Sony has announced several new games to be added to the PlayStation Now subscription service this September. Final Fantasy 15 is now playable until March 1, 2021, while Resident Evil 7 Biohazard will be available until November 30, 2020.

Other new titles including Observation and WWE 2K19 will still be on the service than this month’s new additions. PlayStation Now’s online library now includes over 300 PlayStation 4 games which can be downloaded and played on the console. The subscription also offers more than 700 PlayStation 2, 3, and 4 titles streamable on the PC and PlayStation 4.

Sony discounted PlayStation Now prices last October 2019 in efforts to become more competitive with rival subscription services. It also started adding AAA games every month which are playable for a limited time.

This year, Sony added several AAA games including Hitman 2, Street Fighter 5, Watch Dogs 2, Dishonored 2, Metro Exodus, The Evil Within 2, Rainbow Six Siege, Just Cause 4, Spider-Man, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, and Control.

As of April 2020, PlayStation Now has over 2 million subscribers which is a million higher compared to October 2019. Street Fighter 5 and PUBG are also free for download as of September’s PlayStation Plus games.

Super Mario 35th Anniversary Remaster Collection for Switch delayed

This year marks the 35th anniversary of the ever-popular Super Mario franchise. Because of this, players have been expecting huge announcements from Nintendo ever since 2020 started. While most were pretty shocked when Paper Mario: The Origami King was revealed a few months ago, others were wishing game more inclined to the Super Mario title to celebrate the popular plumber’s 35th-year success.

Super Mario 3D Remastered delayed

These expectations come from a rumor which came out earlier this year that the Japanese gaming giant will release a 3D Super Mario Collection game before this year ends. According to the rumor, the collection will feature remastered editions of Super Mario 64, Super Mario Galaxy, Super Mario Galaxy 2, and Super Mario Sunshine for the Nintendo Switch.

Based on the original leak, the collection was supposed to be revealed during Nintendo’s E3 showcase last June and will launch this September to go along with the Super Mario franchise’s actual anniversary.

However, the game looks like it got delayed most likely because of the global coronavirus pandemic. According to Nate the Hate, a reliable Nintendo leaker, the remastered collection might be released by Nintendo later this year, during the holiday season.

Super Mario 3D World coming to Switch

In addition, the leaker also revealed another leak about Super Mario 3D World coming to the Nintendo Switch. According to Nate the Hate, the game was originally scheduled to be released after the Super Mario 3D Collection in October or November. However, it looks like this will also get delayed and will probably have a January 2021 release window.

While all of this news are just hearsays, Nate the Hate has proven himself as a reliable source of Nintendo leaks in the past. He recently revealed concrete information on both the August Indie World Showcase as well as the recently concluded Nintendo Direct Mini. The recent leaks he just revealed looks like it lines up with another rumor that Nintendo fans could receive news about the 3D Super Mario Collection this week.

Hopes up

Players can just hope that news about the above-mentioned games will come sooner or later. Currently, Nintendo’s biggest game in the market for the holiday season is Pikmin 3 Deluxe. Partner this with a couple of upsetting Nintendo Direct Minis and it’s easy to understand why fans are disappointed with the current situation of their favorite gaming studio. Unless the Japanese giant comes up with a Nintendo Direct, fans may be welcoming a pretty empty holiday season.

On Capcom’s official Twitter account, they have recently announced that Resident Evil Village will be part of the Tokyo Game Show. It’s worth noting that just like most events these days, the physical show was canceled. The live web broadcast will take two days, from Septemeber 26 through 27, on Capcom’s official Twitch channel.

For those two days, the live broadcast will run from 5 AM – 8 AM PDT. If you’re only interested in Resident Evil Village, it will be included in the September 27 stream, so don’t forget to take note of that.

The show will be streamed in Japanese, though, but there’s no need to worry. There will be English and Chinese interpretations so that you will still be able to understand the entire thing.

Alongside Resident Evil Village will be Street Fighter V Champion Edition, which will be included in the September 26 stream.

In case you missed it, an announcement trailer for Resident Evil Village was released way back in June. Plus, an interview with Tsuyoshi Kanda and Pete Fabiano revealed vital information about the game. For one thing, this will serve as a conclusion to Ethan’s story, which began in Resident Evil 7: Biohazard.

Resident Evil Village will be launched sometime in 2021 for gaming platforms such as the Xbox Series X, PS5, and PC.

Check Out This Frightening PVE Mode Created By An Overwatch Player

As we all know, Blizzard has been busy with Overwatch 2. As such, players of the game have started making their very own game modes using the workshop mode that has been made accessible to the fans.

Most of these fan-made modes focus on team or deathmatches, which is how Overwatch is usually played. However, one brilliant and creative player has ventured where others have not and created a horror PVE mode, which he named “Glitch in the System.”

The creator, Therister, revealed his horrifying creation on Reddit, along with a trailer that will make the hair on your neck stand on edge. Check out the trailer below:

[Epilepsy Warning] i made a glitch-themed PvE HORROR gamemode with A.I. monsters in Workshop! – GLITCH IN THE SYSTEM – by Therister, the Aleph-Null Boss Fight guy – watch until the end. check comments for more details 🙂 from Overwatch

Your main goal in this is quite simple; all you have to do is collect all the orbs. However, it won’t be as easy as you think. As soon as you pick up an orb, you will start hearing Sombra voice lines. Not only that, but the screen will start blinking and you will start “hallucinating” Sombras around you.

Now, here’s the most interesting part: you play as Doomfist in Therister’s game mode. As you may or may not know, Doomfist is weak against Sombra, as she will be able to disarm him easily with one hack.

Not only that, but there’s no way for you to fire at the Sombras. All you can do is use Doomfist’s abilities to help you navigate the map and get as far away as possible from the Sombras.

As you progress, you will start to hallucinate texts as well i.e. words will blink on the screen. This gives you the sensation that someone has hacked into the system, thus the title “Glitch in the System.”

What’s creepy is that Sombra will keep following you, lurking in the shadows. Plus, fog will be blocking your view most of the time, so you’re not that sure what’s ahead of you while you play the game.

If you want to try out this game mode, Therister has included the workshop code in the trailer: HHHPHB. You can play with up to 4 people, but if you want the full horror experience, its recommended that you dive into it alone.

It’s finally September, and a brand-new month means completely new seasonal items for Animal Crossing: New Horizons. This means you will see not only new fauna in the game but acorns and pinecones have been sighted already in the Northern Hemisphere islands.

Do you know what else this means, though? Players will be able to purchase new and limited-only items in the Nook Shopping catalog. For September’s new seasonal item, you have the grape-harvest basket. This is a basket you can wear like a bag, something you can use to celebrate the Grape Harvest Festival.

This wearable baskets cost about 800 Bells and will only be available until September 30. If you want it, you can get it on the Seasonal tab in the Nook Shopping catalog.

As previously mentioned, acorns and pinecones have started appearing in Animal Crossing. Fun fact: you can use these to make new autumn-themed DIY recipes. You’ll receive one of these recipes from Isabelle, though, during her daily announcement when you start the game. Other than that, you can find these recipes in balloons.

New bugs and other creatures have also appeared in the game. In the Northern Hemisphere islands, you will find crickets and red dragonflies, among others. For the Southern Hemisphere, you have honeybees, mantises, and other insects.

That being said, Nintendo has yet to announce new content for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, even though a new month has already started. The last update was way back in early August, and it added a variety of new features.

They’re surely still working on something new for us. For now, we can find joy in the new creatures and items that September has to offer.

Pokemon Go Will No Longer Support Older Devices This October

0

Bad news for those who are still playing Pokemon Go on an older device: there’s a high chance you will have to upgrade your phone if you wish to keep playing this addictive mobile game. We’ve received news that this coming October, Pokemon Go will no longer be supporting certain phone types and operating systems.

On the official Pokemon Go Twitter account, they have posted that support for those devices still running on Android 5, iOS 10, and iOS 11 will cease this October. This means that if you’re running iOS 12 and above, you will be good to go. However, it still depends on what kind of device you’re using.

Unfortunately, they will no longer support iPhone 5s and iPhone 6 devices as well, which are two of the oldest iOS devices that could still play Pokemon Go right now. There is no specific date yet, but an update will be released sometime in October that will make the game unusable on those devices.

With that in mind, it’s highly possible that future updates for the game will release new features that those devices or operating systems will not be able to handle. That said, you still have the whole of September to consider whether or not you want to get a new phone.

Here is an Overview of League of Legends’ 10.18 Update

As scheduled, League of Legends’ 10.18 patch has gone live and Riot Games has already released the patch notes for this. This update has brought with it quite a lot of changes, but thankfully, we’re here to give you a summarized overview of everything.

For the champion updates, there aren’t quite a lot of major ones. Riot has made some balance changes to some champions wherein they are either slightly buffed or nerfed. For instance, we have Ashe, whose attack damage has been slightly nerfed from 61 to 59.

Other champions, such as Galio, Kog’Maw, and Xin Zhao, also underwent minor balance changes.

https://twitter.com/LeagueOfLegends/status/1300871165095813120?s=20

There is a champion who received a huge makeover, though, and that is Ahri. Namely, major changes were made to her passive, Q, as well as W abilities. For one thing, the Essence Theft which is supposedly from her Q is now her passive ability. In line with that, her old passive has been removed.

On the other hand, her W will now permit a 40% movement speed that will decay over 1.5 seconds. If you look at this on a positive note, this means that she will still have a speed boost in her kit. The patch notes read:

Ahri’s identity and gameplay have become a little muddled over time, and she isn’t as charming as we’d like her to be. We’re making some kit changes, especially to her W, to reinforce an identity of a flighty mage who can weave in and out of fights as she looks for the perfect moment to strike. In addition, we’re also shifting her Essence thievery from her Q to her passive to open up more opportunities for her to reap its healing rewards when trading with enemy champions.

Altogether, she should feel equipped to (spirit) rush into more combos and outplays.

On another note, there has been a change to the Guardian rune. Riot has decided to nerf this rune as more and more players have been using it recently. Now, the Guardian rune’s ability power has been reduced.

Of course, League of Legends’ 10.18 update also has your average bug fixes and quality of life changes. Additionally, the new PsyOps skins will be released in this patch as well, which we think look really great.

If you want to take a look at the complete changes, you can check out the patch notes, which you can read on the League of Legends website.

League of Legends’ True Damage Yasuo Prestige Edition Skin is Inspired By the AAPE Collection

In case you missed it, Riot Games and AAPE by A Bathing Ape are working together to create an apparel collection as well as a new League of Legends Prestige Edition skin for True Damage Yasuo.

This isn’t the only partnership Riot has made recently, though. It has also been announced that Riot Games partnered with Universal Music Publishing Group in order to write promotional songs for the highly-anticipated League of Legends World Championship.

For this collaboration, fans of Yasuo or League of Legends, in general, will be able to get a one-of-a-kind True Damage Yasuo Prestige Edition shirt from either AAPE’s physical stores that are peppered throughout different cities or from Riot’s merch website. AAPE will be posting more information about this on their website on September 18.

Speaking of True Damage Yasuo Prestige Edition, the skin for this will be one of League of Legends’ partnered skins. As a matter of fact, the design for this skin is heavily inspired by AAPE’s League of Legends apparel collection.

Image

According to an AAPE representative:

“We’re honored to have been able to work with Riot Games on an in-game partnership, encapsulating our designs and aesthetic permanently into the game in the form of True Damage Yasuo Prestige Edition. We hope we did players justice with an authentic and sleek design that feels good to play and see in-game.”

In addition, True Damage Yasuo was a perfect candidate for this collaboration because the aesthetics are a good fit for AAPE’s designs.

That being said, the True Damage Yasuo Prestige Edition will be made available for 100 Prestige Points starting this September 25 until the end of the year.

Fortnite Adds ‘Panther’s Prowl’ Statue, Drawing Tributes to Chadwick Boseman From Fans

Fortnite’s most recent season is all about Marvel, with the game currently adding all kinds of skins and cosmetics as well as Marvel-themed areas and landmarks to the map. Recently, Epic Games has added “Panther’s Prowl,” a statue dedicated to Black Panther.

You can find Panther’s Prowl on the west side of Misty Meadows, and it showed up a few days after the death of Chadwick Boseman last August 28 due to colon cancer. However, a spokesperson for Epic told Kotaku that this was all purely timing, as the addition was already planned beforehand.

“As with the rest of the world, we were greatly saddened to learn of the passing of actor Chadwick Boseman. The Black Panther monument arrived this morning as part of a previously-planned narrative for the new Chapter 2 – Season 4 season.”

That said, the appearance of this monument could not have come at a better time, though. After discovering this statue, Fortnite players took this opportunity to pay tribute to the well-loved actor. They have been sharing pictures and clips of the monument all over Twitter and Reddit.

On a related note, dataminer HypeX has recently predicted that Fortnite will be releasing a Black Panther skin. As such, some fans have been suggesting that the proceeds from this skin should be donated to charity.

We’ve seen a surge of changes in Fortnite since the Marvel season was released. This Black Panther monument is only one of the additions planned in this epic Marvel and Fortnite crossover.
