Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is currently in its sixth season, and will soon be entering its sixth. A new trailer has been dropped to promote the upcoming Modern Warfare Season 6 which will feature new Operators and probably a new area in Warzone.

Scheduled to start on September 29, Season 6 will feature Modern Warfare’s campaign heroine Farah in front of the battlefield. A lot of Call of Duty fans have been asking Farah to be a Modern Warfare operator for online modes for quite some time now and seeing her join the ranks of selectable characters should prove to be a welcome addition. Nikolai, Captain Price’s hard-headed comrade, will also be added as a new operator for Season 6 when it launches later this month.

The trailer features Nikolai and Farah carefully reclaiming a subway station giving confirmation to a Warzone leak from last month. The leak suggested new subway stations on the Verdansk map via an overhead view of the Warzone battlefield which is now confirmed to be added to the next season of Modern Warfare.

The subway shown in the trailer is a bit expansive, so it should perfectly fit Warzone’s gameplay for quite a bit. With the trailer’s description telling “take to the tunnels,’ the primary focus for Season 6 might be getting placed on this map addition.

Fans who were too focused on the map changes and the appearance of the new operators Nikolai and Farah would most probably did not notice the new weapon featured in the trailer. While it might not be the ACR and MP7 addition requested by most players, the AS Val assault rifle can be seen in the trailer as well as on Farah in the promotional photo for Season 6 at the end of the cinematic.

The trailer also included a monologue from Captain Price as well as other operators talking about the villain Imran Zakhaev. Zakhaev is the original villain for Call of Duty 4 as well as the antagonist for the ongoing Warzone and Spec Ops narrative so it is still uncertain when the heroes will kill him.

It may happen during the final cinematic at the end of the season or it could be during the sequel for Modern Warfare. Will Final Fantasy 16 Release On the PlayStation 4?

Final Fantasy 16 was introduced via a reveal trailer during the recently concluded PlayStation 5 Showcase live streaming event. The trailer shows that the new franchise installment might be a renewed form for the series as the featured high fantasy setting, scarcity of machines and the significance of crystals all echo themes from previous Final Fantasy games.

Another method that the game is indeed returning to form has frustrated some fans due to the fact that Final Fantasy 16 will be exclusive to the PlayStation 5, at least for a limited time.

It has been a while since a Final Fantasy title has been launched as a PlayStation exclusive as the 14^th and 15^th installments were both launched on multiple platforms. Whether or these details included predicted launch dates for other consoles is yet to be seen, but things doesn’t look good for fans hoping to see Final Fantasy 16 on the PlayStation 4. Even if the game is launched sometime in the later months of 2021, this is still in the early life cycle of the PlayStation 5 which gives it ample time to stop sharing games with the Playstation 4.

Perhaps the biggest disappointment for fans that are hoping to get Final Fantasy on the PlayStation 4 is that the game’s trailer particularly showed that the game is a PlayStation 5 exclusive and not a general PlayStation exclusive. This doesn’t exactly mean that it would be impossible for the game to be released on the PlayStation 4 but it will be likely that the console will be treated obsolete by the time Final Fantasy 16 is launched.

A lot of Final Fantasy enthusiasts are hoping that the 16^th installment would be a return to the previous game’s previous form. It looks like they finally got their wish since the trailer looks like it’s full of fantasy themes.

Sadly, this is not the only motif that has been restored to the Final Fantasy franchise though as the series has been known to be a PlayStation exclusive in the previous games. Final Fantasy enthusiasts are still unsure on what other consoles will receive the installment after the PlayStation 5 exclusivity expires but the possibility of the game releasing on older consoles such as the PlayStation 4 doesn’t look good.

Unless the developers reveal a contradictory announcement, it’s possibly a safe bet to say that Final Fantasy fans must avail the new PlayStation 5 if they really want to experience Final Fantasy 16 when it launches.

Empire of Sin to be released on consoles and pc this December

The new game by Paradox Interactive and Romero Games titled Empire of Sin is scheduled to be released in December on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Romero Games is an independent gaming development studio which is being managed by the couple John and Brenda Romero. After collaborating on a few games, the couple set up their own development studio in 2015.

By that time, they have released to games – Gunman Taco Truck and Dangerous Dave in the Deserted Pirate’s Hideout. The latter is a reboot of a mobile game created by John Romero in the late 1980s which focuses on gathering various gems across shifting level backdrops.

On the other hand, Gunman Taco Truck – now available on Steam and other mobile devices – is a 2D single-player game that tasks players to guide a Taco Truck across the post-apocalyptic United States to reach Canada’s safe haven. Once the player is there, they must learn to manage their business to be able to survive.

Empire of Sin will be the third game to be released by the studio. After being introduced in last year’s Nintendo Direct showcase at E3, it was initially scheduled to release in the second quarter of 2020. However, Romero Games needed to delay the game’s release to fine-tune the elements of the game which resulted in the game being released on December 1, 2020.

Mafia games seem to be popular these days however, Empire of Sins is set in Chicago during the 1920s and 1930s era of prohibition. The game allows players to take control of mobs and gain control of the entire city of Chicago.

Regarded as a successor to 1999’s Mob Rule, the gameplay for Empire of Sin is in the style of a tactical RPG, integrating the elements of classical RPG with that of a tactical game. Players are required to use logic and imagination in order to climb their way up the mafia ladder.

This can be done by assigning subordinates to take control of the empire and manage some dirty businesses along the way. Speakeasies, illegal breweries, casinos, and brothels can all be controlled by the player in order to expand the influence of their mob in the city.

Of course, players will have to deal with rival mobs and the authorities during gameplay. Allying with rivals, alcohol being used as currency, and battling your way to secure new businesses will keep players busy throughout the whole game.

Empire of Sin will be available for the Xbox One, PS4, Switch, and PC on December 1, 2020.

Red Dead Online Leak Shows Upcoming Halloween Content

Several new files discovered by dataminers suggest that something is exciting coming up this Halloween for Red Dead Online.

A few days ago, a video was uploaded on the Red Dead Guides YouTube Channels shows several zombie-looking character models for Red Dead Online – almost 50 of them, in fact. The character models were dug up in secret game files and as of the moment, aren’t implemented in the game yet.

There are exactly 29 male models and at least 19 female models which all have grey skins and are certainly undead, a few of them wearing numerous new items too.

It is still unclear what all of these could mean for the game itself, but it might be a new game mode intended for Rockstar’s western open-world multiplayer. Red Dead Guides revealed that these new characters will be featured in some kind of Infection game mode which would certainly explain why there are numerous undead characters in the game files.

This new content could be related to another leak that was revealed last July where dataminers again discovered various new characters and horse cosmetics that are certainly Halloween-inspired. Along with these photos, several hidden audio files were also discovered by Twitter user MuzTuber which was called “Fear of Us.” Fans regarded that these leaks could be some type of time-limited game mode for Red Dead Online, particularly for Halloween.

This would make things clear, considering that the game received a Fear of the Dead mode last year to celebrate the Halloween season. The mode was integrated within the game and was available through October 29 until November 1, so perhaps fans can expect a similar addition this year.

Players always somehow find these secrets like the previously revealed Red Dead Redemption 2 hidden alternate cutscene which plays when particular conditions are met upon playing Chapter 3’s “Magician for Sport” mission. One exciting thing you can look forward to during this event is the fact that the Pokemon you catch will have special accessories. At the moment, there are four different fashionable Pokemon that have been confirmed. This means that trainers who want to have the special varieties of Pokemon found in this event will have a lot of catching to do.

The Pokemon Go event will last about a week, so this gives you and other trainers a lot of time to benefit from the new finds. In addition to that, there will also be new event exclusive field research tasks that you will have to complete while the event is ongoing.

The Spider-Man PS5 Remaster Lacks Key Features

Ever since gameplay footage and other information for Spider-Man: Miles Morales and by extension the Spider-Man PS5 Remaster was revealed, many fans have been brimming with excitement for the title’s release.

Since then, Insomniac Games hasn’t stopped promoting the game via its different social media platforms. However, when the studio was asked about whether or not the PS5 version of Spider-Man will have certain quality of life features, they gave a rather disappointing reply.

When the much-anticipated PS5 showcase took place, it was revealed that Spider-Man: Miles Morales would have an ultimate edition. Included in the game will be the remastered edition of the original Spider-Man game which was initially released on the PS4 exclusively.

This is great news for those who don’t have a PS4 but are planning to get a PS5, as they will be given a chance to play the original game for the first time. Unfortunately, when Insomniac Games was asked about certain details about the game, they had some bad news.

For one thing, one fan on Twitter asked if the remaster will have a physical edition, to which Insomniac replied by saying that at the moment, the studio has no plans of having a physical release for the title.

In other words, the PS5 remaster of Spider-Man will only be included in the ultimate edition of the Miles Morales game, along with various kinds of Spider-Suits that will only be exclusive for the ultimate edition. However, there’s more unfortunate news to come.

Insomniac Games also confirmed that there is currently no option for players to transfer over their saved files from the PS4 Spider-Man to the PS5 remaster.

In other words, those who have already purchased the game beforehand and made a lot of progress on the PS4 will have to play the game from the very beginning if they want to try it out on the PS5.

It’s truly sad, but it might be better for those fans to just not get the ultimate edition, or perhaps just purchase Spider-Man: Miles Morales on the PS4 instead.

That being said, the studio has yet to confirm if it’s possible for fans to just get the remastered version of Spider-Man via a free or paid upgrade, as it appears that some players are willing to fork out cash for that. Insomniac Games’ response was quite hopeful, although we shouldn’t hold our breaths.

In any case, albeit disappointing and not what we expected, the studio’s decisions so far are somewhat understandable. After all, the Spider-Man remaster will only be available on Miles Morales’ ultimate edition. On the bright side, it’s great that Insomnia Games has decided that taking on The Tinkerer can be done on both PS4 and PS5 versions.

Overall, fans of the Spider-Man franchise will be able to experience the game either for the first time or for the second time, depending on what console they choose to play on. However, the fact that the game lacks key features will surely aggravate a lot of players.

Hopefully, the level of quality and fun the game offers will be enough to make up for it.

The Elder Scrolls 6 Promises To Have Huge Engine Overhaul

Only a few hours have passed since the breaking news that Microsoft acquired Bethesda Studios and Zenimax Media, but news about The Elder Scrolls 6 has already made its way to the gaming community.

Based on the information we have, it appears that the next-gen consoles will allow the game to have astounding graphics, promising that the upcoming title will be awe-inspiring.

The announcement that Microsoft acquired Bethesda truly shook the gaming community. This means that many games are now under Microsoft, including titles such as The Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Wolfenstein, and more.

This is a great turn of events for the Xbox fans, but a lot of PlayStation gamers are quite worried about the future of their gaming experience.

In a recent statement made on Bethesda’s website, head of Bethesda Todd Howard discussed how their partnership with Xbox in the past completely changed the way their games were developed.

That being said, Microsoft said that they will respect the exclusive deals that Bethesda has for some of their games. In other words, games like Deathloop and Ghostwire: Tokyo won’t be affected by this Microsoft takeover. However, the Xbox Series X and S will still be supported for many other titles in Bethesda’s roster, and this includes The Elder Scrolls.

For one thing, having an all-new The Elder Scrolls game means that fans will finally stop playing the game in crazy yet creative ways. Also, it isn’t a secret that Bethesda has continuously used the same engine for The Elder Scrolls, so it’s definitely about time that the franchise gets an upgrade.

Although understandably, reusing the same engine over and over again for games gives the developers an easier time and it definitely saves time as well. However, the fact that there’s a next-gen console looming in the distance makes it the best time to try out something new.

In his statement, Howard also mentioned that basically, being acquired by Microsoft was a good thing because this has given Bethesda access to technology that will help the developers greatly improve many aspects of their games.

He describes Microsoft’s technology to have “generational leaps” not only in the graphics department but in CPU and data streaming as well. He goes on to say that these new systems have led them to their “largest engine overhaul since Oblivion,” which means that these powerful new technologies will be powering The Elder Scrolls 6.

There are so many possibilities for Bethesda right now, especially now that they’ve been acquired by Microsoft. Naturally, many fans have been wondering about Fallout as well, specifically a sequel to Fallout: New Vegas.

Obisidian teased fans by saying that a sequel to Fallout: New Vegas could be possible, especially now that it is able to work in close proximity with Microsoft. However, nothing is guaranteed just yet and there are no further details mentioned.

On another note, sequels to games such as Prey, Dishonored, and many more will be able to benefit from the Xbox Series technology. After all, anything is possible if two renowned companies work together.
