Square Enix Releasing Just Cause Mobile Version Next Year

Square Enix has revealed that Just Cause is developing the franchise into mobile gaming territory which will feature a 4-player coop as well as a 30-player competitive multiplayer. The announcement was revealed during the recently concluded The Game Awards 2020.

Just Cause Mobile will be a free-to-play title of the past Just Cause games. One major feature of the mobile port is the debut of a multiplayer mode for the first time, giving players access to play with friends or battle against them in various open-world settings.

The game is set to arrive on Android and iOS devices. Players will take on the role of the Firebrand program as they fight against the Darkwater corporation. In a recent tweet, developer and publisher Team Meat revealed that the sequel to Super Meat Boy is launching on the Epic Games Store next week.

Announced in 2014, Super Meat Boy Forever was initially meant to be a mobile game. However, Team Meat made a lot of changes and adjustments to the game during its development since then.

The developer regretfully had to announce the game’s delay last year, saying that the title just wasn’t ready yet and required more time to be fully polished and improved. Now, in a surprising turn of events, it appears that the title is ready and excited fans will finally get to experience this sequel very soon.

Developed by Athlon Games and Amazon Game Studios, a brand-new Lord of the Rings MMO is in the works right now and recent reports say that the developers are aiming to release the game by 2022.

The parent company of developer Athlon Games is Leyou, which was recently acquired by Tencent. As a result, the expected release window for the otherwise mysterious free-to-play title was disclosed during a financial filing that took place recently.

According to TheGamer, the financial filing mentions that the new Lord of the Rings MMO could be released “from Q4 2021 to Q1 2023.” In other words, there’s still a chance that the game could launch by next year or early 2023. However, many analysts believe that the most probable release date will land somewhere in the middle — 2022.

The information we know about this game is very limited. As a matter of fact, this newly-discovered release window is only one of the few details we know about it. Among other things we do know is that the new Lord of the Rings MMO is allegedly a free-to-play game that’s set before J.R.R. Tolkien’s books.

See, PC gamers care about performance a lot — they spend thousands of dollars just to get the best PC set up to ensure that the games they play are seamless at the highest of framerates. As such, it can be frustrating to spend all that money just for an anti-piracy software to hamper the performance.

Even though Denuvo is commonly used by developers and publishers as a way to curb piracy concerning their games, it’s a software that isn’t usually advtertised due to the fact it has such a negative reputation.

A new trailer video for Genshin Impact v1.2 update has been posted, announcing new characters, the new Dragonspine map area as well as a quickly approaching launch date.
