Developer Toby Fox has been such a renowned name in the gaming community and industry for creating Undertale, a 2D RPG that gives you the option not to hurt anyone. Released in 2015, the title and its characters have been featured in so many other games since then, such as Sans being a Mii costume in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

In 2018, Toby Fox released the first chapter of Deltarune for free, which is Undertale’s sequel. Since then, fans have been waiting for an update regarding the upcoming game. That said, we may be hearing news about this highly-anticipated title soon, as Japanese magazine Famitsu will be celebrating Undertale’s 5th anniversary.

This issue of Famitsu will be available on September 10, and it’s said that part of its Undertale coverage will feature development updates as well as screenshots of Deltarune’s second chapter.

That being said, we still don’t know how heavy this coverage will be, or if it will contribute much to the entire Undertale feature as a whole. The cover for this Famitsu issue was drawn by Temmie Chang, who played a huge part in Undertale as well.

Chang was the creator of the very lovable race of monsters in the game called Temmies. Outside of Undertale and Deltarune, Chang has also released an RPG game entitled Dweller’s Empty Path.

Undertale was such a huge hit that the game had an estimated 3.5 million players on Steam alone back in 2018. The title can be described as an “anti-RPG” and Fox says that he took inspiration from classic games such as Moon.

We can definitely see how this can be called an “anti-RPG” though, as one of the title’s selling points is the fact that you have the choice to start and finish the game without having to hurt any of your enemies.

With Deltarune, Fox took many of the same elements from the first game as well as the lovable characters, although the time and setting are now completely different. Deltarune’s first chapter was definitely a wild yet nostalgic ride, and we’re so excited to see what Toby Fox has instore for this genuinely amazing franchise.

Deltarune Chapter 1 is currently available for free on the PC, Nintendo Switch, as well as the PlayStation 4.

A new trailer for Adios, a brand-new odd yet intriguing game, has been released by publisher and developer Mischief. It’s definitely not your average mob game, and that’s what makes it so interesting. As soon as we saw the final trailer, we knew that we would definitely give the game a shot.

Adios is a first-person game about a hitman who is facing a problem. The catch? You aren’t the hitman; instead, you are a pig farmer. You see, the mob that your hitman friend is with uses your pigs to get rid of bodies.

You, the pig farmer, have been assisting the mob this way for quite some time now. However, you have decided that you no longer want to be a part of this unpleasantness anymore. So, when your good hitman friend visits your farm with yet another dead body to dispose of, you finally muster the courage to tell them that you want out.

Of course, your hitman friend doesn’t want you to quit. He knows that in this line of business, there’s no such thing as quitting. As such, he decides to stick around the farm with you, helping you do the chores and such as he tries to make an effort to convince you to stay.

Now, how you respond from here on out greatly determines what happens to your character in the end. After all, the hitman will be forced to kill you if you quit, even if you ARE such good friends.

Personally, choosing to stay with the mob versus getting straight-up murdered by a friend seems like the better option. However, Adios is surely aiming to be a game that really makes you contemplate your decisions as well as consequences.

Adios doesn’t have a release date yet, and it’s Steam page simply says “Coming soon.”

New Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 DLC Supports Military Vets

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 has a new DLC called the Call of Duty Endowment (CODE) United Pack, which supports military veterans. This pack features a seven-item bundle for the Create-a-Skater mode, and all the proceeds will be used to help provide military veterans with jobs.

The DLC only costs $4.99 and with that amount, you can greatly support the Endowment’s mission while sporting your skater with custom tie-dyed gear by Ricardo Gonzalez aka It’s a Living.

What’s the Call of Duty Endowment?

The Call of Duty Endowment is a non-profit organization that was co-founded by Activision’s very own CEO, Bobby Kotick. The mission of this organization is to help vets find high-quality jobs. They do this by supporting groups that help these veterans prepare for the job market.

Not only that, they also help raise awareness about the fact that veterans bring value to the workplace. The Call of Duty Endowment has been such a huge help to military veterans; in fact, the organization has given high-quality careers to 66,000 veterans.

Support the Movement

As can be seen in the screenshots, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 United Pack features tie-dyed designs, however, you will also find military camo outfits included in the bundle. That said, here’s a look at everything you will find in the DLC:

As previously mentioned, all the net proceeds from the DLC will support military veterans. By buying the Call of Duty Endowment (CODE) United Pack, you will be helping the organization fund their mission of giving 100,000 veterans jobs by 2024.

Also, the bundle is only available for a limited time. More specifically, the ability to purchase the DLC ends on December 31, 2021 or once $500,000 USD is raised. That said, get it now while you can from the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, or Epic Games Store.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 is available on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC and was released to the gaming world on September 4. The Tony Hawk franchise is beloved by many, even Jack Black, who is now a playable character in the game, by the way.

RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Makes a Comeback with New Edition

RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 was released around 16 years ago, and now it’s back with a brand-new edition that will launch this month. Don’t get it wrong, though – just because it’s called RollerCoaster Tycoon 3: Complete Edition doesn’t mean it’s a remaster.

However, it does come with a couple of tweaks and enhancements that will definitely spruce up your gameplay. Not only that, but this will be the first time that the game will be up for sale since 2018.

You see, its developer Frontier and its publisher Atari don’t exactly have the best relationship. As a matter of fact, there have been lawsuits filed in relation to the title. After Frontier sued Atari for not paying enough of their royalties, RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 was removed from both GOG and Steam.

Now that this new edition is on its way, it’s safe to assume that Frontier was able to get back the rights of the game. However, we’re not quite sure why the original version of the game hasn’t returned yet.

We can see that the game is still available on Steam, but there’s no option to buy it. Also, Steam’s version still shows Atari as the publisher. We’re still waiting for more information from Frontier as to whether or not they’ll take back the original game.

That being said, RollerCoaster Tycoon 3: Complete Edition will have feature visual improvements, optimized controls, and widescreen support. Unfortunately, there won’t be 4K support.

Not only that, but this Complete Edition will feature the two expansions “Soaked!” and “Wild!” Overall, these the game along with its two expansions will provide you with 500 items related to scenery and 20 different kinds of animals. Not only that, but a total of 60 stores and 300 rides will be made available to you as well.

Madden NFL 21 Adds Colin Kaepernick as Free Agent

In case you didn’t know, NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick was notoriously known worldwide during the 2016 season for protesting police brutality by kneeling during the national anthem. Coincidentally – or not – he was made a free agent since then, too.

Madden NFL 21, and Electronic Arts in general, have been under heat due to several controversies surrounding the game. EA has been doing their best to give the fans what they want. Now, there have been changes made, but the fans’ responses have been mixed.

As of September 8, Colin Kaepernick was added back into the franchise as a free agent. In fact, he is the highest-rated free agent quarterback in Madden NFL 21. However, many believe that this was only done to gain the fans’ favor.

Here’s the thing: EA once removed Kaepernick from Madden NFL 19 and even went so far as to censor his name out of a song in the OST simply because of the controversies and drama caused by the quarterback in 2016.

As for his skills, EA boosted Kaepernick from 74 overall in Madden NFL 17 to 81 overall in Madden NFL 21. Now, a lot of people found an issue with this too, as they think that EA is completely overestimating his skills.

However, EA explains in a blog post their reasoning for this adjustment:

Madden NFL 21 will also have a new mode called The Yard, which is a backyard football-inspired mode. This mode gives you the opportunity for self-expression via Create-a-player (CAP). To celebrate the return of Kaepernick, the “Nike Kaepernick Icon Jersey 2.0” will be made free for everyone.

That being said, some fans are not happy with how the decision to bring back Kaepernick was made. After all, EA still hasn’t properly addressed the fact that they removed the quarterback from the franchise. There is also speculation that EA simply did this as a political move to raise the game’s popularity, as it has been receiving low ratings on Metacritic.

While some fans did commend EA for this decision, the Madden NFL franchise still has a long way to go before it recovers the acclaim and respect it once had.

Madden NFL 21 is currently available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

Everything you need to know about Pokemon Go Battle League Season 4 and Halloween Cup

The Pokemon Go Halloween Cup is a new tournament for the games Battle League Season 4. The new season will start on September 15 and will run until November 9, 2020.

Similar to the previous seasons, Season 4 will be split into various segments, each featuring a unique league. The timeline for season 4 looks like this:

    • Great League – September 14 to September 28
    • Ultra League/Ultra League Premier Cup(2,500 CP limit) – September 28 to October 12
    • Master League/Master League Premier Cup(no limit) – October 12 to October 26
    • Halloween Cup – October 26 to November 3
    • All Leagues/All Leagues Premier Cup(no limit) – November 3 to November 9

The Halloween Cup will be a unique tournament that will only allow Fairy, Dark, Bug, Ghost, Poison-type Pokemon to participate and will have a 1,500 CP limit. Players who will participate in the Halloween Cup will have the chance to encounter the three Kanto starter Pokemon wearing Halloween costumes.

Most Go Battle League rewards and features will be similar to the previous ones for Season 4 but there are also several adjustments coming to the new season. Players will now be able to reach Rank 2 in Season 4 by taking on several battles then reach Rank 3 to 9 by winning battles. To achieve a Rank 10, players will need to have a rating of 3,000.

Finishing the new season with a rank of 7 or higher will earn players an Elite Fast TM which can be claimed during the end of the season instead of the Elite Charged TM.

There will also be a new special event called Go Battle Night which will run on September 24 from 6 PM to 11:59 PM only. During these times, players will be able to join the Flying Cup which only allows Flying Pokemon to participate and will have a 1,500 CP limit.

Players will have to finish 20 sets of Go Battle League Battles during Go Battle Night. During the event, players will receive 2x Stardust upon winning battles, completing a set of battles, or while ranking up.

Finally, evolving Pidgeotto into Pidgeot during the event will let it learn the Flying move, Gust.

‘Zelda BOTW’ prequel ‘Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity’ Switch exclusive coming this November

Nintendo has revealed the new game Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity which is releasing exclusively for the Nintendo Switch this November 20.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is set a hundred years before the aftermath of Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Nintendo added that the game will take players to the time before the Great Calamity occurred where they will be joining massive battles set in familiar areas in Hyrule before they were ruined.

The Japanese gaming giant also revealed that the game will feature fast-paced action-filled gameplay focused on completing combos, casting spells, solving puzzles, crafting materials, unlocking weapons, and skills.

The game will feature familiar characters from the Legend of Zelda games including Zelda and Link. For the first time ever, the four champions from Breath of the Wild will also be playable characters in the game.

In a video posted last Tuesday, Koei Tecmo producer Yosuke Hayashi revealed that the company has been working closely with Nintendo on this game compared to it had done previously.

Speaking in the same announcement video for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, Eiji Aonuma – the series producer for Legend of Zelda – told fans that they will have to wait longer for new updates about The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2.

 

‘Ninja Gaiden Trilogy’ reportedly coming to the Switch and PlayStation 4

Fans may not have received a new Ninja Game for the current-gen consoles but a remaster for the trilogy is reportedly on its way to the Switch and PlayStation 4.

Game Source Entertainment, a huge video game distributor based in Hong Kong, recently uploaded a new listing for Ninja Gaiden Trilogy on their website. The details posted revealed that the game will be available on both the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4.

Both listings have been removed. Luckily Reddit fans took quick action and posted it on the website. Aside from this, the cached version is still available via the Switch page.

The leaked Ninja Gaiden Trilogy allegedly includes Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, and Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge. Based on the listing, the compilation is set for a March 2021 release. However, it is unsure if this will be a remaster or a re-release.

It is also uncertain whether the trilogy will come to the other consoles. In a few cases, regional distributors still release versions to regions that they know will buy the games even if other editions on rival platforms already exist.

Regardless, the Tokyo Game Show is coming up in a few weeks where publisher Koei Tecmo is expected to reveal the Ninja Gaiden Trilogy.

‘Minecraft PSVR’ release date coming this year – Mojang Studios

Yesterday, a PlayStation blog was posted announcing that Minecraft is officially coming to the PSVR with full support coming later this month. This finally fulfills one of the most requested features of the game from a certain Minecraft fan base of the PlayStation 4.

Minecraft has already been integrated on other consoles but teaming up with PSVR has been a continuous point of interest for players who have been playing the technology and felt that they would be suitable for each other.

While the PSVR isn’t much of an asset in the PlayStation 4 community, it is still comparatively a newer tech when matched to the current console gaming. This means the gadget holds a lot of promise if ever a developer manages to figure out its best use.

As of writing, it has been games such as Beat Saber that is fueling the flame for VR games. However, with the confirmation that PlayStation 5 will support PSVR, Sony definitely has plans in making this technology better and more appealing to the public.

Titles like Minecraft, which remains popular, even after years since its launch, looks like it’s perfect for the VR and could possibly, be how it enters mainstream usage in the near future. For now, the game is expected to give a good boost to the PSVR’s appeal.

Based on the PlayStation blog released earlier today, Minecraft’s developers – Mojang Studios – announced that Minecraft will have full PSVR support launched for the game later in September, but no exact release date was stated.

Based on the post, Minecraft’s PSVR version will give players the same original experience from playing the original game and nothing was altered or removed. This will be a huge selling point for Minecraft fans since they won’t have to worry anything about adapting to the new technology.

The announcement also revealed that Minecraft’s PSVR edition was in development for quite some time. In addition, players will still use the DualShock 4 controller to traverse the game while being engrossed in another world via the PlayStation 4 VR headset.

While the announcement has admitted that the coronavirus pandemic has affected the development of Minecraft as a whole, it took a lot of work before they could say that Minecraft VR was running smoothly.

When Minecraft does something, the whole video game community pays attention. Whether this is enough to get them to try the new Minecraft PSVR remains to be seen. However, more methods to play one of the best games to ever be released will never be a bad thing.

Fan suggestions to be integrated with the upcoming Left 4 Dead 2 update

A new Left 4 Dead 2 teaser trailer has just been released from its developers since The Last Stand, a community-made update is now nearing its unidentified but “coming soon” launch date. The last main official update for Left for Dead 2 was years ago and while the game has consistently received minimal care through minor updates to address glitches and bugs, fans of the series are still desperate for additional content, or if no updates are in the works, at least an assurance to Left 4 Dead 3.

Since Left 4 Dead 2 is a Valve game, fans have adjusted themselves to the truth that they may never get another installment of the game despite Left for Dead’s mind-boggling popularity. Thanks to its passionate fans, Left 4 Dead 2 is still alive and now the 2009 game is the first major official update in years.

The update is regarded as “official” since Valve signed off on the patch and has full support in its creation. However, it is worth noting that the Left 4 Dead The Last Stand update is being developed by a community-made team. Valve only agreed to fan-made updates and launches, similar to the Left 4 Dead 2: Cold Stream update that was released in 2012.

This new Left 3 Dead 2 patch has been receiving a lot of attention lately after its teaser trailer featured amazing aesthetics and polish. In the new YouTube video released by developer JAiZ, the future update unveils a familiar face in the likes of Bill Overbeck who is surrounded by zombie corpses along with his trademark cigarette still in his mouth and a bloody ax in his hand. The update has fascinated a lot of fans because of the trailer’s amazing presentation, though it is still unclear how the gameplay will feel and look.

JAiZ also promised to integrate fan suggestions based on the comment section of the new Left 4 Dead teaser. In the update, JAiX announced that The Last Stand will feature a new campaign developed by a team that has previously worked on popular games like Dark Carnival: Remix.

If The Last Stand update brings more than this exciting new campaign, it could reinvigorate this forgotten classic game that most newcomers haven’t heard of yet. If this update will become successful, it could finally convince Valve to create Left 4 Dead 3.
