Resident Evil 4 For Oculus VR Reportedly In Production

It’s a pretty amazing feeling to be a Resident Evil now. While the Resident Evil 3 remake released earlier this year is still fresh in the minds of players, the future pledges a new game in the form of Resident Evil Village on the next-gen consoles. However, a new rumor emerges that a fan-favorite entry in the franchise is coming to a virtual reality platform for the first time ever.

Resident Evil 4 assisted in propelling the long-running franchise to even more popularity, shifting to a more action-oriented and over the shoulder playstyle than the more classic survival horror games that came before it. While players are presently waiting for updates about a possible Resident Evil 4 remake following RE 2 and RE 3’s footsteps, there is no proof of a virtual reality edition as well.

Recently, Capcom underwent a major leak, with hackers getting data from the Japanese gaming giant’s company email and internal file servers. Some of these details were later released on the World Wide Web and has been feasted over by Capcom fans and dataminers since then. One particular data that emerged today reveals that a certain Resident Evil 4 VR is supposedly in development, exclusively for Oculus headset owners.

Sadly, there’s little information to go beyond this. The released chart features Resident Evil Village and the supposed Resident Evil 4 VR game both scheduled for a 2021 release, with Resident Evil 4 apparently slated for April 2021.

However, since this leak hasn’t been verified by Capcom yet, there’s no way to know for sure if Resident Evil 4 VR will be released next year or if it really does exist. Possibly the best thing lending suspicion to this is the fact that a VR take of Resident Evil 4 will be released early next year.

While it would hypothetically be feasible for a port of the existing Resident Evil 4 to arrive to the Oculus in a timely manner, it seems much more logical that if a Resident Evil 4 remake is in development that it would be the edition coming to VR. Since the game hasn’t even been officially revealed by Capcom, it may leave some fans doubting these claims.

Obviously, it’s worth noting that it wouldn’t be the first time that the developer has launched more than one major Resident Evil game in the same year. A port or remake on top of the main franchise release is still possible.

Regardless, if the leak turns out to be valid, it will be an exciting turn of events that Capcom has opted to work exclusively with Oculus, instead of PSVR, which Resident Evil 7 launched on. However, the appeal of the Oculus Quest 2’s wired and wireless features may have been sufficient to seal the deal.

Developed by Young Horses, the ones who created Octodad, Bugsnax is currently available for free for those PS5 users who have a PS Plus membership.

The game is vibrant and unique and appears to be a hit among families. However, have you ever wondered, out of curiosity, how these Bugsnax would taste like? Well, here’s your chance to find out.

Created by Victoria Rosenthal, Pixelated Provisions is a website that’s committed to recreating all kinds of food found in video games. Her content has been a huge hit in the gaming community, so much so that she has even published a couple of cookbooks with recipes that are inspired by video game food, including Fallout and Destiny.

Now, it appears that Rosenthal’s latest project for Pixelated Provisions has to do with turning Bugsnax into real-world food that fans can munch on. At the moment, Rosenthal has already published a few Bugsnax recipes on her website, including Cinnasnail, Flapjackarak, and Strabby.

That being said, the cookbook author has admitted that she hasn’t played the game yet, but she does have plans on doing so. As such, players can expect more Bugsnax recipes on her website in the near future.

As for the game itself, it appears that Bugsnax has been pretty well-received so far. Basing on the trailers alone, it’s no lie that the game seems somewhat strange. However, both players and critics appreciate the game for being able to find a good balance between mature and family-friendly content.

Even though the game is understandably much shorter than other PS5 launch titles, such as Demon’s Souls, for example, fans still like it for its interesting roster of characters and charming humor.

Given this fact, it doesn’t come as a surprise that some players have claimed that Bugsnax is one of the best PS5 launch games and that’s really saying something. Even though there aren’t a lot of new PS5 exclusive titles, there’s still a bunch of iconic games on the list.

For instance, one of the games included in this solid library is Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which is the highly-awaited sequel to Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man on PS4. The breathtaking Demon’s Souls remake by Bluepoint is also a part of the list, which is another game worth checking out.

Without a doubt, there are so many gamers right now who are clamoring to get their hands on a PlayStation 5. Perhaps they’re even excited to try out Bugsnax for themselves or for their kid’s entertainment. However, it appears that the demand for the console is higher than the available supply.

Deathloop Confirmed To Release On Steam

Last week, it was confirmed that Deathloop was going to be released next year on May 21. This first-person shooter with an innovative storyline has attracted a decent amount of gamers because so far, the game has shown a lot of potential.

As such, it was great to finally get an official release date from publisher Bethesda. We were already aware that Deathloop was going to get a PC release, however, we just weren’t sure if it was going to be available on Steam’s digital storefront.

That being said, it appears that our question has been answered because Steam currently has a store page for the upcoming game and you can even add it to your wishlist or pre-purchase the game from there.

The store page also features a pretty thorough description of Deathloop as well as gameplay trailers to give potential players an idea about the game and what they can expect.

Steam is an extremely popular digital storefront for video games, and countless gamers turn to the platform if they want to purchase games. As such, we can imagine that those who have been hoping to check out Deathloop and its time loop mechanics are thrilled by this news.

Deathloop’s main protagonist is named Colt, and he has to eliminate all the other assassins. If you haven’t checked out the trailers for the game, Deathloop can only be won if or when players kill all the other targets within a certain period of time.

As such, players really have to strategize and find a way to eliminate the other assassins, who are situated in different areas of the map, as fast as possible. If all targets aren’t killed within the time limit, the time loop activates and players will have to do everything again from the very beginning.

Understandably, having to constantly repeat everything from the start can become frustrating after a while. However, you can also take your failure as a chance to learn more and more about the targets in question, such as their weaknesses and strengths.

Even the main character Colt has a few special powers up his sleeve, which will surely help him on his quest to get rid of the other assassins. Now, Deathloop has a very interesting mechanic in the form of Julianna, an assassin who is tasked to stop Colt from successfully killing off everyone.

This is where Deathloop’s online multiplayer enters the fray. Through online multiplayer, another player can take the role of Julianna and try to stop the other player who is controlling Colt.

We’re impressed with Deathloop’s shooting and combat mechanics based on what we can see from the trailers so far. However, it’s way too early to say anything conclusive about the game, so we’ll just have to wait and see how good the game actually plays once it’s released in 2021.

The market is currently saturated with a variety of first-person shooters, but Deathloop was able to stand out due to its unique concept. How successful the game will be completely depends on the fans’ reception, but so far, Bethesda Softworks and Arkane Studios are doing alright.

Thanks to the launch of Microsoft’s Xbox Series X|S and Sony’s PlayStation 5 a few days ago, video game enthusiasts have various new titles to play this holiday season. The release games for these next-gen consoles have brand new features such as Bugsnax but returning franchises still reign supreme as Assassin’s Creed Valhalla takes the top billing in terms of physical sales in the United Kingdom.

From November 8 to November 14, total boxed game sales increased at 96% compared to the week before, based on industry expert reports. Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Valhalla took up most of the prize with 42% of sales on the PlayStation 4, 18% on the PlayStation 5, and the remaining 40% across all Xbox platforms. Activision’s Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War came in second and is worth noting that this is the first Call of Duty title to not top the sales list during debut week in 13 years.

With this said, industry experts warn that the overall performance of these titles may be different with all records taken into account, provided the industry-wide rise in digital sales because of the ongoing global pandemic.

Anna Malmhake, Activision Blizzard’s Marketing Director, revealed to Call of Duty news maker CharlieIntel that Black Ops Cold War set a new series record for launch day digital sales worldwide, and gaming analysts anticipate that the game will surpass the record set by Call of Duty Modern Warfare.

While Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla soared to the top of the UK physical sales chart during launch week, they were not only the next-gen games represented. Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man Miles Morales came in third, while Bluepoint Games’ Demon’s Souls remake came in at sixth. FIFA 21 moved from first to fourth place and Watch Dogs Legion moved from fourth to tenth place.

The rest of the list is taken up by Nintendo Switch exclusive games. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Mario 3D All-Stars, and Animal Crossing New Horizons all made it to the top ten, as well as the Switch port of Minecraft from Mojang Studios.

CJ And Flick From Animal Crossing: New Horizons Now In Pocket Camp

Much to the delight of Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp fans, the mobile game still continues to bring in familiar faces along with new villagers. As a matter of fact, Nintendo recently announced that C.J. and Flick from Animal Crossing: New Horizons will be joining the roster of visitors.

The two villagers will still have the same roles from New Horizons. For instance, C.J. is still responsible for hosting the Fishing Tourneys. As the name suggests, this is an in-game event wherein the villagers and players have to catch as many fish as possible within a limited period of time. The more fish you catch, the more your rewards will be as well.

Chip used to be the one who hosted the Fishing Tourneys. The beloved beaver would offer awards to the players, although the award given would solely depend on the size of the caught fish. There was a variety of awards though, even including a trophy.

That being said, C.J. was the one in charge of the latest Fishing Tourney. As such, we have yet to confirm if the two will simply switch with each other from time to time, or if C.J. will be the host going forward.

As for Flick, he is a red lizard with tiny yellow horns. Long-time Animal Crossing fans know that he loves bugs. As such, it makes sense that the event that takes place if or when he visits your campsite revolves around bugs as well.

After you track and capture the bugs for him, Flick will give you all kinds of rewards for your efforts. In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Flick would sometimes visit a player’s island for Bug Tourneys.

When he does randomly show up on your island, you will be able to sell a variety of bugs to him. Not only that, but he’s an artist as well, which means you can commission him to create a bug statue for you.

New Horizons players will still be able to encounter C.J. and Flick during random events and tourneys in the game. However, even greater news is the fact that Animal Crossing fans who don’t have a Nintendo Switch will be able to meet these two via Pocket Camp.

The Nintendo Switch title was released earlier this year and has been incredibly well-received by gamers. That being said, the free mobile installment of the franchise still has a pretty decent playerbase.

As a matter of fact, Nintendo still continues to bring in new villagers to Pocket Camp every couple of weeks, allowing you to have more visitors at your campsite.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp has been out for a while now, more specifically, its global release was last 2017. In fact, it was launched shortly after the Nintendo Switch was released.

Pocket Camp was a great way to pass the days while waiting for the release of New Horizons. While it’s a free-to-play game, it still offers in-game purchases through the use of Leaf Tickets, Pocket Camp’s premium currency. Those who want to purchase limited items to make their campsite more unique than others can use these Leaf Tickets.

Keanu Reeves is Apparently Canon in Cyberpunk 2077’s Universe

Run the Jewels recently released the single “No Save Point” along with its music video for the highly-anticipated title Cyberpunk 2077. However, a lyric from the song has caught the fans’ attention, creating what is called the Celebrity Paradox.

The Celebrity Paradox happens when the actor exists in the same universe at the same time as the character they play as. As a result, fans have been wondering about the consequences of this phenomenon in Cyberpunk 2077.

It appears that “No Save Point” has a line that referenced the actor Keanu Reeves, which goes “Keanu Reeves, cyber arm under my sleeve.” Even though Reeves will be playing the character Johnny Silverhand in the game, it appears that the actor himself is also present in the game’s universe.

After the song was released, fans began to wonder about the ramifications of the lyric, especially since Run the Jewels will be known as Yankee and the Brave in Cyberpunk 2077’s world.

Fortunately, senior quest designer Patrick K. Mills has put the fans’ minds at ease. Through his Twitter account, he confirmed that the “KR lyric is lore friendly.” Apparently, Keanu Reeves also exists in Cyberpunk 2077 and is a “little known Collapse-era actor” who is commonly mistaken for Johnny Silverhand since they look very similar to each other.

Given the fact that Silverhand is a targeted freedom fighter, we can imagine that Reeves is constantly under attack by those who mistake him for Silverhand.

For those who haven’t been keeping track of Cyberpunk 2077’s lore, its timeline supposedly deviates from the 90s, with 1996 bearing witness to the Collapse. More specifically, this Collapse that takes place is the downfall of Western civilization. As a result, numerous megacorporations get established.

Some time in 2020, Silverhand disappears without a trace after attacking Arasaka headquarters. That being said, it would still make sense if Reeves exists in Cyberpunk 2077’s timeline, given how he’s known for being ageless throughout the years.

At this point, Keanu Reeves plays a major role in the game’s marketing. As a matter of fact, he has even requested that his screen time gets doubled. Naturally, this is good news for his fans.

A new video posted on social media giant Instagram features how real-world locations inspired some important areas in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and their precise in-game portrayals are. The game, which was released a few days ago for current and next-gen consoles, is set during the 9th century with a band of Vikings establishing in England after moving from their home in Norway.

The in-game open-world of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla features a number of real-life locations. Areas such as Norwich, York, and London are all simulated in Ubisoft’s latest project, with places from Norway also flaunted.

Obviously, there are also other fictional realms, with fans able to venture into the mythical lands of Jotunheim and Asgard. It also recently became confirmed that another key location known as Ravensthorpe is also inspired by a real-life location. However, this was actually an accident, with developer Ubisoft Montreal not intentionally including what was indeed a legitimate English village.

Now, an intriguing video has surfaced on Instagram displaying the real-life inspirations for numerous areas in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Posted a few hours ago by Assassin’s Creed’s German-language site, the clip features comparisons between places from Norway and England that were included in Ubisoft’s popular game.

Some conversations even become inappropriate role-playing, and the other crewmates have no choice but to bear witness. Albeit InnerSloth meant for Among Us players to get to know each other well enough to sense who the Impostor is, we highly doubt that the developer wanted it to become a platform for online dating.

While many players can get annoyed or uncomfortable with these kinds of conversations, the main issue lies in the fact that anonymity is a crucial part of Among Us’ gameplay. In other words, there’s no way to know for sure if the person you’re talking to is really who they say they are.

Among Us doesn’t have profiles or accounts for the players just yet, and everyone can change their names or aliases at any time. It makes sense to assume that most of these players who are looking for love in Among Us are underage and would most likely take the bait if another player seems to give them the time of day.

With the internet being a part of many people’s daily lives, most children these days have forgotten just how dangerous the online world can be. The internet is full of sexual predators who won’t think twice about using an online game to make advances on innocent minors.

Xbox Series X|S Sells More Than A Million Units On Launch Day

The Xbox Series X|S sold more than one million units on release day alone, attributing to it having the largest Xbox launch of all time. There were a lot of speculations and rumors throughout the year regarding the possible delay of both Microsoft and Sony’s next-gen consoles, but they managed to release the systems on time.

However, there was also some bad news during the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 release situation. For example, until today, it’s still essentially impossible to purchase both systems without turning to scalpers.

Any inflow of new consoles is suddenly gobbled up by scalpers as was the case when Walmart’s website crashed during the PlayStation 5 release day. Even the customers who secured a preorder on release day weren’t guaranteed to get a next-gen console in time, as there have been countless shipping delays for both systems. The fans who preordered an Xbox Series X via Amazon might have to wait until the end of the year before their systems arrive.

The various problems accompanying the launch of the Xbox Series X|S have done little to temper the passion for the next-gen console. According to reports, the Xbox Series X|S sold around 1.5 million units on launch day alone. The USA was the largest market for Microsoft’s next-gen consoles, with Europe close behind it.

The most shocking factor of these figures is that two-thirds of the sales were for the Xbox Series X. The Xbox Series S was originally thought of as the more attractive premise, due to its cheaper selling point, but it appears that fans are willing to pay extra for a more powerful machine.

The fact that Xbox All Access lets players buy a console and two years Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription on credit was likely a huge aspect in the success of the Xbox Series X over the Series S, as consumers can purchase the better system without paying any cash upfront.

The issues with console supply during release day means that fans will never know for sure which system would have come out on top during the 2020 holiday season. Now that the initial release is done, the emphasis shifts to incoming systems.

Xbox head Phil Spencer believes that the supply of the next-gen consoles will be the largest sales factor this year, and he’s not wrong. The fans who have not been able to get a preorder for either console are feeling frustrated over witnessing so many units going up on the market for soaring prices.
