Metal Gear Solid Remake might be a PlayStation 5 exclusive

0
metalgearsolid

The PlayStation 5 is just a few months away from launch and one of the exclusive titles rumored to be in development for Sony’s next-gen consoles is a remake of Metal Gear Solid.

The PlayStation 1 game from Konami’s Death Stranding producer Hideo Kojima has been regarded by players as one of the best video games of all time which gave birth to multiple sequels including the critically acclaimed Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain released in 2015.

The reputation and success of the Metal Gear series have helped the game grow beyond just video games. This includes a board game based on the franchise which is set to be released this year but was delayed until 2021.

On the video game side of things, it is still uncertain whether Konami has any plans to create a new major installment of the franchise since the gaming company and series creator Kojima separated ways a few years ago. With a low performing Metal Gear Survive released in 2018, there’s not much hope that Konami has plans in making Metal Gear Solid 6.

However, a new rumor might give Metal Gear fans a new glimmer of hope as a YouTube channel by the name of RedGamingTech claims in a newly posted video that a Metal Gear Solid remake is currently in development. The YouTube channel is well-known by players for revealing accurate leaks in the past. In addition, the video mentioned that the ongoing remake won’t be an enhanced edition of the game similar to Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes on the GameCube but will be a total next-gen remake.

According to the YouTuber, his source claims that they are completely positive that the remake exists and that it will be released on the PC and PlayStation 5 but they are uncertain if they will be launched at the same time and they also don’t know how far in development the supposed remake is.

The video also revealed that Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of LibertyMetal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, and Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots will also be coming to the PlayStation 5 but will not be a full-blown remake such as Metal Gear Solid and will probably just remasters.

Konami recently made something similar on the PlayStation 4 back in 2018 with Castlevania Requiem which included ports of the PSP editions of Symphony of the Night and Rondo of Blood that has a few enhancements and additional features.

news-metalgear-1024x533-6419953

If the above-mentioned rumors are true, this will definitely be good news for fans of the Metal Gear series ever since Kojima’s separation. If Konami is indeed developing a Metal Gear Solid remake, fans can only hope that they are going to be able to make it as good as the Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Resident Evil 2 Remake.

Fans are still hopeful that the company has learned its lessons from the criticisms they have received from Castlevania Requiem and will have to work better for the PlayStation releases of the three Metal Gear Solid sequels.

Epic Games Gives Out $10 Just To Play Rocket League

Epic Games is offering fans a $10 coupon if they successfully download Rocket League from the Epic Games Store. This event was launched in celebration for the game shifting to a free to play title. The change comes after the game’s developer Psyonix was acquired by Epic Games last year. In conformity with the new distribution model, the game is no longer available on Steam.

Rocket League is a multiplayer vehicular sports game has been well received in the online gaming industry for several years now. The game is basically played as soccer but instead of persons, players are using cars.

The chaotic and explosive battles that happen from this unique concept have skyrocketed the game’s popularity in a huge way. Rocket League has become a distinguished eSports game since it was launched, partly because of Psyonix’s own tournament called Rocket League Championship Series. Recently, the game even started streaming on ESPN2 to fill the scarcity of sports content as an effect of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Rocket League should be expecting a huge bump of new players due to Epic Game’s recent verdict to make it free to play. In order to motivate and retain these new players, Epic Store announced that anyone who can successfully download Rocket League from the Epic Games Store before October 23 will receive a $10 coupon which can be used in the Epic Games Store.

Players must make sure to use the coupon as soon as possible since it will expire on November 1, 2020. This move shouldn’t only attract new players but also seduce fans away from the game’s Steam edition which has already been delisted but will still receive content updates as usual.

Epic Games is certainly inspired by Rocket League and with one good reason. The gaming company has already proven that they can make any free to play online games successful such as what they have achieved with Fortnite – one of the most famous games of all time.

In fact, Epic Games is utilizing Fortnite’s triumph to the advantage of Rocket League by creating an in-game crossover event called Llama-Rama. The exclusive tournament allows Rocket League players to take control of Fortnite’s Battle Bus through the arena. This event should entice a few of Fortnite’s millions of fans into Rocket League and let the developers share the love and profits.

Epic Games has quite a bit of reputation in the PC gaming world as a lot of its players are accusing the developers of poaching games and traffic from Steam – an old but esteemed digital marketplace. Epic Games’ efforts with Rocket League will surely won’t improve its influence among Steam fans.

The free $10 coupon is quite a shameless attempt to lure players to let go of the old platform and download it again via the Epic Games Store. It is obviously a shameless technique but it will do its work. A popular and venerated game with five years of consistently updated content being offered along with a $10 coupon will be very difficult to turn down.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Will Run 4K60FPS on the PlayStation 5

Just a few more months and fans will finally get their hands on the PlayStation 5. In-depth details about the system’s specs and news about upcoming games are running wild on the internet. One of the first playable games on Sony’s next-gen console will be Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and based on recent reports, fans now know how the game will exactly take advantage of the new console’s power.

The PlayStation 5 is set to bring the house down by offering a quick SSD and ray-tracing capabilities which are way better than what the PlayStation 4 Pro has now. The problem is how these video games will utilize these next-gen features. The Assassin’s Creed franchise has had a long history over the previous consoles but how specifically the newest installment of the franchise will work on the PlayStation 5 has now been unveiled.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will reportedly run in 4K resolution at 60 frames per second on the PlayStation 5 which mirrors how the game will perform on Microsoft’s Xbox Series X. This surpasses some assumptions that the game would only run at 30 frames per second on Sony’s next-gen console.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be launched on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. However, for players who are curious about how the game will differ on every console, Valhalla will utilize the PlayStation 5’s SSD for almost instant load times and will also utilize the Tempest Engine for a clearer 3D sound.

As of writing, there aren’t too many specs for next-gen games that have been announced but it is most likely that 60 fps and 4K resolution will become a usual feature on next-gen consoles. While 4K resolution has now become standard for today’s televisions, only the newer current-gen consoles including the Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro have been able to utilize 4K gaming in one model to another.

60fps also provides smoother gameplay and if paired with the SSD’s fast loading times, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla should be able to provide an unforgettable experience on the PlayStation 5. How exactly Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will utilize the next-gen console’s other advance features such as the DualSense controller’s haptic feedback, will have to wait until the game is released on November.

While the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be available on November 10 for the current-gen consoles, PlayStation 5 users will be able to avail the game two days later during the console’s November 12 release. For fans who want to take advantage of the situation, they should remember that whatever the form of the current-gen version they purchase will also be the same for its next-gen upgrade.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will launch alongside the Xbox Series X/S which will allow players to indulge in the Viking world and play as Eivor who will fight against anyone to establish a settlement in England. The game will also be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Stadia, and the PC.

Sony is confusing players on how to buy Spider-Man Remastered on PS5

0
maxresdefault1

2018’s Marvel’s Spider-Man is coming to the PlayStation 5 but getting it won’t be simple. Sony has confirmed during an interview that Spider-Man Remastered – its upgraded PlayStation 5 version – will not be sold as a standalone game or even be given as a free upgrade for existing PlayStation 4 Spider-Man owners.

Instead, the only possible way to purchase it will be through the Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition bundle for $70. The bundle contains the 2018 Spider-Man Remastered Edition and the upcoming spinoff which when sold on its own only costs $50.

The problem is, as with a few other cross-gen titles, there are actually two variants of the 2018 Spider-Man – the old PlayStation 4 edition which has been released in 2018 and a new version of the game called Spider-Man Remastered. The remastered version will feature particular next-gen enhancements to benefit from the power of the PlayStation 5 such as ray tracing and faster load times.

A few developers including Ubisoft and CD Projekt Red are allowing its players to upgrade to the next-gen editions of their games with no costs. Other developers such as 2K Games and 505 Games are charging its players for their next-gen enhanced editions.

The perplexity lies in the fact that all the next-gen consoles including the two versions of the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X/S are backwards compatible. This means players who don’t want to spend money to buy the next-gen version of the game can still play the current-gen versions of those games on their new consoles.

spider-man-remastered-3744622

The only difference is that backwards compatible games will not have the improvements and enhancements of the next-gen consoles. One good example is Cyberpunk 2077 which is supported by the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X via backwards compatibility to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One upon release but it will also launch a free next-gen edition for its existing players later on.

Sony is complicating this problem by providing free upgrades in some situations and paid ones in others. Players who bought Spider-Man: Miles Morales for the PlayStation 4 will get a free next-gen edition upgrade. Players who already own the original Spider-Man 2018 will have to buy it again for the PlayStation 5 assuming that they want the remastered edition’s performance enhancements and graphical improvements. And as an additional snag, the only way to buy this remastered version will be through the expensive $70 bundle.

With all these things taken into consideration, there are only three ways to play Spider-Man on the PlayStation 5:

20301-9559791

  1. Buy the standard Spider-Man edition for the PlayStation 4 which will run on the PlayStation 5 via backwards compatibility. However, it will not have the PlayStation 5’s improvements of the remastered edition.
  2. Buy Spider-Man: Miles Morales on the PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5 for $50 then pay again an extra $20 to upgrade it to its Ultimate Edition to receive Spider-Man Remastered. However, save games will not be carried on and players will have to start the spin-off game all over again.
  3. Buy Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition for $70 and get both games hassle-free.

Experience New and Improved Shark RPG Maneater On The Next-Gen Consoles

Those who are planning to get either a PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, or an Xbox Series S probably already have a lot of titles they plan to try out at launch.

In the meantime, those who weren’t able to preorder the consoles or who plan to get them at a later time can play the games on current-gen consoles as well, as they have the option to upgrade them for free to the next-gen.

Some of the games this applies to include Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Dirt 5, Watch Dogs Legion, and now, Maneater makes the list.

Even though Maneater isn’t a brand-new game (it was launched for the PC as well as consoles last May), Tripwire Interactive and Deep Silver announced that the shark RPG title will be making its way to the Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PS5 when they launch.

The announcement came as the companies celebrated the fact that the game was able to shift over 1 million copies all over the world.

https://twitter.com/maneatergame/status/1308753244303364099?s=20

If you’re not that sure what Maneater is, it’s best described as an open-world action-RPG where you have to control a baby shark and help it eventually grow into one of the most dangerous predators of the ocean. Some would even call it a “shARkPG” — witty, right?

You won’t be just fighting marine life in Maneater, no, you’ll be given a chance to fight humans as well as mighty apex predators. Gradually, as you progress, you’ll be able to get your retribution against the evil fishermen who heartlessly dismembered you.

On the next-gen consoles, Maneater will be sporting all kinds of new upgrades, such as ray tracing support, 4K HDR at 60fps, new lighting effects, improved visuals overall, as well as smoother gameplay.

The developers have also confirmed that these same upgrades will be applicable to the Xbox Series S as well.

On the other hand, PC players don’t have to feel so left behind because when Maneater gets released for the PC, it will also receive the next-gen enhancements. More information about these upgrades will be announced in the months to come.

ss_85ff1d68585ad8ac8df056a11576fcb413ac9b56-1920x1080-3675428

That said, it won’t matter if the next-gen editions will have extra content or not. However, those who already purchased Maneater on either the PS4 or Xbox might as well upgrade anyway.

The reason for this is because they have the option to upgrade the game to its respective PS5 and Xbox Series X version free of charge, just like the other cross-gen titles.

When Maneater was first released, it received average to positive reviews from critics, as they appreciated the game’s satirical script and humor. They found the exploration aspect of the game to be enjoyable, as well.

However, even though the gameplay was fun, it pretty much got repetitive after a while. At the time of writing, a Nintendo Switch version of Maneater has yet to be released. There’s no release date yet, as well, but fans are hoping that the developers will be able to launch it before the year ends.

Xbox Series X 1TB Expansion Storage Will Cost $220

0
maxresdefault-27

Microsoft has revealed its first 1TB expandable storage for its next-gen consoles which will cost $220. As of writing, Best Buy is now taking preorders for the next-gen accessory which can be placed on the rear side of both the Xbox Series X/S to match their internal SSD as well as give extra 1TB storage.

Microsoft’s expandable storage solution is proprietary and only Seagate has been revealed as a producer so far. However, Microsoft revealed that more suppliers as well as additional storage space sizes will soon be available. Nevertheless, the $220 will in no doubt surprise a lot of potential Xbox Series X/S buyers.

The Xbox Series X is already installed with a 1TB internal SSD storage while the Xbox Series S with just 512GB of internal storage.  The current price of the expandable memory means the $299 Xbox Series S will have its price increased to a whopping $520 if fans want to avail the extra storage and bring the Series S’ memory to 1.5TB.

The additional storage will make the Xbox Series X more enticing for fans who want larger storage due to the fact that future games will require more space once they are integrated with the next-gen consoles. Titles made for the Xbox Series S will be 30% smaller compared to the Series X, which will in no doubt help with its smaller storage space.

Another option for expandable storage is by simply using any USB drive to save games when users don’t need to play them. If they are not compatible with the Xbox Series X/S, users can be able to run them directly from the USB storage or just plain copy the games and utilize drives as low-cost cold storage.

etrpi0oxkauzyoj-8283574

It is hard to judge the pricing of these next-gen expandable storages simply because these aren’t comparable enough PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSDs available in the market. Sony has preferred to gran players the ability to slot their own storages into the PlayStation 5 but these expandable spaces will need to meet the speed requirements of the console’s internal SSD.

These speed requirements mean that PlayStation 5 owners will have to get the best PCIe 4.0 NVMe drives that are just starting to be distributed for the PC. Samsung recently announced its 980 Pro a few days ago which looks like the perfect expandable storage for the PlayStation 5 because of its incredible features including quick read and write speeds. The 1TB variant of Samsung’s 980 Pro costs $230 but Sony hasn’t confirmed any drives that will be compatible with the PlayStation 5 yet.

official-xbox-series-x-and-s-1tb-expandable-storage-drive-co_fk17-h720-6953748

The advantage of Sony’s open approach to getting expandable storages for its next-gen consoles is that prices on compatible PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSDs will surely go down over time because of the tight rivalries and decreased manufacturing expenses. Assuming that Sony will allow compatibility with most high-end drives, users should have a lot of options.

Microsoft, on the other hand, will need to find more manufacturers to produce its expandable storage cards for the Xbox Series X/S for rivalries to take place and let prices go down over time. It will again be a waiting game to see precisely how Microsoft and Sony handle their expandable storage options in the next months. However, it is certain from Microsoft’s pricing those users who want more storage for the Xbox Series X/S will have to shed a few hundred bucks.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot DLC 2 Reveals New Screenshots

dbzk_golden_rush2028129-5869117

Bandai Namco has started releasing new screenshots of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot DLC 2, making us assume that the expansion’s release date is drawing nearer and nearer. The most recent screenshots they’ve released show the Super Saiyan Blue forms of Goku and Vegeta, as well as a formidable shot of Golden Frieza.

Most of the information Bandai Namco released has either already been deduced by fans or they saw it in V Jump scans. However, this pretty much works as an official confirmation. On the downside, we have no news yet as to when the Kakarot DLC 2 will be released so that we can finally battle it out with Golden Frieza.

Given the fact that Bandai Namco posted a few shots to hype us up, there’s a chance that this means we’ll be seeing it soon.

Bandai Namco posted the screenshots on Twitter, and they don’t really give out a lot of information. However, the images do give the fans an idea about what they can anticipate from the antagonist.

The expansion will also feature other enemies aside from Golden Frieza, including the return of some of Frieza’s followers.

That being said, let’s take a moment to really look at these screenshots. The first one showcases the Super Saiyan Blue forms of both Goku and Vegeta. It doesn’t reveal much, but it does verify to us that they’ll be using their Whis outfits.

The second screenshot shows Golden Frieza punching the living daylights out of Vegeta. It’s highly probable that he’s using a special technique. Since his moveset was previously revealed, we’re assuming that he used either Golden Rush or Golden Edge on Vegeta.

The third image is interesting because it features Namek Saga enemies – such as Zarbon, Dodoria, Apule, and Cui – head-to-head with Piccolo. Last but not least, the fourth photo showcases what we assume to be Golden Frieza’s Golden Death Ball attack.

Out of all the screenshots, the third one is the most striking because as you may or may not know, all the characters you can see in the image were killed on Namek in the original story. As such, this is why you never see them during the Resurrection F arc.

dbzk_ginyu_force2028229-8377484

On the other hand, players of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will be able to resurrect these opponents using the Dragon Balls. Doing so will open up a sub-story wherein they have to be defeated all over again.

The fact that they were included in DLC 2 indicates that these resurrections are considered to be canon in the game’s storyline. This could mean that there’s a chance that other revived antagonists like Cell and Dabura might return in the future as well.

As for the fans’ reactions…well, they’re pretty indifferent this time around since the new screenshots don’t really present any new information. Right now, more than anything, fans really just want a release date for the expansion.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot was released nine months ago, and it’s been nearly half a year since the first DLC was released. Naturally, fans are itching for new content and they’re hoping to get it soon.

New Overwatch Public Test Realm Patch Improves Profanity Filter Among Other Changes

blizzardworld-screenshot-005-9771706

The purpose of most of the patches you’ll find on the Overwatch Public Test Realm (PTR) is to allow players to test out hero tweaks or any additions in the modes. However, some of these patches also include much-needed quality of life changes that will make the game better.

The most recent PTR patch was added on September 23, and the great thing about this patch is that it has a more thorough profanity filter update especially since Overwatch’s censorship system is lacking most of the time.

In addition to that, the PTR patch has also made some changes to the elevators, as you will now need to activate them and they won’t run in a never-ending loop anymore.

Profanity Filter

Just like your regular online, team-based game, Overwatch has had many issues concerning players trolling, harassing, or becoming too toxic on the chat. As such, Overwatch implemented a profanity filter system that you can opt to turn on or off.

However, even if you do decide to activate the filter, players could still find loopholes around the asterisks by using words in creative ways. Many players have been complaining about the toxicity issues in Overwatch for many years, and now, the developers have finally come up with a better solution.

In this PTR patch, Overwatch is testing out a new three-tiered system, where you get to choose between three levels of profanity filtration: Friendly, Mature, or Unfiltered.

If you choose the Friendly setting, the game will filter out all the words it deems vulgar or offensive based on its “constantly updating list.”

Moving on, the patch notes state that choosing Mature will let through “obscene or vulgar” words. We assume that this likely refers to sexually-charged words or minor swears. That said, this setting will still filter out words that are considered to be “extremely offensive.”

Last but not least, the Unfiltered setting, as the name suggests, has no filters whatsoever. The developers go on to say that they don’t recommend this setting, as it will contain “extremely offensive language.”

brigitte-screenshot-001-6976079

Elevator Update

Overwatch elevators have constantly been in a loop, for four years to be exact. With this new PTR patch, they can finally take a little breather. Now, the in-game elevators will wait at the bottom until a player decides to step on them.

Once they reach the very top, the elevator will pause for a quick second before going back down. A lot of players seem stoked about this one.

That being said, this change will only affect maps that do have elevators on them, such as Hollywood and Volskaya Industries. You’ll find that the elevators there will finally stop looping continuously, and will need player interaction in order to work.

Hero Changes

There aren’t a lot of changes made to the heroes in this patch, except that Reinhardt has a new voice line added to his collection. When he does his ultimate ability Earthshatter, allies will be able to hear him say “For the Crusaders!”

It’s definitely worth remembering that these changes have only been applied to the test realm, so there’s no guarantee that they will be added to the live servers.

If you’re interested in checking out the Overwatch PTR patch, you can do so if you’re a PC player by using the Battle.net client.

Fall Guys Asks Help From Fans in Naming New Obstacle

0
fall-guys-screen-9

This doesn’t come as a surprise, but the Fall Guys Twitter account has been asking fans for help in naming the medieval equivalent of Big Yeetus, which will be making its way to the game once Season 2 starts.

Falls Guys: Ultimate Knockout is constantly rising in popularity, and Mediatonic is doing its best to improve the title – or perhaps make it more chaotic than it already was initially. Not too long ago, Fall Guys finally introduced Big Yeetus, a giant hammer that’s constantly swinging.

In other words, Big Yeetus could either help you win the game by unintentionally swinging you towards the goal line, or by completely ruining the challenge for you.

The existence of this new obstacle has already been causing havoc, either in the form of wasting time as some have been trying to line up the jellybean with the hammer, or by sending the little guys into glitched-out areas that force them out of the game.

Mediatonic has a lot of things planned for Season 2 and we’re excited along with them. The developers revealed in Gamescom 2020 that this second season will be medieval-themed, and with it comes new matching stages and costumes.

50331495923_10770dd83b_k-8303228

One thing that the new stages will have is new obstacles like moving blocks, which fans are not that excited about since it will require cooperating with strangers. In line with that, one of the new obstacles will be another huge hammer, although this time it will follow the medieval theme.

It appears that Fall Guys hasn’t decided on what to name this obstacle yet, so they have decided to ask Twitter users for some suggestions. To give you a better idea about Big Yeetus’ counterpart, it appears to be much bigger and more capable of flinging players completely off the stage.

The upcoming obstacle also comes with spikes, so its sure to cause a lot more chaos than Big Yeetus already does. The new hammer appears to be based off of actual warfare devices that were used during the olden times.

However, the Fall Guys Twitter account doesn’t seem to be looking for a historically-accurate name. These suggestions were given special mention on their Twitter account, so they might be the developers’ favorites for now:

  • Thicc Bonkus
  • Yeetinator
  • Sir Yeetalot
  • Stump Chunkman
  • Mince Meatus
  • Chonky Roll
  • Long Rollus

That being said, you can still make your suggestions now as they’re still accepting submissions.

That being said, Mediatonic is also trying to find other ways to make the game even better outside of Fall Guys Season 2. As a matter of fact, they implemented anti-cheat measures along with the release of Big Yeetus last week.

More specifically, the developers added the Easy Anti-Cheat system because Cheater Island didn’t turn out the way they had hoped. This is the system that Epic Games uses to protect Fortnite from cheaters and hackers.

Aside from that, Mediatonic has also been working on Slime Climb and trying to make it better, as it is considered to be one of the most difficult stages in the game.

No Man’s Sky: Origins Is Released Today And It’s Bigger Than Ever

0
einfwyhucaaykk7

As you may or may not have guessed, the all-new Origins update for No Man’s Sky that went live today primarily focuses on including more content and variety to the space sandbox title. However, it appears that the update is much, much bigger than we anticipated.

When Hello Games said that Origins “dramatically expands the universe of No Man’s Sky,” they weren’t kidding. While you’re busy exploring the new and improved galaxy of No Man’s Sky, you will be able to find various kinds of new flora and fauna, along with new planets and types of planets.

The launch trailer, which you can watch above, showcases creatures that definitely look different from the species we’ve seen before in the game. The trailer continues to show what looks like solar systems that have binary stars.

If you watch until the end of the trailer, you’ll witness a ginormous sandworm. Now that’s definitely something we can also consider as a change in variety.

binary-and-ternary-stars-3-1040w-6333060

When it comes to weather, Hello Games has also implemented something quite fun and exciting. Previously in No Man’s Sky, bad weather such as toxic storms or acid rains would be experienced planet-wide wherever you are. This means that you will have to leave the planet if you want to avoid it.

In Origins, however, they have added realistic localized weather that won’t hit the planet you’re in all at once. Instead, the weather will act a bit more realistically, as it will sweep across and around the planet.

They have also added special weather effects such as tornadoes and meteor showers, which we find to be most exciting. In a recent interview with PC Gamer, Hello Games’ founder Sean Murray talked about these weather effects some more.

Murray says that the weather events have a purpose and are, in fact, beneficial. It’s really more of a risk-reward scenario, as the weather effect may be harmful to your character, but it’s exciting at the same time because you will be able to gather resources out of them.

dramatic-landscapes-2-1040w-3220037

For example, you could try scouting the area during a meteor shower. Sure, it may be dangerous and certainly life-threatening, but there’s also a chance that you’ll be leaving the area full of high-quality resources.

Creating and building bases is a thing in No Man’s Sky, so you might be worried that the new planetary features like the volcanoes will greatly damage your home planet or the base you’ve spent countless hours working on.

It’s definitely a valid concern, but there’s no need to worry because Hello Games has assured us that they’ve ensured that nothing will happen to the players’ bases.

The update has so much more to offer, such as “wild robots” you’ll encounter roaming around in certain planets. You’ll also find massive archive buildings that will hold “data, treasure, and directions to long-forgotten ruins.”

colossal-archive-buildings-1-1040w-9002739

There are also fertile planets, where you’ll find swamps, marshes, and insect life. However, there are barren planets, as well, which will contain abandoned buildings that look interesting enough to explore.

The No Man’s Sky Origins update goes live today, so definitely check it out if you can. For the complete patch notes, check out the official website.
