Death Stranding Director’s Cut Horrifying Silent Hill Easter Egg Discovered

0
maxresdefault-2021-09-28t113848-901

Players of the recently released Death Stranding Director’s Cut have uncovered an Easter egg that refers to P.T, the Silent Hills game’s aborted demo. The star-studded Kojima Productions blockbuster Death Stranding Director’s Cut is an enhanced version of the 2019 original release, with extra features, objectives, and gameplay choices.

Before producing Death Stranding, renowned game creator Hideo Kojima was supposed to direct a reboot of Silent Hill’s iconic survival horror series, but Konami shelved the project. Silent Hills would have starred Norman Reedus of The Walking Dead and Guillermo Del Toro.

The 2014 horror project was launched with a playable demo called “P.T,” however the demo was removed from the PlayStation Store when the game was cancelled, making it nearly hard for gamers to get. Due to the demo’s originality and effect on video game horror, several parts of P.T have been replicated in other major titles, notably Watch Dogs: Legion.

Suzi Hunter, a Twitter user, posted a screenshot of the P.T. and Silent Hills Easter eggs in the new Death Stranding Director’s Cut. Hunter’s picture, which can be seen in the safe room’s shower, depicts the shape of a lady cloaked in darkness, as a homage to Lisa, the ghost-like opponent from the Silent Hills demo.

While the Death Stranding “ghost” does not appear to be an identical duplicate of Lisa, it does appear to be an obvious allusion to the canceled game and its playable teaser. According to many users, the lady does not present in the standard version of Death Stranding, and her appearance in the shower appears to have no impact on the new release’s added material.

The picture of P.T’s Lisa has made a sensation on Twitter, but this isn’t the first time the character has appeared in a Kojima game that isn’t P.T. Lisa also appears in another Kojima game, Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, from 2015. Snake can utilize the character model as a decoy. However, the MGS 5 Lisa is similar to the one shown in P.T, rather than merely the outline seen in the new Death Stranding.

While the P.T allusion in Death Stranding Director’s Cut is a lovely homage to horror aficionados, it’s doubtful that the Easter egg is much more than a throwback to a previous Kojima effort. The Silent Hills IP remains with Konami after the two parted ways on sour terms, while Kojima established his own business, Kojima Productions.

Fans of the Silent Hill series hoping for a new game may be in luck, as Bloober Team, the studio behind The Medium and Layers of Fear, is working on a new Silent Hill resurrection, but this is said to be working on a new Silent Hill resurrection has yet to be confirmed.

PS5 Exclusive Marvel Multiplayer Game Reportedly In The Works

According to industry insider and XboxEra co-host Nick Baker, a new multiplayer game starring Marvel characters is in the works as a possible PS5 exclusive. It’s hardly unexpected that Sony and Marvel are working on another PlayStation exclusive, especially considering the success of Marvel’s Spider-Man and Spider-Man: Miles Morales, the latter of which sold 20 million copies on PS4.

The gaming cooperation between Sony and Marvel continues to grow, as demonstrated by the latest PlayStation Showcase, which revealed two new titles from the continuing collaboration. Thanks to an action-packed teaser starring Peter Parker and Miles Morales, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 dominated the show for a few minutes.

spiderman-logo-2020-1568x882-9225817

Much of the post-reveal attention focused on Venom’s appearance at the conclusion of the teaser, as well as fan theories positing Kraven the Hunter as the video’s narrator. Of course, the news that Insomniac is also working on a Wolverine game is still making the rounds.

Nick Baker, a reputable industry insider and co-host of the XboxEra Podcast has revealed further information on a prospective PlayStation 5 project. The insider claimed to have heard from a trustworthy source that “there is a multiplayer Marvel game supposedly in the works that will most likely be a PS5 exclusive” on Episode 76 of the podcast.

Baker stated his source requested that he provide basic facts to prevent any potential backlash, despite the fact that he had meant to provide more background. Baker’s additional statements suggest that neither he nor the source are certain which of PlayStation’s development teams is working on the rumored multiplayer game.

Although this story may not appear to be too far-fetched, it’s advisable to take everything above with a grain of salt. If such a project does exist, it’s impossible to say when Sony and Marvel will provide precise details.

The most fascinating element of this story is the alleged multiplayer component. PlayStation exclusives, as many people are aware, primarily include third-person, narrative-driven adventures. Sony, on the other hand, appears eager to focus more of its efforts on multiplayer experiences, given its partnership with IllFonic, the developer of Predator: Hunting Grounds, and its numerous agreements with third-party developers, such as Firewalk Studios, who plan to create experiences tailored specifically for online play.

Disney Magical World 2 Enchanted Edition Arriving To The Nintendo Switch Later This Year

Since its inception, Disney has been a mainstay of the video game business, with the media conglomerate utilizing its vast library of brands to produce a diverse range of games. Disney has its hands on some of the most successful gaming titles between its brands and partnerships like Square-renowned Enix’s Kingdom Hearts trilogy. Disney’s diverse array of iconic characters has spawned a slew of interesting games over the years, and one of their most recent releases will be updated later this year.

Disney Magical World 2 was initially published on the Nintendo 3DS in October of 2016. Bandai Namco’s life simulation game allows users to engage with and play mini-games with renowned Disney characters. In the game’s original release, players may explore worlds from iconic Disney titles, including The Little Mermaid, Peter Pan, and Frozen, among others. Nintendo officially confirmed that the game would be getting an upgraded edition for the Nintendo Switch at a recent Nintendo Direct.

During Thursday’s Nintendo Direct, Bandai Namco and Nintendo formally confirmed that Disney Magical World 2: Enhanced Edition will be arriving to the Switch later this year. Several distinct worlds based on iconic Disney brands like Lilo & Stitch and Beauty and the Beast were seen in the teaser.

Players will be able to personalize their clothes, with many of them based on the game’s brands, as well as create their in-game homes. The clip also revealed that the Enchanted Edition would include every DLC released for the original game.

Disney properties have long been a gaming staple, with iconic titles like Aladdin and The Lion King on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) among the console’s most successful titles. In the case of Kingdom Hearts III, the business generally licenses out their franchises for usage by other developers. Disney’s purchase of large media conglomerates such as LucasArts and Marvel has given the company access to even more renowned gaming brands.

In recent years, Disney has expanded its activities into numerous new outlets in order to promote its renowned brands. Marvel continued to dominate the box office with popular films like Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and Black Widow. At the same time, Disney+, the corporation’s dedicated streaming service, was a significant success for the firm.

The range of material available under the Disney banner appears to be growing by the year. Still, titles like Disney Magical World 2 demonstrate that the business remains committed to its cartoon heritage.

Overwatch 2 Details Sombra Revamp

In the midst of the ongoing litigation against Activision Blizzard for gender discrimination, as well as other events, Overwatch 2’s production has fallen into the background. That isn’t to say that development on Overwatch 2 has come to a halt.

Blizzard’s crew is still hard at work on the online multiplayer shooter, and they’re probably itching to tell fans more. Today, it’s been confirmed, with plans for Sombra’s overhaul in Overwatch 2 being revealed.

“Boop! All-new ability upgrades for Sombra in Overwatch 2,” Blizzard tweeted. The article includes a chart that breaks out all of Sombra’s attacks and abilities, highlighting what hasn’t changed, tweaked, and is completely new. While Sombra isn’t totally reimagined, Overwatch players will agree that she’ll play in Overwatch 2 in a very different way.

sombra-ow2-4114008

To begin, Sombra’s passive ability Opportunist has been dramatically improved. Sombra can currently identify opponents with less than 50% health, even through barriers, thanks to Opportunist. Sombra’s passive now has an offensive component, giving her a highly hazardous 50% damage bonus to hacked targets. The Machine Pistol basic assault of Sombra, on the other hand, has been side-graded. The damage has been lowered from 8 to 7, while the spread of bullets has been reduced by 20%.

When it comes to Sombra’s skills, Translocate hasn’t been modified, thus her mobility in Overwatch and Overwatch 2 is the same. Stealth has undergone some interesting modifications. The detection radius was extended from 2 to 4 meters, and the fade-in duration was halved.

Hack, on the other hand, no longer disables Stealth, however it does temporarily reveal Sombra. Hack has been changed in a similar way, but for a different reason. It now has a 3-second cooldown and an 8-second duration.

However, instead of locking abilities for five seconds, it only locks them for one second, and it also shows opponents to the player’s whole squad. Hack, when combined with Sombra’s Opportunist extra damage, turns a player into a huge target.

Finally, Sombra has the EMP Ultimate ability. To begin, EMP no longer deals “extra” shield-specific damage, implying that the entire 10,000 damage is replaced. On the other hand, Sombra’s Ultimate will deal 40% of an enemy’s current HP. That implies that even if adversaries have no shields or armor or have low or full health, EMP will have a beneficial effect — even if it won’t kill them.

To say the least, Sombra’s gameplay in Overwatch 2 will be drastically altered. The most significant shift is linked to Hack and her passive partner, Opportunist. Sombra’s strength will be creeping up on opponents, hacking them, and inflicting 50% more damage while remaining undetected.

Her capacity to instigate large-scale team fights has been reduced in favor of tactically interrupting opponents at critical periods and doing independent damage. To say the least, Overwatch 2 will be a major meta change.

Mamoswine Joining Pokemon Unite In Upcoming Update

Mamoswine will be introduced to Pokemon Unite’s ever-expanding roster of Pokemon in the game’s next update, according to developer TiMi Studios. It will also feature at least one bug patch, as well as some minor balancing adjustments.

Mamoswine, as well as the popular Pokemon Sylveon, were revealed for the online game in August. However, no date has been set for the inclusion of the Fairy-type Eevee evolution. Mamoswine’s debut is significant for any Pokemon Unite player because adding characters to any MOBA may affect team lineups and meta tactics.

bb411-16324409939533-800-1142898

This Wednesday, September 29, Mamoswine will be introduced to Pokemon Unite. Mamoswine is not a free Pokemon Unite License and will have to be acquired from the Unite Battle Committee in-game market, as with every new addition to the online game. Licenses range in price from 6,000 to 10,000 Aeos Coins or 345 to 575 Aeos Gems. Mamoswine, like other new Pokemon, is expected to be part of a weekly rotation of Licenses that players may test out in Standard and Quick matches.

The Crustle Unite Move problem will be rectified with the Mamoswine update, according to the official Pokemon Unite Twitter account, but no word on whether the new Lucario fault that significantly hurts Ranked battles will be addressed.

While it’s expected to get one this Wednesday, the game just had a major balance adjustment in its last update, which was less than a week ago. There aren’t expected to be any major alterations, but the introduction of Mamsowine might significantly alter existing strategies.

While it’s wonderful to see another character, many gamers ad hoped to see Sylveon before Mamoswine. The Fairy-type Pokemon is far more popular than Mamoswine as an Eevee evolution. Hopefully, the creators will not make fans wait as long as Blastoise fans did. Before Pokemon Unite’s debut in July, the popular Gen 1 starter was touted as supplementary material, but it wasn’t included until September.

Most Unite players are drawn to characters based on their movesets, so if Mamoswine proves to be a valuable member of any Unite squad or plays in a very intriguing way, his reputation among Pokemon fans may grow.

Nintendo 64 Switch Controller Will Have Additional Buttons

0
maxresdefault-2021-09-27t112029-619

The contentious Nintendo 64 controller is making a comeback with Nintendo Switch Online’s recent updates, but some observant fans have discovered that the rebuilt controller isn’t 100% faithful to the original. The modifications are small, but they will significantly impact the controller’s functionality on the Nintendo Switch system.

During the most recent Nintendo Direct, an extension to Nintendo Switch Online’s vintage game library was revealed, bringing titles from the Nintendo 64 and SEGA Genesis to the platform. The news was accompanied by the unveiling of contemporary reproductions of the original controllers.

nintendo-reveals-nintendo-64-and-sega-genesis-controllers-for-switch-online_feature-4435582

The redesigned Nintendo 64 controller keeps the original appearance while adding functionality seen on more current controllers, such as wireless connection. The extra buttons appear to be at the top of the controller and provide access to the Switch’s Home menu, screenshots, synchronization with the console, and, perplexingly, the ZR button seen on contemporary Nintendo controllers. It appears to charge through USB-C as well.

Unlike the rival PlayStation controller, the Nintendo 64 gamepad was built in such a manner that the way the user held it had an influence on which buttons could be utilized. The D-pad and L buttons may be accessed by holding them by the left prong, while the center prong can access the analog stick and Z buttons.

Nintendo is no stranger to removing conventional buttons and experimenting with controller layouts; the original GameCube controller featured the B, X, and Y buttons circling a huge A button with only one Z button.

The Wii controller included a modular attachment mechanism that allowed for a variety of setups, and the Wii U’s primary controller had a complete touchscreen. The addition of the ZR button, especially at such a difficult-to-reach place, is a perplexing move, given it is rarely used. One probable rationale for its presence is to allow as many Nintendo Switch games to be played with the controller as possible, even if the button’s position isn’t optimal.

While the Nintendo 64 controller has its detractors, Nintendo’s decision to bring it back, especially with the limited number of titles available, is brave and will provide a more realistic player experience. The Nintendo 64 controller, like the official Switch NES and SNES controllers, will be optional for playing the games, so those who prefer a more contemporary control method may skip it.

Fortnite Celebrating Fourth Anniversary With Exclusive Event

Fortnite’s fourth birthday is being celebrated in true Fortnite style, which includes cosmetics, bright colors, a merch drop, and plenty of virtual dancing. The event is now live, and it comes with a range of tasks and awards, some of which give players a good reason to throw things.

Players must toss four Birthday Presents and dance in front of four Cakes as part of the Fortnite Birthday Quests. Gamers must also devour Birthday Cake during various matches and collect resources from balloon decorations 50 times in total.

Because there’s a Cake for almost every listed site of interest on the map, finding the huge Cakes that players are intended to dance in front of will entail visiting places of interest all over the map. However, rather than actively seeking out the small cubes, it may be better for players to play the game as usual and let Birthday Presents find them.

As part of the Fortnite 2021 birthday celebration, players who perform well will get Gold Bars and three distinct cosmetics. The 4 Me??? Back Bling, the Hooplah Hammer Pickaxe, and the 4? Score Emoticon are the cosmetics in dispute.

Before the event concludes on September 28 at 2 a.m. ET, players have four days to complete the tasks and collect the rewards. A new Venom skin, a collaboration with luxury fashion house Balenciaga, and Season 8 dubbed the Cubed event are new additions to Fortnite.

It might be claimed that the fact that so many events are taking place at the same time is due to Fortnite’s birthday celebrations. According to at least one reliable leaker, developers are working on another surprise for Fortnite gamers: a sliding mobility mechanism that might revolutionize how the game is played.

Fortnite gamers appear to be happy with Fortnite’s fourth birthday celebration. However, some players have mentioned prior skins and cosmetics that they’d want to see reintroduced as part of the celebration. In contrast, others have taken to Twitter to vent their dissatisfaction with the Birthday Quests.

Even though only one of those characters is currently integrated in Fortnite, one fan chose to commemorate the big day with a cake that depicts both Venom and Spider-Man.

https://twitter.com/FortniteGame/status/1441386939148611584?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1441387345987743744%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es2_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fgamerant.com%2Ffortnite-birthday-anniversary-event%2F

The cake did not include Carnage, who had previously appeared in Fortnite.

Ghost of Tsushima Legends Bringing New Survival Maps

maxresdefault-99

Sucker Punch has been constantly delivering incremental upgrades for the multiplayer mode, improving it and adding cosmetics, since the debut of Ghost of Tsushima: Legends. Rivals, a brand-new game mode that pits players against one another, was recently introduced. Meanwhile, Survival enthusiasts awaited more significant changes.

However, not long after Rivals was released, it was revealed that Survival will be getting some attention as well. The inclusion of two new maps, one of which has already been released, was revealed as part of the new content coming to Survival Mode.

Story and Survival Game are both included in Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, a separate cooperative multiplayer mode for Ghost of Tsushima. Prior to the latest update, Survival Mode only contained four maps, the same four that were launched alongside the multiplayer mode on October 21st, 2020, causing many players to relive the same content in search of fresh items. As a result, Legends fans were understandably concerned about fresh material.

ghost-of-tsushima-legends-1-1-1296511

Thankfully, the solution is now and coming soon, with the announcement of two new Survival Mode maps, Twilight and Ashes and Blood and Steel. Twilight and Ashes is now playable, while Blood and Steel, a map based on Iki Island, will be available a week later on October 1st, 2022.

For gamers who possess Ghost of Tsushima or Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, both maps are accessible for free. To play the Iki Island-inspired map Blood and Steel, players do not need to own the Director’s Cut of the game.

Up to four players combat waves of monsters who threaten to destroy distinct sections of a location in Survival Mode. The addition of two new maps so close together bodes well for the game mode, as it is likely to entice returning players who may have been dissatisfied with the original four maps due to their repetitive nature. Although nothing is known about Blood and Steel, Twilight and Ashes has already been revealed and appears to be a fantastic map for Hunters owing to the numerous view spots.

https://twitter.com/SuckerPunchProd/status/1441430676650164225?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1441430676650164225%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fgamerant.com%2Fghost-of-tsushima-legends-new-survival-maps%2F

It’s great to learn that there will be two new Survival maps. Until recently, Ghost of Tsushima: Legends didn’t receive many significant upgrades. After all, it was a free expansion to Ghost of Tsushima with no microtransactions. Sucker Punch appears to be considering incorporating more frequent updates now that Ghost of Tsushima: Legends may be purchased separately.

Still, given that these two maps took over a year to make, it’s logical to assume that additional maps following the release of Blood and Steel will take even longer, if we get any more maps at all. If that’s not enough, Legends now adds Rivals Mode, which is expected to receive upgrades in the future owing to its recent debut.

Call of Duty Warzone Players Demanding New Looting Feature

0

Fans of Call of Duty: Warzone always suggests ways to enhance the game, which is unlikely to change anytime soon. The newest idea sees Call of Duty: Warzone fans requesting a modest change to the game’s loot system from Raven.

Call of Duty: Warzone feature requests have been highly popular in recent months. The anti-cheat system is an excellent example of this; until it was finally unveiled, the community requested more robust software to tackle cheaters. On a lesser scale, players have been pleading for the Iron Trials ‘84 playlist to be made permanent, with Raven recently confirming that Iron Trials will be coming to custom games.

call-of-duty-warzone-players-have-discovered-a-game-breaking-glitch-image-source-in-game-screenshot_2419515-2663599

With the success of fan requests so far, it’s possible that the next feature requested by Call of Duty: Warzone gamers may become a reality. The debate was initiated by Reddit user samuryon, who suggested a feature in which the game would inform players what attachments are on a particular weapon. Because most players have a solid knowledge of which attachments are ideal, this would quickly tell players whether an opponent loadout or blueprint weapon is worth utilizing in a match in-game.

This functionality, though, would be helpful to the outside of the game. It may be especially useful when gamers are creating their own Call of Duty: Warzone loadouts. Usually, when players take up a fantastic weapon from a dead person or a container, they have no way of knowing what attachments were utilized to make it so powerful. This is inconvenient since they won’t be able to recreate the weapon after the match is over. This feature would modify that, allowing them to keep track of the ground loot’s attachments.

This would be extremely similar to a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare feature, as Reddit user Rrrrrrromance noted in the comments. The field improvement Weapon Drop in the 2019 game lets players add more attachments to their weapons.

Weapon inspect should tell you the attachments. from CODWarzone

It also displayed the names of the accessories they were using and attaching, allowing them to see how their rifle was configured. The Redditor then suggests that the coders duplicate this code, which may be a decent place to start while not straightforward.

With so many good comments and upvotes on the post, it’s apparent that many people want to see this function introduced in the future. As a result, Raven Software should keep this request in mind since they work on future upgrades to the game, as it may make class development a lot easier.

Chilling New Dead By Daylight Trailer Reveals Upcoming New Content

0
dead-by-daylight-the-trapper-1256163

With a re-enabled skill-based matching system in place with its newest chapter release, starring Hellraiser’s Pinhead, Dead by Daylight has a lot on its plate. However, as one might expect from Dead by Daylight, new material is being released on a regular basis.

The new grade system in Dead by Daylight replaces the previous rank system and resets each month to the lowest grade, Ash, with a supply of Bloodpoints granted for how far players progressed in grade palettes over the month. Furthermore, while Pinhead was just released a month ago in Dead by Daylight, future events may hasten the game’s next new update.

Dead by Daylight released a new teaser today that is only labeled with a memorable quote: “Double, double, toil and difficulty…” This remark appears in a number of media references, many of which have something to do with witches or witchcraft in general, such as Shakespeare’s Macbeth.

leatherface-dead-by-daylight-1419047

As a result, Dead by Daylight’s recent content tease clearly implies that a female survivor character with a distinct witchcraft style will be added to the game shortly. This teaser has few major hints to aid in comprehending its mysterious nature.

The teaser itself looks to be a first-person view of the new figure, who gasps and shudders uncomfortably behind drawn curtains. These dark crimson curtains have a pattern of little symbols for a witch or wizard’s cap, skulls, and other hidden motifs on them. Before the curtains are opened, roaring applause can be heard from the opposite side, and the teaser abruptly stops there, leaving players in anticipation.

The Dead by Daylight fandom has honed its skills at predicting which characters and stuff will emerge based on apparently trivial clues presented in these teases. Butler proposes that the next female survivor may simply be “a female actress who wears witch themed cosmetics,” rather than being a witch herself. According to some theories, the surviving persona may possibly be a skilled magician.

Regardless, all of these evidence leads to their being a new, unique character. There may be red herrings to consider, like with Behaviour Interactive’s earlier teaser excerpts, and it may not be fully apparent who this individual is until more is publicly disclosed.

In reality, October is only a few weeks away. Because Halloween is approaching quickly, the witch or witchcraft motif inferred from this tease might be timed to coincide with the macabre holiday’s celebrations. By revealing the teaser now, the surprise may be postponed until October, and the possibility of a witch-themed female survivor may pique gamers’ interest as Halloween approaches.
