Valorant Episode 2: When Will It Start?

With Valorant Episode 1 Act 3 already released globally, most fans are already waiting for the arrival of the game’s next episode.

Time has gone so fast for Valorant players. While most players would feel like it has not been that long when Riot Games first launched the game, the reality is that the game has already gone through Act 1 and Act 2, and soon they will also witness the end of Act 3.

The release of Act 3 has introduced a lot of changes to Valorant including new agents, improved battle pass, and even a new map. In fact, the development team initially planned to add the new map Icebox in Episode 2. So, when they released it in Act 3, many were caught surprised. Now that Act 3 is in motion, everyone is excited to know when the next episode will start.

Episode 2 Possible Start Date

When the developers released the first two Acts, they lasted for about eight weeks each. However, Riot Games has other plans prepared for Act 3. Instead of the usual eight weeks, the new Act will linger around twelve weeks. This means Act 3 will end in the first weeks of 2021.

Act 3 was released last October 13, which most likely puts its conclusion on January 13, 2021. However, this is all just pure theory right now since the developers haven’t made any official announcements on the exact date Act 3 will end.

However, the only thing that is guaranteed is that when Act 3 ends, Episode 2 will automatically start.

What To Expect From Episode 2

Because Riot Games released a new map this early, it’s probable that players won’t receive a new map after Episode 2 has launched. However, knowing the developers, fans never really know.

Recent Valorant leaks suggest a new game mode is coming in Episode 2 called Snowball. Players can also expect more new improvements and features to launch in the new episode. However, what players can anticipate is the debut of a new Agent.

The developers haven’t provided any specific details about the new Agent but Tier 48 on the current battle pass reveals a dog tag with the Latin words “Memento Mori” encrypted in it. The phrase when translated has something to do with death.

First tournament

While information about Valorant’s Episode 2 is a little bit scarce, the same can’t be said about its eSports scene. No player can deny that Valorant is already a huge game in eSports. However, most of the tournaments organized for the game were held by third-party organizers.

Now, the first-ever Riot Games-organized tournament will be happening soon. Riot Games is obviously not a newcomer to the eSports scene as the company is the one behind one of the most successful eSports in the world – League of Legends.

Beginning on European countries first, the developers will launch the open qualifiers for Valorant First Strike: Europe starting November 9 until November 22. The qualified teams will then face each other at the championships from December 3 to December 6.

Riot Games is also preparing the first stages of the Southeast Asian Valorant championships.

Steve’s Crafting Table in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Players Used as a Shield by Players

The announcement of Steve from Minecraft’s addition to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate earlier this month took the video game community by surprise. Not only will the iconic character be brought over to Nintendo’s fighting game, but his addition comes with some of Minecraft’s signature elements.

These include Steve’s tools, three additional skins that come with the character, as well as an ever-shifting map that changes between the different biomes available in Minecraft. One other iconic addition is the fact that players are given the ability to mine the map for resources, which you can then use to craft various weapons by using the familiar crafting table.

That being said, it appears that fans have recently started using the crafting table for other uses asides from, well, crafting. You see, the crafting table can be manually placed wherever so that you can craft anywhere at your convenience.

However, user VG_Chat shared on Reddit their discovery, revealing that there’s another way to use the table.

Apparently, the crafting table can be used as a powerful shield, as it’s capable of blocking strong abilities and moves from some of the strongest fighters in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. In VG_Chat’s Reddit post, the user showcases a pretty good example of how the crafting table is able to stop the Green Missile side special of Luigi.

In the video, we can see Luigi powering up to perform the action. However, as soon as he launches towards Steve, Luigi simply hits the box and bounces back. As a matter of fact, Luigi would have to perform the Green Missile ability at least two times before he can break the table.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate players gathered in the post’s comment section to discuss other moves that the crafting table is reported to nullify. These include Squirtle’s Withdraw, Charizard’s side B, Banjo’s Wonder Wing, and Incineroar’s Revenge. It’s really quite incredible how these impressive moves are hindered by a simple table made out of pixelated blocks.

That being said, players still haven’t decided as to whether or not this move is considered a cheap one. Some players have been defending it by saying that Steve still needs to gather wood in order to build the crafting table.

As such, if an enemy gets to break through the crafting table-turned-shield and is able to stay on Steve, then this means that the Minecraft character won’t be able to use the shield tactic once more.

On the other hand, fans dispute this theory by saying that wood is an extremely easy resource to come by. In other words, Steve has the potential to continuously create crafting tables in order to protect himself from vicious attacks.

In other news, many Super Smash Bros. Ultimate players have come to realize Steve’s potential, even going so far as to say that he could be one of the most promising fighters in the brawler’s roster.

Given how absolutely powerful the crafting table is, we’re interested to see whether or not Nintendo will nerf it in an upcoming update. For now, however, we expect a lot of players to take advantage of this technique while the studio hasn’t done anything about it yet.

Rare Charizard Pokemon Card Purchased by YouTuber Logan Paul for $150,000

If you’re an enthusiast of collecting Pokemon cards, then you’re more than aware that there are countless cards out there that cost more now than their original price. One of these extremely rare and expensive cards include the PSA-graded 10 Charizard card, which was included in the first sets of Pokemon trading cards.

This card is considered to be one of the rarest in the world and, as a matter of fact, there are only 100 copies of it known to exist. As such, the controversial YouTube personality Logan Paul bought this very same card lately for $150,000 USD. He purchased it from a quite famous private collector for his own personal collection.

This may or may not come as a surprise to you, but Logan Paul is actually a Pokemon card collector himself. During one of his recent podcasts, the infamous YouTuber detailed how his pet dog nearly ate his PSA 9 Charizard card, which is also rare.

The good thing is that he still has the card, but the downside is that the card lost a bit of its value due to what happened.

That being said, you might be familiar with Gary the “Pokemon King,” the private collector from whom Logan Paul bought the card from, as he was previously featured on a very popular American reality TV show called Pawn Stars.

It was during this appearance when he showcased his selection of rare Charizard cards, saying that he was willing to sell them. He ended up leaving the show having sold nothing. However, the twist to this story is that he, later on, revealed that he never actually planned on selling the cards and only did it to attract attention.

Logan Paul was serious about buying a card though, so he decided to fly out to Las Vegas to meet up with Gary. At first, he wanted to get a Beckett BGS-graded 10 Charizard card, which is so rare that there’s only two known to have ever existed.

However, he wasn’t able to push through with that plan because the card was so important to Gary on a deep, personal level.

Instead of continuing his initial plan, the YouTuber decided to just buy Gary’s PSA 10 1st Edition Charizard card. In Logan Paul’s video, he can be seen carrying a suitcase containing $150,000 USD in cash.

In the end, both the seller and the buyer were satisfied with how their deal played out, as this last card is all that’s left to complete his planned personal collection, while Gary didn’t have to part ways with a card that meant a lot to him.

Of course, Gary was still saddened by the fact that he had to let go of one of his rare Charizard cards. However, it’s not too bad of a loss for him because he actually still has six more copies of the same card Logan Paul bought off of him.

A person spending this amount of money just for a Pokemon card isn’t something unheard of, though. Previously, famous rapper Logic spent $183,000 USD at an auction just to get his hands on one of these rare Charizard cards.

New Cyberpunk 2077 Trailer Showcases Different Vehicle Classes

CD Projekt Red’s Night City Wire series is still ongoing, and the latest episode revealed a bunch of exciting information regarding Cyberpunk 2077. To be more specific, the developer took this latest episode as an opportunity to detail one of the most important aspects of Cyberpunk 2077’s gameplay.

In this case, the video showcases the extensive collection of vehicles that are available in the game, which are separated into different classes, including motorcycles, cars, trucks, and every other kind of automobile.

First on the list is the RPG’s “Economy” class, which we assume is the kind of vehicle that players will easily have enough money for at the beginning of the game. However, just because they’re significantly cheaper and easy to come by than the rest doesn’t mean they’re good for nothing.

Some of these cars are efficient; for example, the Makigai car may look like a small Smart Car or a Tuk Tuk, but its size allows it to easily drive through areas that other larger cars won’t be able to. As a matter of fact, the trailer even shows it driving up the stairs.

According to the brand-new trailer, there will be more to the Economy class than being just affordable i.e. there will be a lot of specific-use vehicles included in this class. For instance, the trailer gives us a glimpse of a police car, albeit we don’t think this was obtained through legal means.

There’s also a worker’s van featured in the trailer, as well as what appears to be “a chop shop street racing car.” Basically, what connects these ragtag Economy vehicles is the fact that they’re either well-used already or reconstructed and pieced together.

Next up we have the Executive class, which definitely looks significantly better than the former class. These vehicles are basically the Audi, Bentley, and Rolls-Royce versions of Night City’s cars. However, the brands mentioned in the trailer include Villefort, Chevillon, and Delamain.

They look fancy and expensive, in fact, they probably are. This class of vehicles looks great for carrying more than one person, which will probably come in handy at some point in Cyberpunk 2077.

The next class is categorized as “Heavy Duty” and the vehicles under this class are probably more expensive than the ones in Executive. Under this class are non-civilian vehicles that are bulky yet sturdy e.g. cars that are most likely suited for military or construction work. In retrospect, its power is what makes it a great vehicle in its own way.

The last two classes are probably going to feature the kind of cars players will most likely look for in Cyberpunk 2077. There’s the Sport class, which obviously features vehicles that are flashy and extremely fast. The cars under this class are perfect for street racing, running away from the police, or if you simply want a vehicle that’s all about speed.

Lastly, the Hypercars class contains vehicles that look more like concept cars rather than something you can actually drive. What’s more, they’re definitely flashier than the Sport class, which is saying something. We can already imagine that Cyberpunk 2077 players will clamor for this class most of all.

Players Get to Visit Asgard and Jotunheim in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

Many fans who are looking forward to testing out Assassin’s Creed Valhalla don’t have to wait too long at this point, but recently-released details about the title will surely make them all the more excited.

It’s common knowledge that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will have players journey through different locations. However, during an interview with PCGamesN, Game Director Eric Baptizat said that players will also have the opportunity to visit Asgard and Jotunheim, both classic Norse realms, all thanks to a new element added to the game called vision quests.

Baptizat has helped with the series’ development ever since Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag, so he understands the franchise more than most. He mentions that mythology and religion play a huge role in the history and world of Valhalla, so its team of developers ensured that both of these elements would be made obvious in the game through the characters’ beliefs and the choices they make.

From what we can see, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is once again another installment that blurs the line between mythology and history. In fact, this is made more evident now that the title has vision quests.

Through a vision quest, players will be able to traverse the other realms found in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. You can start the quest by talking to a shaman who goes by the name Valka.

Despite being a new title that hasn’t been released yet, it has a sense of familiarity because it recapitulates on the same mechanics that was initially introduced in Assassin’s Creed Origins and refined in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.

That being said, those who are fans of Assassin’s Creed’s older games will be happy to know that Valhalla will also feature some classic elements, including stalking enemies throughout the town, hidden blades, as well as cutscenes taking place after assassinating someone.

All of these and more will be present in Valhalla and will feel nostalgic for those dedicated fans who have been following the franchise and all its entries.

One important aspect of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is the fact that it will continue the modern-day storyline that started in Origins. In other words, Layla Hassan will return to the series once again. The last time fans saw her was in the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey DLC.

However, what we do know is that there will be scenes where she will be free-running and climbing obstacles in places that will also be featured in the timeline of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. In addition, Layla will be uncovering new data regarding the history of the series.

In other news, Ubisoft has been busy when it comes to promoting the highly-anticipated title. In fact, the company will be collaborating with Reebok to release a brand-new line of shoes inspired by Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

A teaser is the only thing that has been released so far for that partnership, but the hashtag #LikeAViking is already being used to promote the shoe line. As such, we expect that the marketing team will go all-out once they’re ready.

Valorant Dataminer Leaks Possibility of Snowball Fights

It’s common for holiday-themed game modes to become available in multiplayer titles near the end of the year, and it appears that Riot Games already has something planned for Valorant this year. Recently, dataminers were able to find evidence showing that a snow-themed mode will be making its way to the popular title this upcoming winter season.

Since its initial launch back in June, Valorant has seen considerable growth both in content and in fanbase. As a matter of fact, the tactical first-person shooter just recently kicked off its third Act with patch 1.10, which includes a new battle pass, level, quality-of-life improvements, and other exciting features that will keep you immersed and engaged for hours on end.

The new map, in particular, comes at a really opportune time. The new update brought with it a brand-new ice-cold map called Icebox, which seems like the perfect setting for the recently-leaked “Snowball Mode.”

Information about the possible new mode is scarce, but dataminers were able to procure some of its associated tags which contain words such as rapid fire, bouncy, growball, and skates. This list of words has definitely been intriguing to many players.

From what we can speculate, these tags most likely pertain to mode-specific abilities that will take the place of or possibly even increase the tactical options available. However, there’s also a chance that they could refer to unique orbs, or a completely different mechanic altogether.

Most of the tags appear to refer to various kinds of snowballs, but there’s one tag that’s worth noting. The “skates” tag could be an indication that Valorant will introduce a new movement ability.

Previously, Game Director Joe Ziegler teased fans by saying that Riot has plans to add new casual game modes to Valorant, and this upcoming snowball-themed one could be a part of that.

We’re not altogether surprised by this potential new mode though, as Riot is known for releasing innovative limited-time game modes in League of Legends, which is another popular title of theirs.

Valorant fans have already shown an eagerness towards eccentric challenges, which can be seen in the way they gobbled up casual, custom game modes, including the popular Laser Chase mode that was created by another user.

It may seem that players can expect exhilarating things to arrive in Valorant this season, but there’s just one thing that can possibly put a damper to your excitement. More specifically, Riot Games is unenthusiastic about the idea of Agent skins.

Non-weapon skins aren’t something that they’re keen on adding because the company thinks that these could affect the competitive integrity of Valorant, even though seasonal skins in League of Legends and Overwatch have always remained popular throughout the years.

That being the case, Riot Games also didn’t completely squash the possibility, so there’s a chance it might change its mind in the future. Having Agent skins along with the release of the snowball-themed mode would have been a great sight to behold, though.

In other news, fans can expect other improvements added to Valorant in the future aside from the regular bug fixes. For one thing, Riot has confirmed that they plan to rework the ranking system of the game, as well as include a feature that prevents players from repeatedly getting queued into the same maps.

These upcoming additions will surely keep Valorant fresh and relevant for many months to come.

Resident Evil 8 Producer Reveals Chris Redfield’s Role In The Game

A Twitter user translated several statements coming from Resident Evil 8 producers which reveal the role of Chris Redfield in the game’s storyline. For the most part, Resident Evil 8’s main plot is still unknown but this new detail will shed more light on what the latest installment in the horror survival series is about and how it connects to the previous games.

Resident Evil 8 was first leaked a few months ago when a reliable source who was close to the game’s developers correctly revealed the game’s release window and codename. There are other rumors and leaks emerging about the game since then that it became really hard to keep track of all of them.

Most of these speculations were officially confirmed when Resident Evil 8 was introduced during the PlayStation 5 Showcase last July. Despite this, a lot of fans are still perplexed as to what quantity characters like Chris Redfield and Ethan Winters would have in the game.

According to Alex Aniel’s Twitter post, Chris Redfield will actually be prominently featured in the upcoming Resident Evil game. Aniel translated an interview from Famitsu magazine which revealed that Redfield is accountable for Ethan Winters being connected to Resident Evil 8.

Supposedly, Winters fell unconscious for some time after the events of Resident Evil 7 and was taken to the village by Redfield. It is still unclear what Redfield’s intentions are for Winters but it looks like it has something to do with the things he witnessed in the previous game.

There are other bizarre information revealed as the interview progressed as well. Winters is currently in possession of a photo album that once belonged to his wife Mia and somehow the photobook explains some of the events that are currently happening to the protagonist.

There will also be a merchant-like character sporting a trench coat that mysteriously looks like a character in Resident Evil 4. Other leaks have revealed that the new game will have a lot of similarities with Resident Evil 4, so it’s uncertain where particularly the development team is going with this.

Despite receiving several answers to the secret surrounding the upcoming game, it looks like there are even more questions now that need to be solved such as the importance of the photobook, how the protagonist got involved in all of this mess, and why Chris Redfield is acting so peculiar. it seems no one will have the answers to these questions until Resident Evil 8 finally launches.

Bandai Namco Announces Digimon Survive Delayed to 2021

The newest installment to the Digimon game franchise, Digimon Survive, has been an interesting prospect for fans of the series ever since it was revealed for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and Nintendo Switch back in 2018.

The survival strategy RPG was originally meant to be released in 2019 and apparently puts a huge focus on player choice, with a branching story that will guarantee that no two playthroughs are one and the same.

It was later postponed to 2020 back in July 2019, but sadly, it seems Digimon fans are going to wait a little bit longer to get their hands on Digimon Survive. In a press release, Kazumasa Habu, the game’s producer announced that the game will again be delayed until 2021 because of the restrictions brought by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

At the beginning of his announcement, the producer acknowledges Digimon fans for supporting them in these “difficult times” and that the fans serve as motivation for the development team. According to Habu, the development plan had a solid plan to release the game this year however, “current world events have shifted [its] development timing.”

Hanu once again thanked fans for their unending patience and understanding, emphasizing that the Digimon Survive experience will be “a fun and engaging tactical RPG game along with a memorable story for Digimon fans.”

However, Habu didn’t mention if there is a new release date for Digimon Survive going forward, although he did tease that fans can expect new details to be announced in Spring 2021. For fans following the game’s development, this news doesn’t really come much as a surprise because the producer already revealed this when he responded to a fan asking about the development of Digimon Survive a few days ago on Twitter. There, Habu was very honest about the fact that the game still wasn’t ready to be released just yet, telling avid fans that they will have to wait much longer.

Digimon Survive joins a growing library of titles significantly affected by the ongoing global pandemic, with Ember Labs postponing the release of Kena: Bridge of Spirits, 343 studios delaying Halo Infinite, and Arkane pushing back Deathloop’s release date because of the spread of the coronavirus disease.

The good thing is that players will almost surely get a great game when Digimon Survive releases in 2021, with the development team not having to rush things outside the door without being sure that it will be the best game in the franchise to date.
