Bungie Reveals Pre-Load Date and Time for Destiny 2: Beyond Light

0
screenshot-www-bungie-net-2020-09-25-18_38_16

The release date for Destiny 2: Beyond Light is drawing nearer and nearer, and in order to keep the hype going, Bungie has been constantly releasing updates. In fact, Bungie revealed Beyond Light’s pre-load date and time, among other things, only today.

Bungie also gave Destiny 2 fans a sneak peek at the all-new location, Europa – a freezing planet that will surely bring about a whole different challenge to the players. At this point, we’re sure that the studio will reveal more information about Europa as the release date creeps closer.

But for now, we can confirm that fans will be reuniting with old comrades such as Variks, as well as encounter new kinds of enemies. In any case, the most recent This Week at Bungie post talks about a bunch of new changes that will make Destiny 2 an even better game.

screenshot-www-bungie-net-2020-09-25-18_36_05

The developers at Bungie have extensively made the necessary revisions for the game, so much so that Engineering Director David Aldridge states that once Beyond Light gets released, players will have to re-download the game on whatever platform they’re using.

With that in mind, Bungie will be releasing pre-loads of the new expansion on November 9, Pacific Time, sometime in the evening.

Unfortunately, the studio didn’t give an exact time frame, but you should expect that you can start pre-downloading Beyond Light about 10 hours before the expansion’s official release.

There’s more good news: due to the many adjustments done to the core of the game, along with the fact that Bungie is getting rid of a lot of content in Destiny 2, the title’s overall install size is expected to significantly decrease by 30 to 40%.

screenshot-www-bungie-net-2020-09-25-18_36_35

Depending on what gaming platform you’re using to play Destiny 2: Beyond Light, the game will most likely take up between 59 to 71GB when the expansion gets released. Going forward, Bungie wants to make sure that they won’t necessarily bloat up the game’s size.

All of these amazing changes are all thanks to the mighty engineering team, who worked on the game’s content and patch pipeline re-format. The modernization of Destiny 2 was further continued when they replaced the antiquated assets with newer, upgraded counterparts.

Thanks to these efforts, though, it was possible for the team to ship out a build of the game in less than half a day. Before, it would have taken them almost a day – at least – before they could send out the new builds to fans.

Now, you might be wondering: what exactly does this mean for the player experience? The good news is that now, fans won’t have to wait so long for Bungie to release important hotfixes for game-breaking bugs and glitches.

screenshot-www-bungie-net-2020-09-25-18_37_45

This also means that the concerns of the players will be easily addressed as well since fans can expect changes and fixes to be done the closer the expansion’s release date gets.

After all, fans just want to be heard more than anything. So, this will definitely be a huge plus, since players have had prior issues with Destiny 2 repeating the same issues from previous seasons because Bungie couldn’t react to feedback on time.

Release Date for Nier Replicant Revealed

0
screenshot-gamerant-com-2020-09-25-17_21_20

Nier Replicant ver.1.22474487139… was initially announced earlier this year, and back then we didn’t have a lot of information about the title and what we can expect from it. This is no longer the case now, though, as this highly-anticipated version of Nier finally has an official release date: April 23rd, 2021.

More specifically, it will be released on April 23rd, 2021 in North America and Europe, but the Japanese version will be released the day before (April 22).

Fans have been waiting a really long time for this game, but Square Enix has made sure to compensate for that by not only revealing a collector’s edition that’s scheduled to launch alongside Nier Replicant but a gameplay video of the upcoming title as well.

All this new information was announced during the Nier “We Have a Decent Amount of New Info” Tokyo Game Show presentation, the video of which you can watch above.

The presentation also revealed that the game is being co-developed by Toylogic, which is a studio that’s known for helping out on well-known titles such as Dragon Quest 11: Echoes of an Elusive Age and Kid Icarus: Uprising.

Several people who have worked on the Nier franchise one way or another were present during the Tokyo Game Show livestream, namely development director Saki Ito, series creator Yoko Taro, series producer Yosuke Saito, and even the title’s composer Keiichi Okabe.

screenshot-www-youtube-com-2020-09-25-17_45_55

screenshot-www-youtube-com-2020-09-25-17_46_13

As mentioned, the studio will also be releasing a collector’s edition alongside the game, which they have named “White Snow Edition.” This edition will include not only the game itself, but a bunch of other collectibles such as a steelbook case, and three pins inside a collector’s case.

You will also find a two-disc soundtrack in packaging that looks like a grimoire. Last but not least, the collector’s edition will also have a seven-volume recording script. This can definitely be considered as a collector’s item because it includes every line of voiced dialogue in the game.

A lot of effort has been given in this version of Nier Replicant, so much so that every piece of dialogue has been re-recorded in both Japanese and English. This includes even those lines that weren’t initially voice acted in the original game.

As for pricing, the collector’s edition can be preordered for $159.99 only from Square Enix’s online store.

screenshot-gamerant-com-2020-09-25-17_25_55

So many Nier fans are looking forward to Nier Replicant – including us – as this is the first installment in the Drakengard spin-off series that resulted in the creation of 2017’s highly-acclaimed Nier: Automata.

This upcoming version of Nier Replicant will actually be the first time that the game will be released outside of Japan.

And although some wouldn’t consider this version to be a remaster, it might be worth considering it as such since developer Toylogic has gone through great lengths to tweak the game so that it resembles the combat and gameplay experience of Nier: Automata.

Once it’s released on the scheduled dates, Nier Replicant ver.1.22474487139… will be available to play on various platforms such as PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Developer Discusses the Major Changes They’ve Made to the Missions

0
screenshot-blog-activision-com-2020-09-25-15_55_32

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is scheduled to launch this year, and it appears that the developers are trying to shake things up by making some changes to the formula that has made Call of Duty: Modern Warfare so popular today.

You will find the bigger changes on the multiplayer side of the title, such as the scorestreak system that fans have been avidly discussing, and the maps that feel larger.

However, with the help of Raven Software, the studio is hoping to make some major changes to the story side of the game by proposing new and unique ideas that will revitalize the traditional linear action.

Senior creative director Dan Vondrak recently discussed these changes in an interview, where he talks about their plans in greater detail. For Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, they want to strengthen their commitment in creating missions that are more open-ended.

Previously, the studio talked about side missions and how these will ultimately shape the narrative of the game as well as what kind of ending you’ll get. Now, Vondrak went ahead and confirmed an even more surprising element.

bocw_mp_wm_04-8277711

During missions, there’s now more to do than just gathering intel and clues so that you can access different areas of a side mission. Now, you also have to solve puzzles, although we don’t think this applies to each and every side mission.

Using the evidence you have gathered, you will be required to solve a puzzle in order for you to proceed to the other parts of the side mission you’re working on. If you fail to do so, certain missions will become inaccessible and as a result, will most likely affect the outcome of your game.

Asides from solving puzzles, Raven Software also has other attempts at deviating from the traditional campaign that players are expecting. For example, some instances in the game will require players to make dialogue choices.

Not only that, but you should just go ahead and expect open-ended missions that have more than one endings, and you will need to really think about the decisions you make in order for your game to progress.

Another exciting change can be found in some missions wherein Raven Software got rid of the standard faire linear action segments and instead, introduced assassination missions. In this case, players will be able to sneak into the base or the building of an enemy where they have to try and kill a specific target.

It will be completely up to you how you wish to accomplish this mission, as you will have plenty of options to choose from like how it was back then with IO Interactive’s Hitman titles.

bocw_mp_wm_03-4501792

Raven Software hopes that with these changes and additions to how missions are played in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, players will find the campaign to be replayable and entertaining, comparable to that of the Warzone modes that fans keep coming back to.

Other exciting announcements have been revealed for the upcoming title as well, such as multiplayer mode, Zombies, and the very popular Warzone battle royale mode.

Kirby Fighters 2 Now Released Exclusively on Nintendo Switch

After an unexpected leak, Kirby Fighters 2 was sneakily released on the Nintendo Switch eStore and it’s already available to play right now for $19.99. The brawler title has Kirby battling it out against other Kirbys in what can simply be described as a Kirby battle royale.

Inquisitive fans initially discovered the game yesterday due to a very strange glitch on the Play Nintendo website. News and reports of the leak quickly spread like wildfire after fans were able to gain access to the unannounced title.

As a result, it appears that these events forced Nintendo to make a move, which is why we can now see that Kirby Fighters 2 has been officially released in the eStore along with a gameplay trailer.

To put it simply, Kirby Fighters 2 seems to be a game comparable to Super Smash Bros., except you’ll find no other Smash Bros. character except Kirby. If you didn’t know, this title is actually a sequel to Kirby: Triple Deluxe, which is a 3DS minigame.

Kirby Fighters 2 lets you play with four players – at most – on a 2D stage that has platforms. The players have the option to choose between Kirby, 17 different copy abilities, or select other characters from the series such as Meta Knight and Magolor.

In order to play the game with your pals, all you need are Joy-Cons and one Nintendo Switch console. You will be able to engage in 4-player battles using the Joy-Cons, although it’s also possible to play with others via online battles or local multiplayer.

The game’s trailer is fun and vibrant, showcasing 17 different forms of Kirby such as Archer and Hammer. It even features Kirby’s new form, “Wrestler.” What’s interesting, though, is the fact that characters such as Meta Knight and King Dedede are able to make use of their abilities from the Super Smash Bros. series.

1280x720_switch_kf2_egdp_scrn_07-3022107

1280x720_switch_kf2_egdp_scrn_08-3694523

That being said, the characters aren’t the only things worth being excited about in Kirby Fighters 2. The game also offers all kinds of items and stages that players will definitely enjoy.

The trailer actually makes an effort to put a spotlight on some of the unique items you’ll find in the game, such as the Buddy Shooting Star. It’s worth noting that these unique items are only obtainable in Team Battle Mode because apparently, they won’t activate until you and your teammate each hold up half of the item.

Once you and your teammate get to do this successfully though, it will trigger a very powerful attack.

Nintendo releasing Kirby Fighters 2 out of nowhere has really surprised all of us. Even though the title was leaked yesterday and rumors were spreading fast, we didn’t expect that Nintendo would give up that easily and just release the game. Although it’s possible that this was a part of their plan all along.

Kirby Fighters 2 may not be as extensive as Super Smash Bros., but it’s a title that’s definitely worth checking out anyway. After all, the gameplay looks similar enough and who wouldn’t want to play with and/or against adorable Kirbys?

Destiny 2 Will Be Making Some Exciting Changes to Missions

0
dst3ade8143248096

Destiny 2 fans have been blessed with teasers and news lately, with the new Europa trailer filling players with excitement as well as the upcoming Festival of the Lost getting nearer and nearer.

Now, Bungie has once again released another This Week at Bungie blog, revealing a bunch of new exciting features that will be included in the game very soon. For one thing, a lot of the fans are already discussing and looking forward to the rumored horror-themed armor that will be a part of the Festival of the Lost event.

Not only that, but fans have been trying to pick apart new information about the highly-anticipated Beyond Light as well, driving fans to theorize and analyze all the possibilities that the expansion has to offer.

Now, in their latest blog post, Bungie is hyping up players to visit the frozen planet called Europa and take part in the many new gameplay activities available there.

d15a790b261fa5_mttaa-1743920

To help you prepare for your Europa visit, Bungie has revealed the planet’s full map for players to peruse. As you can see in the trailer and screenshots, Europa is an extremely cold and icy planet, which adds a whole new challenge for players to face.

Asides from listing down the new content being added to Destiny 2, Engineering Director David Aldridge also discusses some of the behind-the-scenes technical changes done to the missions.

Aldridge mentions that Bungie simply didn’t expect that Destiny 2 would grow back again when it was launched. Also, the fact that they decided to not work on Destiny 3 meant that a lot of the tech investments are going to be used to make Destiny 2 even more sustainable.

One thing that’s worth noting is the fact that the mission scripting model in Beyond Light will be experiencing a shift from the Mission Host to the Physics Host. Doing so will provide the designers with the ability to come up with better and more unique mission mechanics.

As a result of this shift, Bungie warns players that Destiny 2 might have more bugs.

d2fc9bd097159ed_mttcr-1258315

One new feature that this shift will bring to the table is face-to-face join. This feature allows players to be on a Fireteam with Tower friends while avoiding long reload times. You can also expect more Community emblems in Beyond Light like Fashion and Movie of the Week.

We’re all crossing our fingers that by deciding to make some changes to the way mission scripting works, Destiny 2’s missions will be much smoother and won’t let players waste time waiting. Having a few more bugs added to the game, for now, is a small price to pay.

That being said, Bungie encourages the players to report any bugs they may have encountered in the game, as this will help the developers create patches and fixes that much faster.

November is a big and exciting month for the gaming community because Beyond Light will be released on November 10 for PC, PS4, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X, and November 12 for the PS5.

Latest Marvel’s Avengers Patch Improves Captain America

screenshot-avengers-square-enix-games-com-2020-09-25-11_55_29

Since its launch, Marvel’s Avengers has continuously released patch after patch, fixing a few bugs and polishing the game overall in preparation for its first Operation content update.

Before they release Hawkeye to the game, the developers want to make sure that everything else, including the current playable characters, are running the way they’re supposed to.

In line with that, Crystal Dynamics has released another patch recently that players will surely appreciate as it has made a major change to Captain America.

For quite some time now, a high amount of players have been asking the developers for this one change and they really came through. Captain America, using his heavy attack, can now finally destroy breakable walls just like Hulk and Ms. Marvel.

screenshot-avengers-square-enix-games-com-2020-09-25-11_55_57

Before this update went live, Captain America could only destroy the walls and take the rewards you can find within if he had a party member who had that ability. That being said, this change doesn’t really do anything useful in terms of balance.

Captain America may now be able to gather more loot and resources than before – and this can truly help him progress in the game – but just because he can now break walls and smash through doors doesn’t make him naturally strong.

However, this change brings with it the possibility that more fans will play Captain America’s character since he now has more utility.

Captain America isn’t the one who has been given improvements in Marvel’s Avengers’ 1.3.1 patch, though. One bug that was fixed in this patch was the one that stopped players from taking Faction Missions and Villain Sectors. As you know, these play a huge part in the endgame.

Since it’s impossible to go back in time and somehow give the players access, Crystal Dynamics decided that the next best thing they could possibly do was give out free rewards to players.

screenshot-avengers-square-enix-games-com-2020-09-25-11_53_43

If you log into Marvel’s Avengers between now and Thursday, October 1 at 10:00 a.m. PT, you will be able to receive 250 Polychoron and 500 Uru free of charge.

Another thing that players have been frustrated about since the title was launched had to do with the game’s ranged homing attacks and projectiles. Fortunately, patch 1.3.1 has given significant nerfs to these, so fans will surely appreciate this change.

In addition to that, buffs were given to Thor’s light air hammer attacks as well as Iron Man’s thruster uppercut. Among other changes in the patch, you’ll also find various bug fixes and gear balance changes to provide you with a better gameplay experience.

It’s also worth noting that Marvel’s Avengers’ post-launch DLC is scheduled to be released soon. Very soon – this October, to be exact – players will be able to meet Kate Bishop a.k.a Hawkeye in Operation: Taking AIM.

On a later date, Clint Barton, who is the Hawkeye that many are more familiar with, will follow suit as he will also have his own DLC scheduled to drop this November.

Other DLC content will follow after that, as it seems that Crystal Dynamics has a lot of things planned for the future of Marvel’s Avengers.

Monster Hunter Rise Reveals New Concept Art for Monster Magnamalo

At the moment, Monster Hunter Rise is still undergoing development for the Nintendo Switch. The title was revealed during the Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase that took place earlier this month, and fans still have a lot of unanswered questions.

What fans do know for sure, however, is the fact that Magnamalo will be the flagship monster of the title. Through the game’s official Twitter account, Capcom gave the fans a closer look at the monster by revealing new concept art.

Thanks to Magnamalo’s arched back, horns, and tail, a lot of fans were instantly able to compare it to Zinogre, another quadrupedal monster from Monster Hunter World: Iceborne.

However, those three features are where the similarities end, as Zinogre is a Thunder-based elemental monster, while Magnamalo seems to be a Fire-based one since it appears to have purple flames coming out of its mouth.

Magnamalo’s aesthetic design is also different from Zinogre’s, as its facial features seem to be based on Japanese oni masks. The Monster Hunter Twitter account made this connection even more obvious by including a fire emoji and an oni emoji on the tweet.

https://twitter.com/monsterhunter/status/1308834785318633474?s=20

The monster appears to have a bunch of sharp, spiky edges as well, which will surely be a pain in the butt once players get to fight it. Not only that, but Magnamalo also has a scorpion-like tail as well as a sharp row of claws attached to its forelimbs.

That being said, even though Magnamalo is the flagship monster of Monster Hunter Rise just like Valstrax was in Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate and the Gore Magala in Monster Hunter 4, it’s not the only beast you’ll encounter in the upcoming title.

Capcom actually already revealed a few other new monsters in their Monster Hunter Direct video. These new monsters include Tetranadon, an amphibious monster that resembles a Kappa, and a powerful wyvern called Great Izuchi.

screenshot-www-youtube-com-2020-09-25-10_35_44

In addition to adding new one-of-a-kind monsters to the game, Monster Hunter Rise stands out from the previous entry in the Monster Hunter franchise because it has new features and mechanics that are similar to that of Monster Hunter World.

For instance, the upcoming title will have traversal mechanics that will allow your character to run up walls. Not only that, but the game allows you to zip around by using Wire Bugs like a grappling hook.

Monster Hunter Rise also features an all-new companion, the Palamute, which you can ride on top of to easily journey through the land and quickly get to where you’re supposed to go.

In particular, the Palamute seems to be a big selling point for Monster Hunter Rise. This doesn’t come as a surprise, though, since the Palamute is basically a big dog and who doesn’t love dogs?

As a matter of fact, the new merchandise for the game will feature a Palamute plushie, and the companion will even have its own Amiibo figure. Although, the Palico and Magnamalo will also be receiving their own Amiibo as well.

Monster Hunter Rise is scheduled to be released for the Nintendo Switch next year, March 26, 2021.

Amazon Announces Luna, Its Very Own Cloud Gaming Service

0
screenshot-www-amazon-com-2020-09-25-09_17_35

Amazon has revealed in a recent announcement that they’ll be trying their luck in the cloud gaming competition by announcing Luna, its very own cloud gaming service.

Luna is comparable to Google Stadia, although they differ in the fact that while Google Stadia allows you to play games after you purchase them individually, Luna users will be able to access games by subscribing to what Amazon calls “channels.”

For instance, subscribing to the Luna+ channel will offer various games you can play, such as Resident Evil 7, Control, Panzer Dragoon, A Plague Tale: Innocence, Grid, as well as Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair.

Other channels are currently in development, such as a Ubisoft channel that will give you access to games such as Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Far Cry 6, and Immortals Fenyx Rising as soon as they launch.

In a recent announcement, Ubisoft also reveals its plans for its partnership with Luna. Not only with there be new releases featured in their designated Ubisoft channel, but you will also find their older games as well.

https://twitter.com/Ubisoft/status/1309227192161898510?s=20

Luna will be able to support your regular and conventional controllers, as well as a mouse and keyboard setup. However, if you want the full Luna experience, the streaming service also has its own, Alexa-enabled controller that is capable of directly connecting to the cloud so that you can play your games with ease.

In Ubisoft’s announcement, they also further discuss how the system works with Alexa. Basically, you can use Alexa the same way you would normally use it for, let’s say, Prime Video. You can request it to play a certain game and it will open up the game for you.

Amazon also boasts that the controller has “a multiple-antenna design that prioritizes un-interrupted wifi for lower latency gaming.” Sounds pretty cool.

screenshot-www-youtube-com-2020-09-25-09_19_30

As a matter of fact, the tests that Amazon has done show “a reduction in roundtrip latency” when they tried comparing the “Luna Controller with Cloud Direct vs. Luna Controller via Bluetooth.”

Another great reason to use the Luna Controller instead is the fact that, as mentioned, it connects directly to the cloud servers. In other words, you will be able to effortlessly switch between different screens, like mobile to Fire TV and vice versa, with no extra configuration needed.

Luna will also be able to support 1080/60fps graphics, while 4K support for only a certain set of titles is in the works. Of course, Luna will also be intertwined with Twitch i.e. players will be able to check out game streams in Luna. Not only that, but you can also start up Luna games within Twitch itself.

Now, let’s talk about pricing. The Luna+ channel will be available for $6 a month throughout the early phase of Luna. As for the Ubisoft channel, no price has been set for that just yet.

screenshot-www-youtube-com-2020-09-25-09_18_59

Interestingly enough, different channels won’t offer the same set of features. For example, Luna+ subscribers will be able to stream games on two different devices at the same time. That is if they have the bandwidth capacity to do so. The Ubisoft channel, on the other hand, will only allow you to stream on one device.

US-based Amazon customers can now request early access to Luna.

Spellbreak Reaches 5 Million Players In Just 3 Weeks after Release

0
spellbreak-switch-hero

Spellbreak by Proletariat Inc. has reached another milestone of having 5 million downloads in just three weeks after its release. The game is an animated battle royale where players can use magic to damage their enemies with unique classes like Frostborn and Pyromancer made available to suit each player’s different playstyles.

Apex Legends fans might feel a bit familiar with Spellbreak thanks to likeliness in graphics but the latter focuses on third-person perspective magical combat as compared to Apex’s first-person shooter thus making it a totally unique game.

Players can also use various runes including invisibility, dash, flight, and more to improve their mobility on the map, pairing defense and agility to enhance their offensive abilities. Similar to other free live service games of today, Spellbreak also offers various cosmetics for the game’s different classes that players can get by using the gold they have earned as they progress through the game.

As the game continues to grow significantly, the developers revealed that the game has already gathered more than 5 million players since it was launched a few weeks ago. The top three countries where Spellbreak players live are Brazil, Japan, and the United States. Thanks to these players, Spellbreak has also achieved other milestones for the game.

https://twitter.com/PlaySpellbreak/status/1308768217784037378?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1308768217784037378%7Ctwgr%5Eshare_3&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fscreenrant.com%2Fspellbreak-5-million-players-after-launch%2F

Since the game was released, fans have watched 4 million hours of Spellbreak on Twitch, sent 4 million messages via the game’s official Discord server, and have cast 25 billion in spell damage. Spellbreak’s Discord channel has over 300,000 members and has racked over 1.25 million voice minutes.

Before the game as released, it wasn’t that popular for the public. The game wasn’t being featured by publications since this is not the type of game to go mainstream by any stretch of any player’s imagination.

Usually, games like this get buried under trending topics like the upcoming next-gen consoles or the next major installation of a popular franchise such as Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War which is expected to give Spellbreak a decent competition. Hence, for the game to acquire so many players in such a short period of time is proof of the quality the developers have put in Spellbreak.

Spellbreak Tips and Tricks - Best Gaming Settings Spellbreak

There is no doubt that the popularity of battle royale games has increased significantly thanks to Fortnite and PUBG however, the triumph of Spellbreak still remains extraordinary. Seeing a previously unfamiliar title trend upwards to popularity is always compelling and admirable.

Hopefully, the developers continue to build the game through impressive support and quality output.

Both Runescape and Old School Runescape Are Coming to Steam

Eyes here, retro gamers! We have some exciting news for you. Both Runescape as well as the Old School Runescape, which is the retro version of the MMORPG, are making its way to Steam.

Developer and publisher Jagex made the announcement on Twitter, confirming that both games will be released on the storefront. Runescape, otherwise known as Runescape 3 because it’s the most recent version of the title, is scheduled to release on Steam on October 14.

https://twitter.com/RuneScape/status/1309161168783589377?s=20

On the other hand, Old School Runescape, which makes use of the 2007 version as a base, will be arriving sometime in 2021.

Most players know Runescape from the initially-released version in 2001, which could be played using a browser. Later, Jagex utilized dedicated clients, and while Old School Runescape had a lot of third-party clients, neither version of the MMORPG has ever been on a storefront as mainstream and as popular as Steam.

At least, this only applies to the PC, as Runescape has actually been on mobile stores for quite some time now. With Runescape’s 20th anniversary fast approaching, no wonder they’re releasing both titles on Steam.

ss_9767437df270c8a146293d000ad95b3b6023b631-1920x1080-5181448

Jagex CEO Phil Mansell says that the studio aims to “bring the RuneScape universe to more players globally.” As for executive producer Mod Warden, he states that in some of the future changes, you’ll notice that there are improvements on the game’s “experience, onboarding and readability.”

Not only that, but they will be optimizing the user interface as well, from “refining text, content, interaction and hitbox sizes, to engine improvements and stability that support flexibility across the widest array of possible display sizes.”

If you’re new to Runescape, here’s what you can expect to find in the game if or when you decide to try it out:

The MMORPG is set in the Sixth Age of Gielinor, where you will find a fantastical world that’s brimming with both legend and lore. The citizens of Gielinor may appear to be flourishing, but the Elder Gods are still up to no good.

ss_c8f49937739fe32c65326a157415e9e1cb1a1d81-1920x1080-2247418

It’s completely up to you how you want to play the game and what path you want to take. Do you want to simply explore the world and all it has to offer with your friends, or do you wish to seek fortune and fame traveling as a solo adventurer instead?

There are tons of things to do in Runescape, such as farming, fighting a powerful boss, or going on quests. It depends on you what kind of hero you want to be. The title also has a wide roster of NPCs that you can either make friends with or make enemies of.

As you go on your journey, you’ll be able to meet friendly companions, vindictive gods, rogues, as well as villains. Runescape is an MMORPG that has been growing and developing for nearly 20 years now, yet it’s still full of surprises.

Technically, Runescape and Old School Runescape are free-to-play titles, but most of the avid players subscribe to membership programs that will give them access to most of the content.

This is why Jagex will be offering “membership packages” via Steam as well. Subscribing to this will unlock “8 additional skills, over 120 extra quests” and much more.
