Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Bought Cheaply By Lucky Fans Thanks To Glitch

maxresdefault-2-9

The age of next-generation consoles and games is just beginning, as the Xbox Series X|S released today with a few new games to play alongside it. One of these is Assassin’s Creed Valhalla which is getting positive reviews from players and critics alike.

While most fans paid tens of dollars to own a copy of the game, or to buy it on the day of its release, the same can’t be told for several lucky fans. Thanks to what seems like a glitch, select players were able to buy a copy of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Ultimate Edition at an extremely low price.

As a newly released title, the standard edition of the game costs $60 while its Ultimate Edition including all the freebies and rewards it has to offer is tagged at $120. However, lucky fans in Norway were in for an early Christmas treat when they discovered that the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Ultimate Edition was being sold for just 109 Krones, or just above $10.

assassins-creed-valhalla-store-glitch-price-7780045Ubisoft has already fixed the price back to where it belongs and anyone who missed the glitch is sadly out in the cold. These types of monetary mistakes have occurred in the past, and usually, it instantly results in the cancellation of the glitched purchases.

However, the individuals who were lucky enough to purchase the game appears to be locked on their purchases since there is no sign that Ubisoft has reversed or canceled these purchases. Perhaps the most amazing part of this whole issue is the fact that the game’s main campaign begins in Norway and focuses mainly on the area.

It would have been an exciting promotional decision to provide players in the country a provisional discount, but the developers have provided no sign that this was intentional, so it appears like it is pure coincidence.

This glitch comes on the edge of a possible price increase for next-gen games for the first time in a couple of years. Publishers and developers have talked about the possibility of raising the cost of next-gen games, with some games launching at $70 rather than the usual $60 that standard releases have been since the current-gen consoles were released.

While Assassin’s Creed Valhalla released with the usual price, gamers who are hesitating to spend another $10 on new titles may be notably jealous of their Norwegian friend who got away with this amazing deal.

Bubble Bobble 4 Friends: The Baron is Back! will surely keep players entertained for hours since the game has double the number of levels as compared to the previous title. As such, players have to do everything they can to evade the Baron all while fending off the other monsters present in the stage.

Bubble Bobble 4 Friends was initially released in March of this year, and it was a Nintendo Switch exclusive during that time. Now, this upcoming title is set to release on both the PlayStation 4 and the Nintendo Switch, so more fans will be able to experience this enjoyable, bubble-bursting game.

Sadly, we’re still waiting for more information regarding this upcoming VR experience. For now, though, we can all look forward to reuniting with the Baron this November 17.

PlayStation 5 Will Not Have An Internet Browser

It has been confirmed that Sony’s next-gen console – the PlayStation 5 – will not have a dedicated internet browser, despite both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 having the feature. In addition, the PlayStation 5 will also be missing 1440p resolution support. Both announcements were confirmed during an interview with Hideaki Nishino, Sony’s Senior Vice President of Platform Planning and Management.

The PlayStation 5 will be releasing this week but both intricate details have just been revealed today. In the last couple of weeks, the weak points of the PlayStation 5 have been documented from its supposed overheating problem to its low SSD storage space. Both problems have gotten their fair share of criticism from the gaming community and now it appears the problems are continuing with this latest interview.

ps5-web-browser-no-included-8445420

In a Japanese language interview shared and transcribed by Nibellion on Twitter, Hideaki Nishino revealed:

“Currently, we do not intend to install a web browser on PS5. Of course, I use it as a component to use various network functions, but I have doubts about whether a web browser is required for game consoles as an application,”

While the PlayStation head sounded like the developers are open to maybe adding an internet browser in the near future, he also added that:

Since it is necessary to take measures against child switches, it will take some man-hours to install a web browser.

In the same interview, Nishino detailed intricately about the console’s beginning and why particular things were altered and other features removed altogether, like its support for 1440p resolution. When questioned, Nishino replied that he wanted to give top priority to TV support.

Nishino didn’t explain further about the reasoning behind pulling out the internet browser from the next-gen console, although it seems that not too many players are disappointed by the news. However, several Twitter users indicated that the PlayStation 4’s internet browser is an exploitable weak point that hackers can take advantage of. By taking out the browser, it is possible that Sony has made the PlayStation 5 at least a bit safer.

Although, if this is really the case, then it is peculiar that Nishino would state his comments in a way that makes it appear as if the developers are open to someday adding an internet browser back. Of course, his response could simply be a way to tell fans that the browser is not returning, without deliberately saying no, as he has previously been unclear about the future of the PSVR on the PlayStation 5.

Regardless, players will be able to determine if the internet browser application will be missed later this week as the PlayStation 5 will be released in select regions on November 12.

Valorant’s Observer Mode Gets Updated in Patch 1.12

0
emjy5lawmais16f

Patch 1.12 of Valorant has officially been launched, which is a significantly lighter update compared to the previous 1.11 patch that was hit with instability issues and a multitude of bugs.

After rolling back patch 1.11 and then redeploying it at a later date, Riot Games has learned from its mistakes and has taken the necessary steps to ensure that everything will go smoothly going forward.

Instead of forgoing patch 1.12 altogether, Riot Games decided to simply release a lightweight update. That being said, the main focus of this update is Valorant’s observer mode, as this tool has received a couple of improvements.

Match observers are especially useful in professional games, as they are the ones who flip through the game’s “camera” from player to player, bearing witness to epic, action-filled fights between the two parties.

Thanks to this latest update, observers can no longer hear the sound the ping makes in-game. Not only that, but their visibility has been greatly improved while in “well-lit” areas. When spectating a match, observers will now appear as “in game” to their friends.

On the other hand, custom games will allow observers to read and send messages in the ‘all’ chatroom. Among other things, game moderators will now be able to make changes to particular game elements like money and stats during competitive matches thanks to the new Game State Modification cheat.

In addition to that, players will be happy to know that the open/close party toggle has been made simpler. Riot Games decided to roll back a feature in patch 1.11 wherein team colors were fixed.

This is because this particular feature was “causing some confusion” with regards to team colors. More specifically, Valorant’s patch notes state that individuals “have started to associate red with attack, and green with defense.”

That being said, Riot Games still plans on utilizing this feature once more some time in the future. For now, though, this will be rolled back indefinitely. Not only that, but players also encountered a bug in patch 1.11 wherein some parts of Valorant would display the wrong colors, which would understandably cause confusion.

Image

Fortunately, the arrival of patch 1.12 brings with it several bug fixes that were brought about by the last patch. For instance, players no longer have to worry about receiving the VAL-51 error after leaving a custom match.

In addition to that, players who make use of the left-handed view model should notice that the recoil has been updated and will show the correct orientation this time around.

Another glitch that has been fixed in patch 1.12 has to do with Cypher. Previously, Cypher had a glitch wherein his Spycam would float in midair as well as attach itself to falling weapons. Fortunately, players no longer have to worry about this issue.

Even though patch 1.12 isn’t as heavy as other patches, there’s still a pretty high chance that Riot Games will skip the next patch that has been scheduled. At the moment, the next patch is expected to go live on December 8. It should arrive shortly after the beginning of the First Strike regional finals.

Lil Nas X Will Perform in Roblox In-Game Concert

Roblox is collaborating with Grammy award-winning rapper Lil Nas X to hold a virtual in-game concert experience. Roblox has gradually become one of the largest and most successful games ever since its release in 2006.

The game has grown even more over the past few years, with its gaming community reaching more than 150 million active users, a fifty percent increase over the past year, and its community of developers is set to make more than $250 million collectively this year, more than double of what they earned in 2019.

In-game virtual concerts and other identical music collaborations have become progressively famous over the past few months because of the social distancing measures and implementation of quarantines.

Travis Scott held a virtual musical performance in Fortnite a few months ago which was attended simultaneously by more than 12 million players. Since then, Epic Games – Fortnite’s developer – has scheduled more in-game concerts and even launched a Party Royale mode committed to virtual gatherings and concerts. Just a few weeks ago, famous K-pop group BTS debuted one of their song’s music videos inside Fortnite’s Party Royale.

As for the Roblox concert featuring Lil Nas X, the information on the multiday event was revealed via a post on the game’s official website. The event is set to start on November 13, with a preshow where players can watch behind the scenes clips from the making of the concert and an exclusive Q&A session.

The main concert will be held on November 14, which will be accompanied by two encore performances for watchers from other time zones and areas such as Europe and Asia. Lil Nas X will be performing through his motion-captured avatar a couple of his most popular songs and will also debut his latest single during the concert.

Players who will participate in the preshow can join in an exclusive in-game scavenger hunt to unlock a limited Lil Nas X emote. Players can also participate in the event happening right now to be able to buy exclusive Lil Nas X in-game merchandise, including shoulder pads and wings, which their avatars can equip.

According to the game’s developers, these items will only be available for a limited time, with more being launched daily leading up to the event, so players who are interested in getting them should go get it as early as now.

These in-game virtual concerts are becoming a great choice in enjoying watching artists perform live on stream and games such as Minecraft, Fortnite, and Roblox are making these experiences not only possible but also very much enjoyable.

These events also consequently improve the interest and visibility in the games themselves so it isn’t shocking that even Roblox has joined the bandwagon after Minecraft and Fortnite’s success with them.

New Gameplay Features Added to Phasmophobia Following Update

0
screenshot-www-youtube-com-2020-11-11-14_59_20

More often than not, Kinetic Games releases Phasmophobia updates that help fix the many bugs and glitches currently present in the game. However, it appears that the latest update that got released last November 9 added much more than just bug fixes.

More specifically, Kinetic Games has included two new gameplay features in Phasmophobia that will make the players’ experience more immersive and thrilling. That being said, don’t expect that the ghost hunting title has changed drastically because it hasn’t.

The gameplay is more or less the same as before, but the fact that Kinetic Games founder Dknighter has included these new elements means that the game is slowly being fleshed out just as initially planned.

The first addition is a new objective for players to try and achieve in the process of studying and finding the entity haunting a certain household. The task is to sprinkle some salt on the floor, and your goal is to get the ghost to pass through the salt.

As for the second addition, dead players can now pretend to be the entity that killed them by picking stuff up and then throwing them around. This will surely make things scarier for the players who are still alive as they try and cross out all the objectives.

Asides from the game’s Steam page, the official Phasmophobia Twitter account also shares game updates. Although if you want more information regarding the complete patch notes, Phasmophobia has a Discord server where you can check the game’s changelog.

Similar to previous patches, this latest one has a bunch of fixes as well. Asides from that though, some of the existing features have been updated and improved. For instance, the ghost photo daily challenge will be completed for all participating players even though only one player will take the photos.

Without a doubt, Dknighter has a lot of other things planned for Phasmophobia, so you can expect the introduction of new mechanics in the near future. Although, the developer decided to extend the Early Access state of the game due to its unexpected success.

As such, he plans on further refining and improving the game during this indefinite period of time by squashing as many bugs and glitches as possible all while including new features and content at the same time.

screenshot-www-youtube-com-2020-11-11-15_00_13

If you’re interested to see what Kinetic Games has planned for the future of Phasmophobia, Dknighter has set up a public Trello board containing every planned update and addition to the game.

That being said, it’s best to remember that not everything you see listed on the board will be added to the game, just like the PvP mode that was recently scrapped by the developer. If this mode pushed through though, players would have been given the chance to control the ghosts instead of AI.

We don’t think Dknighter removing initial plans will be a common occurrence though, as Dknighter only included the PvP mode concept to see how fans would react. Still, it’s interesting to see which plans will push through and which ones won’t.

Release Date Finally Announced for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot DLC 2

screenshot-www-youtube-com-2020-11-11-11_48_53

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot fans have been on the lookout for the game’s upcoming second DLC, and now Bandai Namco has finally revealed the release date. Even though many fans were disappointed with the publisher for the lack of communication on their part, the fanbase is still brimming with excitement following this announcement.

If you haven’t been keeping up with the whole Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot DLC controversy, Bandai Namco has been receiving a lot of criticism from fans recently because it has remained silent for several months regarding the progress of the expansion.

While fans were naturally frustrated at first, they seem to be relieved now that Bandai Namco has finally broken its silence. Excited players can finally battle it out with Golden Frieza and his minions this November 17.

Among other things, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot DLC 2 also features Goku and Vegeta’s Super Saiyan Blue form, which players will be able to utilize. We speculate that when maxed out, these Blue forms will give a 250% boost to all the stats. If this is the case, then it’s highly likely that these two Saiyans will be extremely powerful characters in the game’s roster.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot has been known to not follow patterns when it comes to its DLCs. This time around, however, it appears that the game followed one. More specifically, the second DLC is scheduled to release one week after the announcement was made. The same thing happened with the first DLC.

That being said, this still doesn’t provide fans with enough information if they wish to predict the release date of the third DLC. However, there’s a high chance that it will have a release window of Summer 2021 if the developer remains at the same pacing.

In any case, no official announcements have been made regarding that, so we’ll just have to remain patient. After all, DLC 2 hasn’t even been released yet, so it’s better if we look forward to that instead.

There’s a lot to be excited about in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot DLC 2. If you take a peek at the gameplay screenshots posted by Twitter user DbsHype, you might notice that both Golden Frieza and Vegeta are at level 170.

screenshot-www-youtube-com-2020-11-11-13_11_42

Based on this, we can infer that players will most likely experience different versions of the Golden Frieza battle similar to Beerus. That being said, we have yet to find out if there will be a level cap increase once this DLC goes live.

However, players should still be able to fight Golden Frieza at the level cap as well as at level 170, like in the screenshots, since a lot of players have already reached level 250 at this point. Overall, the frustration and disappointment that the fans felt a while ago have been replaced with relief and excitement.

It’s really impressive how loyal the fanbase is towards Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, since their dedication didn’t waver even though they had to wait for such a long time for any news regarding DLC 2.

The timing of the DLC’s release is pretty strange though. After all, the highly-anticipated next-gen consoles are going to be released this week, so this could potentially distract fans from the DLC’s release.

The Rock Partners With Microsoft To Give Free Xbox Series X Consoles To Children’s Hospitals

yt_thumb_ix_1920x1080_gamersandrock_1_jpg

Microsoft is partnering with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson to give away Xbox Series X consoles to children’s hospitals all over the United States. The Rock had a very prominent pro wrestling career, and more recently, as an actor who’s played in some popular Hollywood films such as Hobbs & Shaw and Moana.

The Xbox Series X released worldwide today and fans are already waiting eagerly to get one inside their homes. Supplies of the new system have never been sufficient, preorders sold out instantly, and Xbox CEO Phil Spencer believes supplies won’t catch up with the demand for the next couple of months after its release.

This means fans will possibly have to wait until next year before they can pick up Microsoft’s new console. With the release date tangible enough to touch, fans are panicking to secure a copy, and sellers are scurrying to provide one. GameStop has stated that it will even have units physically in-store during release day, in admittedly limited supply.

xbox_the_rock-1048x630-3914282

While gaming enthusiasts clamber to prepare for release day, Microsoft and Dwayne Johnson have set aside some Xbox Series X for a very special reason. As revealed on the famous entertainer’s official Instagram account, The Rock will be giving out special edition “The Rock” consoles to twenty children’s hospitals all over the United States.

With the aid of charity organization Gamers Outreach, these systems will be integrated into special portable go-karts that will make it simpler for over 50,000 hospitalized kids to enjoy the next generation of gaming technology. The special consoles will feature a message from the actor himself as well as his signature.

This is a generous act from The Rock and it’s apparent that it isn’t just a publicity stunt. He mentioned in his Instagram post that “stuff like this will always be the best part of my fame.” This will certainly be a blessing for the children since a lot of fans would probably pay huge amounts of cash for an Xbox Series X signed by the actor himself.

Xbox Series X review: A 4K beast in need of games | Engadget

The Xbox Series X is establishing a trend of super exclusive consoles including an exclusive system designed to mirror Claptrap the robot from Borderlands. None of these alternate designs are quite as unique as The Rock’s Xbox Series X consoles, though.

Currently, the Xbox Series X is difficult to come by across the world and a successful preorder is the result of luck as much as the result of anything else. With this said, one could barely complain about these systems not going to the market just like the rest. The Rock’s exclusive Xbox Series X consoles are going to a good cause, and they are certainly to be enjoyed by a lot of kids.

New Genshin Impact Promo Code Offers Free Primogems and Hero’s Wit

screenshot-blog-playstation-com-2020-11-11-10_48_47

The highly-awaited Genshin Impact 1.1 update brings with it improvements as well as a variety of new characters that you can attempt to acquire through the game’s Wish system. The first event banner under the 1.1 update was recently announced. Entitled “Farewell of Snezhnaya“, the new banner features the five-star Childe and the four-star Diona.

That being said, players need to have Primogems if they want to make a Wish, and it seems that miHoYo has players’ backs. The developer recently released a new promotional code that will give adventurers a little surprise to help them on their journey.

More specifically, using the new code will give you 50 Primogems as well as 3 Hero’s Wit. These items will definitely be of use to those who want to summon new characters and level them up as fast as possible.

Redeeming the code is fast and simple: head on over to Genshin Impact’s website and click on the “Redeem Code” page, which can be found on the rightmost side of the list of links. After logging in, you can proceed to type in GENSHINGIFT in order to receive the freebies. You can use this very same code no matter what server you’re on.

genshin_01_4k-3530447

For those players who don’t want to spend any money, coming across Primogems can get harder the higher your Adventure Rank levels get. Although this might seem like players will have no choice but to inevitably fork out money on the game in order to continue enjoying it, there are some players who have shared tips and guides for quickly farming Primogems.

While it’s entirely possible to experience Genshin Impact as a completely free-to-play game, it appears that there are many players who don’t mind using their hard-earned money on this open-world RPG.

As a matter of fact, a recent report says that Genshin Impact accumulated nearly $245 million in player spending during its first month alone on mobile platforms. As a result, the Chinese title is considered to be the second most successful mobile game, with Pokemon Go at the forefront at $283 million.

That being said, there are many things to like about Genshin Impact asides from its addictive gacha system. For instance, a lot of players have said that they find its overall gameplay to be quite enjoyable, especially with its relaxing music and charming visuals.

2020111111015259838-8827848

It has gotten so popular that Genshin Impact was even nominated as a part of Google Play’s Users’ Choice Games of 2020. Without a doubt, the game has found success on all its platforms, and miHoYo was able to create a dedicated fanbase across the globe.

The real test, however, starts now: how will Genshin Impact fare over the years and will it be as successful in the future as it is today? It all depends on how the developer will proceed with the game going forward.

However, given the fact that miHoYo is pretty transparent with their plans for the game’s future along with the steady stream of updates, we wouldn’t be surprised if Genshin Impact remains relevant for years to come.

Dead by Daylight Adds New Killers in DLC Expansion

0
screenshot-www-youtube-com-2020-11-11-09_51_15

Dead by Daylight has a terrifying roster full of memorable killers from iconic horror movies. However, developer Behaviour Interactive is quite fond of putting its creativity on display by including its own set of original killers in the game.

There’s already a variety of original killers in Dead by Daylight at the moment, which goes to show how the team behind this survival horror game has a lot of hair-raising ideas — from the horrifying Plague and the recent Blight, to the Oni from Japanese folklore.

That being said, it appears that Behaviour Interactive has more original killers up its sleeve, as the studio has announced the new “A Binding of Kin” expansion. This new expansion brings with it a new survivor as well as new killers in the form of “The Twins.”

The announcement came with a new cinematic reveal trailer, which showcases the grotesque duo and their capabilities. Since this upcoming addition comes as a pair, you might be wondering how one player can control two killers simultaneously.

Well, the trailer gives us an idea about how Dead by Daylight will pull this off. The reveal trailer begins with two survivors attempting to open a chest, but given how the bushes in the background keep rustling and the crows keep cawing, it’s clear that the two aren’t alone.

Suddenly, a child-sized monster leaps out of nowhere and lands right on one of the survivors. While it claws and attacks him, his partner was fortunate enough to find a hiding spot where she can look on in horror.

Shortly after, another creature makes its way to the scene, only this time it looks more like an adult, unlike the first monster. This new arrival has a huge hole in its chest and is holding a sickle in his right hand, which he uses to finish off the struggling survivor.

After killing him off, the small creature climbs up the body of the other and situates itself inside the gaping wound in its chest. A truly grotesque nightmare. Despite being a pair, the trailer indicates that they basically just work as one killer.

From our understanding, the smaller twin can be used to debilitate survivors, while the bigger one finishes the job.

screenshot-www-youtube-com-2020-11-11-10_29_08

This new pair, without a doubt, adds a whole new dynamic to Dead by Daylight, and will most likely result in intense matches. As previously mentioned, a new survivor named Élodie Rakoto will be joining the roster of playable characters as well.

The addition of a new killer and survivor to Dead by Daylight feels like a good move on Behaviour Interactive’s part, especially since the horror title is confirmed to be ported to the Xbox Series X and the PlayStation 5 upon launch this week.

These new consoles will reportedly bring all kinds of adjustments and improvements to the game, such as faster load times, an overhauled game map, as well as improved visuals. Given this information, it’s safe to say that developer Behaviour Interactive wants to provide the best experience to its next-gen console players.
