Rumors Claim That Dr Disrespect Might Be Featured in Cyberpunk 2077

After numerous delays, Cyberpunk 2077 will finally be released to the video game world within less than a month. CD Projekt Red has revealed a lot of details about the game already, leading up to it going gold, so fans have pretty much witnessed the RPG title’s journey and progress.

That being said, Cyberpunk 2077 is an expansive open-world game, so we wouldn’t be surprised if the developer still has a couple of secrets and surprises up its sleeves given the amount of detail that was put into it.

If the rumors that have been circulating are true, then one of these surprises might have to do with popular streamer Dr Disrespect.

If you’re unfamiliar, Dr Disrespect is a streamer that has frequently been the center of attention after his controversial ban from the streaming platform Twitch. As such, he decided to take his content somewhere else, specifically YouTube.

screenshot-www-youtube-com-2020-10-22-17_48_17

Lately, Dr Disrespect has also been noted for tweeting his reactions to many of Cyberpunk 2077’s announcements and reveals. Although this may seem like a normal thing to do if you’re a fan who’s looking forward to the game, one of his recent tweets may indicate that there’s more to this than we initially thought.

Here’s the deal: Cyberpunk 2077’s official Twitter account posted that the game’s release was only a month away last October 19. Dr Disrespect then quote-retweeted the post with a hint saying that they have something planned relating to the title.

His tweet says: “Just wait until you see what we have planned. Next level.”

That being said, the tweet is vague enough that it could literally mean anything. However, this tweet caught the fans’ eyes, and now they’re wondering if somehow, Dr Disrespect has collaborated with CD Projekt Red.

After all, Hi-Rez Studios’ Rogue Company partnered with the Doc quite recently, which led to the hero shooter adding a Dr Disrespect-themed skin and map. As such, we can imagine the streamer collaborating with CD Projekt Red in the same way for Cyberpunk 2077. If so, this would definitely be “next level.”

For now, the meaning of his tweet or what this possible partnership could mean is still up in the air. One possibility is that the developer could add a Dr Disrespect skin to Cyberpunk 2077 just like what Hi-Rez Studios did, or perhaps the studio will add an NPC of him in Night City.

In any case, the addition of Dr Disrespect to Cyberpunk 2077 will definitely be a huge plus, in fact, it will be on par with Keanu Reeves’ inclusion as the character Johnny Silverhand. That said, fans don’t have to wait too long to find out what the streamer’s tweet is all about since Cyberpunk 2077’s release date is almost upon us.

Even if Dr Disrespect won’t be in the game as we suspected, his supporters still have a lot to look forward to. For one thing, he will be releasing a memoir by next year, and it will contain information about how he was able to find success in his streaming.

Multiple Playable Characters Won’t Be A Feature In Spider-Man: Miles Morales

Believe it or not, but Spider-Man: Miles Morales, along with the release of the highly-awaited PlayStation 5, will be made available to the public in less than a month. That being said, Insomniac Games hasn’t really revealed a lot as to what players can expect to find in the game.

Fortunately, the creative director of Spider-Man: Miles Morales has so kindly provided fans with new details regarding the game and what they can anticipate.

The original Spider-Man game was released in 2018 for the PlayStation 4, and it was one of the most highly-acclaimed games of that time. The web-slinging RPG title had dynamic combat along with a vast open world, so you can imagine that it had a lot going for it.

However, it wasn’t free from criticism or problems of its own. Despite being so well-received, it had some elements to it that really hindered the gameplay for some of the fans.

screenshot-www-youtube-com-2020-10-22-14_46_32

For example, one thing that some players didn’t like about 2018 Spider-Man is the addition of other playable characters aside from Spider-Man himself, like Mary Jane Watson and Miles Morales.

While some fans enjoyed this element because they found that the other characters added to the story and gameplay, others weren’t huge fans of it as it took away precious game time that they could have spent as the superhero.

That said, the latter type of fans will be happy to know that they won’t be experiencing this issue in Spider-Man: Miles Morales, as the title will not be featuring other playable characters.

This was confirmed by Miles Morales Creative Director Brian Horton, who said in an interview with Game Informer that Miles will be the only playable character in the game.

Although, Horton did say that there will be moments when Miles will take a break from being Spider-Man and will just interact with others like a regular teenager. However, this is akin to how in the Spider-Man game, players would sometimes take on the role of Peter Parker.

Other than that though, you will be playing as the web-slinging superhero for most of the game.

This new information provided to us by the creative director should give fans an idea about what to expect in Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Excited players have been anxious about the game’s length and how much of an impact it will have on the video game community compared to the original game.

Hopefully, the game will be even more impactful and immersive than the previous title, especially since players will be able to assume the role of the titular hero for the majority of the game.

That being said, we’re looking forward to seeing what else Insomniac Games has up its sleeve when it comes to Spider-Man: Miles Morales. As the name implies, Peter Parker obviously won’t play a huge role in this upcoming title, so we’re excited to experience and see how Miles’ story will progress from here.

Another thing we’re curious to see is how Insomniac Games will make use of Ganke Lee in Spider-Man: Miles Morales, especially since we know for sure he won’t be a playable character.

Pokemon Go Hints the Arrival of Galarian Ponyta

In recent news, Pokemon Go has begun teasing the introduction of the cotton candy-colored Galarian Ponyta to the fans by posting several screenshots on its official Twitter account.

Based on the posted tweets, it appears that Professor Willow was able to spot a mysterious and colorful Pokemon while out exploring. Fortunately, he was able to take a few pictures of it, albeit indistinct, before it trotted away.

Ponyta and Rapidash are two iconic horse Pokemon that have been around since Pokemon Go’s release, while their Shiny forms followed suit soon after. Since Game Freak’s most recent entries, Pokemon Sword and Shield, have been out for a while now, it appears that Niantic is also ready to introduce more Galarian forms to the popular AR mobile game.

For quite a while, Pokemon Go trainers have only had small chances to catch a few Galarian Pokemon forms such as Galarian Stunfisk, Zigzagoon, and Meowth, albeit Pokemon Go’s 2020 Halloween event will introduce Galarian Yamask to the game.

Image

That being said, the mobile title isn’t even finished introducing the Alolan versions of Pokemon, so we’re not that surprised that Niantic has only begun featuring the Galar natives. In any case, dedicated Trainers will be able to expand their Pokedex and their teams very soon as more and more Galarian Pokemon make their way to Pokemon Go.

What makes the Galarian Ponyta so different from the regular Ponyta isn’t just its stark difference in color palette, but the Pokemon type itself changed from Fire to Psychic. Not only that, but it will also be a Fairy-type as well upon evolution.

Pokemon fans have been enjoying tracking down the Shiny versions of these creatures in Pokemon Sword and Shield, but trying to find and catch the Galarian Ponyta and Rapidash have been a fan-favorite as well. Plus, the Galarian forms of these Pokemon introduced an all-new ability called Pastel Veil.

That being said, Niantic’s tweets hinting at the new Pokemon are particularly amusing because they’re pretty much a subtle reference to the way Game Freak originally revealed Galarian Ponyta to the public.

Image

When it was initially revealed, Pokemon fans had to experience a mysterious “livestream” of Galar’s Glimwood Tangle which took more or less the whole day. As the players kept watching the stream, they would see quick glimpses of the cotton-candy colors of the Galarian Ponyta.

At first, fans theorized that the ethereal Pokemon could be a newly-added Legendary Pokemon, but that theory was obviously incorrect. That said, Galarian Ponyta is actually one of the Kanto Pokemon redesigns that were well-accepted by the fans.

Now that the Galarian forms of both Ponyta and Rapidash have been officially revealed, Pokemon Go dataminers were able to discover their assets and stats in the game’s files.

New Info – Stat and Asset Update for Galarain Ponyta Line from TheSilphRoad

According to their findings, Galarian Ponyta will be able to use Low Kick and Psycho Cut as Fast Moves. On the other hand, its Charge Moves will be Play Rough, Psybeam, and Swift. As for Galarian Rapidash, it will have the same Fast Moves, but its Charge Moves include Psychic, Body Slam, Megahorn, and Play Rough.

At this point, it’s best to start stocking up on candies during the upcoming Halloween event because according to the leaked information, you will need 50 Ponyta Candies if you want to evolve your Galarian Ponyta. Although, since this isn’t officially announced information, this could still be subject to change.

Pokemon Sword and Shield Dynamax Adventures: Catch Legendaries In This New Mode

Players who want to catch every Legendary Pokemon available in Pokemon Sword and Shield needs to know about one major new feature coming in The Crown Tundra expansion – Dynamax Adventures.

Pokemon Sword and Shield’s Expansion Pass has a little in store for every fan thanks to locations to discover and new storylines to follow. However, make no mistake as in a lot of ways the improvements and additions provided by the two expansion chapters are mainly focused on avid Pokemon fans – providing those who have already overcome the Galar region even more post-game content.

The first expansion took Pokemon trainers inside the Isle of Armor and focused on training and battling features additions and upgrades. However, this month’s upcoming expansion, The Crown Tundra, will focus more on adventure and exploration – including the opportunity to catch numerous rare Pokemon not recently found in the region of Galar.

One of the major methods players will have to capture original Legendary Pokemon from other main regions and generations is through Dynamax Adventures. The new feature is a challenging coop multiplayer mode with Legendary and Mythical Pokemon usually featured as the ultimate reward.

While players can catch new and returning Legendaries in the main storyline of The Crown Tundra, to encounter a range of original Legendaries, they will need to access Dynamax Adventures. Avid Pokemon fans might be familiar with this since it is quite similar to the Wormholes in Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon.

To join Dynamax Adventures, a team must be composed of four players cooperating inside a mini-dungeon where they take on Pokemon battles of increasing difficulty. All these battles will be in Dynamax mode, so players who are already joining Raids in the Wild Area will be familiar with the setup. Just like raiding a Pokemon Den, players can take on the dungeon by themselves with AI partners but it is recommended to do it with real people.

The task might sound pretty simple but within its mechanics, Dynamax Adventures apply a set of rules and effects which means there are no normal Pokemon battles. The rules and effects are:

  • Each player will be restricted to using only one Pokemon.
  • Players can’t use your own Pokemon – At the start of the challenge, players are given the chance to choose one from a set of randomly generated Pokemon.
  • HP, PP, and Status Effect will be carried over to the next battle.
  • After defeating a Dynamax Pokemon, players can swap their Pokemon.

The goal of the team is to work their way through the end of the dungeon. There are branching paths along the way, with which direction to take will be decided by player votes. If the team is lucky enough, they might encounter small random events inside which provide healing and other help but other than these, players are on their own.

The deeper the team reaches, the rarer Pokemon to defeat and catch. There is a guaranteed Legendary Pokemon at the end of the dungeon. After defeating the dungeon, players can choose to take home their current Pokemon or swap for the rare Pokemon at the end of the tunnel.

However, each player can only get each Legendary Pokemon once. Players who finish the Dynamax Adventure will also get rare items as rewards such as the new Ability Patch item which lets players swap their Pokemon’s regular ability for a rare Hidden Ability.

NBA 2K21 Responds To Fans Outrage on Unskippable Ads

A recent controversy regarding NBA 2K21 disappointed a lot of players, who encountered unskippable advertisements in-game despite having to purchase the game for $70 thanks to the price hike of next-gen titles.

NBA 2K21 has received a lot of criticism since it first launched a few weeks ago, and one of the most common problems fans have with the game is that it’s not creative enough for their tastes despite being $10 more expensive than 2K20. The most recent dissatisfaction for fans came when online players began blaming an unprecedented update that was showing unskippable advertisements into the game.

The game’s official Twitter account posted a statement regarding the unskippable ads found in NBA 2K21, where it confessed the last few titles in the franchise have seen advertisements make their way into the in-game 2KTV feature.

Fans have never been happy about these kinds of promotions for years, but what actually tipped the scales in favor of mass disappointment was that players were perplexed as to why they paid more but still receiving these advertisements.

The post states the advertisements are not supposed to show in pre-game introductions, which is where most Twitter and Reddit users were seeing the placement. Based on the tweet, this problem will be addressed in a future update and the statement ended with an acknowledgment to the gaming community for its comments on the game.

Obviously, comments about the NBA 2K21 unskippable ads have been mostly negative, but the problem led to an intense unfavorable reaction as many players refused to just grin and disregard what they saw as an irrelevant and wrongful addition to the game.

However, as several feedback pointed out, it’s still uncertain exactly when the advertisements were included, although it seems just recently, and the apology has only arrived now after a huge player backlash.

Some players expressed their feelings that they don’t care about the developers’ apology and that it seems the company is apologizing publicly just because of the angry online feedback, and that the advertisements might not get removed if players didn’t disagree this much.

This isn’t the first time an NBA 2K21 update received negative player feedback, since a lot of users were so disappointed by the game’s shooting mechanics during its release that a hotfix was issued a day after the game was launched.

Even though players don’t always get everything they want just by giving feedback, it’s nice that at least a few issues can be addressed if the gaming community is noisy enough.

Ubisoft Rebrands Uplay App as Ubisoft Connect

screenshot-staticctf-akamaized-net-2020-10-22-07_52_42

Since the release of the next-generation consoles is almost upon us, Ubisoft has decided to revitalize its services before the new systems arrive. In an attempt to do so, Ubisoft has revealed that it will be merging together the Uplay app and Ubisoft Club service to create Ubisoft Connect.

Back then, the company made use of both Uplay and Ubisoft Club when it came to gaming streaming services. Users experienced a couple of issues, such as the time when Uplay prevented gamers from playing Watch Dogs, but Ubisoft was capable of fixing the users’ concerns right away.

That being said, the company wants Ubisoft Connect to be different and to have the positive elements of both platforms without its flaws. Ubisoft Connect, which will be a cloud-based service that allows users to enjoy a variety of cross-platform features, will reimagine Uplay and Ubisoft Club.

This platform will be especially perfect for when the upcoming titles with cross-progression get released, namely Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Immortals Fenyx Rising, and Riders Republic.

screenshot-www-youtube-com-2020-10-22-08_17_55

Among other things, Ubisoft Connect will also feature new social events and challenges available on different platforms – PC, consoles, and streaming devices – so that no player will be left out.

Overall, Ubisoft wants Ubisoft Connect to provide convenience and much better accessibility between the company’s services and the players throughout all platforms.

The VP of Ubisoft’s Online Services Stephanie Perotti and Creative Director of Ubisoft Connect Charles Huteau both remarked on the new features and benefits that the new gaming hub will have.

Basically, Ubisoft is gathering resources from both Uplay and Ubisoft Club in order for the company to create a more efficient gaming service for gamers across various platforms. Both Perotti and Huteau highlighted Ubisoft Connect’s cross-platform features.

More specifically, players will be able to take advantage of a new in-game overlay, a Smart Intel system that personalizes video recommendations and game tips, a newsfeed for players, as well as a revised loyalty and reward system from Ubisoft Club.

Both also mentioned how Ubisoft Connect has been in the works for more or less 10 years now with the help of the trials and errors made through Uplay and Ubisoft Club. The company took every success and lessons learned from every failure to create Ubisoft Connect from the ground up.

ubiconnect_header-2856388

As mentioned, Ubisoft Connect will be a cloud-based service. As such, Perotti mentioned that thanks to this new feature, the company will be able to update any and all of its games across the different platforms without having to pester the developer game teams.

She also mentioned that Ubisoft plans to have cross-play and cross-progression support for a lot of its titles in the future by using Ubisoft Connect. If this service is of interest to you, then you don’t have to wait too long for its release.

Ubisoft Connect will be launched along with Watch Dogs Legion this upcoming October 29. The new gaming hub will be available on current and next-generation consoles, and even on the Nintendo Switch, Google Stadia, Nvidia GeForce, and the Amazon Luna.

To celebrate this momentous occasion, Ubisoft is giving away free 1,000 legacy Ubisoft Club points to its users.

Niantic Changes Pokemon Hatching From Pokemon Go Eggs

0
pokemon-go-ultra-bonus-challenge-week-2

The insanely popular mobile game Pokemon Go is finally receiving an update that would change which Pokemon can hatch from the eggs in the game. New seasonal changes will be taking place with probable Pokemon that can hatch now being picked from a new group of Pokemon every season.

Pokemon Go offers a collection of Pokemon eggs which can be hatched inside the game by achieving the designated distance in real life. As an Augmented Reality game, Pokemon Go demands its players to move around in their real-world environment in order to gain experience and encounter Pokemon in the game.

Hatching eggs works in a similar way, with the built-in pedometer gathering information on how far players walk each day, even while the app is not active. Various colored eggs hatch at various milestones, with the usual eggs hatching at 2km, 5 km, 7km, and 10 km respectively.

Depending on the range needed to hatch an egg a unique kind of Pokemon can be hatched. Hatching eggs requires the use of an egg incubator. Egg incubators and super egg incubators can be bought via real money and in-game currency for a restricted number of uses to hatch more than one egg at a time.

Because of the consistent work of Pokemon Go trainers across the globe helping Professor Willow in his case study, developer Niantic is mixing up the probable Pokemon appearing from hatching eggs, something that has been a consistent feature of the game since it was released in 2016.

The details on how the developers will be changing the eggs going forward with every season are yet to be announced, but Niantic has already given a long list of new Pokemon that will begin appearing in every unique kind of egg alongside the blog post which revealed the change.

Currently, Team Go Rocket battles have been giving an all-new egg-type as a reward called Strange Eggs for beating Team Go Rocket Grunts as well as the Squad Leaders. The Strange Eggs hatch after accumulating 12 km of walking into either a Deino, Vullaby, Pawniard, Trubbish, Scraggy, Sandile, Absol, or Larvitar.

The original eggs can still be received by visiting PokeStops or by opening gifts given by friends to acquire the 7 km egg that contains Galarian and Alolan Pokemon forms exclusively. Hatching eggs will help trainers fill their Pokedex quicker, with retired players likely to return to Pokemon Go now that hatching eggs will again be rewarding.

The development team has been making the game far more satisfying in the previous months, holding numerous events and introducing new mechanics for Pokemon Go. Here’s expecting the next update will bring another batch of powerful Pokemon from the more recent generations.

New Leak Suggests Ghost Rider Coming To Fortnite

0
maxresdefault-11-4

Fortnite is already filled with Marvel heroes and villains for fans and players to unlock as character skins. Wolverine, Thor, Iron Man are but just a few examples, and developer Epic Games looks like it wants to take full advantage of the deal with Marvel.

Today, Fortnitemares – the game’s yearly Halloween event – has been released which added a new mode, new cosmetics, and is preparing for the return of Midas from Season 2. However, this hasn’t taken away the focus from Marvel for the time being as the development team may already have a new Marvel superhero skin ready for release this month.

Reputable Fortnite data miner HYPEX has dug deep into the game’s files after the recent update was released and believes he might have uncovered two discoveries. The first is titled Back To The Shadows and is accomplished by beating Shadow Midas whose existence has already been made official by Epic Games.

However, it was the second discovery that caught his attention, as it specifically mentions Ghost Rider, the Spirit of Vengeance. The Hell on Wheels achievement is supposedly earned by driving any vehicle as Ghost Rider which means he will be introduced as a playable character skin in the near future.

Unlike other past leaks, there are no photos of the apparent Ghost Rider skin, but will certainly come with other accessories such as Back Bling and even a new superpower for fans to use such as Ghost Rider’s hellfire, his chain whip, or even his motorbike which is the most iconic feature of the Marvel character.

However, the leak didn’t reveal when the Ghost Rider skin will be available. The developers could be saving him as a reward for an upcoming tournament, just like Daredevil, before making it available to the general public. However, he would also be a perfect fit for the ongoing Halloween event too.

It is also possible that the upcoming skin for Ghost Rider might not feature the original Johnny Blaze. For the past few years, there have been others who took the role of Ghost Rider such as the teenager Robbie Reyes who drove a car instead of a bike.

Recently, even Deadpool became Ghost Rider, whose vehicle was a taco truck. While it would be nice to see another, less recognized character show in Fortnite, Johnny Blaze’s prestige as the best and original Ghost Rider means it will possibly be him.

Despite speculations, there have been no signs of Spider-Man coming to Fortnite. Datamine from last August even proposed that some of the hero’s villains would be coming to the game too. Even if this information is not correct, adding Spider-Man will definitely a great decision from Epic Games since he is Marvel’s most popular and iconic superhero to date.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Releases Post Launch and Season Pass Trailer

0
assassins-creed-valhalla-season-pass-post-lauch-roadmap

It’s just a few weeks now until Assassin’s Creed Valhalla releases as the first entry in the franchise for next-gen consoles. There’s also no need to be depressed if there are last-minute delays since the game has already gone gold. This does not mean that development on the game has concluded, as best demonstrated by a new trailer released by Ubisoft that introduces information about the game’s season pass.

The season pass, which will be included as part of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s Gold and Ultimate Editions, composes of two expansions as well as a bonus mission. The first expansion is called Wrath of the Druids and will take place in Ireland and will feature Eivor encountering a druid cult as well as introduce Irish folklore and history. The expansion will be available by spring 2021.

The second expansion is called The Siege of Paris and will centralize on the real-life Viking siege that happened in 845 AD. The siege saw a battalion of Vikings invading France and fighting against the army of King Charles II, also called Charles the Bald. The expansion is set for summer 2021 and will let players take down Paris, gather new allies, and meet historical figures.

The season pass bonus mission will be available at launch. The mission is called The Legend of Beowulf and will see Eivor play as a detective as he investigates an array of bizarre attacks where victims are covered in mold. Based on the title of the mission, it will tie the game into the Beowulf poem from English literature.

This isn’t the first time Assassin’s Creed has adapted fictional events. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, for example, had a few mythical Greek creatures as boss fights and the new game will also integrate several elements of Norse mythology like Asgard.

acv_mockup_seasonpass_201020_6pm_cest_uk-1-1024x576-8909156

There will also be free seasonal content available to all players as well which will cover Valhalla’s Viking settlements and introduce new modes and abilities. The first is set to be released by December which adds a yule festival for the settlement as well as a new river raiding feature. The other three seasons will come in 2021, but Ubisoft hasn’t revealed any other details besides those.

Finally, to make history lovers happy, the Discovery Tour mode from Origins and Odyssey will be making a comeback, letting players educate themselves about the game’s setting and the real-life story on which it is based on.

Ubisoft certainly wants its fans to be still playing Assassin’s Creed Valhalla until 2021, though time can only tell how engaging this post-launch content will be and if these bonus content will be decent enough to keep fans coming back with every new update.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales Introduces New Characters

0
eiemx2rwaameegv

While Spider-Man: Miles Morales gets ready to be a PlayStation 5 release title, developer Insomniac Games has provided fans a quick glance of what they can anticipate in the game. A reoccurring theme in the social media post of the developer has been framing information dumps as stories from the Daily Bugle Now, such as a recent post introducing an Into the Spider-Verse-themed suit. Now, the Bugle is featuring some new characters in New York City.

The story is prepared similar to a “Humans of New York” blog with four aspiring young professionals getting a little blurb about their dreams. First on the listing is Miles Morales, introduced as a hot new music producer inspired by the work of his uncle and father.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales will also introduce a podcaster named Danika Hart, clearly played in opposition to the bias J. Jonah Jameson, as well as Hailey Cooper who is a street artist in East Harlem and a tech developer named Ganke Lee.

As anticipated of a game influenced by the Marvel Comics universe, most characters referenced from the comic books such as The Daily Bugle’s photographer and writer. Hart is a YouTube vlogger in the comics, whereas Lee is Miles’ close friend and superhero confidant who courts Hart at one point.

Lee covers his identity using the alias “Ned” in the comics, though in 2017 the creator of the character told fans he was uncertain whether the likewise named Ned Leeds in MCU’s Spider-Man: Homecoming was directly influenced by Lee.

Fans in the comment section of Insomniac’s Twitter post have been fast in pointing out the possible connection between Hart and one of Miles Morales’ antagonists, Tinkerer. As shown in the trailer from Sony’s PlayStation 5 Showcase last September, Tinkerer has a conspicuous violet color scheme, much like the violet highlights of Hart’s hair. Nothing has been confirmed yet, of course, so this could all be pure speculation.

Promotion for the upcoming Spider-Man game has also taken the somewhat unorthodox form of other types of media in recent weeks. Insomniac Games posted a text conversation between Peter Parker and Miles Morales today as well, giving insight into why Peter will not be around to help Miles throughout the game.

Small details and references in Spider-Man: Miles Morales extends more than just the characters walking around New York City. Miles will have access to tons of suits, same as Peter before him, and one recently added suit that has caught fans’ eyes is a mask-wearing cat sidekick fighting crime alongside Miles Morales.
