Special cosmetic items are being given away via Fortnite’s Reboot A Friend program where players have to convince friends who haven’t played the game in a while to make their return to The Island. However, this initiative hasn’t been made globally available yet, but it is a distinct way to persuade players to return to the game, even for only a few rounds.

Not that Fortnite needs the Reboot a Friend initiative to retain its player base. Even though some of the most popular streamers have already left the game, it still remains as one of the most viewed titles on Twitch with a hundred thousand viewers at any given time.

Other games including Roblox have even tried to copy Fortnite’s live events because of the huge number of players that they attract. Yet, Fortnite still continues to provide new ideas that further increase its already colossal following.

While it has yet to be formally announced by Epic Games, gamers from Italy and Brazil have begun receiving invitations to the new Reboot A Friend program. According to reputable Fortnite leaker iFireMonkey, the program will compensate players who play with friends who have not played Fortnite for quite some time.

The post didn’t mention how long a player has to have been away from the game for them to qualify for the initiative, but players can earn rewards depending on the number of matches played with the returning player. The Reboot A Friend program is apparently only being tested in Italy and Brazil as of writing and is only available for players who received an invitation from the developers.

There are four unique exclusive rewards that players can get when playing with their returning friends. After the first round, players will get the Reboot Emoticon. After five rounds, they will be rewarded with the Key Change Music Pack. After the tenth, the Twin Talons Pickaxe, and after the twentieth, the Holofoil Wrap.

It was not stated whether or not both players will get rewards after reaching a particular level. It is also uncertain when this initiative will be made available worldwide. However, the cosmetic items were revealed that they will be introduced in Chapter 2 Season 4, which means the program might be available to everyone this season.

Compensating players with free cosmetics is an excellent way to inspire them to finish whatever challenge they are tasked with. The PlayStation 5 is already launched in Japan, the United States, and other select regions last November 12, but still haven’t arrived in the UK until today, November 19, 2020.

While there have been rumors of PlayStation 5 shipment delays across the whole region, most of the issues enveloping the console are about its multiple launch bugs or the greatness of Demon’s Souls, typically the only launch exclusive for the PlayStation 5 on release.

To be fair, the PlayStation 5’s size is colossal, and many console reviews have pointed out this feature. With this said, it doesn’t seem to have affected any other region’s delivery services, and Game’s press release reads a lot worse with context from Yodel.

A spokesperson from the aforementioned delivery company responded on its involvement revealing that they have been “consistently clear on the order volumes” with Game and that it has been “deeply disappointing that Yodel’s name has been incorrectly used” via a statement in BBC.

It’s disappointing for fans that even though they were lucky enough to secure a limited PlayStation 5 preorder, they won’t be able to enjoy the system at launch in the United Kingdom, and that is totally acceptable.

Doom Eternal is transitioning to a digital-only release on its Nintendo Switch port, which produced confusion among fans thinking that the port had been aborted when their preorders were canceled. Annapurna Interactive Delays Several Indie Games

In an unfortunate series of events, Annapurna Interactive has announced that three of its upcoming titles will be delayed. The three games in question, namely The Artful Escape, Twelve Minutes, and Last Stop, will be released some time in 2021 since all three are almost done with development.

The publisher made this sad announcement on its official Twitter account, increasing the list of delayed games this year. Annapurna didn’t specify the reason why it decided to push back the games’ release dates, but the publisher did note that all three titles are close to being done and only need “polishing” now.

Alongside these three titles, which are scheduled to be released near each other, Annapurna Interactive will also be launching Maquette, Stray, and Solar Ash in 2021 after The Pathless is released on PlayStation 5.

The first highly-anticipated game on Annapurna’s list of delayed titles is Twelve Minutes, which is a one-of-a-kind interactive thriller that features “a man trapped in a time loop.” As the game’s protagonist, players are on a mission to do everything they can to change the fate of the protagonist.

Fortnite’s Marvel-themed season will soon be holding its grand finale via a $1 million Super Cup, and the best thing about it is participating in the tournament is super easy.

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 4 is reaching its last days after several months of Marvel-filled awesomeness. However, developer Epic Games won’t let the season end without a thrilling event. The good news is almost anyone can sign up and participate in the upcoming $1 million Marvel Super Cup.

Here are all the details interested players need to know about the tournament:

How to Join The Tournament

One would expect that with such a massive prize pool, the requirements in joining the tournament will be difficult to meet. However, for this contest, that is obviously not the case. As a matter of fact, Epic Games is kind enough to let any player compete in the upcoming Super Cup.

There will be no qualifiers or any of that sort for the upcoming tournament. When the Fortnite Super Cup kicks off, a competitive tab will be added on the game’s main menu and all players have to do is click join.

Of course, this doesn’t mean that there will be totally no qualifications for players to participate. Only players who have registered their account with two-factor authentication and with a level of 30 and above will be qualified to join the tournament.

What to Expect

The Marvel Super Cup follows the same rules as the past Fortnite Super Cups. The game will pick winners based on a point system. Duos players will have to accumulate 55 points in order to get first place.

During the initial rounds, each duo would need to join 10 games for three full hours and accumulate points through the process. The overall number of kills and placement in matches will determine the final points given to the duo.

At the end of the first round, the majority of players will get kicked off the tournament. The number of players that will advance will depend on the region they are playing from. Players from Brazil, Europe, North America West, and North America East will each have 1000 players advancing to the next round. On the other hand, the Middle East, Oceania, and Asia regions will each only have 500 players advancing through.

Schedule and Rewards Distribution

Every regional tournament will have its own cut of the $1 million prize pool. However, the amount will vary depending on the popularity and density of the region. Based on the region, the first placers will receive around $2000 to $4000 while the last placers will get $400 to $600.

The Fortnite $1M Marvel Super Cup will begin at 1 PM EST or 10 AM PT for European countries. This will be immediately followed by the North American tournaments at 5 PM EST. Broadcasts of the tournament will only begin on the second round of the tournament via Fortnite’s official Twitch and YouTube channels.

Earlier this month, Capcom was involved in a dreadful cyberattack and the hackers were, unfortunately, successful in stealing company information like current and future video game plans, as well as the personal information of several employees.

Unsurprisingly, the stolen information regarding the company’s video game plans was leaked recently, which revealed that Capcom is potentially working on a new Monster Hunter title.

Among the list of unannounced titles is a Monster Hunter game that’s allegedly going to come after Monster Hunter World and Monster Hunter Rise. At the moment, Capcom has labeled the upcoming game as Monster Hunter 6, along with a release window of 2023.

If there’s any truth to this leak, then it doesn’t come as a surprise that Capcom is developing a Monster Hunter 6 game. After all, it makes a lot of sense to create a sequel for a game as well-received and as popular as Monster Hunter World.

Not only that, Monster Hunter World offered all kinds of new and exciting content to its players, such as the introduction of new gameplay mechanics, DLCs, quest systems, and so much more. Given how successful the Monster Hunter franchise has become, it seems somewhat expected that Capcom would develop another title, but the company doesn’t appear to be ready to make any official announcements so only time will tell.

That being said, Capcom doesn’t name its games all willy-nilly; there is a rhyme and a reason for its titles. Another great example is Monster Hunter Rise, which is named that way due to its new Wire Bug gameplay as well as the verticality of its levels.

In that case, it’s safe to assume that Monster Hunter 6 will be named with whatever new element or feature will be introduced in the game. As a whole, it’s best to take rumors and leaks like this with a grain of salt.
