Pro Shredders Keep Identity Thieves Away from Your Home

0

People today are all too aware of high-profile threats, like getting hacked. Cybersecurity is a popular topic of conversation, and the media writes about it seemingly every day. However, sensitive information getting into the wrong hands can do you in, whether it’s obtained through digital or non-digital means.

Calling a professional shredder to destroy the data liabilities in your home is the surest way to know you’re safe from identity thieves. Thankfully, the services couldn’t be more convenient. Continue reading to learn more about how they work.

Home Paper Shredding

We may run our lives through our smartphones, but every home has papers containing information that must be kept confidential. Identity thieves don’t care if they get your sensitive data by non-digital means, so long as they have it.

Here are a few types of paper documents that people commonly have lying around the home that can’t get into the wrong hands:

  • Banking records
  • Papers containing passwords and usernames
  • Social insurance info
  • Tax filings
  • Diaries or documents containing personal secrets

If these papers are essential, then keep them tightly guarded. But the safer thing to do is have them shredded by a professional. Industry leaders like Absolute Destruction can come right to your home and shred your papers directly from the curbside.

Their mobile shredding truck is designed to safely eliminate small-medium loads of paper. For larger jobs, they’ll still come right to your location to pick up all your papers. But their truck will transport your paper liabilities to their facility, where they will be securely destroyed.

Paper documents can’t just be tossed into the garbage, where they can still get read. Professional shredders make it impossible for an identity thief to recover any information those papers once stored. Plus, the best professionals recycle all paper responsibly, lowering your carbon footprint.

Shredding Electronics

In 2021, even the biggest Luddite has sensitive information stored on an electronic device of some kind. Do you have old electronics lying around that you aren’t using? Maybe you work out of a home office, or you’ve been working there more as of late.

Devices have all kinds of storage capacity, and even a megabyte of sensitive information in the wrong hands can be enough to help an identity thief drain your bank account or extort or blackmail you. Professional shredders have the tools necessary to pulverize the microchips on the devices, so identity thieves can’t possibly retrieve the information they once stored.

As with paper, the best pro shredders go out of their way to safely recycle all electronic components. Sometimes, electronics contain toxins that require sensitive handling. Whether you need home shredding or commercial shredding, the best professionals keep you secure and Green.

It’s good that news stories about hacks have made people proactive about safeguarding their cybersecurity, but don’t let digital threats make you complacent about non-digital risks. Call a professional shredder today to ensure the paper and electronic liabilities in your home are destroyed, so identity thieves can’t obtain your sensitive information.

Displayed PlayStation 5 Overheats Inside A Best Buy Store

maxresdefault-48

One PlayStation 5 that has been on display at a Best Buy branch suffered from overheating issues and customers were quick to take a photo and upload it to the internet. In the lead-up to reviews of the next-gen consoles, it was Microsoft’s Xbox Series X that faced criticisms of overheating problems, but these problems were dismissed once players got more hands-on time with the new machine.

Both consoles have much more impressive components compared to their predecessors, and they have been designed with sophisticated systems in order to keep the whole console functioning properly. Like PC towers, these next-gen consoles will need air, and it appears that even sellers will have to adapt to the new facet of next-gen gaming.

Not a lot of next-gen prospect buyers will likely be going to their local Best Buy stores in the coming weeks. Sony and other retailers have confirmed that the PlayStation 5 will only be available for purchase on release day.

This, plus the existing coronavirus pandemic that has forced a lot of people to shop online, means that the classic tradition of displaying consoles on store windows will not achieve the advertising success it once was.

Several years ago, most gamers saw new consoles and games for the first time in local department stores’ gaming corners. Today, players can only depend on their favorite online influencers and celebrities unbox and handle the new hardware weeks ahead of any local retailer displays.

As originally posted by Xzyliac on Twitter, a PlayStation 5 that was at display at a Best Buy store was suffering from overheating problems. Xzyliac mentioned that the consoles were placed within display boxes, which most likely would have caused the problem for the PlayStation 5 considering their resemblance to PC towers.

71606_7_report-playstation-5-overheating-issues-causing-sony-to-panic_full-9297585

The display unit clearly also drove home the console’s massive size, which has been a controversial point among individuals who have seen the actual console in person. As the PlayStation 5 was sealed in a display box, it was up to Best Buy stuff to power cycle the machine, or perhaps leave the door open for better airflow.

Neither Microsoft nor Sony wants gaming enthusiasts to begin thinking that their systems will burn itself up like the Xbox 360 once they arrive in people’s homes. Still, the sheer number of vents on both next-gen consoles suggests that the cooling effect behind every console’s plastic shell is a serious business.

The fact that Best Buy didn’t think of this situation speaks up to what has been a hurried console launch cycle in general, as the current year has been filled with bizarre timetables and compromises that continue to unwrap as the months go on. The fact that both next-gen consoles are releasing this year is still a miracle.

So, will Sony’s PlayStation 5 have overheating issues when it releases later this month? It is possible but highly unlikely. Unlike Best Buy’s display boxes, consoles will not be enclosed in prisons once in gamer’s homes, and a TV stand is already designed for systems that need to vent heat.

The Tekken franchise has been around for quite a long time now, and so it unsurprisingly has a huge fanbase at this point. These fans will be happy to know that Bandai Namco will be releasing the fourth season pass of Tekken 7 very soon.

The trailer for the Season Pass 4 was released earlier in September, and back then the only information about its release window was a vague Fall 2020. Now, however, the Tekken Project team has finally revealed the release date for the fourth season pass.

According to a tweet posted by the official Tekken Twitter account, Tekken 7 Season Pass 4 will be going live this upcoming November 10 and it will be jampacked with all kinds of new content.

Some examples of the new additions to the game is a new stage with a Japanese theme called Vermilion Gates, as well as the highly anticipated new character, Kunimitsu, the “Manji Ninja Arts” user.

https://twitter.com/TEKKEN/status/1325116607513890816?s=20

She will be a new playable fighter in Tekken’s roster, which is always an exciting thing. In addition to that, Kunimitsu will have three unique costumes for players to choose from. That being said, this wouldn’t be the first time that Kunimitsu made an appearance in Tekken, although her inclusion in Tekken 7 will be her first appearance since 1995’s Tekken 2.

Fans will also be happy to know that they will be able to benefit from numerous updates beginning this November 9. All the available characters in Tekken 7 will have new moves along with balance changes.

Not only that, some parts of the game will have updated UIs, such as the health bars that you see during a match as well as the menus. This time around, the developer will be focusing on improving the online play of Tekken.

There will be new ranking introduced as well, and players will be able to make their way to a new rank known as “Tekken God Omega.” Among other things, the new trailer also showcased the celebration of Pac-Man‘s 40th anniversary.

As such, you willd find that Tekken 7 Season Pass 4 will include a themed arena stage that will have a Pac-Man statue in the background. There’s more, though – players will also have access to exclusive in-game items such as UI skins, t-shirts, and plushies.

screenshot-www-youtube-com-2020-11-09-09_39_01

That being said, other popular names have celebrated the 40th anniversary of the arcade icon as well. For instance, the virtual band known as The Gorillaz has released a Pac-Man song along with a music video. Hasbro also participated in the festivities by creating a unique edition of Monopoly that features an arcade cabinet.

Tekken fans have a lot of things to look forward to in this season pass asides from Kunimitsu. The Tekken Project team has also confirmed at the end of the new trailer that fans can look forward to a new character and stage for the second half of the season pass, which will be released in the spring of 2021.

Despite being such a long-standing game, Tekken is still well-loved by many in the video game community. In fact, the series has sold over 50 million copies overall. As such, fans will still surely gobble up all this new Tekken content.

New Genshin Impact Trailer Introduces Diona

While many in the video game community are holding their breaths for the upcoming release of the Xbox Series X and the PlayStation 5 this week, the Genshin Impact community is also looking forward to something exciting.

This week on November 11, miHoYo has big plans and that is to release the highly-anticipated 1.1. update. This new patch for the free-to-play RPG will bring with it all kinds of new features, along with four new characters.

To further whet the fans’ appetite, miHoYo has released a brand-new character demo trailer introducing Diona, one of the new characters that will be added to the game. The video tells you all about Diona’s background, as well as gives a few details about what can be expected of her if or when she gets added to your team.

Diona will be utilizing the Cryo element, and one noteworthy thing about her character is that she will be the first bow user to use this element.

She’s a bartender at a Mondstadt bar called The Cat’s Tail, and she’s fond of informing players that both her ears and tail are not props. As a matter of fact, these unique features of hers indicate that she has Kätzlein heritage.

As expected, given her background in mixology, she has abilities that appear to be largely inspired by bartending. For instance, one of Diona’s abilities has her throwing an icy mixer that will deal a huge amount of Cryo damage.

That being said, Diona is only one character out of the four that will be coming to Genshin Impact thanks to the upcoming 1.1 update. Asides from Diona, who is only a 4-star character, two 5-star characters named Zhongli and Childe will be introduced as well.

They may be familiar to dedicated Genshin Impact fans, as both of these characters played vital roles during the Liyue story arc. At the moment, fans speculate that Childe will be the first character to be included in the upcoming special banner event.

These theories are believed to have stemmed from a series of leaked images that were posted on the Genshin Impact Reddit. However, we have yet to see an official announcement or confirmation from developer miHoYo.

screenshot-www-youtube-com-2020-11-09-08_42_33

Asides from new characters, Genshin Impact’s 1.1 update will introduce new features as well as a couple of quality of life adjustments. The action roleplaying game will be implementing a new reputation system, which you have to unlock first.

After doing so, you will be able to make use of a variety of enhancements in-game, like the ability to utilize new gadgets such as a portable teleport waypoint. Although, you have to keep in mind that you will be rewarded with different things the more you increase your reputation level.

To increase your standing, you will need to participate in weekly quests and bounties. With this constant addition of new features and a steady stream of new characters, we wouldn’t be surprised if miHoYo’s Genshin Impact will remain a beloved game by various players for many years to come.

PlayStation 5 PreOrders Are Totally Sold Out In Japan

All PlayStation 5 preorder allocations in Japan have been grabbed up and Sony states that they have temporarily stopped accepting early reservations in the country at the time. With only a few days left until the next-gen console launches in Japan, and in many other countries like the United States, hype for the next generation of consoles is extremely high. This revelation made by Sony will leave some Japanese fans without any way to get a hold of the PlayStation 5 on launch day.

Along with this announcement, Sony once again mentioned another piece of the launch policy of the company that is making headlines. In a tweet posted yesterday on the PlayStation official Twitter account, the gaming giant announced that the PlayStation 5 will not be available physically in stores on November 12 or November 19 depending on the country – the release days of the console. Specifying safety concerns for customers and store employees, Sony has opted that the console will only be available for online orders on release day.

As reported by reputable industry expert @Nibellion on Twitter, Sony revealed in an official, Japanese blog post that the country’s preorders are totally sold out. It also appears that the company is declining to take any additional PlayStation 5 orders in the region before release.

In one translated edition of the blog, Sony stated it received a huge amount of interest in its next-gen consoles before the launch and it anticipates continuing shipping the PlayStation 5 in the future. The post also warned Japanese fans that there will be no consoles available physically in stores on launch day and encourages them to check back with individual stores for more details on the PlayStation 5’s availability in the future.

This has been a strenuous year for gamers attempting to reserve first day consoles in general, but the PlayStation 5 surely earned its share of problems following its first, confusing wave of preorders. Most of the frustration was apparently directed at Sony’s absence of communication as the company has vowed to remind its fans in advance of the console becoming available.

The company did not commit to this promise as sellers started placing units up on their websites in a gradual fashion the day before Sony said the system would be available for preorder. It is possible that Japanese gamers who didn’t have the chance to secure a preorder but are still expecting to get the PlayStation 5 will be disappointed with this news.

A lot of interesting announcements are coming out about the PlayStation 5 and its release titles leading up to the launch date such as the newly posted Spider-Man Miles Morales commercial, and fans unable to get in on the action on day one will be frustrated. Hopefully, Sony will have enough units available after release day for all fans without a preorder, but that remains to be seen.

Apex Legends Mobile Port Delayed By EA

Apex Legends is one of the most famous battle royale titles in the market today, and with EA witnessing the success of battle royales on mobile devices, it just makes sense that the developer would want to integrate the game on the platform. However, EA’s CEO revealed that Apex Legends’ mobile port has been delayed, with a new launch date window provided.

The original release date of Apex Legends on mobile was scheduled for late 2020, however, it has become gradually clear as the months go by that the game will not be able to meet the launch date. As such, EA has chosen to be a bit less tight-lipped about the project, as EA head Andrew Wilson revealed that Apex Legends’ mobile edition has been pushed back. In a part of EA’s website explaining quarterly earnings, the postponement was officially disclosed, and the mobile game was confirmed to have a new expected completion date of early 2021.

Wilson then mentioned that the game will arrive sometime in the 2022 fiscal year, which is a long period from October 2021 to September 2022. While Apex Legends is certainly a ways off for mobile players, confirmation that it is still coming and on track to finish development soon is heartening. There will apparently be a few new features in the mobile edition of Apex Legends, though it’s uncertain what features, if any, will be lacking from the main game.

With Apex Legends recently debuting on Steam, EA looks to be doing everything they can to get the Respawn battle royale played by as many fans as possible. With Apex Legends regularly being updated with new content and balance changes like other similar games in the competition, it is probable that the game will maintain much of its fan base and fame for some time in the future. The possible release of a mobile port will only let Apex Legends ecosystem improve further, and it is a clever move to help provide the game with a new perspective.

Both Fortnite and PUBG have demonstrated how successful mobile editions of PC and console battle royales can be and it is simple to see why EA would like to mirror that triumph with Apex Legends. Call of Duty is another high-quality game to successfully shift to mobile devices, with the title’s many accomplishments making Activision Blizzard want more mobile games for all its main franchises.

While EA might not be looking to go quite this far yet, the launch of Apex Legends on Android and iOS devices makes a lot of sense from a financial standpoint. With Apex Legends right on track to earn $1 billion for EA this year, it is impossible that the company stops supporting the game anytime soon. If there is a gaming platform launched without Apex Legends playable on it, it is safe to say that it will not remain that way for too long.

Make yourself better with Instagram masslooking

0

Some attentive Instagram users may have noticed that their Stories are viewed by bloggers and various famous personalities.

More and more often you can see screenshots in publications, where profiles of popular people are visible in the list of those who have viewed “stories”.  And in general, many have noticed an increase in views of stories from unfamiliar profiles.

All these facts have a simple explanation: masslooking – a new way to promote an Instagram account – is actively gaining popularity.

Masslooking is the automatic viewing of Instagram users’ Stories using certain software or services.  The logic of masslooking is similar to the logic of automated likes and subscriptions, but is focused on multiple views of “stories”.

So, the majority of Instagram users pay attention to the “stories”, not the feed.  And there are two objective reasons for this:

  1. Saving time.  Scrolling through 15-90 seconds of Stories is faster, and interesting profiles are displayed first.
  1. Interest.  Retouched and too beautiful pictures in the feed are already boring, so “live” Stories are in the TOP.

Why masslooking is effective

In the summer of 2016, a new post format became available to Instagram users – Instagram Stories.  And we are now interested in the fact that this format was gaining popularity extremely quickly and, as a result, began to be used more often than classic publications in the feed.  “Stories” disappear one day after publication.  Due to this, you can not focus on retouching and careful processing of photos.  This is content with a limited lifespan, and fleetingness is the main thing.

However, users are still interested in the social component: many quite rightly want to know how many people are watching their “stories”, as well as who exactly is viewing them.  As a result, most users regularly check statistics by scrolling through the list of their “viewers”.  And if a user sees a new account in this list (especially if the account is not explicitly registered as a commercial one), then it is quite natural for him to have an interest and desire to look into this profile.  Of course, not every user will pay attention to this and go to check something.

But masslooking allows you to view tens of thousands of Stories every day, so 1% of users who have switched to an account will already be more than enough.  That is why SMM specialists immediately saw the prospect in this method of promotion, and promotion services began to offer the option of masslooking to everyone.  One of the market leaders – storieviews.com – has already tested such a tool on its platform and presented it to the general public.  New tools for promotion on Instagram regularly appear in this service.

Two New Suits Revealed for Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered

maxresdefault-29-2

Two new Spidey suits have been announced by PlayStation for its upcoming Spider-Man Remastered game set to be released on the PlayStation 5. Initially launched for the PlayStation 4 last 2018, Marvel’s Spider-Man quickly became one of the bestselling games of Sony.

On its launch month alone, it outsold every Spider-Man game combined in the same sales period by a whopping thirty-seven percent. Provided those numbers, it’s no surprise that Marvel and Sony want to welcome the new generation of gaming with a remastered edition of the hit game.

Insomniac Games confirmed that Spider-Man Remastered will be coming to the PlayStation 5 in a bundle via the Spider-Man Miles Morales Ultimate Edition last September, and have since released a couple of new videos of the game showcasing its next-gen visuals.

The trailers were met with criticisms initially, as the face of Peter Parker looked to be considerably changed in the new game footage. Most fans who posted their sentiments on social media seemed to be based on feelings that the developers were being too affected by the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and that this new-faced Peter Parker had an extraordinary resemblance with Tom Holland.

Insomniac Games since released an announcement saying that these rumors weren’t true, and the new facial design for Peter parker was a choice made absolutely to provide more believable looking characters.

As the age of the PlayStation 5 draws even closer, players are being treated to more teasers and reveal from Marvel and Sony. Their latest revelation is two Spidey suits for the remastered title.

Introducing the two new suits on Twitter, PlayStation UK provided fans their first glance at the Armored Advance and Arachnid Rider suits. Both appear immensely stylish, with Peter Parker’s trademark blue and red still being featured heavily in the design of the Arachnid Rider suit. On the other hand, the white part of the Armored Advanced suit shows a striking resemblance to the classic Armored Suit from the comic book series.

For fans that have not been able to get a PlayStation 5 preorder, all is not lost. PlayStation has confirmed that these Spidey suits will also be accessible on the PlayStation 4 version of the game. With this said, gamers on the next-gen console will most probably have access to the new suits earlier than those who are still playing on the PlayStation 4.

With only a few days left to go until the launch of the PlayStation 5, fans don’t have to wait much longer until they can swing across the streets of New York again. While it’s frustrating for most that Spider-Man Remastered can only be played with its new visuals if bought along with Miles Morales, these new Spidey suits will again become another alluring incentive from Sony for fans to swing back into the Spiderverse once more.

Battlefield 6 Is Franchise’s Largest Game Yet, Launching Holiday 2021

0
maxresdefault-28-2

Battlefield 6 will have the biggest scope of any title in the long-running franchise and is scheduled to be launched in next year’s holiday season. Publisher EA Games announced that the next game in the Battlefield franchise would be launched next year after it revealed that Battlefield 5 and Star Wars Battlefront 2, both developed by DICE, would be getting their final content updates before this year ends.

The latest game in the franchise, Battlefield 5, was tarnished with problems from the day it was launched. The game not only felt unfinished, with its tiny map roster and an overabundance of glitches but succeeding updates were extremely inconsistent and most pledged features never came into the game such as its 5v5 competitive mode.

Even its take at a battle royale mode, called Firestorm, wasn’t safe from its own set of problems. The life cycle of Battlefield 5 was so chaotic that its final content update was launched just last summer, more than a year before the upcoming game in the franchise is expected to launch.

With the release of the next-gen consoles, it appears like DICE and EA are expecting to revive the Battlefield franchise. In EA’s most recent earnings call, the company CEO Andrew Wilson provided several information on some of their plans for 2021 and beyond.

Based on the report, the next Battlefield game is currently in development at DICE and will feature “never before seen scale.” Wilson also added that the next-gen consoles are providing the studio the chance to produce their “next-gen vision” for the franchise.

“DICE is creating our next Battlefield game with a never-before-seen scale. The technical advancements of the new consoles are allowing the team to deliver on a true next-gen vision for the franchise. We have hands-on play testing underway internally, and the team’s been getting very positive feedback on the game as we’ve begun to engage our community. The next Battlefield is set to launch in holiday 2021, and we are excited to share a lot more about the game in the spring.”

According to Wilson, Battlefield 6’s internal playtesting is already ongoing and that response on the game has been all positive so far. With the title set to release sometime later next year, the company is planning to share more details of its next Battlefield game in spring next year.

According to EA, Battlefield 6 will be one of six next-gen games, which also includes a new Need for Speed game, which the company intends to release during its 2022 fiscal year, which runs between April 2021 and March 2022.

It’s irrefutable that Battlefield 5 was the most frustrating addition in the franchise for a lot of fans, and both DICE and EA have a lot to prove with Battlefield 6 if they plan to make up for all of its ancestor’s flaws.

Sony Confirms PlayStation 5 Will Not Be Supporting 1440P Resolution

0
maxresdefault-27-2

Sony has revealed that the PlayStation 5 will not support 1440 pixel resolution. The new system is only a few days away from its launch, and fans are preparing to experience the next generation of video gaming as soon as possible.

With preorders sold out all over the world and consoles not available in physical stores thanks to the effects of the global pandemic, it’s becoming harder and harder for fans to get a hold of the new console.

As more news come out about the PlayStation 5, players might be getting less impatient to buy the new console. For each interesting update players receive, there’s another segment of news that rots the whole thing.

For example, it’s already confirmed through a leak that the PlayStation 5 will only have 667GB of SSD storage space, about 150GB less of what Sony told fans to expect. This is a harsh blow to players, especially in the new generation of gaming, which is looking at video game files getting bigger and bigger as developers incorporate more advanced visuals and features. For example, the next main entry to the Call of Duty franchise, Black Ops Cold War will be taking about 133GB of the system’s SSD all by itself.

Now, another frustrating piece of news has been revealed by IGN Italy, who has confirmed that despite speculations to the contrary, the PlayStation 5 will not be supporting 1440p resolution. This might not mean much for fans who are planning to just hook their consoles to a TV, but this is saddening news for PC gamers, who intend to connect their consoles to computer monitors in order to achieve a wider range of resolutions.

Gamers were hopeful for 1440p support from the PlayStation 5 since its ancestor tends to be a disappointment in this department. The PlayStation 4 uploads its footage by reducing it to 1080p and then enhancing it to 1440p, which might end up with blurry graphics. Natural 1440p support would’ve been a significant advantage for the PlayStation 5 fans that prefer using computer monitors, but based on the latest news, this will not be the case.

Luckily, there is still a lot to forward to regarding Sony’s next-gen console. For example, the new machine will be supporting numerous accessibility features including an integrated screen reader, a text to speech option, and a voice dictation component for online messaging. The DualSense controller can also be remapped to better suit the player’s needs. This is a huge step forward in terms of accessibility, which has always been a controversial issue in the video game industry.

There’s still a lot of hype for the PlayStation 5 as its preorder numbers show. The absence of 1440p resolution shouldn’t be that big of a deal to a lot of people and Sony never did officially confirm it.
