CD Projekt Red Breaks Promise As Cyberpunk 2077 Delayed Again Until December

1
maxresdefault-7-6

The news that Cyberpunk 2077 fans across the globe have feared to hear has been made, as developer CD Projekt Red has revealed that the game will be delayed again, this time until December 10, 2020. Cyberpunk 2077 is the latest game by The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s developer, CD Projekt Red, which is considered as one of 2020’s Game of the Year contender – expecting it still launches this year.

Cyberpunk 2077 has been the subject of multiple high profile delays. The title was initially scheduled to be released last April but was postponed until September, as the development team revealed that it still needs more polishing.

Cyberpunk 2077 was again delayed, from September until November 19. However, despite countless promises to the contrary, the game has been pushed back once again, but at least it is a short one. CD Projekt Red has posted the announcement via the official Twitter account of Cyberpunk 2077, revealing the game has been delayed to December 10, 2020.

Based on the statement, the reason for this delay is the difficulty of shipping the game for not just the current-gen consoles, but for the next-gen consoles, PC, and Stadia as well. While the game’s next-gen version won’t be released until next year, the developers still had to do some tests to ensure that it would run properly on the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 backward compatibility feature.

Fans may be perplexed about the latest delay of Cyberpunk 2077. After all, the development team already revealed that the game has gone gold, which usually means that fans don’t have to stress themselves worrying about further delays.

In its statement, the developers explained that the game has been completed in terms of having all of its content in it, but there is still room for improvement when talking about raising the quality bar. The developers also said that it underestimated the work that still needs to be done during the final days of development.

While fans will obviously be disappointed that the game’s release has been pushed back again, it might be good to understand first that this decision by CD Projekt Red was made to guarantee that the game will be of the highest quality possible when it finally rests on the hands of players.

Meanwhile, there is still a lot of big game launches slated for November 2020, and the delay of Cyberpunk 2077, even though disappointing, might give these games time to shine. Several games will be launching along the side of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles on November 10 and 12, so gaming enthusiasts should have no scarcity of titles to play while they are waiting for Cyberpunk 2077 to finally release.

Rainbow Six Siege Halloween Event Transforms Operators Into Muppet-Like Characters

October is almost reaching its end, which also means Halloween is fast approaching. Many video games have already started their in-game Halloween events, but this doesn’t seem to be the case for Rainbow Six Siege.

You see, Ubisoft hasn’t given any indication that it will be hosting a Halloween event in the online tactical shooter. Although this doesn’t really come as a surprise to long-time players, as the title is deeply rooted in the real world – just without the technologically-advanced gadgets and weapons, of course.

Rainbow Six Siege getting a bizarre Halloween event is definitely the last thing that players would expect, but it appears that this is exactly what they’re going to get. And given the circumstances, one can even say that “strange” wouldn’t even come close to describing this event.

From October 27 through November 10, Rainbow Six Siege will be participating in this year’s Halloween festivities through its event called Sugar Fright. This new event was announced through a recently-uploaded trailer that showcased firefighting, which takes place in what appears to either be a new or updated map.

The strangest part about this entire trailer and event in general is the fact that the operators look like puppets. If you take a quick look at the trailer above, you’ll see that the models for each character look like they have a texture made out of felt along with googly eyes to see, which makes the operators look like Muppets.

Seasoned players know how Ubisoft was able to bring all kinds of updates to Rainbow Six Siege and its world, but none have surpassed just how strange this one is.

On another note, the map for the Sugar Fright event is also worth talking about. Based on the trailer, it appears that the Halloween event will take place in what seems to be a nightmarish caricature of a small town.

You’ll find that multiple items found on the map are related to dessert or sweets, from ginormous lollipops to a cake factory. In the middle of this sweet-looking town, the operators-slash-puppets are scurrying around and shooting at one another.

That being said, there shouldn’t be any surprises when it comes to the gameplay. In other words, what you see on the trailer is pretty much what you’ll get once you play the game yourself.

screenshot-www-youtube-com-2020-10-27-20_14_20

Unlike Rainbow Six Siege’s previous announcements, such as the Sam Fischer animation, this upcoming event focuses more on gameplay. The trailer’s editing is pretty fun and goofy though, so we commend it for that.

Asides from the fact that the models now look like Muppets, another alteration made has to do with the game’s effects. More specifically, there is a lack of blood during the Sugar Fright event, as it appears that the characters will simply burst into colorful smoke when shot and eliminated.

This may not be the first time that Rainbow Six Siege will celebrate Halloween, but it’s definitely not even close to the events Ubisoft has done before. For instance, the Halloween event that took place last year was entitled Doktor’s Curse, and it gave players the ability to become invisible monsters.

That being said, we’re still not sure if these puppet-like appearances are just skins, or if the operators will really turn into puppets for the duration of the event. If they are skins, though, it would be great if they become available for longer even after the event is over, as they’re creepy yet really well-designed.

Phasmophobia is now Steam’s best-selling title

Indie game Phasmophobia has reached a new milestone and is now outselling popular games such as Cyberpunk 2077 and Baldur’s Gate 3 on Steam. The recent rise of Among Us and Fall Guys proves how much gamers are willing to give to indie games right now. Just a month after its release, another indie game by the title of Phasmophobia is taking over the gaming world.

During Steam’s weekly sales report, a ResetEra user by the username AshenOne announced that Phasmophobia is now the best-selling game on their platform. Furthermore, the indie coop horror game has been sitting at the top of the charts for more than two weeks now.

This means Phasmophobia has ousted the thrilling social speculation game, Among Us, as Steam’s best seller. In addition, the game is currently outselling the recently released Baldur’s Gate 3 and the preorders for the upcoming action RPG game Cyberpunk 2077.

A few weeks ago, the game has become one of the top five most played titles on Steam. A whopping 85,000 were supposedly playing the game concurrently and it is still performing better on the charts. As far as indie games go, gaming enthusiasts can’t find a title more “indie” than Phasmophobia.

As a matter of fact, only one person developed the popular coop horror game. While most players would not consider this feat to be anything worthwhile, the fact that it is performing better than other AAA games designed by famous studios is absolutely not something to belittle of.

This is definitely an exciting time for gaming enthusiasts across the world. With the coronavirus pandemic forcing people to stay at home, this has forced a lot of gamers to give indie games an opportunity.

It is also revitalizing to see that games such as Among Us and Phasmophobia, both designed by small studios, taking the big fight with major developers. Kinetic Games, the studio that developed the now popular psychological thriller, has received massive support from its swiftly growing gaming community since a lot of them are eager to see what the development team can do to further grow and evolve its popular game now that it has really kicked off.

It’s certainly difficult to say what makes Phasmophobia so popular to the masses. While the visuals aren’t that good, the fear factor is surely something to hang onto. Inspired by Amnesia’s gameplay, Phasmophobia has a lot of jumpscares but the fact that gamers can play and get shocked with their friends makes it all worthwhile.

A lot of players consider the game as a fusion of Amnesia, Five Nights At Freddy’s, and Ghostbusters. While the game is not completely original as far as other scary games go, it being a coop game has made Phasmophobia standout in its genre.

Ultimately, Phasmophobia became so famous that popular YouTubers and streamers such as Shroud, Pokimane, Pewdiepie, and Jacksepticeye have pushed the game to unreachable heights.

Next-Gen Consoles Will Support 60 FPS On PUBG

The launch of the upcoming next-gen consoles is almost upon us, and it seems that there’s some great news for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds players. In a recent announcement, PUBG will receive a new update that will allow the game to run at 60 frames-per-second on the upcoming consoles as well as on a few current-gen ones.

Looking at the previous updates for PUBG, these ones featured new game modes or even included a few new bots. However, this update in question will focus more on the game’s visual performance.

Thanks to PUBG Corporation’s console team, we now have more details regarding PUBG’s console update, along with information regarding the developer’s plans for other platforms.

In the announcement, the game’s console team revealed that PUBG will be available to play on the new Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PlayStation 5 upon its release next month all thanks to backward compatibility.

bg-key-5147166

If that isn’t rad enough, the battle royale will also be capable of running at 60 FPS on these next-gen consoles via the Framerate Priority option. For those who don’t plan on getting either one of the Xbox Series X or the PlayStation 5, this option will also be available on the Xbox One X and PS4 Pro.

That being said, this new option will go live on the aforementioned current-gen consoles with the 9.1 update, which is set to launch on October 29. The update will also be made available to the next-generation consoles as soon as they get released.

On another note, the Xbox Series X version of PUBG will support the same game builds from the Xbox One X and Xbox One S. Rather unfortunately though, the Xbox Series X will be the only one to support 60 FPS through the new Framerate Priority option.

Just like the Xbox One S, the Xbox Series S version will only be able to run up to 30 FPS. On the other hand, the PlayStation 5 will be making use of the PlayStation 4 Pro’s game build.

On a much brighter note, PUBG Corporation mentioned that the online multiplayer will be able to utilize cross-platform play, cross-progression, as well as cross-generation multiplayer on various platforms that can play PUBG.

In other words, those who play PUBG on a console will be able to transfer their files conveniently and free of charge without having to worry about losing their progress and their acquired cosmetics.

screenshot-www-youtube-com-2020-10-27-19_44_52

In addition to that, players will be able to team up with one another even when they’re using different platforms and console generations. Although, PUBG Corporation’s console team didn’t mention if the same cross-play support is applicable to PC players.

After what the team described as “rigorous testing,” the developer is proud and optimistic to say that PUBG will be able to run at 60 FPS on the upcoming consoles. Not only that, but the game will have reduced frame rate drops as well as the ability to smoothly run the game with faster load times.

That being said, fans will be able to experience the upgraded frames-per-second mode first-hand once the update goes live this October 29.

eBay Making Big Money With Shiny Pokemon Black Market

0
maxresdefault-5-6

eBay is one of the oldest digital marketplaces on the internet and is now the site of a Shiny Pokemon black market where mysterious Pokemon hunters are making a lot of profit selling colored variants of popular virtual creatures. Similar to the rest of eBay, some sellers are offering fake items for lower prices while others are selling legitimate Shiny Pokemon at an expensive rate.

For those unfamiliar, Shinies are ultra-rare color variants of Pokemon which can be acquired by encountering the same Pokemon again and again. The probability of finding a Shiny Pokemon in Sword and Shield are 1 in 4096.

This probability can be increased by hunting Shiny Pokemon in particular ways such as engaging in Dynamax Adventures, Masuda hunting, and defeating over 500 of a particular species. Because of low probability and the random number generator, encountering a Shiny can take days, weeks, or even months. The sheer scarcity of these Shiny Pokemon makes them extremely wanted even if they don’t acquire any new moves, improved stats, or one of a kind abilities.

Some Pokemon trainers would rather avoid the hours of repetitious hunting in exchange for several dollars on the internet. Aside from secondhand gaming consoles, players can now buy Shiny Pokemon on eBay.

There are thousands of Shiny Pokemon listings for various Pokemon games such as Pokemon HOME, Pokemon Go, and Pokemon Sword and Shield. A quick search of sold listings for Shiny Pokemon will let players see hundreds of these Shinies being sold on a daily basis with prices ranging from a dollar to hundreds of dollars. However, not all listings are completely authentic.

A lot of Shiny Pokemon that are listed were not authentically acquired, but are actually hacked then put in the game complete with their Hidden Abilities and almost perfect stats. These listings are easy to spot as most of them are for Pokemon Sword and Shield and are offered with perfect IV Shiny Pokemon for only $2.

shiny-pokemon-sold-listings-ebay-6757741

For players who don’t care about the legitimacy of a Shiny Pokemon, there aren’t a lot of consequences in buying one except for feeling guilty for fabricating such an achievement. Players can always count on the listings for Shiny Pokemon in Pokemon Go since it’s currently not probable to fake a Pokemon in the game. Potential buyers will observe that Pokemon Go Shinies have a higher price compared to Pokemon Sword and Shield, and Pokemon Home Shinies because of this information.

The Shiny Pokemon black market is growing in a significant amount daily on eBay according to existing listings by simply selling rare monsters to desperate players. Purchasing a Shiny Pokemon on the internet is the same as a hunter displaying a head of a deer on their trophy wall that they didn’t kill themselves, and purchasing a hacked Shiny Pokemon is as if the deer head is an absolute fake.

Nonetheless, fake and authentic Shiny Pokemon are still worth a lot of dollars online and are making eBay retailers a huge income.

Developer InnerSloth Releases New Update That Deals With Annoying Hacks

0
screenshot-www-youtube-com-2020-10-27-16_59_42

According to one of InnerSloth’s developers, the most recent update to the hit game Among Us should fix some of the known hacks currently being exploited by cheaters. To give you a general gist of what the game is, Among Us is a social deduction game created by InnerSloth’s impressive team of three.

As for how the game works, Crewmates need to successfully complete their tasks all while trying to throw out the Impostors who are out to kill each and every one of them. The catch is, these Impostors look just like every other Crewmate, so it’s fairly hard to identify one unless their actions become suspicious.

Even though Among Us was released in 2018, the game saw a huge boost in its playerbase beginning from the summer of this year.

That being said, the game’s rise in popularity also attracted the bad eggs. As such, there has been an increase in cheaters and hackers as of late. For some reason, cheating in Among Us has become more and more commonplace these days, even though players don’t really receive any rewards for winning a match.

For instance, there was one hacker who spawned multiple copies of their Among Us character, while some hackers customized the game to eject a player even though they only received one vote. Even worse are those hackers who directly put an end to the match, which immediately declares their character or team as the winner.

As for more recent cases, hacks have become even more intricate, exemplified by the way one hacker was able to force players to send spam messages as well as pro-Trump messages on the built-in chat. Shortly after, InnerSloth had to step in and quickly work on an emergency update.

Now, it appears that the developer was able to successfully finish the updates and is now rolling them out to the public. According to programmer Forest Willard, InnerSloth has released two waves of anti-hack updates that are supposed to deal with the current hacking and cheating issues.

The programmer’s tweet also states that the second wave will deal with the chat spam issue in particular, as well as mass despawn. This is the hack wherein the entire map is rendered completely black.

In a follow-up tweet, Willard states that both waves appear to be “pretty effective,” although he reminds players that these updates didn’t deal with all the hacks currently present in Among Us.

On the bright side, the new updates that were released should allow players to ban hacked rooms. At least as a temporary fix, this should help in slowly getting rid of the annoying lobbies.

We’re unsure when the next chat spam hack will weasel its way into the game, although we’re hoping that nothing of the sort will ever take place again. However, this might sadly be a more unrealistic wish.

Given how popular Among Us has become, it will most likely remain as a target for many future hacks and cheats. Fortunately, InnerSloth is quick to fix whatever issues players may be dealing with, although it appears that the invisibility glitch has yet to be addressed.

Nexus War is Just Start of Marvel and Fortnite Crossover

0

Fortnite will continue introducing more Marvel characters and other related content, as the partnership between the two companies for a few more years after the current crossover season ends.

The ongoing Marvel Nexus War in Season 4 of Fortnite, which sets players against Marvel villains such as Galactus, seems to be just the beginning of a long-lasting partnership. It also looks like Fortnite is planning to customize Fortnite even further by utilizing brand deals it has recently received with Star Wars and DC, resulting in countless metaverse probabilities.

A lot of the success Fortnite is getting today has been fueled by the addition of countless new content Epic Games has been integrating into the game since it was released a few years ago. Every crossover has been critical to the game staying relevant. The Fortnite x Marvel crossovers have already featured characters including Hulk, Wolverine, Storm, Thor, and more, and the development team has collaborated with other media franchises and brands in the past.

https3a2f2fspecials-images-forbesimg-com2fimageserve2f5f466cc8b0ae14d1147fa9ba2f0x0-7469280

The two extremely popular companies first partnered together back in 2018 which resulted in the creation of the Infinity Gauntlet mode. While other partnerships have emerged, none have been quite as famous as the Fortnite and Marvel crossover.

Fortnite’s worldwide creative director, Donald Mustard, revealed that more Marvel content and features will be coming to the game, but didn’t announce any specific details. Donald was the guest in last week’s This Week in Marvel podcast, where he talked about Marvel and Fortnite’s existing partnership.

The interview mainly focused on the long-term goals of the collaboration which he gave intriguing clues to fans who want to learn more about new content. Developer Epic Games has observed this trend and based on the interview, the crossover will exist for many more years to come.

fortnite_c2s4_bplineup-0-8179231

Meanwhile, Epic Games isn’t hesitating from introducing partnerships with other brands into its ever-growing famous battle royale. With Halloween just around the corner, Fortnite’s yearly Fortnitemares celebration has been released. Along with creepy seasonal challenges and skins, the Ghostbusters are also set to appear in the game for a limited time.

It is great news for all Fortnite players to know that Marvel-inspired content will still be available in the game even in the coming years. Mustard’s revelation comes at a time when Epic Games is trying to satisfy new Fortnite players who just began playing the battle royale game because of its Marvel content.

It was essential that the developers found a way to not only invite new players but also keep them invested in the game. Season 4 proved to be so famous that Epic Games risked losing a significant number of players if Marvel wasn’t there in the long run.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Announced for Mobile Devices

0
eloplkzu8aalph8

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is a Metroidvania type of video game that was initially released in 2019 for both PC and consoles. Developed by ArtPlay, the title began as a Kickstarter project that was able to garner a massive $5.5 million from its supporters.

Now, it appears that Bloodstained continues to stay afloat in the saturated video game market. Publisher NetEase Games recently announced that Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is making its way to both iOS and Android devices at some point in the near future.

According to the publisher, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night will not be a free-to-play title. Although, this doesn’t really come as a surprise because the other versions of the game (e.g. the Steam version and the game’s other platforms) were also premium titles and players had to purchase it in order to play.

That being said, NetEase Games has yet to reveal the regions where the mobile version of Bloodstained will be available, as well as when the release date will be.

However, it’s worth noting that the publisher specifically mentioned that an English language release is currently being worked on as well, so it’s safe to assume that the title will most likely be launched to the west.

In addition to that, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night’s mobile version will have a new UI that’s meant to make the game easier and smoother to control on a smartphone. Similar to other mobile titles, there will be on-screen buttons for players to press in order to control the character.

Not only that, but potential players of the mobile version will have their very own achievement system. The mobile players won’t have to worry about missing out on any content because all the features found on the original version will also be available on the mobile port.

Following Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night’s release, the title gathered a slew of positive reactions and reviews from its players, mostly because the game’s heroine, Miriam, is considered by fans to be one of the most excellent characters of last year.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night was also released on the Nintendo Switch, and was considered to be a massive hit. As a matter of fact, the Switch sales for the game far exceeded the developer’s expectations.

As such, it doesn’t come as a surprise that fans have been excited about this news. You can watch the game’s story trailer above, and while it’s not exactly a video specifically made for the mobile release, it provides players with a pretty good idea about what the upcoming mobile port will provide its fans.

On the other hand, there are some fans who are a bit skeptical about Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night being released on mobile.

For one thing, it’s assumed to be a heavy game, so we have yet to see how the mobile platform will handle the title. Especially since fans have been complaining about Bloodstained’s performance issues on the Switch even after receiving multiple updates that were supposed to help with that.

Among Us Players Exploit Invisibility Glitch

0
releaseweek_promos3

The sudden popularity of Among Us this summer has caught the video game community and the developer InnerSloth itself by surprise. The social deduction title was initially released in 2018, but it only started getting recognition this year – two years after its launch.

If, for some reason, you’re unfamiliar with the game, Among Us is an online co-op title that separates players into two categories: Crewmates and Impostors. The thing is, the majority of the players will be given the role of Crewmate, while only a few will be selected as Impostors.

Of course, the actual Crewmates won’t know who the Impostors are, which is why they will have to do their best to blend in with the rest and ensure that the others won’t find them suspicious.

The Crewmates are given various tasks to complete around the map, while Impostors are tasked to slowly eliminate the Crewmates before they get to finish their duties in order to win the game.

Unsurprisingly, some Among Us players have tried to hack and cheat their way through the game in order to gain an unfair advantage above the other players, so much so that honest fans have been complaining about the rise in cheaters in-game.

kcbpxl-2398885

On the other hand, some players have resorted to exploiting glitches found in the game in a desperate attempt to win. That being said, most of the bugs found in Among Us aren’t that much of a hindrance to the gameplay – except for one glitch that renders a player invisible.

The invisibility glitch only works if you’re an Impostor, and as the name implies, the glitch allows you to become invisible to the rest of the crew if you are able to vent at the right time.

In order to trigger the glitch during a public game of Among Us, the Impostor will have to use the vent right before a body is found or as soon as someone issues an emergency meeting.

If you get to time this correctly, your sprite will still remain visible to you, but the other players won’t be able to see it anymore. That being said, it appears that the glitch is not too overpowered, as it appears that it has its limitations as well.

Namely, the invisibility glitch will automatically stop when you successfully kill a Crewmate.

Of course, having a powerful glitch like this that other players can exploit surely takes the fun away from Among Us. While it may be fun for those invisible Impostors who can easily pick off the Crewmates one by one, it’s definitely frustrating and unfair to those Crewmates who just want to play an honest game.

As of now, we’re still unsure if Among Us developer InnerSloth has already been made aware of this glitch. However, we can only hope that it will release a patch that fixes the issue soon, given how the utilization of this invisibility glitch can seriously affect the title’s overall gameplay.

In other news, the online multiplayer continues to grow in popularity, so much so that it’s actually almost as popular as Pokemon Go when it was released in 2016. We can’t wait to see what InnerSloth has in store for Among Us, especially since new features are currently being worked on.

Where to find all the Ultra Beasts in The Crown Tundra DLC

0
maxresdefault-4-7

The release of Pokemon Sword and Shield’s second and supposedly last expansion has brought with it tons of new content which makes The Crown Tundra an immersive gaming experience from start to finish.

For Pokemon fans that are planning to complete the entire experience, they should consider accomplishing the expansion’s story first then take on the quests on getting all the Pokemon available in the game including catching Legendary and Mythical monsters in the game. The Crown Tundra offers 11 returning unique Pokemon from the previous games – the Ultra Beasts from Pokemon Sun and Moon.

In fact, players will have to go through all the three major quests in the expansion called Legendary Clues. This means beating and capturing the Regis Pokemon family, the three legendary birds, and returning Calyrex to its original form. The quests are called The Legendary Giants, The Bird of Pokemon Legend, and The King of Bountiful Harvests respectively.

After going through the Crown Tundra’s storyline and finished all of the three abovementioned quests, a fourth and final Legendary Clue will appear. Particularly, this last clue will show itself as part of the plot where Peony accidentally drops it for the main character to pick up.

Examining the clue, it contains the image of a Max Lair with a gleaming whole on its top which represents the wormhole where the Ultra Beasts are resting. Players who previously played Pokemon Sun and Moon or Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon should be familiar with the location.

Talking to Peony after looking at the fourth and final Legendary Clue will trigger several cutscenes. Afterward, the events will lead players to the location to finally encounter and possibly catch the Ultra Beasts.

The 11 returning Ultra Beasts are:

  • Xurkitree
  • Stakataka
  • Poipole
  • Pheromosa
  • Nihilego
  • Naganadel
  • Kartana
  • Guzzlord
  • Celesteela
  • Buzzwole
  • Blacephalon

Now that the Ultra Beasts are revealed, the challenge of catching them should be a fairly difficult task. To catch an Ultra Beasts, players must enter the dungeons of Dynamax Adventures and hope that there is an Ultra Beast waiting for them at the end of the tunnel. However, the Ultra Beasts found in the deepest tunnels of the Dynamax Adventures will be random.

Players who have finished the main game and The Isle of Armor expansion should now have powerful Pokemon to help them finish the Dynamax Adventures. However, catching these Ultra Beasts is not easy so it pays to come prepared before planning to enter the Dynamax Adventures tunnels.
