Now that Pokemon Go and other apps from Niantic are getting more and more popular, the company is still making sure that each of their employees is giving everything they’ve got to produce quality results. To guarantee that their level of work remains the same, Niantic has given all of its employees a week to help them take care of their physical and mental health.

Last September 2, Niantic posted on their official site that they are congratulating everyone for doing excellent jobs on the different games that Niantic offers to the world. The company also revealed that they understand that the current year is causing a lot of stress and confusion.

To retain the exemplary work that their employees are doing, the company decided to give everyone time off so they can energize and have the time to adjust to their work from home setting. Beginning September 7, all of Niantic’s employees are given the whole week off.

However, Niantic revealed that a few of its staff will still have to work especially those who provide support to Pokemon Go and their other apps. Even though these employees have to work next week, Niantic guarantees that they will still get a paid 1-week vacation later this year.

While there are several employees still working next week, Niantic is reminding players that there will be lessened activity from its staff during Pokemon Go’s special events next week. By the end of next week, everything should go back to normal.

Niantic has provided a lot of enhancements to Pokemon Go during these troubling times by giving its players special monthly events that they can look forward to. Niantic’s employees who have made everything possible may very well deserve this time off work. As they get back to work, may they even be more revitalized in giving everyone exciting updates to Niantic’s mobile games.

The New Valorant patch has a glitch that makes Omen invulnerable

Valorant’s developer, Riot Games was forced to remove the hero Omen after the new patch unintentionally made him invulnerable via a glitch which can easily be simulated. Besides Omen’s accidental god mode glitch, the patch was released to balance a few heroes and implement a few improvements.

Valorant was launched in early June after undergoing a couple of successful beta testing. Upon its release, the game went off to an excellent start which demonstrated that multiplayer 5v5 FPS games still have a lot to offer.

As of writing, Valorant is exclusively available for PC users. However, Epic Games revealed that a team is now prototyping Valorant for the next-gen consoles so they can share the experience with everyone. However, Riot Games’ intentions aren’t always perfect and the proof is the game’s recently released update.

After the 1.07 update was released in Valorant, players were quick to notice that the already dominant teleporting hero Omen has a new, unintended game-breaking glitch which grants him the ability of total invulnerability and it was really easy to do.

To activate the glitch, players only need to activate the hero’s ultimate skill and cancel it just as the round is ending. After this, Omen becomes totally invulnerable until the end of a match. The bullets still hit the character but there is no damage taken at all.

Aside from this, Omen received another advantage as he can have the ability to teleport behind enemy barriers before the round even begins. This makes him take critical areas earlier than anyone on the battlefield.

Riot Games immediately received complaints and decided to temporarily remove Omen from the game. They only returned him to the roster after fixing all the issues caused by the recently released 1.07 update.

Riot Games’ quick and suitable decision making didn’t surprise the players since the developers took every problem seriously. For example, it took almost 5 years for the developers to make and modify Ascent – Valorant’s most famous map. Usually, this process only takes a year to complete which goes to show how dedicated the developers are in finetuning Valorant.

Unexpected things always happen in games, especially for online multiplayer and live service games which is why they get updated on a regular basis. However, the glitch only shows that Riot Games still needs to focus on quality control by comprehensively checking and preparing an update before it is launched.

In Marvel’s Avengers, collecting comic books is one of the best ways to improve hero stats in both the main game and in the multiplayer feature.

There are comic books that are dedicated to each of the heroes in the game. As part of the first mission, players will be challenged to find the comic books of the give core Avenger characters which are pretty easy to locate but after this, players are on their own.

Players must locate these comic books out in the world which is usually inside Stronghold chests as well as rare items and collectibles. For the Hulk, here are the locations where his comic books are located:

Hulk Comic book locations

Utah Badlands

In the Utah Badlands, players will come across the Chimera ship. Enter it and go into the Hangar. Here a Hulk comic book is hidden inside a red toolbox beside the jet on the right part of the area.

Avengers’ trophy room

After Dr. Banner joins the adventure, players will have the opportunity to visit the Avengers’ trophy room. There is a hidden Hulk comic book here right beside Captain America’s shield.

Chimera Ship

  1. Visit Dr. Banner’s room inside the Chimera. A comic book is easy to spot as it’s lying on top of his desk.

Prince of Persia remake to be revealed on next Ubisoft Forward, journalist claims

Ubisoft is apparently planning to reveal a remake of a Prince of Persia game on the next Ubisoft Forward. The next games showcase has been scheduled on September 10 which will feature promising new games and other huge news such as the upcoming Immortals Fenyx Rising (formerly Gods and Monsters).

Announcement rumors

Jason Schreier, a Bloomberg reporter, recently appeared on a recent episode of the Triple Click podcast. He revealed that Ubisoft is planning to utilize their next games showcase event to announce several games such as a Prince of Persia remake which was leaked a few weeks ago.

Retailer Max.com.gt recently posted and removed a listing of a “Prince of Persia remake” for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4.

Prince of Persia paused

The franchise hasn’t had any installments since The Forgotten Sands in 2010. In 2018, Ubisoft launched a mobile spinoff of the game called Escape. However, the game has been overshadowed by Assassin’s Creed – a new series that rose to popularity as another Prince of Persia spinoff.

In 2013, the current Ubisoft Montreal CEO Yannis Mallat revealed that the game series was put to a pause. However, he also said that Prince of Persia will always be a part of Ubisoft’s portfolio.

He added:

“As a matter of fact, we sometimes iterate on franchises, and sometimes we give them time to breathe and time to grow, or time to rest. Prince of Persia is as important as any other franchise for Ubisoft. As soon as we have something to show, we will.”

In the last Ubisoft Forward, fans were entertained by the announcement of Watch Dogs Legion’s release date of October 29, 2020, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s release date of November 17, 2020, and Far Cry 6’s February 18, 2021 release date.

Fans now know what kind of game Immortals: Fenyx Rising is. Just last week, the game was renamed from its original name which is Gods and Monsters.

Following the rename, Immortals: Fenyx Rising fans are now expecting the next logical step on its official reveal – its release date. However, fans were shocked to learn that a leak popped up on the Microsoft Store ahead of time.

Immortals: Fenyx Rising Leaked Listing

The listing, which is now removed, revealed that Immortals: Fenyx Rising will be launched this year on December 3. The game will also support Smart Delivery which means Xbox One players who already own the game will have a free upgrade once they download it on the Xbox Series X.

As these leaks usually go, the listing on the Microsoft Store also contained Immortals: Fenyx Rising complete game description as well as several in-game screenshots. This the most fans have learned about the game since Ubisoft rarely gave details about the game since it was initially revealed at the E3 game showcase last year.

The animation also appeared to have been changed since it no longer has Zelda: BOTW’s cool colored tones.

Immortals: Fenyx Rising details revealed

Based on the game’s description, Immortal: Fenyx Rising will be open world that features seven distinct regions. Players will take on the character Fenyx who is on a journey to save the Greek gods from an unknown curse.

As the game progresses, Fenyx will be able to borrow the Greek god’s powers such as wielding Daldalos’ wings and Achilles’ sword. Players will also enjoy battles on both land and air as seen on the leaked screenshots.

Looking closely at the leaked photos, players will also meet mythological creatures such as Medusa and Cyclops. The leaks also show a bit of puzzle-solving gameplay but the game description doesn’t contain in-depth details about this.

No need for Switch Online, PS Plus once Rocket League goes F2P

Good news for all Rocket League fans as players no longer need to be subscribed to Switch Online or PlayStation Plus to play the game once it goes free-to-play.

Rocket League developers, Psyonix, revealed the news today and have confirmed that the game will become free-to-play this summer. Its core gameplay will still be the same but the main menu will be revamped.

A new update will be released on all platforms this month and the free-to-play update will follow suit, according to reports, by the end of this month.

Once Rocket League goes free-to-play, players will be able to bring their inventory, progress, and rank to any console a player wants to play the game as long as they are linked to an Epic Games account.

Rocket League will also be available on the PC via the Epic Games Store on the same day it goes free-to-play. Once this happens, the game will no longer be available for purchase on Steam.

The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt confirmed to get PS5 & Xbox Series X upgrade

The Witcher 3 has been confirmed to receive a release on the Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, and PC. The next-gen edition will have technical and visual improvements and will be for free for players who already purchased the game on their existing consoles.

CD Projekt Red announced that they are currently working on The Witcher 3’s next-gen version. The upgrade is said to take advantage of the most powerful gaming hardware. The game will be released as a Complete Edition and will feature ray tracing and quicker load times on both the main game and all its expansions.

The Witcher 3 next-gen edition will be available as a standalone purchase on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC. The game will be free for updates for all players who have bought the game either in digital or physical format.

Radek Grabowski, CD Projekt Red’s lead producer, revealed that the update will be devoted to upgrading all current-gen editions of the game when it will be played on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X hardware.

The exact release date for the new edition of The Witcher 3 hasn’t been revealed yet but the developers confirmed that it will be launched anytime next year.

 

Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury coming to Nintendo Switch

Nintendo just revealed that Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury is coming to the Nintendo Switch. The announcement was part of a Mario-focused Nintendo Direct as part of the character’s 35th year anniversary.

Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury is an improved version of Super Mario 3D World which was initially launched for the Wii U. It features coop play for both local multiplayer and online in an array of various levels.

For people who aren’t familiar with the original game, players need to work together with their friends and compete for a crown. The game was also the first 3D game to feature multiplayer gameplay. Players can choose Mario, Luigi, Toad, or Princess Peach.

The game also introduced the cat transformation that allowed players to run on both hands and feet, pounce on rivals, attack in the middle of the air, and even climb up walls.

The new features and other additional details for Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury has yet to be revealed by Nintendo. The game is scheduled to be released on February 12, 2021, as well as the new Amiibo figurines Cat Peach and Cat Mario.

The Falconeer’s Upcoming Beta Features Huge Birds with Guns

The Falconeer, a game about fantasy air combat, has some big plans for its upcoming beta. For one thing, you can strap on some guns onto a giant bird as you battle against other falconeers. Pretty amazing, right?

It’s a pretty invigorating concept of an aerial combat game, that’s why we’re so excited about it. The Falconeer doesn’t have a release date yet, but the good news is that you have the chance to try out the game via a closed beta.

If you’re interested, you can sign up for the said beta through their designated Discord server. However, the beta won’t be available until October, which will be followed by the official launch sometime the following month.

We also don’t have information yet about what you will find in the beta, although we’re expecting that you will definitely experience flying through the clouds with your ginormous, winged companion.

The developer, Tomas Sala, had an interview with PC Gamer during PAX East, and he gave a sneak peek of the game which you can watch below:

What makes The Falconeer so exciting is the fact that it’s an open-world game and not just something that sends you off to different missions. Given how beautiful the environment appears to be, who wouldn’t want to explore this fictional world?

The game takes place somewhere called the Great Ursee, and it’s basically a drowned land where you can still find the remains of an ancient civilization. There’s so much to discover in The Falconeer – treasure, lost technology, etc. – that you just can’t help but wish you were a tourist The Great Ursee.
