League of Legends: How to Acquire Samira’s Emote

2020 has been a great year for League of Legends’ fans, with updates here and there such as a new champion stats feature as well as a rumored new champion, Seraphine. A few days ago, players of the game noticed Samira’s emote, which they initially thought was a Worlds emote.

However, renowned data miner Moobeat confirmed that the emote was, in fact, Samira’s. In order to earn this emote, you will need to do specific challenges in the game. This Rank S emote showcases the champion’s initial on a red rose.

Not everyone was able to receive the emote, though. As such, some players thought that this was only a glitch. However, upon further investigation by League of Legends’ investigative community, they were able to uncover the possible tasks you need to do in order to claim the emote.

There are different ways you can get it, so your options aren’t limited. However, one thing that you must do is join a Summoner’s Rift game. After doing so, Dot Esports states that you can do either of the following:

  • Killing an enemy while having less than 20 percent HP
  • Claiming First Blood or a Shutdown
  • Get a kill after landing every one of your spells

That being said, most players do the third method in order to get their hands on the sought-after emote. Now the question remains: will this unlock Samira as a champion? For previous champions such as Lillia and Seth, players had to go on missions in-game in order to win tokens which could be used to unlock the characters once released.

Basing on this, it’s quite possible that Riot Games will release Samira as a champion in the future. Although, these are all just speculations.

Three Xbox Consoles Inspired By Wonder Woman 1984 Are Up for Grabs

A lot of us are looking forward to the upcoming Wonder Woman 1984 movie, even the people over at Xbox. As such, Xbox is currently giving gamers and movie fans alike a chance to win these limited-edition custom Xbox One X console displays.

For the first console display, Xbox created a one-of-a-kind replication of golden armor, along with 24-carat gold leaves. What’s so amazing about this one is the fact that it’s made completely by hand. It has a golden eagle crest on the front, and it features a 3D-printed “WW84” logo on the center.

It doesn’t end there, though — the Wonder Woman Golden Armor Xbox One X Console is going to be auctioned off. All of the proceeds from this will be given to Together for Her, a movement by the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project, CARE, and the Entertainment Industry Foundation.

Their purpose is to stand together with women and girls, giving their all-out support towards victims of domestic violence especially during the pandemic. For this display, Xbox is yet to announce further details.

Next up is the Wonder Woman Lasso of Truth Xbox One X Console, which was inspired by the lasso that Wonder Woman uses in the movie. The braided detailing in the lasso looks amazing, and it perfectly lays on the console. A 3D-printed Wonder Woman logo sits in the center, with its very colorful palette.

Last but not least is the Barbara Minerva Xbox One X Console, which is inspired by Wonder Woman’s archenemy. This is the perfect display for those who are huge fans of villains.

This custom display features a beautiful snakeskin pattern wrapped in faux leopard fur. On the corner, you will find a 3D-printed “WW84” logo as well as silver spikes.

We’re super excited to see Diana in action once again, but we’re more excited about these displays that have left us completely awestruck.

Square Enix Has Removed Denuvo From Trials of Mana, Decreasing File Size

Just recently, we wrote about how Trials of Mana was able to surpass sales expectations. Now, we have more good news about the game: Square Enix has removed Denuvo, lessening the game’s file size in the process.

If you didn’t know, Denuvo is an anti-tamper technology that makes gaming difficult for so many people. For one thing, playing games without an internet connection makes it close to impossible with Denuvo. Not only that, but Denuvo games will need reactivation if you make any hardware changes, or even if you just haven’t played the game in a while.

That being said, there have been constant debates on the internet whether Denuvo is a good or bad thing. Some consider it to be bloatware, while others do not. However, after the new Trials of Mana update wherein Denuvo was removed, the game’s file size was decreased by 544 MB.

It’s also worth noting that when the demo was released on Steam, the game was cracked within a day even when Denuvo was incorporated. This makes you wonder just how well this anti-piracy technology does its job.

Trials of Mana isn’t the first Square Enix game wherein Denuvo was removed, though. The company also decided to take it out from Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age, DRAGON QUEST BUILDERS 2 as well as Deus Ex Mankind Divided.

Square Enix did confirm that they will be launching Marvel’s Avengers Denuvo, though it would be exciting to see when they’ll decide to remove it as well.

The hype for the PlayStation 5 has been increasing each month, and gamers worldwide have been taut with excitement to get their hands on this brand-new console. There’s no price point yet, but Sony has recently set up a pre-order page for the PS5.

Not to burst your bubble, though, but you can’t pre-order the console just yet. The pre-order page has you sign up with your PSN ID so that you will be notified right away once pre-orders are available.

Although, from what we can understand, signing up on the site may get you chosen for a chance to pre-order the console before the others who didn’t sign up. The website states:

“There will be a limited quantity of PS5 consoles available for pre-order, so we will be inviting some of our existing consumers to be one of the first to pre-order one from PlayStation.

Pre-order reservations will be taken on a first-come-first-serve basis, so once you get an invite via email, we encourage you to follow instructions and act fast.

If you are interested in receiving an invitation, register below.

If selected, we will contact you via email with instructions and details.”

You might be wondering why they need your PSN ID, though. The answer can be found on their FAQ page. The page states that the selection will be “based on previous interests and PlayStation activities.” This could mean that the more you use your PlayStation, the higher your chances are of being chosen.

In retrospect, this makes sense, since they would want to choose legit fans who would make use of the console, instead of scammers who would simply just resell it online. Since Sony has set up this page, then it would be safe to assume that they will post more information about the PS5 soon, such as the release date and the price.

That being said, if you’re aiming to get your hands on the PS5 as soon as possible, you should definitely sign up. All you have to do is enter your PSN ID – you don’t even have to sign in. After that comes the waiting game. Good luck!

MMORPG ‘Guild Wars 2’ Makes Its Way To Steam

Believe it or not, but Guild of Wars 2 has been around for eight long years and ArenaNet will stop at nothing until the MMORPG is spread throughout the globe. For all these years, Guild Wars 2 has been available only through its own launcher. However, the game will officially be released on Steam later this year.

The full package will be available on Valve’s storefront, including the expansions Heart of Thorns and Path of Fire. Not only that but Guild War 2’s Living Word narrative adventure is included, as well. Unfortunately, those who have existing accounts won’t be able to use it on Steam and vice-versa.

On a brighter note, however, ArenaNet was able to confirm that the world for both the Steam version and the standalone launcher will be shared. This means new players will still be able to experience the existing game.

In a recent press release, Chauncey Gammage, the COO for NCSoft, states:

“Guild Wars 2 has endured for the better part of a decade because of its innovative gameplay, rich storytelling, and passionate fanbase. As the game’s incredible fantasy world prepares to grow once again with the End of Dragons expansion, we are excited to bring this universally acclaimed gaming experience to Steam users around the globe.”

Speaking of expansions, the first look at Guild Wars 2’s third expansion has been revealed. End of Dragons sends you off to an island shrouded in mystery, which has been silent for about 200 years. This expansion is scheduled to be released sometime in 2021 and you can watch the teaser below:

Last but not least, those who own the Path of Fire expansion will be able to unlock a new ability for their Skimmer mounts. This ability will enable the creature’s hidden potential of diving underwater.

Guild Wars 2 will be available on Steam around November, but you can add it to your wishlist today.

Final Fantasy Legend Collection Announced for the Switch

It was announced during an unexpected Nintendo Direct that three classic Final Fantasy games will be released on the Nintendo Switch to celebrate the SaGa series’ 30th anniversary. On the Nintendo eShop, Collection of SaGa Final Fantasy Legend will be available for $19.99 on December 15, 2020.

Final Fantasy Legend, otherwise known as SaGa in Japan, was “the first Game Boy RPG to sell over a million units” according to PCMag. Now, in this collection, Square Enix has resurrected the original SaGa trio — Final Fantasy Legend, Final Fantasy Legend II, and Final Fantasy Legend III.

Originally, all three were released on the Game Boy in 1989, 1990, and 1991, respectively. Other games were also released for the SaGa franchise throughout the years e.g. Imperial SaGa Eclipse in 2019.

Since these games will be available on a much newer console, it comes with new features as well, such as a high-speed mode and the ability to adjust screen magnification. If you wish to play the games with an air of nostalgia, you can remove the Joy-Cons and hold the Switch vertically to replicate the Game Boy experience.

Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 Will Be Coming Soon

Tetris and Puyo Puyo have once again blended together to create the brilliant Puyo Puyo Tetris 2. This sequel will include not only new puzzles, but a new story mode as well. Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 will be released on gaming consoles such as the Switch, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PS4 on December 8, 2020. Meanwhile, a Steam release is scheduled around early 2021.

Most of us know what Tetris is and how it works, since we’ve played it since childhood. However, what’s Puyo Puyo? Well, it’s a pretty similar game to Tetris, but instead of clearing out blocks, you have to match the adorable spheres into four colors.

Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 allows you to play both games separately if you choose to, but the fun starts when you play both at the same time i.e. you mix the two together. According to Puyo Puyo’s official twitter account, the sequel will also include a Skill Battle mode. This mode features character-based skills that will assist you in winning the match.

Not only that, but the all-familiar single-player Adventure mode makes a comeback, where you will meet both new and old characters. Online play will also be available like before, this time with a free play mode that allows you to play with up to four players at a time.

After the launch, you can except constant content updates from the developers.

The Witcher Is Getting Its Own Mobile AR Game

The Witcher franchise has taken various forms since its original book series by Andrzej Sapkowski. It has a well-received Netflix adaptation, a card game, a table-top roleplaying game, and now, a mobile augmented reality game similar to Pokemon Go is in the making.

On Wednesday, CD Projekt announced The Witcher: Monster Slayer, a location-based AR RPG mobile game that’s free to play on both Android and iOS. It’s developed and published by Spokko, who is also a member of CD Projekt. They released a trailer for the game as well, which you can watch below:

Not much is known about the game so far, but from what we can glean from the trailer, it’s a game that’s very similar to Pokemon Go wherein you walk around with your phone and encounter different monsters. Instead of trying to capture Pokemon, though, you’ll be faced with terrifying creatures that you’ll have to defeat.

CD Projekt also states in their announcement:

“The game, featuring console-grade visuals, challenges you to explore the world around you while tracking, studying, and fighting monsters. You can use time of day and real-life weather conditions to your advantage, but most importantly, always come to the fight prepared! In order to defeat tougher enemies you can brew powerful potions and oils, craft bombs and monster bait as well as upgrade your character’s skills and equipment.”

There’s more to the game than just walking around, though. You will have to do story-driven quests that will take you on adventures throughout your area. There’s no release date yet, but we hope it’s after the pandemic so that we can experience The Witcher: Monster Slayer in its full glory.

Black Ops: Cold War Gives You the Option to Create Gender-Neutral Character

We recently discussed Call of Duty’s Black Ops: Cold War and now, we have received more updates regarding this highly-anticipated game. One notable change is the fact that you will now have the ability to make your very own character who can be referred to with gender-neutral pronouns.

In order to start your Cold War campaign, creating your character is first on the to-do list. During Gamespot’s preview, they noted that you can choose your name, gender, skin tone, military background, among others. However, you also have the option to choose “Classified.”

As for the gender options, you can choose between male, female, and classified. What’s exciting about this third option is that the game will treat it as a gender-neutral option. As such, your character will be referred to as “they/them,” even in voiced dialogue.

In a roundtable discussion, creative director Dan Vondrak discussed the decision to add a gender-neutral option. Vondrak said that they didn’t want to exclude anybody, and so they decided to add a “classified” option for the character’s background or place of birth in case players don’t find an option that they want. With regards to the pronouns, he stated:

“So when it came to gender, that same idea was thrown in: Why can’t we leave it classified? There’s no reason we can’t do that. We were already going to make [the game] change to he/she [for male/female options] so it was easy enough for us to use different pronouns [they/them].”

Understandably, these options won’t change the game drastically, but it’s a breath of fresh air to have a game be more inclusive. That being said, all spoken dialogue will refer to your character as “Bell.”

On the other hand, your character will not be voiced, despite the fact that you will have dialogue options at some parts of the game. Vondrak said that in part, this is because they want your character to be consistent with the idea you have in your head, and adding a voice to that could possibly ruin your preferences.

Asides from this, you can also customize your character’s psychological profile. In this customization option, you choose a pair of traits out of 15 possible ones and each has its own perks. For instance, choosing “Violent Tendencies” will increase your bullet damage by 25%.

So far, we’re highly impressed with what Black Ops: Cold War has to offer and we’re counting down the days until we can get our hands on this game.

Mafia: Definitive Edition Feels Like a Brand-New Game

The gaming community doesn’t get as many open-world period pieces as much as it used to, that’s why everyone is so hyped for Mafia: Definitive Edition – a complete remake of the original Mafia game back in 2002. It’s highly likely that gamers haven’t touched the Mafia franchise in a while, as such, most will view this remake with fresh, new eyes.

You play as cab driver Tommy Angelo, who finds himself entangled with the mob. Eventually, though, he becomes an important part of the gang. As a mobster, you will be tasked to do various missions, with your associates Sam and Paulie.

Upon getting a quick glimpse of the gameplay, we’re so happy to see that they didn’t decide on a quick remaster. Instead, the developers really remade the game from the ground up. It may not be exactly like other big budget games such as Red Dead Redemption, but compared to the original 2002 game, it’s absolutely gorgeous.

That being said, it’s best to note that if you haven’t played the original Mafia, driving vehicles in the game will need some getting used to. After all, the game is set in the 1930’s, and cars back then didn’t exactly run that fast nor that smoothly.

However, the driving model for the game is something that we can appreciate, since you can really feel the time period. As a matter of fact, you can even get in trouble with the police if they find you speeding. Although, this is something that you can toggle off in the Definitive Edition.

Unlike other open-world games these days, Mafia: Definitive Edition is driven by the storyline and so, it doesn’t have you waste your time meandering. There aren’t a million necessary side quests, too – definitely something we appreciate.

This doesn’t mean that you’ll run out of things to do in the game, though. The missions are different – from shootouts to racing. Combat for the Definitive Edition doesn’t have any surprises; basically, it’s your average third-person shooter. There are different kinds of weapons you can use, too, like Molotov cocktails, pistols, shotguns, and more.

After how many years, the Mafia franchise is still beloved by so many gamers worldwide and the Definitive Edition is, without a doubt, a great addition. The game will be available this September 25 on platforms such as the PlayStation 4, Steam, and Xbox One. If you pre-order the game, you will be able to unlock The Chicago Outfit pack.
