The developers have made it clear that one of their inspirations in making the game is Zelda’s Breath of the Wild. Amber

Amber is the first hero every player gets once they start the game. Amber’s stats won’t increase as much as the other heroes in the game. However, she has great usability in the early parts of the game which makes up for her lack of stats.

Since she has an affinity to the Pyro element, Amber can access locked chests in the early parts of the game. Aside from this, she can also help finish several puzzles and obstacles. Her equipment is really not useful in combat once players reach the later parts of the game. However, she can still deal decent damage thanks to her passive ability.

The Xbox Series X features a generous 1TB of default internal storage. However, at least 20 percent of it will be dedicated to the next-gen console’s operating system and other important system files. The size of games also grows with each generation, letting some fans worry about the number of games they will particularly get to save on their new Xbox consoles.

Both the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X have utilized their brand new SSDs as a selling point, mostly focused on how much quicker these drives will be able to process loading times compared to the standard hard drives found on today’s current-gen consoles.

In preparation for Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, the game’s fifth and final free title update, Capcom has recently released a brand-new trailer to give you an idea about what to expect in the game.

Monster Hunter World is known to bring new monsters to the game every time there’s an update, and this is the case even now. Although, Iceborne will not only be introducing new enemies but additional content such as Halloween-themed gear as well.

The new trailer, which you can watch above or on the official Monster Hunter YouTube channel, features a whole bunch of new content in a fast-paced montage. The trailer will also keep you updated on a number of previous announcements that you may have missed.

Some of the information you’ll find in the trailer was already revealed either on the Capcom website or on Monster Hunter’s social media accounts. Nevertheless, the trailer is still informative and works as a great recap, too.

One of the major reveals you’ll find in the trailer is a section on the Seliana Fun Fright Fest, which is the game’s Halloween-themed event for this year. The event will begin on October 15 and will continue to run until November 5.

There are many reasons why this Halloween event is exciting, asides from the fact that seasonal festivals such as this bring back all of Monster Hunter World’s event quests for at least a limited time only.

Another reason is that it’s a great chance for you to earn new Halloween-themed armor. In addition to that, your Palico, Poogie, and Handler will also have outfits that follow the event’s theme, just like in other events of the past.

However, believe it or not, these exciting, new Halloween-content aren’t the most highly-anticipated part of the upcoming update. What fans are really looking forward to is Fatalis, the legendary monster that’s coming to Monster Hunter World: Iceborne this October 1.

Fatalis will make its way to the game alongside Velkhana, an arch-tempered elder dragon who is now stronger than ever. With Velkhana, you will be given a chance to obtain a special Gama gear set.

From what we can see so far, with the new monsters and the upcoming Halloween event, Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is turning into an update that’s definitely one for the books. You’ll definitely enjoy all the challenges the update has to give you, especially Fatalis since it’s known to be the most difficult monster to deal with so far.

Naturally, the upcoming final update also brings with it bittersweet feelings. After all, it has included one of the most beloved monsters from the overall series to Monster Hunter World. On the other hand, this marks the beginning of the end for the title.

That being said, the franchise is still expanding and growing, so there are numerous other Monster Hunter titles you can try out. In fact, Capcom will be releasing Monster Hunter Rise and Monster Hunter Stories 2 on the Nintendo Switch next year.

Release Date for Magic: The Gathering and The Walking Dead Crossover Revealed

Collaborations are always so fun and exciting, bringing fans the best of both worlds. It’s also exciting to see how one franchise can fit into another. As such, fans of both AMC’s The Walking Dead and Wizards of the Coast’s Magic: The Gathering card game are looking forward to seeing how these two completely unrelated games can blend together.

To give you a bit of context, The Walking Dead is an ongoing TV show slash video game franchise about a group of people trying to survive a zombie apocalypse. On the other hand, Magic: The Gathering is a fantasy-themed trading card game where you have to compete with other players by using the most powerful decks.

These two games aren’t new to crossovers, though. The Walking Dead actually collaborated with Bridge Constructor, while the card game has an upcoming crossover with Dungeons and Dragons – another popular franchise by Wizards of the Coast.

The MTG/Walking Dead crossover is known as Secret Lair, and included in this set are premium foil cards that have exclusive art showcasing the characters from The Walking Dead as well as zombies.

According to a press release, the collaboration is scheduled to launch this upcoming October 4. This takes place around the same time when AMC will hold the “We Are the Walking Dead Weekend,” where they will be debuting The Walking Dead: World Beyond.

After the premiere, an episode of Talking Dead will follow, which is where they will unbox the Secret Lair crossover cards. They will be revealing all the cards – except one – during the following weeks.

This last secret card is special, and it deserves a special reveal which players will have to find out for themselves. Sounds pretty exciting, don’t you think?

If you want to preorder the cards, you can do so between October 4 at 11:30 PM ET and October 12. As mentioned, the crossover cards will be premium foil, which is a type of card that has a beautiful glossy finish, unlike the other regular cards.

Understandably, the fantasy tone of MTG and the thrilling zombies in The Walking Dead may not seem like a common fit. However, those who have been playing Magic: The Gathering for a while now know that necromancy and undead hordes are pretty popular in this TCG.

As a matter of fact, Clayton Newman, who is the Vice President of Games for AMC, even went so far as to say that the card drop is a “perfect blend of the two universes.” How well this crossover will do all depends on the art style, though.

Magic: The Gathering and The Walking Dead have completely different art styles, so we definitely look forward to seeing how they will find a balance between the two aesthetics.

It’s also worth noting that The Walking Dead content in MTG will only be permitted in Legacy, Vintage, and Commander. In other words, you should definitely double-check to see if you can use these special cards in your deck before you participate in Magic: The Gathering tournaments.

Twitch Streamer Holds the Record for Longest Ongoing Stream

Most of the news you’ll find regarding Twitch this year are related to bans, but this is not the case for this Twitch streamer who is reaching a whole new record for the platform. At the moment, the streamer known as GPHustla is holding the record of the longest ongoing stream in Twitch history.

The stream is ongoing as we speak, clocking in at over 1000 hours. Initially, the stream was supposed to be just a 24-hour marathon, but as you can see, things didn’t go the way GPHustla originally planned.

If you check out the stream, you can expect to view a variety of content from the Twitch streamer. For instance, you will find gameplay, along with daily shenanigans such as sleeping, among other life responsibilities.

As a matter of fact, GPHustla’s entire life – or at least his life for the past 1000 hours – has been on full display for the world to see due to this ongoing stream. It’s safe to say that his stream has broken the previous Twitch record of Reecesy, which was only 200 hours.

No one knows how long GPHustla plans to keep this going, but we assume that he has no plans of stopping anytime soon given how enthusiastic he is about all of this. He even mentioned that he wants to break the official Guinness World Record for streaming length, although he plans to officially attempt this on January 1st, 2021.

So far, everything is going as smoothly as possible and there are no complaints or issues relating to the stream’s length. The audience seems to be supportive of the streamer, so hopefully this – along with GPHustla’s positive demeanor – will continue until the Twitch marathon ends.

This ongoing stream started back in August, which means that GPHustla’s life has been on display for well over a month now. If he continues to stream until January, which is when he will make an attempt at the Guinness World Records, then the original stream will be at 3000 hours.

As the stream’s hours continue to increase, more and more people have gotten curious about the stream as well. A lot of people keeping checking into GPHustla’s stream to see how he’s doing, as well as to take a peek at the live timer on the screen just to see how long the stream is already.

The stream doesn’t have a lot of simultaneous viewers, but a lot of people come and go just to keep tabs on what’s going on.

At the moment, GPHustla is considering himself to be the only 24/7 Twitch streamer, and rightfully so, since his entire life has been recorded since August when he decided to start this endeavor.

New Sisterhood Crest Tattoo Will Be Available in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

The video game industry is constantly growing and changing, and a lot of changes have been taking place recently – from the upcoming release of new consoles to Microsoft acquiring Bethesda.

Ubisoft has undergone harassment allegations this year as well, and the Assassin’s Creed Sisterhood movement has been working to alter the industry and its culture from the inside. The movement’s impact can be seen in Ubisoft’s upcoming title Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

For the past couple of months, Ubisoft executives have been stepping down from their ranks due to harassment and sexism allegations. In fact, the women writers for Assassin’s Creed have spoken out about how they were bullied for writing female characters into the game, which ultimately had diminished roles.

In addition to that, Aya/Amunet’s voice actor also opened up on the Assassin’s Creed Sisterhood podcast about how her role was reduced in Assassin’s Creed Origins.

Recently, Assassin’s Creed fans have united to celebrate the badass women assassins with a Sisterhood symbol. This symbol, as you can see above, beautifully blends together Egyptian aesthetics along with a snake looping around the symbol, which symbolizes transformation and rebirth.

In a recent announcement, that community-made symbol is going to be an official part of the Assassin’s Creed universe in the form of a customizable tattoo in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

Not only that, but Assassin’s Creed Sisterhood is also raising funds for charity, as they want to give back to the community as well as try to make right the wrongs of the rampant sexism found in video games and the industry itself.

The Sisterhood’s initiative is selling a pin of the Sisterhood symbol, the same one that’s going to be featured as a tattoo in Valhalla. All the proceeds from the pin are going to Girls Make Games, a wonderful organization that teaches young girls to code. These skills will then help them get into underrepresented roles in the industry in the future.

The official Assassin’s Creed Twitter account was the one that revealed the news as an attempt to bring the community and the developers together, even going so far as to call it a “collaboration.”

Even though it was the community that started this movement, it’s still great to see that the company itself also agrees and acknowledges just how widespread sexism is in video games.

Albeit adding a Sisterhood tattoo to the game is just a small step, it’s still a small step towards the right direction and for that, we are more than happy.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is set during the time of the Vikings and as such, the game will feature numerous tattoos that take inspiration from historical Viking tattoos.

Although this isn’t the case for the Sisterhood tattoo, it’s worth saying that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is a fantasy game and naturally, it will have other elements that won’t really match the overall theme of the title. Still, the tattoo looks really cool.

The complete abolishment of sexism and harassment in the video game industry won’t happen overnight, but it lightens up the heart to know that there are people out there who are striving to make changes.

Resident Evil 8: Village Might Have New Crafting System

Capcom might be adding a new gameplay mechanic to the highly-anticipated Resident Evil 8: Village. During the Tokyo Game Show 2020 event, Capcom revealed a new gameplay trailer for the title.

Along with that, the company was given thirty minutes to answer as many questions as possible about Resident Evil: Village, as well as present the new features and content that players might find in the game.

Resident Evil 8 is expected to have a lot of new additions, such as more open environments that you can explore extensively. However, it’s also been said that Capcom has come up with an idea to include new gameplay mechanics as well, such as a new crafting system.

Activision Announces Horror-Themed Halloween Event for Call of Duty: Warzone

The sixth season of Call of Duty: Warzone begins this September 29, and with it comes a bunch of new content that will definitely keep you playing for days.

To celebrate the upcoming season, Activision has released a new Call of Duty: Warzone Season 6 trailer which showcases all the new features you’ll find in the game once the update drops at 2AM ET.

However, asides from this highly-anticipated update, there are other things you should be excited about. You see, if you check the trailer until the end, Activision confirms that the free-to-play battle royale will have a horror-themed Halloween event beginning October 20.

There’s not much to go on, as the announcement was only briefly teased in the trailer with the background image of a dark, spooky forest, along with a creepy laugh. The words “The Haunting Begins” simply show up after.

On the other hand, what we do know is that the Halloween-event will only be featured as a limited-time mode that has exclusive rewards. The event will then end on November 20.

At the moment, Activision has yet to reveal more information about the Warzone Halloween event. However, there have been previous leaks that have given the fans a good impression of what to expect.

For one thing, it’s highly possible that Activision will be adding zombies to the map during the Warzone Halloween event. After all, zombies in Warzone have been leaked multiple times before. So, it’s just a matter of time before they get officially released in the game.

Based on the leaks, these zombies will be made even stronger by the poison gas. Not only that, but there might even be a limited-time mode that allows you to become a zombie yourself.

We just have to wait a bit more, since Activision will most likely reveal new details about the event the closer we get to October 20.

Another possibility is that a Night version of Verdansk will be used during the Halloween event, which will definitely increase the creepy vibes significantly. In the new Call of Duty: Warzone Season 6 trailer, we can see that a night map has been added to the game. As such, it would make sense if this was included as a part of the upcoming spooky event.

For now, we are still mostly in the dark when it comes to the Warzone Halloween-event. However, in other news, the trailer for the sixth season has been more than eye-opening, providing us with crucial information about what we can expect in this new update.

For one thing, players can start making use of an all-new vehicle type starting September 29. An armored truck that has a mounted turret will be added to Warzone and we can’t wait to test it out.

Many fans have been awaiting Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 6, and the highly-anticipated day is almost here as the season starts on September 29. Season 6 will be adding a bunch of new content to the game, such as new maps in Modern Warfare, subway stations in Warzone, as well as a Battle Pass.

Season 6’s Battle Pass is also something worth getting excited over, as it comes with a ton of content that players can strive to unlock.

The soundtracks are composed of real songs as well as the music from other Call of Duty games from the past. It works similarly to playing music in Grand Theft Auto, as you will be able to blast songs in full volume while driving around. Although the downside is that you won’t be able to hear your surroundings, which is a must if you’re playing Call of Duty.

Of course, you can expect new weapons as well, since a new season of Call of Duty would not be complete without one. That being said, Season 6 will be bringing two new weapons to the table: the AS-VAL assault rifle and the SP-R 208 bolt-action rifle.

In addition to that, a VSS legendary assault rifle blueprint is also available as well as a blueprint for a screwdriver combat knife.

The AS-VAL assault rifle was previously datamined, so we’ve been expecting it. This assault rifle boasts a high rate of fire, and included with it is a suppressor. It’s a great weapon if you need stealth and accuracy.

The SP-R 208 bolt-action rifle, on the other hand, is considered to be one of the most accurate guns in Call of Duty.

Two new operators will be featured in the Battle Pass, namely Farah and Nikolai. Both of these characters are well-known in the Modern Warfare universe, and now they’re finally playable characters.

Finishing up the new additions, we have Edward the bat. You can use this friendly pet bat to attack enemies as a Finishing Move.

The normal Pass will cost 1,000 CP, and getting this will give you 100 tiers of content, Operator Farah, and up to 1,300 CP. The Battle Pass, on the other hand, will cost 2,400 CP. It will have the same features as the normal Pass, but it will also include 20 Tier Skips.

This will save you a significant 40%, especially if you were planning to get the Pass and the skips individually.

Without a doubt, this upcoming season will keep fans satiated for many months to come.
