The core of all these subclasses is a new “freeze” and “shatter” mechanic which we saw a glimpse of in past trailers but are now on full display here. It looks like certain moves in your toolkit can freeze enemies solid and then you are able to shatter them using follow-up abilities, or just regular gunfire. It seems like freezing enemies will not necessarily insta-kill miniboss size enemies, but I’d be surprised if you do not have increased damage to frozen enemies.
Warlock: Shadebinder has a Stasis staff that can shoot out frozen projectiles.
Hunter: Revenant wields duel ice axes as melee weapons that can also be thrown. they also have special ricocheting Stasis throwing stars.
Titan: Behemoth appears to have a Superman Titan style ice punch smash move from above, and the ability to raise glaciers from the ground. Ice armor works as some sort of damage protection as well.
Spellbreak is a free-to-play fantasy battle royale game that we’ve been keeping tabs on for a while now since its development. During Gamescom 2020, though, we were caught by surprise to find out that the game will be released sooner than we expected. Along with their announcement is a pretty cool trailer, which you can view below:
What’s great about this cinematic trailer is the fact that it includes actual gameplay footage so that we have an idea of what to expect once we get our hands on the game. One cool feature you can look forward to is the ability to customize or build your battlemage i.e. you can choose from different classes: Frostborn, Conduit, Pyromancer, Toxicologist, Stoneshaper, or Tempest.
What’s more, there’s less hassle for you if you play on different platforms. This is because whatever customizations you’ve made to your character on – let’s say – your Nintendo Switch, these same settings will reflect on the PC version of Spellbreak if you choose to play there instead.
It’s understandable though if gamers have gotten quite tired of the battle royale genre since there’s been a lot of that recently. However, Spellbreak has a perk that other battle royale games do not, and that’s magical combat.
As the official website states, you aren’t limited to just one element:
“A mighty battlemage isn’t limited to just one ability. Seize hold of two powerful magic gauntlets and blend devastating spell combinations to control the battlefield with fiery tornadoes, electrified gas clouds, and more!”
You can explore the map and find tactical ways to use the area to your advantage in order to defeat other players. Just like other games, you also have the chance to open up chests and pick up items that you can use to your advantage.
Spellbreak is scheduled to launch on September 3, so you don’t have to wait that long to try out this brand-new battle royale experience!
While the Easter egg is not a major story spoiler, we recommend completing The Last of Us Part II at least once before reading further.
Naughty Dog released Grounded and Permadeath modes a few weeks ago in a free update. those who dare try the new difficulty levels and finish The Last of Us Part 2 is treated with a special reward. appearing during the end credits, where Joel is heard singing the full version of his “Future Days” rendition.
Twitter user BeingHuman1993 managed to catch the moment in a PS4 Share clip.
here it is below.
This full version of Joel’s Pearl Jam cover is super special because of its in-game significance. Joel’s first song that he played for Ellie is “Future Days”, shown by the first new scene The Last of Us Part II’s prologue. He evidently taught her to play it as well.
There some instances throughout Ellie’s journey in The Last of Us Part 2 where she will stop and play it herself. on the whole, “Future Days” is a thematic thread, one carefully placed into the experience when the time is right.
Pharaoh: A New Era, a full remake of the 1999 city building game, is among the many titles announced during Gamescom 2020. As mentioned, Pharaoh is a city building game wherein you are tasked to create and maintain an ancient Egyptian city.
With Pharaoh: A New Era, you will be getting a modernized remake. What makes this remake so special, however, is the fact that studio Triskell Interactive decided to redo the game from the ground up. What’s more, it will be able to support 4K, and even the gameplay was updated to fit today’s gaming standards.
Similar to the original Pharaoh, A New Era has a campaign mode that teaches you how the game works, all the while allowing you to experience a fleshed-out story as you explore the metropolis you have built.
Not only that, but this remake has over 50 new missions that you can do as well as over 100 hours of gameplay. These are some of the features that Pharaoh: A New Era has to offer, as listed on its Steam page:

Originally announced way back during BlizzCon 2019, Blizzard finally revealed the release date for World of Warcraft: Shadowlands during Gamescom’s Opening Night Live stream. This will be the eighth expansion for World of Warcraft and will follow the events after the Battle for Azeroth.
Without a shadow of a doubt, Shadowlands will have a multitude of new features to keep gamers on their toes. Not only that, though, but there will be changes made to the residents of Azeroth themselves.
For instance, there will be all kinds of character customization, ensuring that you’re more than satisfied with your character’s looks and build. The cinematic trailer for the expansion is breathtaking as well. If you haven’t seen it yet, you should definitely watch it now.
The expansion will come in three editions which will have different price points, namely: Base, Heroic, and Epic. If you choose to get the Base Edition, you will have World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, and access to Pandaren and the Allied Race Death Knights.
The Heroic Edition will give you the expansion, a level 120 character boost, a flying mount, as well as the Vestments of the Eternal Traveler transmog set quest. Lastly, the Epic Edition includes everything from the Heroic Edition plus other new features such as the Anima Wyrmling pet, among others.
The official website for World of Warcraft: Shadowlands also boasts of five new zones: Bastion, Ardenweald, Revendreth, Maldraxxus, and The Maw. These zones each have Covenants associated with them, except for The Maw, which is the max level zone.
Asides from these new zones and dungeons, Shadowlands also introduces Torghast, a new endless dungeon that’s procedurally-generated. As you go through the dungeon, it will get harder and harder for you to clear.
Also, you won’t be able to plan ahead, since the dungeon won’t be the same the second time around. Thankfully, you can play with a group of friends so that you can help each other clear the stages.
That being said, there’s currently a Shadowlands beta, but only those who have been invited can try it out. You do have the chance to be chosen for an invite, though. Simply scroll to the bottom of Shadowlands’official website and you can see a button to opt-in.
EA has released a new gameplay trailer for the upcoming Star Wars: Squadron during the live stream of Gamescom’s opening night, giving another glimpse at the single-player campaign.
The new trailer shows how players will jump into the shoes of two conflicting pilots in alternating missions. One Pilot from the Empire and the other from the New Republic. There are also film character cameos like Wedge Antilles.
The trailer mainly focuses on an Imperial mission that has the players flying behind enemy lines infiltrating a New Republic base, escorting a shuttle, and escaping with intelligence. While Squadrons will largely focus on five vs five dogfights and large multiplayer fleet battles, the single-player will give players a variety of missions on a more diverse scale.
Star Wars: Squadrons releases on October 2nd for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
GTA Online accounts and characters are being completely wiped on PS4, Xbox One, and PC by Rockstar Games. A money glitch often called the apartment glitch has been making its rounds.
Players can get huge amounts of money very quickly. Like every other glitch like this in the past, many players participated in it, and the money from those players’ accounts are being wiped, or in some cases, their entire characters are being wiped.
Rockstar Games reporter and insider Tez2 notes that the players who used the glitch are being notified that their GTA online accounts have been wiped clean to varying degrees all depending on how often they used the glitch. Some players have only had all their money wiped from their accounts while others have lost their entire character and progress.
It appears to be a complete character wipe, all progress, money and everything.#GTAOnline
This punishment may seem extreme but it is not new. Rockstar Games has been dealing with GTA online players that exploit glitches like this since the beginning. So players who participated in using the glitch would have been well aware of the consequences.
Some players who have used the glitch have not been dealt with yet, but it’s just a matter of time. Rockstar Games usually handles account wipes in waves. So if you are not part of this wave, it likely means you will be hit in the next wave.
We’re not sure why, but a crossover between Bridge Constructor and The Walking Dead was announced recently on Gamescom 2020. During the live stream, Headup Games released a live-action trailer for this upcoming game, which you can watch below:
To provide more context, Bridge Constructor is a physics-based puzzle game where you have to plan out and create a bridge across a river or ravine using limited parts. The goal of the game is to ensure that the vehicles will be able to cross successfully.
On the other hand, The Walking Dead is a famous comic book, TV show, and adventure game series where you have to survive the zombie apocalypse. At this point, you might wonder how these two games fit. We’re not quite sure yet either, especially since the trailer is only a live-action one and doesn’t show any gameplay.
Join a group of survivors as they fight against hordes of undead walkers and a hostile human community. Build bridges and other constructions through bleak landscapes and ruined structures.
Team up with fan-favorite characters like Daryl, Michonne and Eugene, and create safe passage for iconic vehicles from the series.
Use movable level objects, explosives and baits to your advantage as you lure walkers into lethal traps and guide your survivors to safety.
Enjoy the physics-based frenzy and ragdoll animations as walkers succumb to the forces of gravity.
If I were to make assumptions about the game, I’d think that you need to create bridges for the Walking Dead characters to cross on, ensuring that they don’t get eaten by the zombies.
Are you ready for the “ultimate mashup experience”? We’re definitely intrigued! Bridge Constructor: The Walking Dead will be available on Steam sometime within the year.
Since its release, The Sims 4 has issued multiple expansion packs that have made your Sims experience even better. Now, The Sims 4 will have a new sci-fi crossover that should have taken place years ago – Star Wars: Journey to Batuu.
For all you Star Wars lovers out there, this new DLC is filled to the brim with Star Wars content for you and your Sims character to enjoy. What makes this expansion pack even better is the fact that it’s story-driven, and you’ll learn more about the “tension between factions” on the planet of Batuu.
As soon as you land on Batuu, your surroundings and everything in it will remind you of the world-renowned Star Wars. As you go around the area, you might even stumble upon the familiar Millennium Falcon. Your Sims will deal with stormtroopers, aliens, blaster battles, and more, fulfilling your childhood Star Wars dreams.
Your Sims will go around doing various missions, collecting rewards and earning points in the process. You will also be given the option to choose between factions, whether you support the Resistance or the First Order.
The growth of your reputation, depending on your faction, will affect the way the locals will react to your Sims character. For example, if your Sims is an important member of the First Order, then it would be difficult for them to interact with characters who are part of the Resistance and vice versa.
Another thing that makes this expansion so exciting is the fact that you can find parts for your very own lightsaber. You can find and try out different crystals for your lightsaber until you find the right one. If you’re lonely in Batuu, you can purchase your very own Droid. After you customize this to your liking, your new Droid buddy will follow you everywhere you go – they’ll even assist you on missions!
When you do decide to go back home and leave Batuu, your inventory will be full of Star Wars-inspired items and decorations. Don’t worry about the Droid you purchased, as you will be able to bring it with you back to your own planet.
The Sims 4 Star Wars: Journey to Batuu DLC will be available for purchase on September 8, 2020, on platforms such as Steam, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
As we all know, Dragon Age 4 is still under development, but developer BioWare gave us a sneak peek recently during the Gamescom Opening Night Live. What we find interesting about this game is how it follows a different direction from the last game story-wise, as it focuses more on those characters “who don’t have power.”
We were able to glimpse a few in-game footage in the teaser trailer they released. We could see new and magical areas as well as a new city. You can watch the teaser below:
The teaser isn’t all concept art, though – we were able to glean that an all-too-familiar character from Dragon Age: Inquisition, Solas, who played a huge role in the said game will make a comeback. We were also given a peek at some of the game’s main characters, Davrin and Bellara.
One other thing we could infer is that Dragon Age 4 will heavily deal with the game world’s politics, as those with authority aren’t willing to deal with the masses’ troubles.
BioWare also said that the choices you make as a player also play a big part in the game. You can also expect new areas in Dragon Age 4 that you haven’t been to yet. That being said, keep in mind that this isn’t the official name of the game yet. In fact, the developers simply refer to it as “the next Dragon Age.”
There isn’t a lot of details yet, since it’s still undergoing development, but it’s highly likely that the game will be available on the next-gen consoles.
