Mortal Shell All Bosses with no shell and no damage

0
Mortal Shell

Mortal Shell has “Shells” which act like classes, you have to find the perfect one for your play style, then you have to start strengthening it. YouTuber Esoterickk decided to forego the shell and managed to beat every boss in the game. It’s like not upgrading Warren’s Exo-Rig in The Surge.

Mortal Shell

Esoterickk also beat every single boss without taking damage. So that’s a no Shell, no damage run, which is very impressive, especially as bosses will one-hit you if you’re going Shell-less. You can watch his amazing feat below.

The run is technically different from doing the Obsidian Form Shell run, which is hardcore difficulty with a useless obsidian-hued Shell, and no way to acquire any other Shells.

Esoterickk wrote this in the YouTube description.

EA secretly lowers ‘Rocket Arena’ price to $5

0
rocket arena

Developer EA has discretely lowered the cost of Rocket Arena on all playable platforms. The game is now only at $5 and it seems like this wouldn’t change anytime soon.

Rocket Arena is a 3v3 hero shooting game released by EA last July 14. On July 28, two weeks after its launch, Season One officially kicked off. The game also featured crossplay for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

More players for Rocket Arena

As the name of the game implies, the game allows players to launch tons of rockets at people inside an arena. Despite only two months since its release, EA decided to put the game on sale to probably encourage more players to join in its small community.

It is also possible that the price discount could present a revised fixed cost of Rocket Arena. Currently, the game is listed at $5 on Steam, PlayStation Store, and Microsoft Store. None of them marks the price as discounted.

EA needs to address problems

Reviews of the game are mixed which indicates that the Rocket Arena’s release has been pretty divided. The discounted price might be developer First Strike’s move to entice gamers in order to release new content and put the game back into a positive trajectory. It is also worth noting that the game is free to download for all players who have Prime Gaming subscriptions starting September 3.

Rocket Arena received its poor reviews due to its accessibility issues. Players complained about bad controller mapping and a poor notification system for incoming rockets. EA needs to work out all the game’s problems if they want to see the game achieve some success.

Rocket Arena Season One is still ongoing and players recently received a new hero named Flux.

Avengers has Intel improve PC-exclusive graphics

Avengers

Square Enix’s Crystal Dynamics and Intel have teamed up to optimize the PC-exclusive graphics for the upcoming Avengers game. Intel would not provide any details on numbers about the partnership, though, it did confirm that it is has a two-year commitment to continue to support Avengers and is its biggest gaming deal yet.

AMD or Nvidia which are graphics card companies would usually be the sort of partnership we see for graphics improvements in games. Intel has mostly focused on the CPU, over the GPU and may seem like an odd choice for improving graphical fidelity. But the improvements made to Avengers by Crystal Dynamics are designed to take advantage of Intel’s expertise by optimizing CPU-based tasks, like the physics engine, which allows more headroom for the GPU to take on other tasks.

The improvements made by Intel can be divided into three categories. The enhanced armor destruction, which improves the visual damage effects when players damage enemies. The new system generates, glass shards, metal plates, and rubble as physical objects, which interact with the player and the environment.

The two companies say that the debris will persist in the environment longer on high-end machines for added realism. There is also environmental damage which is caused by the characters’ ultimate “Heroic” attack, which will be improved with shockwaves or energy blasts that creating more debris and interact with existing debris.

PC players will also benefit from beautiful fully-fledged-fledged water simulation, which will react to the environment just like it would in real life. Crystal Dynamics’s belief is that improvements like this, highlight the advantages of optimizing for both the CPU and the GPU. The company has stated that it was already pushing the GPU side of things as far as it could go, if effects like water simulation were added, the computational load would limit other aspects of the game. By offsetting that to the CPU, it is providing a fuller experience.

The Intel optimizations have three levels low, medium, and high which are tuned to each of these types of processor 4-, 8-, and 10-core. That means that even if you have an entry-level gaming PC, you will still get a benefit when playing Avengers. Even though Intel developed these features, all PC players will be able to take advantage of them, not just Intel users.

screen_shot_2020_08_31_at_2-34-17_pm-2152529

The goal of the partnership between these two companies is beyond just the initial launch. Intel promised to continue supporting Avengers for two years, and Crystal Dynamics’ Foundation Engine has these improvements baked into it. This means it is possible that things like water simulation could come to future PC titles, too.

This gaming partnership comes just as Intel is getting ready for its biggest gaming and graphics push yet, with the launch of the 11th Gen Tiger Lake processors, Xe graphics architecture, and standalone DG1 GPUs all coming this fall. Ss Intel’s CPU and GPU efforts become more aligned, This CPU / GPU optimization by Intel will be seen more.

Intel has already confirmed that specific Avengers optimizations will be coming for the future Intel GPUs, presumably referring to the Xe-LP integrated graphics which is debuting later this week, with the company promising that 30fps / 1080p will be obtainable when playing the game on upcoming ultrabook and thin and light machines.

Marvel’s Avengers is launching with all the Intel-designed enhancements on September 4th. If you cannot wait until then pre-order it here.

Ubisoft reveals PlayStation 5 backwards compatibility only supports PlayStation 4 games

playstation 5

Ubisoft confirms that PlayStation 5 backwards compatibility only works for PlayStation 4 titles and notes that PlayStation 1 to 3 games cannot be played on Sony’s next-gen console.

The news came directly from Ubisoft’s support page and made viral by Nibel on Twitter.

Looking at the link shared on the tweet, it brings viewers to a post on Ubisoft’s official support site showing details about how the PS5’s backwards compatibility will work.

The post states:

“As part of their next-gen upgrade process, PlayStation offers a number of features designed to help you move from PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5. “PlayStation 4 players will be able to join multiplayer games with PlayStation 5 players.”

“Backwards compatibility will be available for supported PlayStation 4 titles, but will not be possible for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, or PlayStation games,”

However, it is worth noting that the information came from Ubisoft and not Sony. This means it could refer to this particular studio’s comment about PlayStation 5’s backwards compatibility as opposed to the absolute probability of loading older PlayStation games on the next-gen console.

Despite this sad news, PlayStation France added four private trailers on PlayStation 5’s official YouTube playlist. Sony’s next-gen console is expected to be released by the middle of November, roughly two weeks after the Xbox Series X is released by Microsoft. As of writing, Sony is now sending invites for people who want to pre-order the PS5.

Activision confirmed that the changes will affect playlists on both games, there is also no new weapon balancing reported. The Games of Summer and King Slayer are still in Warzone alongside the Blood Money Quads, for MW multiplayer, fan-favorite Shoot the Ship playlist makes a return. Players will also enjoy double Battle Pass Tier Progression, Double XP, and Double Weapon XP all day on September 7. Depending on how big the planned update is, an evening release in the UK might happen.

There are some new bundles that players can choose from as well: ‘The Game Winner’ bundle for Gaz which includes a jersey-like Operator skin, a Legendary assault rifle, and the ‘Footy’ weapon charm. The ‘Mara: Kawaii Cat’ bundle which is a 10-item bundle that includes colorful vehicle skins, the Aomi melee swords, and a Legendary blueprint “the Slaying Moon.”

The Free Access Gunfight Tournament is finishing up in Warzone on September 2, this leaves Activision a window to launch a playlist update. There is still so much happening in-game though, it will be interesting to see what Activision has planned this week. Further changes to the Warzone map have been hinted at, but it is still unclear when this might happen.

During the Call of Duty League celebrations, some eagle-eyed fans spotted a new Easter egg, after Dallas Empire won the CDL Champs Event. There seemed to a subway station which appeared near the Verdansk Stadium, this area has already seen some big changes. however, this is not something to expect this week and is more likely to be planned for Season 6.

Some other features that are possibly coming to the game in the coming weeks might include Creator Code support for Warzone and Modern Warfare. This is still a rumor for now but data miners have found a lot of evidence to suggest this could come before the end of 2020. More information about Black Ops is expected to drop this week, although it will not be anything like what is being planned for September 9.

The official multiplayer reveal for Black Ops Cold War is happening this month. It is expected to include plenty of info for Warzone gamers as both games will share a Battle Pass after Cold War launches on November 13 and this should mean that there will be plenty of cross-support between all titles.

The shared progression will add inventory items that can be used in both titles. and Warzone players will still have access to previously earned content in Modern Warfare, like Operators and weapon blueprints. More information will be announced at a later date.

Dota 2 7.27d Update Nerfs Multiple Heroes

header-2

Valve doesn’t constantly release updates for Dota 2, so the release of 7.27d last week was quite exciting. Sadly, we come bearing bad news: a couple of heroes were nerfed in this update, with Spectre being the one that was hit the most.

That said, Underlord, Venomancer, and Doom were nerfed as well, which we will discuss further below.

ss_e0a92f15a6631a8186df79182d0fe28b5e37d8cb-1920x1080-3411575

First things first: item changes. There were four items on Dota 2 that received changes in this patch. For starters, the release of Update 7.27 changed the components found in the Drum of Endurance, which led to it being more expensive. An increase to all the attributes bonus was made as well. Now, with 7.27d, the item is back to +4 from +6.

Moving on, Heaven’s Halberd now requires a recipe. As a result, the item has also increased by 400 gold. On the other hand, the cost for Soul Ring’s recipe was decreased by 275 gold.

Lastly, two changes were made for the Helm of the Dominator: 1) the minimum health to the dominated is now 1000 from its original 1500, and 2) it now gives +4 armor to the dominated creep.

Now that the item changes are out of the way, we can discuss the changes made to the heroes. As mentioned, Spectre was nerfed the most out of everyone. His desolate damage, for instance, was lowered to 15/30/45/60 from 24/36/48/60. It doesn’t end there: his Spectral Dagger damage was also decreased from 90/140/190/240 to 75/130/185/240. As you can see, the difference is quite significant.

ss_86d675fdc73ba10462abb8f5ece7791c5047072c-1920x1080-2753325

For Doom, the duration for Scorched Earth is now 15 seconds instead of 16 seconds. Not only that, but his HP Regen for Devour decreased from 2/6/10/14 to 1/5/9/13.

As for Underlord, three of his skills were nerfed. Pit of Malice’s cooldown was raised to 21/19/17/15, and his creep bonus for Atrophy Aura was changed from 4/6/7 to 2/4/6/8. Lastly, the cast range for his Firestrom was initially just 675, but now it was scaled to 600/625/650/675.

Last but not least, we have Venomancer. For this hero, it will be his utility that will mostly be impacted by his nerfs. His mana cost for Plague Ward was increased to 20/22/24/26 and there was a raise in gold bounty as well.

All these changes are quite sad, but on the plus side, we’re sure that there’s a reason why these changes were made. If you don’t mind these updates, don’t hesitate to update your Dota 2 game now! If you want to read more about this patch update, you can do so here.

ss_2eae29fbdfe8e5e8999b96d8bb28c5db70507968-1920x1080

Extremely popular back in 2009, Left 4 Dead 2 is a co-op first-person shooter game where you have to take down zombies. The franchise has received countless mods and additions since its release, but now one is being made official for Left 4 Dead 2.

Although this update is fanmade, it can also be considered as an official one since Valve has given their blessings and approval in the development of the update. We don’t have a lot of information yet, but what we do know is that it’s called The Last Stand.

The Left 4 Dead team announced this on their blog last Wednesday, August 26, along with an official teaser:

It has been many years since the infection first hit. Radio silence, no sign of life, nothing but lingering hopes… CEDA is not going to save us. But there is hope! A few brave souls have continued the fight against all odds, and soon we can all benefit from their resilience.

With its name being The Last Stand, we can safely assume that this is a direct reference to one of Left 4 Dead’s levels that was lighthouse-themed. Valve stated that the update is “created by the community, for the community” and we can see in Valve News Network’s (VNN) YouTube video that both Valve and the community really are working hard on this.

That said, this will be the game’s first update since 2012 where there is new content added to the game. As such, countless fans all over the world are beyond excited to try out this fresh Left 4 Dead 2 content. There’s no release date just yet, but the blog post promises to keep us informed.

New Wiiboy Color Made by Modder GingerOfMods

Wiiboy Color

Modder GingerOfMods has created the “Wiiboy Color” from a Nintendo Wii. The “Wiiboy Color” As the name suggests, resembles the retro Game Boy Color, and all the essential Wii parts carefully made to fit the portable mold.

He uploaded a video showcasing the amazing transformation and how much tinkering went into this device. At the start of the video, he explains that it is made possible because “the Wii motherboard can actually be trimmed to be very small.”

A custom 3D-printed Game Boy Color shell houses all the necessary buttons and parts that make up a Wii controller: Nintendo Switch joysticks were used at the upper left and lower right and DS Lite buttons on the lower left and upper right. The controls were linked to a GameCube controller’s circuit. Two triggers, Z-buttons, and one cooling fan were placed at the back. The screen is actually for a car’s backup camera. GingerOfMods actually says that “the games look better than they ever have before” on the 3.5 inch 480p IPS screen.
