Apex Legends Season 7 Most Played Characters Revealed By Developers

Respawn Entertainment has announced the top five most popular characters in Apex Legends Season 7. The latest season of the hit battle royale title has provided players a lot of motivation to keep playing such as the new character Horizon. This list though features most of the older characters in the game, are still extremely popular.

Ever since Apex Legends launched last year, Respawn has tried to keep the game fresh and engaging by frequently adding new content. One of the best ways this has been implemented is by introducing various maps for the players to explore.

Apex Legends’ seventh season is responsible for introducing Olympus, the game’s third map. This map includes an expansive range of various elements such as boosted verticality as well as the game’s first ridable vehicle.

On the official Apex Legends News Twitter page, it announced the most played characters in the game for the current season. It appears that the most picked characters are Wraith, Bloodhound, Horizon, Octane, and Lifeline – in this particular order.

Intriguingly enough, four of the five characters in the list were present in the very first season of the game, and Horizon is the only character who was introduced at a later season. Many fans were quite shocked by the list, especially because of the fact that Octane ranked as high as he did.

In spite of Apex Legend still being an extremely popular addition to the battle royale genre, the game has its fair share of controversies. Recently, a lot of players were disappointed to see that the development team was changing the Season 7 Battle Pass.

This made it more challenging for players to level up in the game for a while which forced them to grind harder than they did before. Thanks to sufficient fan backlash, the developers opted to change it back a week after Season 7 was released.

Pokemon Go Battle League Rewards and Ranks Gets Revamped Ahead of Season 6

As part of the new Pokemon Go Beyond major update, the Pokemon Go Battle League will be receiving a major revamp before the start of Season 6 that will make changes to the title of ranks, increase their number, and improve the rewards trainers will get for achieving each rank. While Pokemon Go’s battle system isn’t as solid as the main games, this Season 6 revamp aims to reconstruct the Battle League into a more satisfying experience.

The Pokemon Go Battle League was launched back in January as a way for fans to competitively fight against each other and earn rewards for doing so. The Battle League functions on seasons at the end of which the rank of players and ratings will reset.

Every season of the Battle League will mix up through Master, Ultra, and Great Leagues which lets players utilize various CP levels of Pokemon. Depending on the number of wins a trainer has will dictate the rewards they will get at the end of every play session, and their rank also dictates which additional rewards they will get.

All of this is about to change, as Pokemon Go Battle League Season 6 kicks off today, bringing with it a plethora of changes discussed by developer Niantic. The most significant change is that the number of Battle League ranks has been double from 10 to 24 ranks.

Players can advance from ranks 1 to 20 by winning battles and the other higher ranks can be reached by earning particular ratings. The top four ranks are also renamed to Legend, Expert, Veteran, and Ace, and each of these ranks will also provide new rewards. Players will also have the chance to encounter Pikachu Libre if they achieve the highest rank before the season ends to motivate trainers to play more of the Battle League.

Pokemon Go’s Battle League Season 6 launches today, kicking things off with the Great League. The Great League will operate until December 14 then the Ultra League will begin along with the Premier Cup. On the 28th of December, Ultra League will be replaced with the Master League, its Premier Cup along with Master League Classic, and the Holiday Cup which runs until the 4th of January. To end the season, all three normal leagues will run beginning January 4 until 11.

There will also be more rewards players can get if they choose to join the Battle League Season 6. These improvements that have been implemented will certainly make the matches more exciting and the season exclusive rewards will make players come back to furiously tap on their mobile screens. While Pokemon Go’s matches may lack the completeness of the main games, this revamp adds more depth to the game.

DOOM Eternal Receives Nintendo Switch Release Date And It’s Near

Chaos is coming to the Nintendo Switch next week as DOOM Eternal will finally be releasing on the console on Tuesday, December 8, 2020. This specific version of the action-packed first-person shooting game has been a long time coming, but now the wait will be finally over for Switch owners.

When DOOM Eternal was first postponed from its initial fall 2019 release to March 2020, publisher Bethesda Softworks and developer id Software would only verify that a Switch port will be rolled out after the game has released on other platforms.

Certainly, months have gone by since the Xbox One, PC, and PS4 editions of the latest DOOM game hit the market. Aside from the developer’s reassurance that the game was still in progress, much of that time has come and gone with considerable silence about the Switch SKU. However, one important piece of news made rounds on the internet a few weeks ago that the port Switch will only be released digitally.

At the very least, the game’s release on the Nintendo Switch is finally coming. On December 8, fans will get to experience all of the game’s high octane violence in a new and portable way. Bethesda and Nintendo revealed the news a few hours ago, complete with a launch trailer that will certainly hype Switch players who have been patiently waiting for the launch of DOOM Eternal on their console.

Since this will only be a digital release, players can only purchase the game via digital codes from retail shops or on the Nintendo eShop. Preorders are also now live, but some players might experience situations wherein past preorders are canceled. If these circumstances happen, Bethesda asks customers to contact their sellers for additional instructions.

Players located in North America will be given access to preorder bonuses including the Rip and Tear pack and DOOM 64. According to the publisher, Rip and Tear will be automatically downloaded and installed to the game.

Though the upcoming launch of DOOM Eternal is certainly an exciting update, there are still several important pieces of information missing. Most notably, Bethesda and id have yet to verify when The Ancient Gods: Part One expansion will arrive on the Switch. Pokemon Go December Community Days Will Feature Over 20 Shinies

Niantic is offering Pokemon Go trainers the opportunity to easily catch over 20 Shinies during this month’s two-day Community Day event. This event is just beyond the horizon and Pokemon Go players will want to gather as much Pokeball, Berries, and Incense so they won’t be missing out on this time-limited event.

Shiny forms of Pokemon are usually difficult to encounter because of their extremely low odds of appearing. The odds of encountering a Shiny Pokemon vary from game to game, with some stooping as low as 1 out of 8192 and as high as 1 out of 25.

Pokemon Go’s Shiny odds are approximated to be around 1 out of 450, which is still a significant increase compared to the 1 out of 4092 in the main Pokemon games. However, on Pokemon Go Community Days, players have a 1 out of 26 probability of meeting the Shiny form of whatever Pokemon is featured on that day. Typically, there will only be only a single Pokemon featured every Community Day.

A few hours ago, Niantic revealed its plans for this month’s Community Day event which will be taking place from December 12 to 13. During the two-day event, Pokemon that were featured in Community Days throughout 2019 and this year will once again appear in the game with boosted Shiny odds.

There will be a total of 22 Pokemon that will have their Shiny odds increased, not including their evolutions. Overall, players will have the chance to capture 64 Shiny Pokemon by capturing them in the wild and then evolving them.

The featured Pokemon for this month’s Community Day are Magmar, Electabuzz, Charmander, Porygon, Magikarp, Ghastly, Weedle, Seedot, Abra, Rhyhorn, Piplup, Chimchar, Turtwig, Bagon, Trapinch, Slakoth, Ralts, Mudkip, Torchic, Treeko, Swinub, and Totodile.

This is not the first time the game has allowed a huge number of Pokemon to share just one Community Day. Back at the end of 2019, a similar event was held that also featured all Community Day Pokemon from that year.

Regardless, Pokemon Go trainers need to make some free time for at least one of the two event days. This is an excellent way for fans to capture some of the Community Day Pokemon they might have missed.

With Pokemon Go now compatible with Pokemon Home, players can also transfer their Shinies over to Pokemon Sword and Shield. With this crazy number of Shinies being featured during a single event, Pokemon Go’s December 2020 Community Day is the best holiday gift a fan could ask for.

After just a few weeks since its release on the market, modders have already discovered a way to get all of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s premium in-game items for free. By utilizing an inventory editor, players have been able to get a hold of every cosmetic item in the game, including several that are not released yet.

It didn’t take long for PC modders to figure out the code of the game such as the comprehensive Eivor customization mod. Overall, it has been a shaky release for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. The game was already facing frame rate and resolution issues as well as a glitch that makes the kids in the game incredibly huge and out of proportion. While Ubisoft’s development team has been doing the best they can to address these issues, it looks like new ones are emerging quicker than they can be fixed.

As credible news sites report, modders from Nexus Mods have made another one of those problems, as they have now discovered a way to get every item available on the in-game store. Normally, these items can only be acquired either via a wandering trader called Reda or by using Helix credits, the game’s exclusive currency, to purchase premium packs. Eurogamer reports,

“After a bit of tinkering found I had suddenly acquired pretty much all the premium packs, which would normally cost around 2000 Helix credits each to unlock (a pack of 2300 Helix credits costs £16.99, if you’re wondering). Or a lot of grinding for opals and waiting for Reda to sell each item individually, I suppose.“

These mods are not restricted to just items in the premium packs, as it seems like the modders were also able to gain access to items that are supposed to release in the future yet. Particularly, the gaming news site revealed, “On some forums users are sharing images such as this fiery wolf, along with Ezio’s Brotherhood Outfit, which has not yet been made available in Valhalla.”

Back in 2018, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey had a similar mod, although it took five months for the modders to figure it out, not two weeks. Eurogamer also noted that “Thus far it seems Ubisoft hasn’t been too bothered by people modding their games to get premium cosmetic items,” although it is uncertain if this will remain the case.

In the case of Odyssey’s mods, the hack on Nexus Mods actually burst into popularity last March and has managed a steady stream of downloads ever since. Reputable Leaker Confirms Hideo Kojima’s Silent Hill Coming Back To PlayStation 5

A credible leaker of PlayStation 5 games such as God of War Ragnarok has struck again, indicating that Silent Hill is on its way back to the next-gen console. The hit horror game was initially set by renowned Metal Gear Solid maker Hideo Kojima in collaboration with moviemaker Guillermo del Toro and Walking Dead sensation Norman Reedus.

This was verified thanks to the PlayStation 4’s P.T., a playable teaser of the game that was launched back in E3 2014 to high player anticipation and critical acclaim. The endeavor was believed to have fallen apart after Kojima’s controversial separation with Konami which has led to his independent establishment of Kojima Studios and Death Stranding, but it appears that the company is finally moving forward with a number of high profile games based on his work.

The same person who leaked God of War Ragnarok before it was revealed has also pledged that a Metal Gear Solid remake is imminent, supposedly coming from Demon’s Souls developer Bluepoint Games. After Konami’s depressing attempt to make its own installment in the Metal Gear series with the poorly received Metal Gear Survive was meticulously denied by players and critics, a third-party remake of the game that put the franchise in the spotlight appears like a reasonable way to go forward.

Another game leaked by YouTuber Moore’s Law is Dead during a recently concluded podcast is Silent Hills, a game that he claims is “almost entirely confirmed.” He asserts that Hideo Kojima and Konami were able to agree on a contract that would let the game maker continue the work he started before separating from the publisher.

This would be a big and entirely unprecedented move, as Kojima thoroughly booted Kojima from the company in a hateful fashion, and Kojima has since refused any involvement with the Silent Hill and Metal Gear franchises.

There is one additional detail about the game that could allow fans to know when they will be seeing more. As some might guess, given the history between Geoff Keighley and Hideo Kojima, the reveal of Silent Hill could be one of the biggest announcements of the upcoming Game Awards 2020.

Keighley was vocal about Konami’s management of Kojima, using his Game Awards time to criticize the publisher. Therefore, it will be a huge PR move to have Konami make a bold move on that very stage while working with the developer they recently publicly condemned.

During the podcast, Moore’s Law is Dead dropped another PlayStation leak that is definitely interesting. Sony has allegedly been reserving gameplay reveals and other announcements due to the fact that their entire PlayStation 5 supply is getting sold out instantly and because they are lacking competition in the exclusives front.

For now, that is possibly the best move, as Xbox’s exclusive lineup of games is still mostly in development at their new studios. Simultaneously, it is another sign of Sony’s arrogance in this generation, and it might cost them everything in the future. Sony is still handling this new generation as a battle between consoles, but exclusive titles will matter slightly less in a battle of online platforms.

Ferg Challenges Dr Disrespect to a $100K 1v1 CODM Match

Dr Disrespect, a recently banned Twitch streamer and is now currently a YouTube user, did not hesitate to live up to his online appellation, and lately aimed his questionable comments at the mobile gaming community. With one controversial tweet, the famous video game streamer has drawn out thousands of comments, many of them supported his opinion while more than a few got offended.

A few days ago, after bragging about his top of the line gaming configuration which includes a mechanical keyboard with Titan switches, three cutting-edge monitors, and a multi-PC setup worth $200,000, Dr Disrespect ended his tweet by questioning how mobile players have “the guts to tell me mobile gaming is a serious thing?”

Understandably, several mobile players, many of whom play professionally and earn a good amount of cash playing on the platform taunted by Dr Disrespect, were not happy about his comment at all. Among those who responded to his tweet was Call of Duty Mobile player Luke “iFerg” Fergie, who challenged Dr Disrespect to a 1 on 1 match for $100,000. Dr Disrespect will play on his over-the-top gaming PC while iFerg would face him using his mobile device. The mobile player also made clear that “no aim assist 1v1 btw.”

Whether the dare was initially intended to be taken seriously, it immediately became a social media movement. Fans began swarming Dr Disrespect’s YouTube channel when he is streaming live, leaving comments such as “1v1 ferg” in the chat. The constant inflow of comments eventually resulted in the streamer restricting his chat to members only. As a response, iFerg tweeted: “What’s the problem, Doc, Mobile players getting the better of you?”

As of writing, there is no sign that Dr Disrespect will take up the challenge thrown by iFerg, but it’s possible that the teasing from viewers supporting the dare will continue until he responds in some specific manner.

iFerg wasn’t the only mobile player to be annoyed by Dr Disrespect’s tweet either. XSET’s PUBG mobile division’s team captain, juicyfruitz, responded to the streamer by stating that playing on mobile “is just too difficult for your old crusty ass fingers to navigate.”

Mobile content creator Elijah Jackson also called out to the YouTuber for his tweet as well, asking why he had to spend $200,000 just to have something that a $600 mobile phone could achieve. Taking it a step further, he also challenged Dr Disrespect to a 1 on 1 Call of Duty Mobile match, offering $10,000 on the spot. “Seriously, anywhere, anytime,” Jackson teased. “Unlike you, I really can do that on my system.”

Perhaps enraging the entire mobile gaming community is not the best idea, but this is not the first time Dr Disrespect has displayed hate for mobile gaming and it is possible that this won’t be the last. The YouTube streamer has provoked PC gamers to challenge him in the past as well.

Back in September, after he proclaimed himself as one of the best Call of Duty Warzone players, Crimsix, a three-time CDL champion challenged the streamer to back up his claim with a “1 shot, 1 kill” sniper match.

God of War Art Director Shares Remakes of Chrono Trigger Characters

With each passing year, more and more video games receive remakes especially with the advent of newer consoles, such as the PlayStation 5 remake of Demon’s Souls. Consequently, more gamers from different fanbases have been crossing their fingers for their favorite classic video game titles to get a full rework.

While not every single game from the past will be getting a remaster or remake, there are incredibly talented souls out there who want to give the fans a little taste of what their favorite games would look like if they were remade using the current technological advancements.

One of these talented artists is Rafael Grassetti, the Art Director for God of War, and many individuals from the video game community as well as those who simply enjoy art in general know that he’s definitely worth following on social media.

Asides from being an Art Director for Sony Santa Monica, Grassetti has made a name for himself by recreating classic characters and then posting the finished outputs for the public to see.

This time around, Grassetti shared his remakes of some characters from the classic Square Enix JRPG, Chrono Trigger, and the final outcome honestly looks incredible. The first remake Grassetti posted on his Instagram was of the main protagonist, Chrono.

The Chrono remake showcases the young, time-traveling hero in jaw-dropping detail. Of course, Chrono wouldn’t be Chrono without the signature Akira Toriyama hairstyle, which Grassetti did an amazing job in recreating as well.

The piece already has over 35,000 likes even though it was only posted two days ago. The fans’ responses were a mix of disappointment and awe, although the former has nothing to do with Grassetti’s work itself.

No, fans were disappointed because the amazing Chrono remake only reminded them of how Chrono Trigger will most probably never get a remake. That being said, Chrono was actually only the first character in Grassetti’s Chrono Trigger project.

Just like how the Art Director previously posted a series of reimagined versions of Smash Bros. characters last year, this newest set will be a part of a bigger project. After the Chrono piece caught the attention of the dormant Chrono Trigger fanbase, Grassetti posted the next character remake shortly after.

The next one that Grassetti created a remake of was a character simply named Frog, an anthropomorphic amphibian Knight who always wanted to do what was right. The last remake so far came in the form of Robo, the abandoned steampunk robot that fans know and love.

Fans of Chrono Trigger know that there are still four other characters left in the party for Grassetti to reimagine, namely Ayla, Marle, Magus, and Lucca. It’s definitely hard to say which character will come next, but those fans who are looking forward to the next piece won’t have to wait too long.

From our observation, Grassetti usually posts the finished products just a few hours from each other. At the time of writing, the Robo piece was posted 21 hours ago, so it shouldn’t be that long before the artist publishes the next one.

There’s not a lot you need to do in order to claim these freebies; simply log into your Pokemon Masters EX account and the Gems will be automatically added. However, you need to keep in mind that this promo won’t be around forever, so it’s best to claim it as early as possible.

More specifically, the celebration present will only be available starting from November 29  through December 23 at 9:59 PM PT. If that isn’t enough, there’s also a “Make Way for Gloria Log-In Bonus,” which will give you 120 5-star scout tickets. These tickets also promise to provide four 5-star sync pairs, which is a great deal.

One reason why the introduction of Gloria and Zacian to Pokemon Masters EX is a huge deal is because they’re the first pair to come from the Galar region. More specifically, the two characters are from Pokemon Sword & Shield, and they have this incredible ability called Behemoth Blade.

Enemies won’t stand a chance against this ability, as it has Zacian striking down its opponents with the slash of its almighty sword. Unleashing the Behemoth Blade has a heavy price though, as it will use up at least four units of the move gauge.

As such, we highly recommend that you don’t abuse this ability if you do happen to obtain Gloria and Zacian during your playthrough. Unlike in Pokemon Sword & Shield, Gloria will be a fully-voiced character in Pokemon Masters EX.

While it’s great that she has a British accent, many fans are disappointed that she doesn’t have a Scottish accent. After all, the internet has always imagined her to be of Scottish heritage.

In other news, the latest update in Pokemon Masters EX introduced a brand-new event called Battle Buffet Bash. As the name implies, Battle Buffet Bash is a culinary-themed in-game event, and players will be given the opportunity to earn 100,000 Prestige Points and other awards by successfully finishing battles.

That being said, the Battle Buffet Bash will only be a limited-time event and it is set to end on December 6, so it’s best to participate in this event as soon as you can.

As for the introduction of Gloria, we believe that her addition will only pave the way for other familiar characters to make an appearance in Pokemon Masters EX. We’ll definitely keep our eyes peeled if or when that happens.

Many Pokemon fans are definitely pleased that both Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield are finally getting some form of recognition in DeNA’s free-to-play mobile title.

This latest iteration in the franchise received a lot of hate which we think they didn’t deserve, despite the fact that Sword & Shield did undeniably have less Pokemon when it was initially released.

Exploring through Galar was a truly charming experience, and the variety of characters you got to meet as you progress was one-of-a-kind.
