Call of Duty Mobile Reveals Mythic Fennec SMG Launch Date

The consistently growing nature of Call of Duty Mobile leads to frequent additions of new weapons, game modes, and maps. A new weapon rarity has been long teased to arrive in the game in the near future, and the first gun to have the exclusive rarity attached to it will be the Fennec SMG.

The fast-killing Fennec submachine gun is not going to have a power boost through its mythic rarity, which should come as a reprieve to a lot of players that have been instantly killed by the weapon. Instead, the mythical Fennec releasing on November 6 will make the gun more visually attractive through evolving cosmetics.

Taking a similar approach as the reactive camo from Call of Duty Black Ops 4, the Fennec will be consistently changing its appearance as a match goes on. While the developers have yet to confirm how the SMG will change its colors, killing enemies seem to be the trigger the effect given its similarities to the Black Ops 4 camo as well as Modern Warfare’s pumpkin heads.

The official Twitter account of Call of Duty Mobile recently posted a teaser trailer of the mythical weapon which feature s various attachments installed to the gun as its colors change to blue, red, and orange. The weapon’s overall appearance looks really stylish compared to other camouflage options that currently exist within the game, and this mythic gun will most likely be desired by fans of the Fennec SMG.

In a community update posted on Reddit that explained Call of Duty Mobile’s Undead Fog event, mythic rarity weapons were confirmed to exist beyond the Fennec. With the “brand new rarity level all about badass cosmetics,” they are likely a lot more mythic items and weapons on the way for Call of Duty Mobile.

The development team also revealed that the new mythic rarity will extend beyond just guns, so battle royale equipment and vehicles might receive mythic variants in the future as well. One candidate for the next mythic gun is the overpowered NA-45 sniper rifle, as the weapon has been removed from competitive play the day it was launched.

While the gun will obviously nerfed and made legal during competitive matches soon, a mythic variant to celebrate its release would be a fun nod. CD Projekt Red’s shares have gone down by 25% since August. The speculated crunch and the multiple delays of Cyberpunk 2077 have taken its toll and is chipping away the confidence of investors.

According to multiple reports, CD Projekt Red’s market price has been steadily declining in the past two months. The company is now in a sharp and steady downfall as their highly anticipated game has been delayed again. The studio’s conditions are also making investors doubt their stability.

Back in the last week of August, CD Projekt Red had a market cap that tallied to over 42 million Polish zlotych. When converted, amounts to more than $10 billion, with an individual share price of 416 zlotych or $116.50.

This peak has much to do with the company’s state of affairs in August. During that time, the studio launched a Witcher AR game, similar to hit game Pokemon Go, and Cyberpunk 2077 was also receiving tons of media attention and looked like it was firm with its launch date.

However, it seems like the company’s bubble has popped this month and investors are now uncertain of what is happening inside the company, and it shows. By the end of October, CD Projekt Red’s market price is now playing by just 331 to 335 zloty.

The value converts to around $85, which is 25% lower compared to its value in August. As of writing, negative media presence and mistrust inside the company are playing a major part in the downfall. Most of CD Projekt Red’s value comes from how it operates with the media and perception of the capabilities of the company. Both potential and actual share values all come from how the world recognizes their work.

CD Projekt Red’s current market value is unpredictable, for good or bad. The company’s value relies on how fans all over the world see their proficiency as game developers. In the beginning, CD Projekt Red’s market value began shooting up from providing good Cyberpunk 2077 news.

The rise of their shares also came from positive feedback on Witcher games such as the successful season 1 of the Netflix series and the release of a new mobile game. However, the same can be said about the decline of their value.

The recent controversies faced by the Polish gaming studio are now making investors indecisive. The multiple delays of Cyberpunk 2077 have made fans frustrated about the status of the company and another push back of the game’s release will likely be a very disastrous decision.

The crunch inside the company is making investors doubtful too. CD Projekt Red Co-CEO Adam Kicinski denied rumors of the crunch during their last financial update but used words that felt out of touch. This didn’t please everyone, which resulted in bad media exposure again.

CD Projekt Red is currently losing money right now from the decline of its market value. While fans expect this to go up once Cyberpunk 2077 is released, its unstable nature makes long term decisions problematic.

UK Next-Gen Console Preorders Might Be Delayed As Prime Minister Orders Lockdown

Boris Johnson, England’s Prime Minister, has just ordered a lockdown across entire England resulting in the closedown of all physical shops until December. This is huge news in the region which will likely have a negative impact on the video game industry, specifically the release of the next-gen consoles – the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

The lockdown is scheduled to start on November 5 and will continue until December 3. This provides shoppers a small window to buy things for the holidays, including only 22 days for the Yuletide season. This also means that the lockdown will be in full effect during the scheduled releases of the next-gen consoles, adding more fire to this year’s console wars.

Physical stores including GAME and Smyths catered to Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 preorders last month. Most fans took advantage of the opportunity to preorder and participate in the next generation of gaming, but this lockdown might change things a bit.

Sellers will need to come up with a plan on how to distribute the new consoles and games instead of canceling the preorders, and it might be that they become Click-and-Collect distributors. Click-and-Collect areas allow people to make purchases online then pick them up through a curbside-pickup kind of scenario.

During the lockdown, all non-essential shops will be closed such as pubs, restaurants, and more. Obviously, physical video game shops fall under this category. Players must then touch the rock to initiate a battle with Regigigas for a chance to catch it.

Sony has announced all of the various accessibility features that will be available on the PlayStation 5. My Hero Academia Ultra Impact Coming to Mobile Devices in 2021

There has been a lot of highly-acclaimed anime titles as of late, and My Hero Academia (or Boku no Hero Academia in Japanese) is one of these titles. That being said, we have good news for the fans of the anime and manga series, as a brand-new free-to-play mobile game for My Hero Academia is currently in the works and will be released some time in 2021.

This news was announced in the highly popular Japanese shounen manga magazine known as Jump. The localized title of the game is My Hero Academi Ultra Impact. That being said, the existence of this game was initially discovered by fans despite not having an official announcement yet because some magazine subscribers were able to receive their issues earlier than planned.

After the issue was officially released though, Bandai Namco revealed that the game will have a closed beta that will only run for one weekend from November 6th through November 9th. Although, only Japanese fans will be able to participate in this beta test for now.

Also, those Japanese fans who use iOS devices, sadly, won’t be able to take part, as the beta test is only for Android devices at the moment. No worries, though! We’re sure that the developer will release more beta tests in the future, so we’ll just have to wait for our eventual turn.

Just like a lot of anime-inspired mobile games these days, My Hero Academia Ultra Impact will be implementing a gacha system.

For those who are unfamiliar, a gacha system is a commonly-used mechanic in many free-to-play games wherein players have a chance to obtain random characters or items. In addition to the gacha system, there will be optional micro-transactions as well.

As such, those who have a tendency to easily give in when it comes to spending money should be careful. After all, gacha games are known to be quite addictive and can really exploit those who have bad spending habits.

This is somewhat similar to the way Genshin Impact has been criticized by some players for its gacha system, as some have found themselves spending thousands upon thousands of dollars on the game.

In other news, My Hero Academia Ultra Impact will be based on the original storyline of the anime and manga, and will feature many familiar characters. In addition, the mobile game will be making use of a turn-based battle system. House of Ashes Revealed to Be the Next Dark Pictures Anthology Installment

Even though The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope by Supermassive Games has been recently released, it appears that the developer is already preparing for its next installment. At the end of Little Hope, Supermassive has secretly included a trailer for the next title, House of Ashes.

Long-time fans wouldn’t be surprised by this discovery though, as Little Hope was initially revealed in a similar fashion – as a scene that takes place after the Man of Medan’s credits finished rolling.

Another factor that makes House of Ashes somewhat similar to Little Hope is the fact that each of them has its own unique setting and mood. In other words, House of Ashes looks and feels nothing like the previous games in the franchise, or at least that’s the vibe we’re getting from the secret trailer.

From what we can infer, the upcoming entry will be all about soldiers and specialists in Afghanistan who, somehow, stumble across some kind of powerful evil. It’s definitely worth noting how the game will feature a woman who looks very much like Ashley Tisdale.

The trailer is only less than a minute long though, so it’s definitely a teaser more than anything – and we’re definitely teased! We can’t wait to find out more about House of Ashes.

Speaking of the teaser trailer, it starts by showing American helicopters passing through a rough and rocky terrain that looks somewhat similar to Afghanistan’s Hindu Kush. As the video continues, we can hear someone – most probably an American soldier – talk about how they were attacked by something they couldn’t even begin to explain.

The soldier-slash-narrator goes on to talk about an ancient abyss where the dead would go to lament and to “live on dust, plagued by the demons of the underworld.” As the trailer progresses, we can see these soldiers explore what looks to be a dark and terribly mysterious cave, with a statue of a Demon even making an appearance.

At this point, it’s safe to assume that this mysterious and powerful evil has burrowed deep underground. According to GamesRadar, they have made the assumption that House of Ashes will be contending with Pazuzu, the demon king of the wind in ancient Mesopotamian religion, along with demonic entities from the netherworld.

Based on the trailer, we assume that some parts of the game will take place in Afghanistan or perhaps the Arabian desert.

After reviewing the teaser, we can really see just how House of Ashes is different from the previous titles, Man of Medan and Little Hope. Asides from the plot and where the game is set, House of Ashes seems to have more action as well, as we can see soldiers shooting rounds upon rounds at an enemy that wasn’t shown in the trailer.

However, this doesn’t mean that being able to shoot with guns in House of Ashes is a guarantee. However, if players really can do that in-game, this would be a major change from The Dark Pictures’ QTE-heavy gameplay mechanics. Plus, soldiers seem to play an important role in this upcoming title, so it would make sense if it will include even just a little bit of gun shooting.

The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes is set to release by 2021. Although Supermassive Games hasn’t revealed the platforms, we assume that it will be available on both current-gen and next-gen consoles.

How to Get John Wick Hitman Operative in Watch Dogs Legion

Watch Dogs Legion features an expansive library of interesting characters including a Hitman Operative character inspired by the John Wick film franchise.

John Wick fans will be excited to know that the famous action movie will be featured on Watch Dogs Legion. While the image of Keanu Reeves will not be used for the character, fans will still have a lot of reasons to enjoy the game. This is because the developer created their own version of the Hitman Operative character.

When Ubisoft launched the first Watch Dogs game in 2014, players were introduced to the endeared Aiden Pearce. For Watch Dogs 2, the action was focused on Marcus Holloway. However, for Watch Dogs Legion, the players are the main characters themselves.

What makes the latest installment of the series unique from the previous games is the fact that there are no main characters to control. In Watch Dogs Legion, players create their own characters and enlist other in-game characters to aid them in their adventure. This way, the game makes the player a nobody and everybody at the same time.

Among the in-game characters, players can enlist a John Wick-inspired Hitman Operative. This particular operative has a lot of unique traits that acknowledges the hitmen from the popular action movie. Any Watch Dogs Legion player who is also a fan of the John Wick movie franchise would surely love to control this character through the busy streets of London.

Unlocking the John Wick Hitman Operative is really easy. All players have to do is finish a particular mission in the game. Here is a step-by-step instruction to unlocking the character:

  1. Head over to the Night Elms area
  2. Start the Neutralize VIP mission
  3. Eliminate an enemy drone while documenting photographic evidence using a cargo drone.
  4. Acquire a keycard by hacking a nearby computer using a spider gadget.
  5. The mission will be completed once a player is able to take down the Albion Contractor and take over the entire Night Elms location.

When these tasks are done, the game will congratulate the player and will be granted access to the Hitman Operative. The character’s loadout is as follows:

  • Albion Vendetta: Extra Faction Damage
  • Combat Roll: Evasive Dodge
  • Gunkata: Instant Gun Takedowns
  • Desert Eagle + G36: Weapon Arsenal

However, it is worth noting that not everyone will get the same loadout as this one, but their stats and weapons will always be the same. The main difference is that players will have the opportunity of acquiring a female operative rather than a male.

Watch Dogs Legion is now available for the Xbox One, Stadia, PlayStation 4, and PC. The game will also be available for the next-gen consoles this November.

 

League of Legends RPG Spinoff ‘Ruined King’ Will Be Released in 2021

League of Legends, despite being a relatively old franchise, still finds various ways to remain relevant in an overly-saturated industry. League of Legends: Wild Rift was only recently released for mobile devices, but Riot Games still has a lot planned.

It appears that the next game up its sleeves is a League of Legends spinoff RPG called Ruined King. Riot Forge, a division of Riot Games that’s responsible for publishing League of Legends spinoffs, has revealed more information about the game along with its scheduled release date.

Ruined King: A League of Legends Story is set to release on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Steam, and the Epic Games Store some time in 2021. On the other hand, it will be launched on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S versions shortly after its initial launch.

For those who get the game on their respective PS4’s and Xbox One’s and plan to upgrade to the next-gen consoles, they will, fortunately, be able to upgrade the game for free.

Asides from its expected release window, the publisher has also shared other details about the upcoming title, such as the fact that it’s going to be a singleplayer, turn-based game. In addition to that, Ruined King will be set in Runeterra – or more specifically, in the Bilgewater and Shadow Isles regions of that planet.

Another exciting detail that was revealed by Riot Forge is the list of characters that will be available in Ruined King. League of Legends fans will definitely know who they are, as Ruined King’s roster of playable characters will still be League of Legends champions. Namely, you will be able to play as Miss Fortune, Illaoi, Braum, Yasuo, Ahri, and Pyke.

At the moment, Riot Forge hasn’t given fans a preview of the upcoming RPG’s gameplay just yet. However, the publisher has told fans that it will provide more information about the title before the year ends.

That being said, this will be the first game that will be released under Riot Forge’s label. After all, it’s a pretty new indie publishing label by Riot Games, only having been revealed to the public last year.

This was Riot Games’ way of collaborating with other talented developers in order to expand and improve the League of Legends universe into other games and genres. It’s actually quite nice to know that Riot is willing to widen its horizons and that it’s not boxing its highly-popular franchise into one category.

Among other things, Riot Forge is also working on another League of Legends spinoff called Convergence, which is developed by Double Stallion Games. Convergence will be released on consoles and PC as well, just like Ruined King, although this title doesn’t have a release window just yet.

For now, that’s all the upcoming League of Legends games. In other words, two titles will be added to the franchise’s ever-increasing library of games. The card game called Legends of Runeterra was also released earlier this year – a complete deviation from League of Legends’ usual genre.

LEAK: Black Panther Coming to Marvel’s Avengers

Recently, fans of the 2020 RPG Marvel’s Avengers have been experiencing a drought in terms of new content, as Crystal Dynamics has been working to further improve the game and its already-existing features and content.

However, it appears that fans may be seeing new content soon, as it has been leaked that Black Panther will be coming to the game. Dedicated players were able to discover a set of icons that look like symbols.

These symbols could be an indication of the different abilities Black Panther will have once he’s part of the game. However, what’s even more exciting is that they were able to uncover an image of Black Panther himself.

The developer already teased the addition of the King of Wakanda back in September during one particular War Table for Marvel’s Avengers. Crystal Dynamics initially wanted to show off the character at a much earlier time, however, they decided to postpone this after the passing of Chadwick Boseman.

That being said, there is no indication just yet as to when Black Panther’s inclusion in the game will go live. Although, there are two DLCs on the way that will introduce the two different Hawkeyes to Marvel’s Avengers, so we expect him to arrive around early 2021.

Even though Marvel’s Avengers’ launch wasn’t the best, with fans complaining about the existence of all kinds of bugs and glitches, the game can still be considered a success sales-wise. In addition to that, Crystal Dynamics has promised fans that the RPG will only improve going forward.

In any case, dataminers previously leaked a video that contained all kinds of concept art and future inclusions, and it appears that a hardcore fan who goes by Miller on Twitter has been picking apart these findings. As such, he was able to discover new things on his own, such as symbols that could possibly represent abilities.

If these are truly abilities, then we can only assume that they are either linked to T’Challa is some way, or it refers to another DLC character such as Kate Bishop. These symbols look like representations of different things, and right now, we can only guess what they could possibly mean. If they’re not abilities, then they might be mission logos instead, or perhape gear elements.

In other news, Crystal Dynamics has teased its fans that 2021 will bring all kinds of new content to Marvel’s Avengers, such as a new region, story arc, as well as a new character. Although most of us believe this new DLC character to be Black Panther and the new region to be Wakanda, the developer hasn’t revealed anything just yet.

If the King of Wakanda truly does arrive to the game though, he will most likely be using a different outfit than what we’re used to. You see, Miller has also shared a few concept art of Black Panther along with War Machine, who is another leaked character. Based on these images, T’Challa’s costume in Marvel’s Avengers is definitely more unique.

Although there are those gamers who believe that Marvel’s Avengers is already a dying game despite being released only recently, we hope that players’ interest in the title will be reawakened after Black Panther’s release.
