Watch Dogs Legion Probably Won’t Bring Back Marcus Holloway From Watch Dogs 2

Watch Dogs Legion is the latest installment in Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs franchise, and it has finally been released for players to experience. Fans have been looking forward to Watch Dogs Legion for a lot of reasons, such as the fact that the game doesn’t have a main protagonist like the previous titles.

In this entry, players are given the ability to recruit and play as almost any character you might meet on the bustling streets of London. That being said, this new well-received feature hasn’t stopped Ubisoft from bringing back a couple of familiar faces into the game.

You see, the company has confirmed that two characters from the previous Watch Dogs games will be available in this latest installment as a part of the season pass. Those who purchase the Bloodlines DLC expansion will be able to make use of Aiden Pearce from the first Watch Dogs title as well as Wrench from Watch Dogs 2.

Because of Ubisoft bringing back these beloved characters, fans have begun to wonder if Marcus Holloway, the protagonist of Watch Dogs 2, will be returning in this installment as well. Sadly, there’s no indication from the company that it has plans on doing so.

According to Ruffin Prentiss, the voice actor of Marcus, Ubisoft hasn’t reached out to him at all about bringing back the character for Watch Dogs Legion. He would be more than willing to jump at the opportunity though, as he says that playing as Marcus was “one of my favorite things that I’ve ever done.”

Prentiss also admitted that when he found out that Wrench would be returning, he felt a little bit of hope that Marcus would too, given the fact that Wrench and his character were extremely close pals.

It wouldn’t make sense if Ubisoft decided to recast Marcus as well, especially since the voice actors for Aiden and Wrench reprised their roles. That being said, Prentiss doesn’t seem to be upset that Watch Dogs Legion won’t be bringing back his character.

When Prentiss discussed Wrench’s addition during an interview with IGN, he commended Shawn Baichoo, Wrench’s voice actor, for his spectacular work on the character. He even said that Baichoo “earned this moment” and that “he deserves every second of it,” so there doesn’t appear to be any hard feelings.

At this point, it’s highly unlikely that we’ll be seeing Marcus in Watch Dogs Legion, especially since Ubisoft has already revealed their DLC plans for the game. However, there’s still a chance that the developer might change its mind in the future. When or if that happens, Prentiss wouldn’t hesitate to reprise his role.

After all, Marcus’ story in Watch Dogs 2 didn’t have a definitive ending. In fact, it even hinted at the franchise’s eventual move to London, England. In any case, Ubisoft might soften up if fans push enough for Marcus’ addition.

More often than not, fans get what they want if they demand it hard enough. Just like with Scott Pilgrim vs The World: The Game, another Ubisoft title. This Scott Pilgrim game had been delisted for the longest time, but the studio decided to bring it back after the fans’ non-stop request for its return.

Even though Nintendo won’t be releasing a new console like Xbox and PlayStation, this doesn’t mean that fans don’t have a lot to look forward to this year. For one thing, Legend of Zelda fans are excited for the release of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity next month, a musou-type game that serves as a prequel to Breath of the Wild and a sequel to the first Hyrule Warriors game.

To further whet the fans’ appetite, Nintendo released a brand-new trailer for the game during the surprise Nintendo Direct Mini for the month. Along with the trailer came the realization that a free demo for Age of Calamity was already available on the Nintendo Switch eShop.

Despite being just a demo, the contents are pretty hefty. Players will be able to experience the entire Chapter 1 of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, as well as carry over their saved game progress as soon as the title officially launches on November 20.

However, with the release of this demo, dataminers were quick to rifle through the game’s files. As a result, players may have found a list of all the playable characters. If this list turns out to be legitimate then we wouldn’t be entirely surprised. Ever since Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity was announced, much to the surprise of the fanbase, Nintendo and Koei Tecmo have been teasing fans with trailers and screenshots of the different characters you’ll encounter in the game.

A previous trailer showcased Hestu and the Koroks, so it kind of makes sense that Hestu would be a part of the list, too. The same goes for King Rhoam; a previous set of screenshots tweeted by Nintendo of America made fans speculate the possibility of him being a playable character.

In any case, whether or not this 18-character list is true, fans are aware of a few other playable units. During the latest Nintendo Direct Mini, it was discovered via a new trailer that the four Divine Beasts can be controlled by the players.

The Divine Beasts played a vital role in Breath of the Wild, as they served as the different dungeons that Link had to go through. In Age of Calamity, however, it appears that they play a more active role and we’re all pretty psyched about that.

Call of Duty Mobile’s Halloween update has been rolled out, bringing tons of creep content such as a new map and new modes including zombies and Pumpkin Confirmed. The spooky new content will be going live in the game just in time before Halloween.

This new content comes right after one of Call of Duty Mobile’s biggest update yet, celebrating its one-year anniversary earlier this month. The game has been performing extremely well, accumulating over 300 million downloads in just a year since its release.

Even though a big event has just been concluded, the Halloween update didn’t fail to bring fresh content to the game that is sufficient to get its players excited once again. Perhaps the most interesting addition is the return of zombie mode, which was removed from the game last March, although in retrospect this is the ideal time for the game to test the waters with this mode again.

Peculiarly, after witnessing the action-packed trailer, many of the viewers noticed a war machine with a new skin, wondering if there are new cosmetics coming to the game.

The trailer revealing the new update was posted on the official Twitter account of Call of Duty Mobile with an affirmation that the event is now live and enumerating all the new content for players can enjoy.

First, Pumpkin Confirmed has been released, which is the Halloween edition of Kill Confirmed where players need to collect jack o lanterns rather than dog tags. Call of Duty Mobile is not the only game in the franchise to join in the Halloween fun. Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War also has new content for its players in the form of a crossover with two of the most popular horror movie franchises, Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Saw. Call of Duty Warzone will also be celebrating the season with a few exclusive pumpkin-themed weapon blueprints.

Activision recently released season 11 to Call of Duty Mobile with the big update celebrating its anniversary, adding new maps, modes, and a new battle royale map called Alcatraz which can be seen infiltrated with zombies in the Undead Fog in the trailer.

Call of Duty Mobile’s Halloween festivities provides even more content and Activision should be cautious not to overwhelm its fans, although the gaming community appears to be excited by all the creepy additions to the game.

Pokemong Go Holding Two Community Days In November

With November just a few days away, the next Community Day events have been revealed for Pokemon Go, featuring Magmar and Electabuzz. These community days come after fan-voted Community Day events in the past two months.

October has been a busy month for Pokemon Go trainers, with the Halloween events still in full swing. Not only were a number of Galarian Pokemon introduced to the game, ghostly Pokemon also became easier to come by due to increased spawn rate.

Celebration for The Day of the Dead is also included for the Halloween season with increased spawn rates for Pokemon such as Duskull and Cubone. With the festivities only being held for a few days and will soon be coming to a close, the question now is what can Pokemon Go provide for the next month?

Niantic has revealed that November will witness not just one, but two Community Days. Electabuzz Community Day will be held on Sunday, November 15 from 11 AM to 5 PM local time. Meanwhile, Magmar’s Community Day will happen on Saturday, November 20 at a similar time.

Magmar and Electabuzz’s Community Day moves will be Thunderbolt and Flamethrower, respectively. As usual, there will be an increased chance to encounter the shiny forms of both featured Pokemon. Magmar and Electabuzz will also have paid special research events, which cost $1 each.

The trend of paid special research events began last year with the A Colossal Discovery event. The event gave players the chance to capture Regigigas before it was later introduced in EX Raids, and this trend continued to the next community day events.

The inclusion of these paid events added fuel to criticism that the game is gradually becoming more monetized. This was particularly rampant when Niantic released Mega Evolutions in the game with controversy, though the developers have also attempted to address the game mechanics in response to complaints.

Having two community days for November in Pokemon Go can be a double-edged sword. First, it can get trainers to get more out of the event, but provided that there is still a pandemic plaguing the world, this might not be the best idea.

Sony has officially revealed the new PlayStation App which will start releasing on both Android and iOS devices. The days are numbered before the launch of the PlayStation 5 and a set of new details about the next-gen console have already been revealed such as unboxing of the actual console as well as updates to some of the PlayStation-related apps and services.

For upcoming PlayStation 5 owners, they will also have the ability to start games, manage the system’s storage, and sign in to the console directly from the PlayStation App. Finally, the app will provide players with the most recent PlayStation news straight from the developers and the PlayStation Blog.

Nintendo has once again announced a surprise Direct Mini, which contained details regarding Nintendo Switch’s highly-anticipated titles. One of the games included in the presentation is Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town.

Along with its own trailer, the upcoming farming game is scheduled to be launched on February 25, 2021 in Japan, while players from North America and Europe will be able to experience the game on March 23.

Thanks to the latest Nintendo Direct Mini, we were able to catch a quick glimpse of Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town, which gave us a pretty good idea about what to expect once the game goes live.

From what we can see, the farming simulator looks adorable and has the potential to compete against highly-acclaimed titles such as Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Similar to the past Story of Seasons installments, Pioneers of Olive Town will still have you taking on the role of a farmer. Your responsibilities include taking care of your livestock, planting and watering crops, and befriending the townspeople.

We’re not quite sure what the storyline of Pioneers of Olive Town is exactly, but basing on just the trailer, you can expect the usual Story of Seasons gameplay that many know and love.

That being said, there are other things you can do asides from tending to your farm. For one thing, you can work on developing Olive Town’s infrastructure, participate in more than 200 different events in-game, commission all kinds of accessories, and even create your very own outfits.

If you look at the game’s designated page on the Nintendo Switch eShop, you’ll see that Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town will have two game modes, namely Seedling and Normal Mode.

Seedling Mode is perfect for those first-timers who need a little assistance settling into their new farm life. On the other hand, the latter is for the long-time fans of Story of Seasons, those who already know what they’re doing and what they’re going to do.

Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town was announced shortly after Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town was released, which is a remake of the Harvest Moon game of the same name from 2003.

Release Date Announced for Mobile Title Crash Bandicoot: On the Run

It was revealed some time in July that King Digital is currently developing a Crash Bandicoot game entitled Crash Bandicoot: On the Run. Along with the announcement, King also released an announcement trailer that gave potential players an idea of what the game will be about.

Now, about three months later, Crash Bandicoot: On the Run has an expected release date. Based on the App Store’s listing, the game will be released on March 25, 2021. Along with this news, the developer released yet another trailer to hype up the game.

Thanks to this most recent trailer, we now know a bit more about the upcoming mobile game, such as the fact that it’s more large-scale than we all expected it to be. For instance, players will be able to enjoy more than 100 hours of gameplay, with 12 lands to traverse.

In addition to that, Crash Bandicoot: On the Run players will be able to engage in battles against popular bosses from previous Crash Bandicoot installments.

Based on the most recent trailer, which you can watch above, this new Crash Bandicoot mobile title will be an endless runner just like previously popular games such as Temple Run. However, this one will have its own twists that are uniquely its own.

In this title, players will be able to avoid obstacles as well as go through secret passages that will lead them to all kinds of rewards and unique challenges. That being said, those interested players can pre-register for the game before its release.

What’s more, those who do pre-register will be able to obtain a special Blue Hyena Skin for the main character Crash. Long-time Crash Bandicoot players will be familiar with this one, as it’s a nod to a similar skin that was available in Crash Team Racing. 

In any case, there is still a lot of important information that King Digital has yet to reveal. For instance, we don’t know just yet if Crash Bandicoot: On the Run will have some kind of story element.

Although, the fact that this will be an endless runner type of mobile game indicates that any kind of storyline will most likely be light and won’t have any significant impact on the franchise’s lore.

Even though Nintendo has teased us with so much Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity content already, it appears that the company has more surprises up its sleeve. Earlier today, Nintendo announced a surprise Nintendo Direct Mini, which showcased titles from its third-party partners.

One of the games talked about in the Direct Mini was Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, and thanks to this, we now have more details about what to expect when the title gets released next month.

More specifically, one part of the announcement showcased one element that many players from Breath of the Wild are intrigued about, and that’s the Divine Beasts. Divine Beasts played a huge role in Breath of the Wild – they pretty much served as the main dungeons you’ll find in previous Legend of Zelda titles.

However, it appears that this won’t be the case for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, as the Divine Beasts appear to be giant weapons of mass destruction.

From what we can infer from the trailer, the Divine Beasts take part in eliminating Ganon’s forces. What’s more, the trailer shows us a point of view that clearly indicates that players can even control them.

In other words, it’s safe to say that the Divine Beasts can be considered as playable characters as well, since players can control and use them to fight against the enemies. Hyrule Warriors’ musou-type gameplay may not be for everyone, but you have to admit that being able to fight as a Divine Beast is pretty awesome.

Fans have been looking forward to Age of Calamity’s release since it was originally announced for numerous reasons, and this new revelation is the cherry on top. In addition to that, it appears that each Divine Beast is unique and plays differently.

Vah Medoh has the ability to fly above the battlefield and shower lasers upon the different enemies; Vah Naboris is capable of plowing through a protected gate; Vah Ruta releases homing icicles as well as a deluge of water; and lastly, Vah Rudania can crush foes with its fiery appendage.

Players have been hoping for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity to have an expansive roster of playable characters, but they surely didn’t expect the Divine Beasts to be a part of this.

That being said, we still don’t know the context to which these Beasts can be used. For one thing, they could only be some kind of special attacks, or perhaps a different, more superior form of the Four Champions.

There’s also a chance that their availability depends on special battlefield conditions. No matter the case, the addition of the Divine Beasts as characters you can control is easily one of the factors why Age of Calamity is expected to be bigger than Breath of the Wild.

Those who can’t wait to try out this upcoming Hyrule Warriors sequel will be happy to know that a demo version of the title has been revealed along with the Nintendo Direct Mini. It’s currently available to download on the Nintendo Switch eShop.

The Nintendo Switch’s library of games that are meant to be released during the holiday season this year may not be as sizeable as fans would have liked, but there’s one title that many are looking forward to after its surprising reveal last month.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity serves as a prequel to the highly-acclaimed Switch title Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, while being a sequel at the same time to the original Hyrule Warriors game.

Despite not being the Breath of the Wild sequel fans were hoping for, many are still excited for its release. Now, it seems that players don’t even have to wait until its official launch date this November if they want to try the game, as Nintendo surprise-launched the demo for Age of Calamity and it’s now available to download and play on the Nintendo Switch eShop.

Nintendo has been full of surprises recently, and now the company has caught us off guard when it suddenly released a Nintendo Direct Mini highlighting games from its partners. That being said, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity’s demo is pretty solid. Nintendo confirmed that players will be able to experience the demo either solo or via co-op through local two-player mode. For now, online support isn’t available yet, but this feature will surely be made accessible to players once the title is officially released.

Another thing worth noting is that any progress you make on the demo can be rolled over to the full game if you purchase it upon release. As such, you don’t have to start from scratch.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity’s demo is perfect for those Breath of the Wild fans who are hesitant to get the game since these two titles have completely different gameplay mechanics.

In any case, we think Age of Calamity is definitely worth getting, especially since this prequel is set 100 years before the events that take place in Breath of the Wild.

As such, it will be able to provide you with answers to questions that weren’t addressed in the previous game. As a matter of fact, it might even contain teasers and hints of what’s to come in Breath of the Wild 2.
