Dragons’ Forgotten Realms campaign. According to the tweet, Hidden Path Entertainment is now looking to hire several developers with different areas of expertise. The tweet specifically states that the studio is working on “a AAA, third-person, open-world fantasy RPG that will be taking place inside the Dungeons & Dragons franchise.”

There are four different positions available, namely graphics programmer, lead graphics programmer, senior technical artist, and writer. Details are still scarce at this point, and we have yet to know which sourcebook planes Hidden Path will direct its focus on. On the career page of the developer’s official website, there are more details on each available position.

When browsing through the graphics programmer job description, it states there that the hired applicant will be making use of Unreal Engine 4 as well as the Niagara VFX System. On the other hand, the applicants for the writer position should be familiar with branching narratives and have “strong editing skills.”

The tabletop RPG is already the type of game wherein the choices players make matters, and so does character customization. As such, transferring this concept to an open-world game sounds like everything gamers could ever want.

The tides may be against Hidden Path Entertainment, seeing as it’s not a fairly well-known studio, and there are tons of open-world titles in the market right now. However, we’ll just have to wait and see how well they develop this upcoming game, and if it will be able to live up to its AAA expectations.
