Gal Gun Returns Announced for PC and Consoles

Gal Gun fans can now rest easy knowing that PQube and Inti Creates have announced that the game will be returning to PC and consoles in 2021. The announcement came with an English website, details regarding the collectors’ edition, as well as a new trailer.

Just like the original title, Gal Gun Returns will be one part visual novel and one part action shooter. If you’re unfamiliar with this title, the premise is pretty simple: a young man suddenly becomes extremely popular with the ladies.

As such, he has to fend himself from their unwanted advances, especially since he’s not interested in them at all. There’s one girl in particular that has caught his eye, however. As he attempts to get to know this young woman, the game’s protagonist has to utilize a special tool in order to ward off the onslaught of women.

The initial Gal Gun game was released for the Japanese Xbox 360 all the way back in 2011. Later on, the title was ported to the PlayStation 3 along with the introduction of brand-new characters and PS Move support.

This upcoming remastered version, on the other hand, will feature more than 70 characters, including the main heroines of the game, students and teachers, as well as the angels. In addition to that, each and every one of these 70 characters will be fully voiced.

There’s a variety of game modes you can choose from in Gal Gun Returns. Naturally, there’s a Story Mode that contains the entire campaign of the game. There’s also a special “Doki Doki Mode” that needs to be unlocked first by meeting all the required conditions. A special bonus will be given to those players who somehow manage to fire at the women at different angles.

One cool thing worth noting in Gal Gun Returns is that you don’t need to separately purchase the DLC costumes because they will come pre-loaded in this title.

The original Gal Gun game was released about ten years ago now, so it’s already expected that this remaster will have a couple of changes and improvements. As a matter of fact, the publisher states that some adjustments have been made to the character designs, such as new hairstyles among other things.

Not only that, both new and old players can look forward to new CGs for the heroines’ introductions. If you check the game’s official website, you will find short biographies for each heroine along with new character renders. You can check this out if you wish to get to know each one better.

Gal Gun Returns is set to release this 2021 for the PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One.

AEW To Release New Wrestling Game To Rival WWE 2K: Details Revealed

Following the recently concluded Full Gear pay-per-view event, All Elite Wrestling president Tony Khan announced to the press that they have plans in the work for two new video games based on his upstart wrestling association.

The AEW began running shows in 2019, airing Dynamite every week on the TNT network along the side of a couple of PPV events throughout the year. They are the first promotion with sufficient funding to take on the supremacy of WWE in the pro wrestling industry since the termination of World Championship Wrestling in the 1990s, and their increasing popularity naturally leads to broadening into the video game industry.

A few wrestlers currently working at their trade-in AEW are famous in the gaming community. Kenny Omega has appeared regularly at eSports and gaming events across the country, usually furthering his rivalry with WWE star and UpUpDownDown host Austin Creed.

During its first year, the company held an event called Fyter Fest in collaboration with CEO, a famous fighting game event held yearly in Orlando, Florida. During the show, Kenny partnered with the Young Bucks for a Street Fighter-themed entrance that perfectly recreated Akuma’s iconic entrance in the game. Omega also appeared as Sans from Undertale on a Halloween-inspired episode of AEW Dynamite.

During a Wrestlezone press conference, Tony Khan revealed more details about the upcoming announcements concerning AEW’s attempt to enter the video game industry this Tuesday. The CEO announced that preparations are underway on at least two separate launches.

One will be in a “best in class” console launch offering wrestling similar to other sports games like WWE 2K. The other will be a game releasing on mobile phones that provides a simulation experience of managing their own wrestling league and put shows together. Khan also promised more games to come after these two initial launches.

The wrestling video game scene has not been that impressive for quite a few years now. While 2K’s series of WWE games has its fans, the most recent game in the franchise was received badly by the vast majority of gamers that the game skipped a year to try to get things back on track.

This year, the company rather launched WWE 2K Battlegrounds – an arcade-style wrestling game that’s restricted in scope and full of microtransactions. Outside of the company, while there have been attempts at giving an alternative wrestling experience for fans, no games have appeared as solid contenders.

Much like the appearance of AEW Dynamite increased interest in the sport for a particular group of fans on TV, a new game based on the rebellious league could bring fans back to the genre. With former WWE superstars like Chris Jericho, Miro, Cody Rhodes, and others on their roster, All Elite Wrestling has a great opportunity of whirling fans of the N64 generation of wrestling games, and those in charge have largely hinted that they are working with various developers of those titles for this new project.

New KonoSuba Mobile Game Launches This 2021

KonoSuba: Fantastic Days was initially only released in Japan, however, fans of the franchise who live outside of Japan will be happy to know that the mobile game is set to globally launch on iOS and Android devices in 2021.

Developed by Sumzap and to be published by Nexon, the upcoming mobile title will be created in collaboration with Kadokawa, the publisher of the KonoSuba anime. That being said, the game’s full title is quite absurd just like the animated series: KonoSuba: God’s Blessing On This Wonderful World! Fantastic Days.

Fans of the anime will find the game’s storyline and characters to be familiar, although players will be able to encounter new characters who were specifically made just for the mobile title as you progress through the narrative.

In addition to that, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days will definitely feel like the real deal, as Kazuma and Aqua’s voice actors will be reprising their roles. From what we know so far, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days is going to be a roleplaying game, so we expect it to have some kind of gacha system in place.

The mobile game is labeled as a “free-to-play character-collection RPG,” so get ready to summon a variety of characters until you can get your hands on your favorite character from the anime.

A new Twitter account dedicated to the game has been created, but it hasn’t posted any official gameplay footage just yet asides from one tweet that features the trailer. However, with just a little bit of googling, you will find gameplay videos of the Japanese version of the game.

Based on this footage, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days will feature charming animations, turn-based combat, and a multitude of quests you can undertake. As such, we’re sure that iOS and Android players will have a lot of features and content to enjoy once the game goes live next year.

We’re a little bit familiar with Nexon because the company has had a pretty decent lineup of mobile titles throughout this year. Although, probably the most memorable one was KartRider Rush+.

This was a game that rivaled against Mario Kart Tour, and some would even go so far as to say that it’s a better game. KartRider Rush+ already had a multiplayer mode when it was initially launched, unlike Mario Kart Tour. Not only that, players could even participate in a deep campaign.

Without a doubt, Mario Kart Tour has a more powerful roster of characters and this isn’t up for debate. However, if you’re looking for a unique kart racing experience that goes deeper than Mario Kart Tour ever could, you should try out KartRider Rush+.

Sony Gives Tips On How To Keep Your PlayStation 5 From Overheating

Sony has given players a couple of advice on how they can prevent their PlayStation 5 from overheating when they finally get to play the next-gen console releases this Thursday. The patent for the heat sink of Sony’s next-gen console was announced last April, with the internal design displaying the heat sink that will be situated on the bottom of the circuit board. Proper ventilation and heat output are essential components of all gaming devices, from next-gen consoles to high-end computers.

Both the Xbox Series X|S and the PlayStation 5 have been criticized by the gaming community and experts to determine whether the machines can keep themselves cool enough given they’re provided sufficient room to breathe properly. For instance, the Xbox Series X’s heat is comparable to that of the Xbox One X, according to a staff of Xbox Games Marketing at Microsoft.

The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes Officially Releases Teaser Trailer

Developer Supermassive Games recently released Little Hope, the second installment in the Dark Pictures Anthology series, which received opposing opinions from critics and players alike.

Just like in the first installment, Man of Medan, Little Hope included a secret teaser trailer of the next game in the series after the credits finishing rolling. Based on the teaser, we found out that the third installment is entitled House of Ashes and that it heavily features a squad of soldiers.

However, beyond the trailer and the fans’ speculations, there wasn’t a lot of information revealed about House of Ashes during that time. Fortunately, publisher Bandai Namco decided that it’s about time to reveal more details about the upcoming game, giving the fans an idea about what to expect in The Dark Pictures Anthology’s third installment.

Bandai Namco has officially released the teaser trailer that was secretly inserted at the end of Little Hope, along with the announcement that House of Ashes will be released some time in 2021.

Not only that, but the publisher shared some of the game’s story details so that excited players can get the gist of the game. According to the announcement post on Bandai Namco’s website, House of Ashes takes place in 2003 during the Iraq War.

You will be following Rachel King, a CIA operative who is speculated to be played by Ashley Tisdale, one of the former High School Musical stars. Rachel partners up with an elite team of military soldiers in order to bust a secret chemical weapons facility that’s located underground.

However, they get ambushed first. Due to this intense skirmish between the two parties, a series of sinkholes start opening up in the desert they’re in, dropping everyone right into a buried Sumerian temple.

As expected from a horror title by Supermassive Games, the characters won’t be alone in the ruins of this temple. A variety of “ancient and unearthly creatures” get roused from their slumber, and they will hunt you down as they try to find a way to escape from the underground world.

Based on what Bandai Namco has revealed, House of Ashes truly feels like a Supermassive Games title, as the developer has had a long history of creating spine-chilling narratives since the launch of 2015’s Until Dawn.

That being said, it doesn’t seem like House of Ashes will be any different, as “horrific discoveries and impossible decisions face the survivors” in this upcoming installment. As the player, you have to find a way to get out of the newfound underworld alive all while fighting off the savage creatures hunting you.

As for the second entry, Little Hope, the game garnered mixed reviews from the gaming community. Although many claim that it’s better than Man of Medan, which was also criticized by many, other players didn’t like the linear storyline, and how the characters weren’t interesting enough. Besides that, critics thought that the moral decisions just didn’t make enough of an impact.

Nevertheless, these constructive criticisms didn’t stop other players from enjoying the game. As such, we’re sure that House of Ashes will still have a decent following once it gets released next year.

Genshin Impact’s First Banner for Update 1.1 Is Officially Revealed

The release of Genshin Impact’s 1.1 update is almost upon us. On the one hand, some players are looking forward to the upcoming quality of life improvements that will be implemented in the game once the update goes live. Others, on the other hand, are more excited about the new characters that will be introduced in the new special banners.

To make the community even more excited, miHoYo has officially announced the first banner that will be a part of the massive update. Genshin Impact’s new event banner is entitled “Farewell of Snezhnaya.”

If you’ve been playing the open-world title for a while now, you’ll know that this an obvious reference to Tartaglia “Childe,” who is the lead 5-star character in this banner. Asides from Childe, however, there are a couple other characters that you can pull in this banner.

Namely, there’s the catgirl Diona who works as a bartender in The Cat’s Tail, as well as Ningguang and Beidou. Thanks to this new banner, players will have an increased rate of acquiring these characters through Genshin Impact’s Wish system.

This new banner will go live on November 11 as soon as the 1.1 update is launched. That being said, there are fans who are disappointed that Zhongli and Xinyan, two characters that will be introduced in this update, are not part of the banner.

However, developer miHoYo has assured fans that these beloved characters will be having their own event banner as well in the future, where players will also get an increased chance of summoning them.

Because of this confirmation, players are beginning to think that there’s some truth to the information leaked less than a week ago. One Reddit user revealed a couple of images that appeared to be the new banners coming to update 1.1.

However, these leaked images didn’t show who the 5-star characters are for the respective banners. If you look at the first leaked image, you can see Diona, Ningguang, and Beidou, who are all present in the official event banner as announced by miHoYo.

As for the second image, the characters featured are Xinyan, Chongyun, and Razor. If this leak is truly accurate, then it’s safe to say that the following banner will be very Claymore-centric indeed.

Even though players don’t have any guarantee as to which character they’ll be able to obtain every time they make a Wish, some are starting to prepare themselves as best as they can for the upcoming update in case they luckily pull the characters they want.

Preparation includes the gathering of various materials that are needed for character ascension, such as Hoarfrost Cores and Calla Lillies for Diona, and Cleansing Hearts and Starconches for Childe.

Not only that, but it might benefit you to start gathering Crystal Cores. You see, miHoYo has made some changes to Genshin Impact’s Resin system, wherein players can now craft an item called Condensed Resin. You will need 40 Original Resin, 100 Mora, and a Crystal Core in order to craft this item.

It appears that this Condensed Resin is meant for those fans who don’t play everyday but would like to be able to grind efficiently within a day.

PlayStation 5 Game Sharing Feature Explained

Primary PS4, the PlayStation 4’s game sharing feature, was something that a lot of PlayStation owners found themselves using so a bunch of gamers could play one game without having to purchase multiple copies. Sony has confirmed that the PlayStation 5 will also have this feature as players move over to it, just with a different name. Aside from this, the feature will be receiving an update that makes it even simpler to use on the PlayStation 5.

Primary PS4, as the name conveys, allows players to set up one PlayStation 4 as their primary home console. Doing so allows anyone that uses the Primary PS4 to access its entire collection of media and video games, even if they sign up for it using another account.

On the PlayStation 5, this feature will be called “Console Sharing and Offline Play.” It will generally offer the same service as the Primary PS4, allowing multiple players to access one account’s digital content, even if the console isn’t connected to the internet.

According to various gaming news outlets, only a single PlayStation 5 will be able to have Console Sharing enabled at one time, but the feature can be toggled on or off at the decision of the owner. If owners want to change switch their primary PlayStation 5 console, they can.

Accessing the Console Sharing and Offline play feature is easy via the PlayStation 5’s brand new user interface. All players have to do is:

    • Head to settings
    • Select User and Accounts
    • Choose Other
    • Pick Console Sharing and Offline Play
    • Turn it on/off by choosing Disable or Don’t Disable

By default, a brand new PlayStation 5 will automatically have this feature enabled, but players can always toggle it on and off. Sony also verified that the PlayStation 5’s Console Sharing feature will not interfere with the Primary PlayStation 4, so anyone trying to play with both consoles using a single account can do so without having to worry about always disabling the feature.

Unfortunately, the Xbox Series X will not have this feature. Two Xbox One consoles can both have access to an Xbox Live account simultaneously, but trying to log in with an Xbox Series X will kick the other consoles out.

Ultimately, Console Sharing is great news for fans of the Primary PS4 feature. It’s always likely for a gaming console or any kind of technology to lose a famous feature when it transitions from one generation to the next, so it’s great to know that the Primary PS4 managed to avoid this.

Important Materials To Farm Before Genshin Impact Update v1.1

Update v1.1 is the first major update for miHoyo’s hit RPG Genshin Impact and is set to arrive this November 13. Several new features will be added to the game through new updates such as new characters, bug fixes, new areas to explore, and a reputation system that will provide players additional chances to receive rewards as they discover the expansive world of Teyvat.

Also getting a revamp in Genshin Impact Update v1.1 is the Resin system, which has garnered a bit of criticism from fans because it tends to block players’ ability to progress through the endgame content. Condensed Resin will be the developers’ attempt to fix the situation, and in preparation for the new update, players may want to begin farming several materials.

Resin, as it is currently enforced in Genshin Impact, is a material that’s capped at 120 and regenerates at a rate of one Resin every eight minutes, thus taking 16 real-time hours to fully recover. Resin is used to unlock rewards for completing various activities in the game including weekly and elite bosses, Abyssal Domains, and Ley Line Blossoms.

Update v1.1 will add a system where Resin can be saved up using an item called Condensed Resin. This item can be created after achieving Reputation Level 3 in Liyue and getting the Condensed Resin blueprint.

At an alchemy bench, players will be able to create the new item at the cost of 100 Mora, 40 Original Resin, and a Crystal Core. Condensed Resin can be used to regenerate Ley Line Blossoms and Petrified Trees found inside Abyssal Domains, letting players efficiently earn double rewards from these missions.

Crystal Cores are an important component for making the Condensed Resin, and they aren’t easy to farm. They can be gathered by beating Crystal Flies, golden bugs located close to particular waypoints in the Liyue region. Some spawn locations include the area between Jueyun Karst and Ciujue Slope, northwest of Mt. Tianheng waypoint, north of Bishiu Plain, the canyons under Mt. Aozang, and Guyun Stone Forest.

Unlocking the rewards for Petrified Trees and Ley Line Blossoms each costs 20 Resin, and crafting a Condensed Resin for double rewards costs 40 Resin and several other materials. The new item generally lets players save time if they only have a limited time to play or have a lot of time and spend much of it farming these rewards and activities.

Rather than fast traveling or running to reach new Domains and Ley Line Blossoms, players can easily use one Condensed Resin and receive double the rewards for their efforts.

New Black Widow Skin Is Coming To Fortnite

For the past couple of months, Fortnite has been releasing steady streams of Marvel-themed skins and it doesn’t seem like it has any plans of stopping soon. Although, this doesn’t come as a surprise given the fact that Fortnite’s current season is all about Marvel.

While Epic Games took a quick break from the Marvel-themed content during the game’s Halloween event, it appears that things are back to normal with this latest addition to the free-to-play title: Black Widow.

The new addition was teased on the official Fortnite Twitter account. From what we can infer, players who participate in the Marvel Knockout Super Series tournament will be first in line in getting their hands on Black Widow.

This is reminiscent of the way Daredevil was introduced to the game as well, as he was a reward for those who won the tournament’s first bracket. Shortly after, he was made available to the rest via the in-game item shop.

If this is the same way for Black Widow’s addition to Fortnite, then we assume that she will be made available to the rest of the players more or less a week after the next phase of the tournament.

At this point, many Marvel fans are looking forward to the release of the Black Widow movie, and playing as the character in Fortnite should be a sufficient enough distraction to pass the time.

As soon as Black Widow officially makes her way to the game, she will be joining a roster of powerful Marvel characters – from other members of the Avengers like Thor and Iron Man to X-Men members such as Wolverine.

Although, we’re still not sure if Black Widow will be joining the game as her own character with her own abilities, or if she will simply be a skin for players to use. In any case, it will still be a great addition to Fortnite either way.

The image posted by Fortnite’s Twitter account is more of a silhouette of Black Widow, thus her design and appearance are obscured. That being said, we highly doubt that Epic Games will drastically change her design.

After all, Fortnite has been following the traditional comic book designs of the characters, so we expect Black Widow to wear her classic outfit as opposed to the outfits she sports in Marvel’s Avengers.

 

We’re definitely excited to know who’s joining the roster after this, especially since Ghost Rider recently arrived in the game through the Marvel Super Series competition. At this point, all we have are guesses and theories.

For one thing, it’s noteworthy how both Captain America and Captain Marvel, two iconic characters in the Marvel universe, are not present in Fortnite’s lineup. It’s also possible that the Fantastic Four will be making an appearance as well, given the fact that the villain Doctor Doom is already in the game.

Perhaps Spider-Man will be included too since there have been countless leaks that indicate the addition of Venom to Fortnite. Without a doubt, there’s a lot of possibilities. For now, all we can do is look forward to the addition of Natasha Romanova (a.k.a. the Black Widow). If you want to see more Marvel-related content, make sure to check out Toynk!

New Animal Crossing: New Horizons Trailer Showcases Content Coming This November

Winter is looming closer and closer in the Northern Hemisphere, as such, new holidays and events will be made available on Animal Crossing: New Horizons very soon as well. Since the game’s seasonal Halloween event has already come to an end, players are now looking forward to the Fall season which celebrates the Harvest Festival, the game’s version of Thanksgiving.

The Harvest Festival takes place on November 26, but there are so many things you can do before then. Fortunately, Nintendo has released a brand-new content trailer that details all the different things you can expect to arrive at your island this month.

One thing the trailer highlights is the fact that the color palette of the environment will slowly change as each day passes and we move further into November. In other words, the surrounding scenery will begin to take on Autumn-themed colors.

For instance, the grass will change from green to a more yellow-ish shade, while the leaves on trees slowly become orange and red. The trailer also discusses the different bugs and fish you’ll get the chance to catch this month in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

That being said, it’s best not to expect a lot of new bugs and fish this time around, especially if you started playing the game when it initially launched in March. That being said, there’s no need to be disappointed because you can still find all kinds of new collectible items scattered throughout your island during this month.

For instance, you will be able to find mushrooms growing next to flowers and trees that you can collect in order to craft a variety of Mushroom DIY recipes. If you dig in specific spots on your island, you might even come across very rare types of mushrooms.

As you reach the later parts of the month, you can start catching maple leaves in order to craft even more Fall-themed items. Since the Fall season brings with it cooler winds, you might come to notice that there won’t be as much new wildlife present in the Northern Hemisphere around this time of the year.

As such, you might even consider this season to be more laidback compared to the warmer seasons in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. That being said, Fall has one of the biggest events in New Horizons, which is the Harvest Festival.

After the highly-anticipated Harvest Festival, you can then look forward to Toy Day, which is the jolly Christmas Event in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. December will bring with it a bunch of new content as well as a new event character who will host Toy Day.

The happy-go-lucky reindeer, Jingle, is actually a favorite among Animal Crossing players. Since November gives you the opportunity to relax and not think about a thing, December is the complete opposite as it’s full of holiday spirit.

This year may be a lot of players’ first time participating in Animal Crossing: New Horizon’s Toy Day, which is a pretty exciting and fun seasonal event. With the regular stream of updates and new content, New Horizon fans won’t run out of things to do anytime soon.
