Martha is Dead Releases New Reveal Trailer

Martha is Dead is a first-person psychological thriller that takes place in war-stricken Tuscany some time in 1944. After finding out about the death of her twin sister, a young woman is left to deal with her loss, as she investigates the mystery of her sister’s death.

The upcoming game is shrouded in mystery and intrigue, and excited fans will be happy to know that a brand-new trailer has been dropped. Showcasing the game’s use of the Unreal Engine 4, the new reveal trailer mainly focuses on the protagonist reminiscing her childhood.

According to the trailer, the heroine had a pretty peaceful childhood where she enjoyed her days with her nanny. Shortly after, the tone of the trailer changes as the viewer’s focus is redirected to a mysterious, foreboding lake.

We assume that this is the very same lake where Martha’s body was discovered, washed up on the lake’s shore with no clues whatsoever that could lead them to answers. This is where the story begins, as the remaining sister tries to find not only answers but closure as well.

However, it’s safe to say that finding out what happened to Martha won’t be an easy task for the surviving twin. Alongside her fragile state is the similarly fragile state of Tuscany, as it experiences the hopelessness brought about by World War 2.

The inclusion of historical context in a murder-mystery that involves supernatural and “mysterious folklore” is definitely interesting, for lack of a better word. In Martha is Dead, you will be accompanying the heroine on her journey to find out what happened to her sister.

There’s definitely something strange about her death and it’s up to you to figure it out. Immerse yourself in this thrilling and atmospheric title, which contains themes of loss, war, and family.

Without a doubt, Martha is Dead has a lot of potential to become an incredible game, and we can’t wait for it to be released in 2021. It’s also expected to release on next-gen consoles, which should add a whole other level to its immersion.

Sadly, there’s not a lot of information about Martha is Dead’s gameplay. However, based on what we can see from the released trailers, it’s most likely going to be a game that heavily focuses on its narrative.

If our assumptions are correct, then this upcoming title should contain amazing graphics that amp up its storytelling. These two side by side are definitely a winning combination for those who enjoy this kind of genre.

There’s a bunch of intriguing games that are set to release next year, but Martha is Dead is definitely one of the more unique ones. Hopefully, developer LKA and publisher Wired Productions will release more footage featuring its gameplay to give fans a better idea of what to expect once it’s officially released.

We can’t wait for LKA to take us on an emotional and psychological rollercoaster ride. With grief, fright, sadness, and hope beautifully blended together into one horror game, Martha is Dead shows a lot of promise.

Mortal Kombat 11 Releases Skins from Classic 1995 Movie

As expected of a long-standing franchise, the Mortal Kombat series has had its fair share of ups and downs. Some Mortal Kombat titles are still praised and beloved until now, while others are better off lost and forgotten.

Given how the franchise has been around for nearly 30 years, it doesn’t come as a surprise that Mortal Kombat has contributed some iconic and classic characters in today’s pop culture.

When the 1995 Mortal Kombat movie was released, it was extremely well-received by its viewers, so much so that one could say that it received Hollywood treatment. Now, many years later, the classic film is once again brought back into conversations thanks to Mortal Kombat’s creator, Ed Boon, and a few of his tweets.

Mortal Kombat 11 was launched last year, and it had a pretty positive fan reception. The game was able to stay relevant within the video game community thanks to its DLC packs, which contain new characters for players to utilize.

While some additions seem to be pretty obvious character choices, such as Mileena, some DLC packs contain unexpected characters. For instance, fans would have never thought that they’d be able to play as John Rambo in a Mortal Kombat game.

That being said, fans hold on to these unexpected content — it’s what tethers them to Mortal Kombat 11 — and Boon’s recent tweets definitely fall under that category. It all started when Boon shared a photo on Twitter featuring three character skins that look a lot like the actors who played classic characters in the 1995 movie.

Sonya Blade by Bridgette Wilson-Sampras, Johnny Cage by Linden Ashby, and Raiden by Christopher Lambert are showcased in the said tweet, along with a caption that says “MK Movie skins!”

Shortly after, Boon shares a new trailer revealing the “Klassic MK Movie” skin pack. Even though Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate has been officially launched, it’s great that Netherrealm Studios still continues to work hard at improving the game, ensuring that fans will keep returning to it.

The trailer contains a few clips showcasing the gameplay of each new character. In addition, the characters appear to be wearing the same exact outfits they wore in the Mortal Kombat movie.

What makes these character skins stand out from the others is the fact that it contains voice work done by the movie actors themselves. While there are many fans who are currently looking forward to more Mileena-centered content, this surprising trip down memory lane is definitely welcomed and appreciated.

Besides, the Klassic MK Movie Skin Pack is already available for purchase at $5.99. It’s never been a secret that fans have a soft spot for the original 1995 Mortal Kombat flick, so it was definitely a great idea for Boon and the rest of the team to release this kind of nostalgic content. Some fans may not have even realized that they wanted this kind of content until today.

From what we can see, the character skins look crisp and well-designed. Those who are fans of both the franchise and the video game series shouldn’t miss out on this.

Cyberpunk 2077 Players Can Turn Off Nudity

After how many years of waiting, Cyberpunk 2077 is finally going to be released soon. Even though the highly-anticipated RPG was recently delayed (again) to December 10, it doesn’t seem like CD Projekt Red is going to push it back once more.

Now that the launch date is getting closer, the team behind Cyberpunk 2077 has been sharing tidbits of information regarding its development on their personal social media accounts. One thing that was recently revealed is the fact that players have the option to turn off nudity as they play the game.

Those who have been fans of the Cyberpunk franchise for a long time now know that the series isn’t afraid to show some pretty mature content, and this has always been the case even when the game was only a tabletop RPG.

As expected, CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 will also feature these mature themes as well. Early in the year, the ESRB rating of the upcoming title was revealed to contain a slew of adult content, along with drug and alcohol use, violence, and nudity.

However, there’s good news for those players who prefer, for one reason or another, to not be exposed to elements of nudity while playing Cyberpunk 2077. They will be able to toggle off any and all content that has nudity in it.

This information was confirmed by the QA lead of CD Projekt Red, Łukasz Babiel. More specifically, Babiel replied to a fan who asked him a question on Twitter after he shared screenshots showing that he had spent 175 hours playing Cyberpunk 2077.

The Twitter user who goes by the online handle @PillowTrusty asked the QA lead if Cyberpunk 2077 will have some kind of censor or an option for players to toggle off nudity in the settings. In response, Babiel confirmed that there will be an option available for that.

However, fans still don’t know how far that filter or censor will go. In addition, we have yet to find out how often nudity appears in the course of the game to begin with. Some fans also wonder if the censor will generally filter out nudity, gore, blood, etc., or if the toggle only applies to nudity specifically.

In any case, it’s safe to say that Cyberpunk 2077 will have loads of adult content throughout its entirety based on the extended gameplay trailers and footage on its development that have been released.

That being said, it’s great that CD Projekt Red decided on adding this kind of feature, as it gives the players a choice as to what kind of content they want to consume. If they’re not comfortable with the kind of nudity displayed in the game, then they can simply turn it off and censor it.

It feels unreal that Cyberpunk 2077 is finally almost here! After waiting for how many years, fans will finally be able to get their hands on what looks to be an incredible open-world RPG.

The December 10 release date is looking promising as each day passes by, and we don’t expect the studio to announce another delay especially since some fans have already seen PS4 copies of the game displayed on store shelves recently.

Shining Beyond is a Mobile RPG Set to Release on November 26

XII Braves, the very same developer of Valiant Force, announced that it will be launching another mobile RPG very soon entitled Shining Beyond. Available on both iOS and Android devices, Shining Beyond is currently undergoing a pre-registration campaign that will provide those who sign up with all kinds of rewards once the game launches officially.

Shining Beyond is best described as an idle-action hybrid RPG. In other words, players will be able to participate in and enjoy the title’s immersive gameplay, while offline hero progression is also an available option. It all depends on their gameplay preferences.

One feature that will surely catch the attention of potential players is the fact that characters can be customized. As such, they can create a perfect team that will suit their needs.

Shining Beyond is set in a “world enslaved by darkness,” a common narrative in many RPG titles. In order to fight against the evil New Empire that has been terrorizing the realm, a small band of heroes must fight together in order to shine light on those who have lost hope.

The main protagonist of Shining Beyond is known as Jake Galahad, a young Knight born to a human father and an elf mother. Jake grew up bullied by both humans and elves for being different.

Now, Jake – along with his friends and allies – is on a mission to fend off the massive waves of demons that are coming out of the Abyssal gate before they successfully take over the land.

The Resistance, which is made up of these four hero characters, is the only hope against these monsters. Even though a party will only consist of four heroes, players will have over 50 characters to choose from. Unsurprisingly, these heroes can only be acquired through the game’s gacha system.

Depending on how fans want to play the game, Shining Beyond can be enjoyed as a regular action-RPG. However, those who want to grind and level up without breaking a sweat can ask AI for help.

It’s also possible for players to team up and fight with their friends through multiplayer, which is perfect for those players who don’t like fighting solo. The maximum party size in multiplayer mode is twelve.

Shining Beyond’s pre-registration campaign is currently ongoing, and those who do decide to pre-register will be able to avail all kinds of rewards. Just like Touhou Lost Word, another upcoming mobile RPG with its own pre-registration campaign, Shining Beyond has different tiers containing different rewards.

At a minimum of 50,000 users, pre-registered players will be able to obtain a 5-star Blood Ruby Ring. As the number of users increases, potential rewards increase as well, including 100,000 Gold, a pre-registration hero named Olivia as well as her school uniform costume, 1,000 Gems, premium summon tickets, and so much more.

As of writing, there are currently 436,996 pre-registered players out of an expected 500,000. As soon as the game launches, all these rewards will be given to those who signed up.

Shining Beyond will be launching soon this November 26 on both iOS and Android devices.

Rell Is Confirmed To Be The Latest League of Legends Champion

Riot Games has officially confirmed that the last League of Legends champion of this year is Rell, otherwise known as the Iron Maiden. According to her backstory, Rell is from the Noxus region and is a product of “brutal experimentation” that was done at the Black Rose Academy.

Her character is expected to go live on December 9, which is when patch 10.25 is scheduled to launch. Riot Games best describes Rell as a “heavy-armored battle maiden” who doesn’t join a skirmish without her trusted steed.

As we can see, Rell also wields a massive weapon that nobody would want to be on the receiving end of. Asides from her initial reveal, Riot Games also shared Rell’s set of abilities, along with video demonstrations to fully showcase her might.

Break the Mold is the name of Rell’s Passive ability, and it has her attacking her enemies very slowly all while temporarily taking a bit of their Armor and Magic Resist. If you want Rell to become hard and “tanky,” then you can also steal resistance from more than one opponent. Rell’s attacks will become double the amount, as she’ll deal extra damage based on how much resistance she was able to take.

For Rell’s Q ability, we have Shattering Strike, which is a skill that allows her to use her lance to stab forward at her enemies. In other words, Shattering Strike is capable of damaging all foes that are standing in her path.

Now, what makes this ability interesting is that if there’s a teammate bound to Rell through her E ability, both Rell and that particular ally will be able to regain health based on how much damage Shattering Strike was able to deal.

Moving on, there are two sides to her W ability aka Ferromancy. The first side, which is known as Crash Down, can only be cast by Rell if she’s mounted on her horse. It’s a pretty strong ability that allows her to transform the horse into a shield that will last until it gets destroyed or if she decides to mount again.

When using this ability, Rell will leap into the air and then crash-land onto her enemies, knocking them down and dealing damage in the process. During this transformation, the champion will be able to cast her R and E abilities.

On the other hand, the second side of Ferromancy is known as Mount Up. You might have guessed it, but this skill can only be cast if the champion is in her armored form. In this case, Rell will transform her armor back to the mount it once was, giving her an increase in movement speed. When she attacks an enemy, she will be able to deal extra damage.

Attract and Repel is Rell’s E ability, and this gives her the ability to bind herself and an ally together. As such, that particular teammate will be able to receive bonus Armor and Magic Resist when in range.

Lastly, Rell’s ultimate or R ability is called Magnet Storm. When Rell casts this ability, she creates a gravitational field around her that will pull surrounding enemies to her like a magnet.

Rell will be galloping her way to League of Legends’ servers next month and we can’t wait to try her out.

Reliable Leaker Claims That Fortnite Will Add Mod Support Soon

Epic Games released Fortnite more or less three years ago, and since then, a slew of new content and features were introduced to the battle royale, such as map changes, skins, weapons, and so much more.

As a matter of fact, it feels like every new season of Fortnite brings the game a step further, turning it into an even better game than ever before. Players have been able to utilize more customization throughout the years.

As a matter of fact, Epic Games has even implemented a creative mode that gave fans access to tools that allowed them to create their own world within Fortnite. Now, it appears that the developer will be introducing a new feature in the form of mod support, according to a reliable Fortnite leaker.

The leaker, who goes by the online handle Lucas7Yoshi, took to Twitter to share with their followers the additional feature. That being said, Lucas7Yoshi isn’t exactly sure as to what extent the game will allow mods, but they claim that it’s “100% in the works.”

Without a doubt, players would absolutely love it if this leak were true, as it gives them even more creative freedom to customize their characters and more. In line with this, fans have been wondering how these mods would be regulated if this leak turns out to be true.

After all, PC users would have an unfair advantage if the mods are only available on that specific platform. However, Epic Games could always just limit the use of mods to particular game modes such as private or creative matches.

Another option would be to limit mods to simple skin changes and textures. This would be a great compromise that will allow creative freedom all while ensuring that there won’t be any unfair advantages.

At this point, countless video games have incredibly active modding communities that regularly release new content for players to enjoy. A few examples of such games include The Elder Scrolls and Grand Theft Auto 5.

Mods aren’t restricted to one genre, but it usually works well with RPG and open-world titles that already have in-depth customization options to begin with. That being said, it’s best to be cautious when applying mods to multiplayer games though, as there’s a chance that other players will be affected as well.

In any case, we’ll find out if Lucas7Yoshi’s claim that Fortnite will be introducing mod support is true or not soon enough. After all, Chapter 2 Season 4 of Fortnite is coming to an end — this November 30, to be precise.

This season was definitely a great one, especially since it featured all kinds of Marvel additions and events like a Marvel Nexus War, a Marvel Knockout LTM, as well as the inclusion of countless Marvel characters in the form of skins.

Square Enix Announces The World Ends with You Sequel

Ever since The World Ends with You was initially released on the Nintendo DS in 2007, fans have been waiting for Square Enix to release a sequel. Since its original release, the game was able to gather a huge following of fans who have been patiently waiting for more than a decade for part 2.

In 2018, the game was given a Nintendo Switch remaster entitled The World Ends with You: Final Remix, while an anime adaptation is expected to release next year. Now, Square Enix has officially announced that the DS game will finally be getting a sequel entitled NEO: The World Ends With You.

The announcement came after a seven-day countdown found on the game’s official website. NEO: The World Ends with You is a direct sequel to the original DS title from 2007, which features a brand-new set of characters.

This time around, these new characters will be the ones to participate in the “Reapers’ Game,” which is a battle for survival that takes up to one week. You will be following Rindo, the new protagonist of the series, who wakes up to find himself in Shibuya inside the death game. The other participants include Nagi, Fret, as well as Minamimoto who was in the first game.

One thing that makes NEO different from the original game is its visual style. We can definitely see that Kingdom Hearts creator Tetsuya Nomura still plays a huge part in this game’s character design. However, The World Ends with You used to be a 2D side-scroller, whereas NEO has switched over to fully-rendered 3D characters.

We can imagine that there will be dedicated fans of the original game who will be irked by this change. Ever since The World Ends with You was released, Producer Tetsuya Nomura has always been so vocal about wanting to return to the franchise. This possibility became even more likely after the Nintendo Switch remaster was released in 2018.

However, discussions surrounding the game died down after the Nintendo Switch remake didn’t sell as well as the company had hoped. The fans were pretty much caught by surprise when it was announced that the game would be getting an anime adaptation.

At the same time, this was a good thing because it meant that Square Enix hadn’t given up on the series yet. Now that NEO: The World Ends with You is set to release some time in Summer 2021, we assume that the anime adaptation is the company’s last attempt to introduce new players to the original game.

The trailer was released in English, which indicates that NEO: The World Ends with You will be getting a global launch. More specifically, the game will have English subtitles with Japanese audio, which could mean that an English dub is still in the works or the game will stick with Japanese audio upon launch.

NEO: The World Ends with You will be released on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch this 2021.

Square Enix Announces New Tomb Raider Game

It’s been a while since there’s been any news about the Tomb Raider franchise. While there has been recent news regarding the next film adaptation of the series, Square Enix hasn’t made any announcements about a new Tomb Raider video game – that is, until recently.

A few hours ago, Square Enix published a teaser trailer for a brand-new game called Tomb Raider Reloaded on its official YouTube channel. Even though the teaser only lasts for a few seconds, it’s quite obvious what kind of game it’s going to be.

Instead of getting a full console release, fans of Tomb Raider will be able to experience Lara Croft’s adventures on mobile devices this 2021. Tomb Raider Reloaded features a stylized cartoony version of the classic Lara Croft from the original Tomb Raider games. As such, the Lara Croft in this upcoming title is one that we haven’t seen in quite a while.

Since the trailer hasn’t reached a minute, there’s not a lot we can glean in terms of gameplay. Although, it’s safe to assume that Tomb Raider Reloaded will separate itself from both the latest film adaptations and modern video game titles.

Given how the trailer showcases a huge T-Rex, which is an obvious reference to the much-older Tomb Raider games, we expect Reloaded to be a light-hearted and casual game you can play on the go. Besides this information though, its gameplay is still up in the air, as we’re unsure if we’ll be getting an endless runner type game or a top-down shooter.

That being said, this wouldn’t be the first time that Lara Croft found her way to mobile platforms. Lara Craft Go was released in 2015, which is a mobile game that focused on strategy and solving puzzles.

Even though the kind of game it’s going to be is still up in the air, the game’s title along with the fact that Lara uses her iconic dual-wield pistols in the trailer could be a clue that Tomb Raider Reloaded will have a more action-packed style of gameplay.

This is purely speculation though, as we still don’t know for certain how the game will play. In any case, we’re definitely excited to see what Emerald City Games has planned for the mobile title.

That being said, it’s great that the Tomb Raider franchise has awoken from its dormancy. Fans will be able to enjoy some Lara Croft content next year while waiting for any news regarding Tomb Raider’s mainline series.

With Crystal Dynamics focusing their time and attention on Marvel’s Avengers’ upcoming DLC, it will probably be a while before a new mainline entry will be announced. For now, fans will have to settle for a cartoon version of Lara Croft as she goes on a dinosaur-filled adventure this 2021.

One great thing about Tomb Raider Reloaded is that it will be a free-to-play title. In other words, players won’t need to drop a single penny in order for them to get the full Tomb Raider Reloaded experience.

It may not be the announcement fans wanted, but it seems like a great game to pass the time with.

Future Valorant Maps Will Be Similar to Icebox Design

Valorant released Act 3 last month which provided fans with a lot of new content. However, it seems that many are not altogether happy with them. One of the main issues that many fans had was against the newest Valorant map named Icebox, so much so that a vocal group of naysayers even wanted the map removed completely.

Now, those fans who had a problem with Icebox may not be too pleased with what Riot Games has planned for future map designs. Design Director Joe Ziegler recently confirmed in a Dev Diary video that the upcoming maps they’re working on will have a similar design to the contentious Icebox map.

If you haven’t been keeping up with the latest Valorant news, the way Icebox was designed caused a hubbub in the game’s community. There are many players who feel neutral about the map, but as mentioned, there’s a vocal group that wants it gone.

One of the reasons why they dislike Icebox so much is because there are so many angles that they have to deal with. Not only that, Icebox deals with a lot of vertical vantage points throughout the map, and some also don’t like that.

Despite the commotion, it seems that Valorant’s design team is happy with how Icebox turned out, and upcoming maps might be following its footsteps design-wise.

Just today, the most recent Dev Diary video was released on Valorant’s official YouTube channel, and the main topic was the future of the game’s maps. In general, Ziegler discussed the addition of map diversity, as well as the future of maps in Riot’s first-person shooter.

Ziegler explained that the first four maps that were initially included in Valorant were meant to help the players get accustomed to the game and its playstyle. Following that statement, however, Ziegler said that “Moving forward, I hope you can see how we’ll continue challenging the basic concepts of map design in order to promote more diverse, strategic play.”

The Design Director went on to say that Icebox was able to do what they wanted to convey, as its design promotes matches that require “sharper aim and quicker decision making to win.”

From this video, it’s clear to see that the team behind Valorant’s map design is pleased with how Icebox turned out and they won’t simply be discouraged by the fans’ criticisms. While it’s most likely impossible for Riot Games to remove Icebox completely, there’s still a chance that Valorant’s development team will make some changes and improvements to future maps.

There’s also another thing that Ziegler talked about in the Dev Diary video that may be interesting to some. He confirmed that the ability to create community-made maps won’t be supported in Valorant for awhile.

This is because it would take “years of development time” to add that kind of feature into the game. In any case, while those who are against Icebox may not be thrilled about this news, those players who do happen to enjoy it can look forward to similarly-challenging maps in the future.
